raise the Lord! We made it through another edition of the King’s and Queens magazine. After the success of the first magazine, Pastor Kunle Akindoju along with the team was determined to create a 2nd edition. As the saying goes, “There is no I in Team,” great minds came together to make this magazine successful. After countless meetings, conference calls, barrage of emails and text messages, the magazine team was able to put together another masterpiece.

The last 3 weeks was really crucial, at one point we thought we would not make our deadline. There were sleepless nights, with the occasional nightmare of not making the deadline. Also there were meetings into the wee hours of the morning (thanks to our families for their patience and tolerance), the team, with God’s guidance was able to pull together and help out one another to reach our goal. The Bible says in Ecclesiastes 4: 9-10 “Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, one will lift up his companion. But woe to him who is alone when he falls. For he has no one to help him up.” Every member really dedicated their time and energy into this project. I am proud to be a member of magazine team and I know I can always count on them.

RCCG ORIGIN

In July 1909, a son was born into the Akindayomi family of Ondo State of Nigeria. Even though this child grew up surrounded by idol worshippers, he knew there existed a greater power and yearned to know. “The God who created the earth and everyone on it”. This pursuit for God led him to the Church Missionary Society where he was baptized in 1927. Still spiritually unfulfilled, he joined the Cherubim and Seraphim church in 1931. Whilst there, he began to hear a voice within him saying, “You will be my servant.” Since this was not his intention, he decided to ignore the voice. This went on for seven years during which all the business ventures that he tried resulted into failure. In debt and without peace of mind, he found himself totally dependent on the grace of God. Here marked the beginning of a definite relationship with God.Totally broken, he yielded saying, “Lord, I will go wherever you want me to go.” He asked for signs to confirm that this was indeed God’s call. The confirmation came through the Bible passages of Jeremiah 1:4-10, Isaiah 41:10-13 and Romans 8:29-31. The Lord assured him that He would provide for all his needs, as he would not receive any salary from that point on. This proved to be a comforting reminder during the trials in the months ahead. He became married in 1941. He continued to worship with the Cherubim and Seraphim. In 1947, he started to become concerned that the church was departing from the true Word of God in some of its practices. By 1952, he felt totally persuaded to leave the church. He started at Willoughby Street, Ebute-Metta, Lagos a housefellowship called, the Glory of God Fellowship. Initially there were nine members but before long the fellowship rapidly grew as the news of the miracles that occurred in their midst spread. Pa Akindayomi also had a vision of words that appeared to be written on a blackboard. The words were “The Redeemed Christian Church of God.” Amazingly, Pa Akindayomi who could not read or write was supernaturally able to write these words down. In this visitation, God also said to him that this church would go to the ends of the earth and that when the Lord Jesus Christ appeared in glory, He would meet the church. The Lord then established a covenant with Pa Akindayomi, synonymous to the Abrahamic covenant in the Bible. He said that He the Lord would meet all the needs of the church in an awesome way if only members would serve Him faithfully and be obedient to His Word. It is upon this covenant that the Redeemed Christian Church of God was built. Thus, the Redeemed Christian Church of God was born in 1952, destined by the Lord Himself to take the world for Him. The church continued to meet at 9 Willoughby Street until they were able to acquire some land thereby witnessing a relocation to the present site of the Headquarters of the church at 1-5 Redemption Way, Ebute-Metta, Lagos (formerly 1a, Cemetery Street). Sometime in the early 70s, God had spoken to Pa Akindayomi about his successor. The Lord told him that this man who was not a member of the church then, would be a young educated man. Thus when a young university lecturer joined the church in 1973, Papa was able to recognize him in the Spirit as the one that the Lord had spoken about in the past. This man, Enoch Adejare Adeboye who was then a lecturer of Mathematics at the University of Lagos soon became involved in the church. He became one of the interpreters translating Pa Akindayomi’s sermons from Yoruba to English. He was ordained a pastor of the church in 1975. Papa was preparing to meet his Creator. He sent for Pastor Adeboye and spent several hours sharing with him details of the covenant and the plans of the Lord for the church. Even though a year before this, the Lord had revealed to Pastor Adeboye that he would be Papa’s successor, it was still too difficult for him to fully contemplate such an awesome responsibility. Pa Josiah Akindayomi was 71 years old when he died. Amidst controversy, Pastor Adeboye’s appointment was formalized by the reading of Pa Akindayomi’s sealed pronouncement after his burial. What We Believe

