WELCOME

The squashing of concerns around negative gearing and two successive interest rate adjustments have added confidence to an already robust investor market. Appetite is particularly strong for multitenanted freehold properties, regardless of tenant covenants. We suspect this is in response to continued lender focus on buyer serviceability and risk mitigation.

A word from Michael The Sunshine Coast was not immune to the election and extended Easter Anzac period that really put the brakes on any pro-active business decision making across the region for most of the second quarter of this year. The positive rebound since the election has more than made up for this temporary dip, with notable increases in activity across most market sectors. This was reflected across the Ray White Commercial group nationally, with June comfortably ending as the most productive month of the financial year, up 12% on 2018.

This is a great achievement and testament to her dedication. Infrastructure investment across the Sunshine Coast continues to buoy investor and business sentiment. All lead indicators imply the region is nearing a market peak, with strong market conditions expected to maintain through to the next benchmark of the 2020 US election. The Caloundra industrial market has experienced a strong first half of the year, with increased occupation rates across SCIP, Aura & Caloundra West all reflecting a greater interest in our Southern most coastal market.
