PROJECT TIMELINE
This is the year 2038. Digital life has begun to integrate into human life. AR interactive devices have matured and have gradually started to replace mobile phones. In newly built future cities such as The Line, Saudi Arabia, people use AR glasses for daily life and communication. Digital interaction technology allows people to communicate with each other as different identities in reality. These avatars are based on blockchain technology, are unique, and ultimately difficult to replicate. However, people can decide which identity they want to use in different scenarios. For example, one can instantly switch images at work, or while shopping, depending on how they want to express themselves. This is to effectively let people express their identities in a way that makes them feel good about themselves.

RESEARCH OF IDENTITY
THE TRADITIONAL IDENTITY FORM
Tattooing practices and identity symbols unique to China's ethnic minorities.
Tattoo is an important feature of Dai men, equivalent to the "race card" and "identity card". Having no tattoo is considered a betrayal of the Dai and an individual is no longer recognized as a descendant of the Dai. The individual is discriminated against by society, especially women. Men's tattoos are magnificent signs, a symbol of bravery and martial arts, highly favoured by women; and not being tattooed is equivalent to not being able to distinguish “between male and female white buffalo” and also could make the person unable to find a partner.
LIFE STYLE? ART/ CLOTH TASTE? BELIEF?
SOCIAL CIRCLE? GENDER COGNITION?
THE ADVANCED IDENTITY FORM
A Comprehensive Survey on ECG Signals as New Biometric Modality for Human Authentication: Electrocardiogram (ECG) has extremely discriminative characteristics in the biometric field and has recently received significant interest as a promising biometric trait.
THE ADVANCED IDENTITY FORM
The subdermal bistable 2 pigment E Ink display system is implanted using the same method by which permanent tattoos are implanted. By placing the E Ink microcapsules right below the epidermis, the color-switching capsules can be seen through the skin, creating a grayscale display along a 4-inch by 6-inch area of the forearm.
CONCEPT
"In a sense, colours, gems and tattoos were the NFTs of the ancient world. Today, NFT projects are like digital tattoos. They can signify uniqueness and therefore, identity within a group. This is harder to obtain through other methods."
Since NFTs are unique blockchain tokens, they also have attributes such as transparency. Because of this transparency, we can trace the ownership of NFTs from one owner to the other, which affects the value of a NFT. This feature opens up many more possibilities for NFTs. It is a future possibility that such tokens will form new architectures, such as a new form of identity. Passports are a typical form of identity in modern society based on traditional identification methods containing basic personal information. However, they're imitable, with their portability and efficiency still lacking. There is also a category of blockchain tokens known as Soulbound Tokens (SBTs), which are publicly verifiable and non-transferable. Identity today is also becoming a more fluid concept, where people want to express themselves better. NFTs could have an important role to play in this area. Pur group would like to exploit the properties of the NFTs to explore the potential of both, fluid and permanent identities. For example, in the context of NFT, this could be a starting point in addressing and discussing issues such as appearance anxiety and identity that exist in real life and possible future outcomes to reduce that in the future. We want to demonstrate the unrestricted enjoyment of new types of identity based on digital technology tools.
Our
CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT
She is the first character we ever created. Disowned by her family, she lives on subsistence allowance and enjoys painting and writing. She enjoys colours like red and pink and fantasises that one day she can wear a beautiful wedding dress. Her dress and appearance, as well as her ambiguous gender, were criticized and discriminated against. Influenced by rural China in 1960s in childhood, she likes to wear exaggerted makeup, colourful flowers and red ribbons. She has a pet dog named Flower that she adores.

INSTALLATION EXPERIENCE
Location: Kensington Campus G floorFEEDBACK 6 Responses
We collected feedback from a few people who saw the installation. Here is what they had to say:
We will be taking this feedback into account if we develop our project further. For instance, if someone feels awkward standing in front of people while interacting with out installation, we can create a barrier so only one person can experience it at a time. We can also include more options for them to choose from. We would also look into the safety/anonymite concern expressed by one of the participants.
THE TEAM
Everyone in the group was collectively invovled in the ideation, conceptualisation, research process. There were frequent meetings to discuss the progress of the project. Apart from that, work was also divided equally amongst the team members.