About the Bible We believe that the entire scripture, both Old and New Testaments are written by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit – II Timothy 3:16-17. All the Christian teachings and the Christian attitude of the Children of God are such as are established in the Holy Bible – II Timothy 3:10-15; II Peter 1:21; John 17:17; Psalm 119:105. About God As revealed unto us by the Bible, we believe that there is only one God, who is Creator of visible and invisible creatures – Genesis 1:1; Psalm 86:9-10; Isaiah 43:10-11; John 1:1-3. Only God will be existence forever – Ezekiel 3:14. In God, every creature receives life – John 5:26. About Jesus Christ We believe that He is the Son of God; who took away our sins, and the Savior of the world. We also believe that Jesus is God and was born of Mary the Virgin. He is God revealed in the flesh. Through Him all things were created, Matthew 1:18-25; Isaiah 9:6; 53:5-6. We believe in His death on the cross and His resurrection by which He brought redemption; Isaiah 53:4-10; 1 Peter 2:23; John 10:11; Galatians 3:13; Matthew 20:28; I Corinthians 15:3; Romans 4:25; II Corinthians 5:14; Hebrews2:9, 9:26. About the Holy Spirit The Holy Spirit is the third person in the TRINITY. He has the same power, the same glory with God the Father and the God the Son – John 14:16-17. He is the one with the Father and the Son who is to be worshipped and served. He performs the work of regeneration for man – John3:5-6; the work of Sanctification in the born-again souls – John 16:8. This same Holy Spirit endows believers with gifts – I Corinthians 12:7. He empowers one in the Lord – Acts 1:8. About the Devil We believe that the there is a devil, who speaks the downfall of every man. He brought sickness, sins and death into the world – Genesis 3:1-16. He seeks the destruction of those who exercise their faith in the Lord Jesus – Matthew 4:1-11. The devil has several unclean spirits over whom he governs – Matthew 12:24. A time would soon come when he shall be thrown into the pit and chained for one thousand years – Revelation 20:7-9. After

this, he will be put into the lake of fire where he will remain suffering together with his followers and ever – Revelation 20:10. Justification on New Birth This is God’s grace whereby we are cleansed from our sins by which we are able to stand before God as though we have never sinned – Acts 13:39; Romans 3:25-26, 5:1. Sanctification (Holiness) Sanctification is another grace of God by which our souls are progressively and completely cleansed. This is the second accomplishment of the grace which through our faith in the Blood of Jesus Christ is wrought after we have been justified and freed from our sins or regenerated – John 17:15-17; I Thessalonians 4:3 Water Baptism We believe that water baptism is by immersion. We do not baptize infants as they are not at the age of accountability. Our members are baptized after conversion and undergoing believers and water baptism classes and are thereafter fully part of our fellowship – Acts 2:24. Divine Healing Healing without medicine is biblical – Matthew 4:23; Psalm 103:3. Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil – I John 3:8. Christ purchased our souls from the curse of sin. He bore our infirmities and carried our sorrows – Matthew 8:15-17. By His stripes we are healed – Isaiah 53:4-5. Resurrection We experience daily the resurrection of the Spirit of all the born-again souls who are passed from death to life – Ephesians 6:14; Romans 6:11; John 5:20. There is resurrection of the body. Jesus taught us plainly that the buried body will be raised up from the tomb at the last day – Job 5:28-29. The Second Coming of Christ The Second Coming of Jesus Christ will be in a physical form and will be visible to all in like manner as He was seen ascending up to heaven – Acts 1:9-11; John 14:3. His return will be in two stages: a) Christ’s return in the sky – the saints or Bride of Christ will be ruptured to meet Christ in the sky – I Thessalonians 4:15-17 b) His return to the earth – He will return to the earth to judge the sinners and the ungodly. The Lord’s Day We believe that the first day of the week called Sunday is a special day which the believer should come gather to worship. The Lord resurrected on the first day of the week – Mark 16:9.

