LOCATION Nambour has turned a corner over the past decade with Nambour Alliance and Sunshine Coast Council investing money into infrastructure and innovative projects. There is a direct correlation with these commitments and the population growth and new businesses moving to the area. To accommodate the growth, Nambour is undergoing two large infrastructure projects: Nambour General Hospital redevelopment and a local tram line. Nambour General Hospital Redevelopment The $86 million redevelopment will see an increase to the capacity and an upgrade to certain clinical areas within the hospital. Nambour Tramline To help activate the community and maintain the heritage that is associated with Nambour, TNTCo (The Nambour Tramway Company) have teamed up with council and private investors to deliver a local tram line by 2021. The solar powered tram will run from Tram Terminus in Mill Street to the southern end of Quota Park, along Mill and Howard Street outside of Aldi and the subject site.