PASTOR KUNLE AKINDOJU

Our path in life is often determined by the choices we make, and our choices are influenced by the information we have. As a church, the Lord says it’s time to show the world what He has impacted in us these last six years. As a church, it’s time to pass the light and let people around us experience the glory of God within us. 1 Peter 2:12 says “Having your conduct honorable among the Gentiles, that when they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they observe, glorify God in the day of visitation”. Our conduct must be such that unbelievers will be drawn to our light and the God that influences our actions. Joshua was given an assignment to possess the land for the children of God, but only partially succeeded in carrying out the assignment. In Joshua 13:1, the Lord confronted Him and said “you are old, advanced in years, and there remains very much land yet to be possessed”. The people of the land that Joshua was unable to possess became a thorn in the flesh of the Israelites. As a church, God has endowed us with a special grace, and impacted us with wisdom and a spirit of excellence that positions us to be of great influence in our society. Paul says in 2 Cor. 6:1 “We then as workers together with Him, also plead with you not to receive the grace of God in Vain”. I pray that God’s grace on our life as a church will not be in vain! We have been strategically positioned to take the entire region of Atlanta for God; by his grace, we will not fail. Jesus said in Matthew 5:16 “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your father in Heaven”. King’s Court Chapel, “Pass the light” because God has set you upon a hill and you can’t be hidden.

Our Vision We are determined to make it to Heaven taking as many people as possible with us, utilizing all our resources to provide a Christ centered setting where people in our community can be redeemed to a personal relationship with God.

our Mission We are committed to excellence because we serve an excellent God. We are committed to using our unique cultural background as a people to minister the Word of God, influencing generations by the power of our vision, treating each other with dignity and respect. We are committed to providing services and fellowship that will improve the well being of all those connected to the church and the surrounding community. We are committed to seeing people enjoy wholeness in all areas of their lives.

General Overseer Visits King’s Court Chapel

t was truly a memorable day on the 27th of October 2008, when the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God Worldwide Pastor E.A. Adeboye unilaterally decided to come and bless King’s Court Chapel. A sudden phone call from Pastor James Fadele—Chairman Board of Coordinators North America—a week earlier had informed our Pastor of the General Overseer’s decision to visit the church. The General Overseer’s decision was based on information he received about the performance of King’s Court Chapel among all the parishes in zone nine. The short visit was greatly appreciated by the church, because it was purposely designed to place the G.O’s anointing on the people and the church. He was accompanied by Pastor James Fadele, Pastor Ghandi Olaoye and Pastor Johnson Adefila. It will remain a great memory for the congregation of King’s Court Chapel. worried and anxious but nothing changed. I was reasoning it out with God that “Father your word says we must be productive but It’s our year of with out a job how can I be productive.” Two months passed by elevation!! God with me sending out resumes and going for interviews but it all has promised resulted into nothing and I was mentally and physical worn out us at King’s from job hunting. Then rather than miss quoting the word of God Court Chapel that to Him, I said to Him that I would rather perfect my relationship He will elevate us with Him and serve His kingdom. I have not been more fruitful this year. Always in my life, than when I began to work for the kingdom. Indeed, remember that God the “harvest is plenty but the laborers are few” Luke 10:2, and is not a man that the wilderness became my place of divine encounter with Jesus. lies or changes His I mean it was the best time of my life; the Holy Spirit was so mind. Just after real that I could almost touch Him and He always proved to the promise of God be more than I would ever need. During that period, I heard a came to you, you message that Pastor had preached a year before I joined the lost your job within church titled “He brought you out to bring you in”, one thing the the first week of the Lord told me was He is about to bring me into my promise land. New Year, or you got a bad report from the doctor, or your spouse serves you with the divorce papers or some kind of crisis arose in Not long after, I got a call from the same company trying to your life, then you ask yourself “where is the elevation that God bring me back on board on a 2 weeks project the next week. I promised”? You are not alone; believe in the promise of God because became a little worried because I knew I would miss the long you are just being setup for a testimony. The same thing happened to days and nights working with the Lord. It the children of Israel in the book of Exodus, after ..I gave my life to Christ was then I cried out in my heart to God, God got them out of Egypt and promised them at KCC the Pastor Kunle “Please Lord one more week before I start a land “flowing with milk and honey” Exodus Akinjodu prayed for me and working at the company.” God honored 3:8. Almost immediately after the promise, they said I should believe God my prayer. The next day I was called back faced a crisis called the wilderness for 40 years for a Job and everything changed, from the company not to start the next and some even died there. Problems will still come God began to move on my behalf.” week but in 2 weeks. To the glory of even though God has promised. The good news God, I’m still working at the company today, is that you don’t have to die in your wilderness; a two weeks project turned permanent. I was unemployed you can still get to the promise of your elevation. for 4 months and God revealed Himself to me when I stopped seeking His hands and started seeking His face. Employment will I remember on the 17th of July 2005 when I rededicated my life to come and go, problems and crisis will come and some may not Jesus at King’s Court Chapel, I had graduated from Georgia Tech for go, you may find yourself in plenty or in lack but none of that a year and six months without a job at the time. But when I gave should separate you from the love of Jesus. Also examine the my life to Christ; Pastor Kunle Akinjodu prayed for me and said I reasons for your relationship with Jesus. If it is only because of should believe God for a Job and everything changed, God began what you are getting, you may not survive the wilderness; you to move on my behalf. By August 2005, a classmate of mine from need to refocus on Jesus, because He is the same, yesterday Georgia Tech whom I have not spoken to in over a year; called me today and forever. No matter what you are going through or and said he was up all night thinking of me for a job. He didn’t what you have lost, always focus on gaining Christ because even know what the job skills for the job was, but he just knew in Him is everything and apart from Him we can do nothing. it was for me; he wasn’t even a believer. But God will use anyone to get you to your promise land. By the time I called on Friday for Jesus was in the wilderness for 40 days, and children of Israel the job I had already missed the application deadline. I really felt were in the wilderness for 40 years. How long you spend in the confused because I believed that the job was a promise from God, wilderness depends on your relationship with God. It is easy to but little did I know that I was being setup for a testimony. I went praise and thank God when everything is going good, but can you to Church that weekend and had a wonderful time in the presence praise and thank God when you are in the middle of a crisis? In of the Lord during the praise and worship. The message from the fact, in a crisis you should increase your praise and thanksgiving Pastor was very timely, encouraging and spirit lifting. I just began and set your heart on Jesus. No matter what we go through, to thank God for this love, I didn’t even remember about the job God’s promises will always come to pass. In the good times and anymore. On Monday morning I received a call from the company bad times He is still on the throne and He is always working to come for an interview on Tuesday and by Friday I was working everything out for the good of those who love Him and are called at the company! It happened so quickly I didn’t know what to say by His purpose Romans 8:28. It is convenient to get discouraged but to testify of God’s goodness. I was just telling everybody about when we are in a crisis and complain and spend 40 years in that what God had done, but up until this point I could not really tell if I problem. But with the same energy, you have a choice to love loved God because of what he did with the job, or because of what God even more. Seek His face in the wilderness and He will be Jesus did at the cross. In other words, it would soon be time to face found. Jesus alone will carry you through the troubled times my wilderness. The test of your love for God is very important and into your promise of elevation this year. Remember “after the significant in your walk with God. The children of Israel, after crossing wilderness comes the Promise land.” In this troubled times, the red sea, praised God with all their strength and with songs of please choose the attitude of thanksgiving toward God and do praises, but in the wilderness they turned on God and complained not compromise your faith because you will be elevated this year about everything He was doing and became very ungrateful. no matter what you are going through now, in Jesus name. Amen In the wilderness, your true feelings towards God is revealed. -Toyin Odumade In December of 2005 I was let go from the company, I had walked into my wilderness. For the first couple of weeks it wasn’t so bad because it was the holiday season and the Church had many activities that occupied me. But by the second week in January 2006, I began to get

“Born Anew” by Yinka Oso

My mind, like a sponge, soaks in weaknesses – bathed by mounted dire experiences. My body, like an unfortified house, reveals vulnerabilities comfortably sheltered by a protective façade. My soul, like the newly widowed – vacant, lifeless – yearns for the unfeasible gratification from the departed. Atop the brink of selfinflicted wounds, I give out a resounding squeal. With weeping eyes closed and burdened fists clenched, I cry – Take me there, unclothe my innermost insecurities, Unveil a true work of art formerly shutout to reality. Then I felt it. I mean, I saw it… With outstretched arms and now unclenched fists, I touched it At that very moment, it became Him and I – A warm embrace he gave as He whispered softly in my ears – Yes! You see me smiling because I can hear it so clearly now – “Place ALL your cares and burdens on me, MY

orld renowned child psychologist and World renowned child psychologist and psychotherapist Dr. Haim Ginott was once quoted saying “children are like wet cement… whatever falls on them makes an impression.” The innovative author could not have used a better description to explain how children are affected by their surroundings. Growing up in a Christian home, where one or both of the parents are practicing Christians, is an experience that many people can relate to. The principles taught in this environment, not only affected our mindset inside the home, they helped shape the ways we interact with the world around us. One of the important principles is the power of prayer; from the age of 5 we are expected to know how to cover ourselves and others with the Blood of Jesus. In addition to prayers, Bible verses have to be memorized and said when applicable. Most people would agree with the fact that learning one or more of Psalms 1, 19, 23, 91, or 121 were inevitable. Though you may not want to admit it to good ol’ mom and dad, these verses were necessary tools in our daily combat with temptation and doubt.

are immeasurable. Strict curfews and belief of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

What then makes growing up in Kings Court Chapel different? For me the experience has been a truly unique one. From the birth and growth of the youth program to the development of a viable singles program, the church has truly applied the doctrine spelled out in Proverbs 22: 6 “train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” Though many people that are in both programs were not there from the beginning of the church there is still a strong link between the youth and singles. The fundamentals outlined in the youth groups are further reinforced in the Eagles as can be attested to through the mentoring programs that create a route of communication between the two groups. Placid smiles and cool tones frame the life that I have known for the last few years. It would be false to say that everything is easy. Especially, because of my place as the pastor’s daughter, growing in the church has been a true challenge. I always laugh when people talk about Pastor being tough, I wonder what they think it’s like to live under the gaze of the pastor all day, every day. Even more than the ever-watching eyes of Pastor are the watching eyes of the congregation. Every move I make becomes the topic of discussion in small circles; everybody becomes my parent. I have heard some liken being a Pastor’s child to growing up in a fishbowl: I am watched, put under display, and yet isolated. It would be dishonest for me to say that I have not felt and continue to feel that way from time to time. Yet I have seen growth through my time here. Kings Court Chapel has its up and downs like any other church or family. It may seem overwhelming in the beginning adjusting to the new faces that, in turn bring new concerns, such as finding where you fit into the scheme of church. Luckily it will not take long to understand the beauty and the grace that come from the extended family you have now inherited—a new home to grow in . -Subomi Akindoju

The Kings Court Chapel clinic specifically provides healthcare for those that are uninsured. The following was extracted from a seminar from one of the Church’s Physicians, Dr. Anedi Eme-Akwari.

Biblical Perspective on Health 3rd John:2 ‘ Beloved, I pray that you may prosper and be in health just as your soul prospers’. Genesis 1:7 ‘ And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of LIFE ; and man became a living soul.’ The fall of man from dominion did bring in the corruption of sin which led to spiritual and physical death. In Genesis 3:22-24 we discover that God physically prevented Adam and Eve from eating of the tree of life because He did not want them to be forever trapped in a life on earth in their fallen state. Ecclesiastes 12:7 ‘then the dust will return to the earth as it was, and the spirit will return to God who gave it’. A Time to Live and a Time to Die All cells have a limited lifespan Apoptosis is the process of programmed cell death which the body uses to eliminate damaged or unneeded cells Cancer is a group of abnormal cells that grow more rapidly than normal cells and refuse to die. Cancers cells are disobeying the order to die in the right time As such, cancer cells have the ability to invade and destroy normal tissues They do this either by direct growth or by spreading to other body parts Definition of Health The World Health Organization or W.H.O defines health as: “A state of complete physical, mental and social

well being and not merely the absence of disease or Infirmity”. To this definition I would dare to also add spiritual well- being as this is also a very important aspect of health that is much neglected. ROYAL GENERATION How does one pass the light? Is it like passing a test, or like passing “Go” in Monopoly? Well based on the story of Jonah you must not be afraid to pass the light. Jonah was told by God to go preach to the people of Ninevah, and he disobeyed God because he was scared. And guess what happened to him. God had to make a whale swallow him for 3 days to teach him a lesson and make him do what he was told to do. That’s probably not how you would want to spend a weekend. I’m sure it was not a fun experience, all because he was too afraid to pass the light. You say you are not afraid to pass the light? When is the last time you talked to someone about Jesus in school, at a get-together, or sleepover? Sometimes passing the light is through actions not just words. Some ways to pass the light through actions include: being kind, not being mean to those that are mean to you, and most importantly being obedient to God’s word. God’s word tells us to love above all. Jesus has promised to never leave you, so whenever you are afraid to pass the light just call upon him in prayer. He will be there to give you the courage that you need, and then you will shine everywhere you go! KINGS & QUEENS

It is at such a time, when the rest of the neighbors are still in bed that the family pulls of out of the Subdivision. The SUV roars down the winding street and merges onto the interstate. The 2 hour journey to the place of refuge has just begun. The voice of excited children echo all through the car, as Mom and Dad engage in small conversation. Dad is at the steering wheel, while Mom occasionally looks behind to hush the happy shriek of the 3 kids in the back seat. “Last Sunday, I learnt about when time stood still” the youngest of the kids says, “Mom, do you know that Joshua prayed and God made time roll-back”. Without waiting for a response from her mother, she adds “I love learning bible stories”.

ARE WE THERE YET?

While Mom is still trying to process it all, the first of two sons adds “The activities are great and the way the teachers present the word of God to me makes me relate to the stories in the bible”. The younger son simply yells “Are we there yet? I can’t wait to paint on my new coloring book”… Soon a conversation begins that has everyone affirming why they love the place of refuge. Dad in his baritone voice bellows “Every time I hear the word, I find out that it is just what I needed to hear, it is what gets me through the week” he continues. “The funny thing about it is I now understand why it is called a daily bread”. “Just as you kids need to eat food to grow strong and healthy, so also does the word we receive for the week need to be meditated on and acted upon. The good thing about it is you need to reinforce the word you receive every Sunday by studying your bible and devotionals on a daily basis. All of these, when combined, strengthens your relationship with God” he explains.

It was like a thousand midnights, and you noticed the few stumbling in the dark. In the midst of the darkness they chose a master—the blind leading the blind. And they eagerly seek a glimpse of light, but the greatest tragedy was in your house, because you who have the light of God in you have hidden yourself under the table. “No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house.” Matthew 5:15. Is your light shining for everyone to see? How is your light affecting the world around you? Instantly Isaiah 60: 1 “Arise, shine, for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee” became the term of your life, because you are the light and you must shine and you can hide no more. Then the choir stated singing let there be light and it was as if the words of the song sparked the light within you. But the night was just getting started as Pastor Kunle lit the candle of Pastor Bolaji and she in turn lit the candle to the next people to her. One at a time candles were lit around the church. Then Pastor said you have a responsibility to pass the light, and as this responsibility falls on you: You must choose to be a good example Abstain from every form of evil that will affect the way people see you. PASS THE LIGHT Not very often do we hear the many grave persecutions that Christians go through in their daily lives as they try preaching the word. When most people are asked what motivates them to pass the light? They start saying “it’s an instruction” from the Lord which is true as He directs us in Mark 16 v 15-16 saying “Go ye into all the world and preach the good news to all creation.” This admonition is in essence a way of telling us, His children to pass the Light. In passing the light, many of us have endured hardships, broken hearts, betrayal and much more; however, what about those that are put in harm’s way physically? Recently, it was estimated that over 200 million Christians in over 60 countries are suffering persecution. Although many of the people being persecuted are missionaries, evangelists, pastors, etc and we may wonder if we have truly experienced sacrifice for God’s sake. Do not despair. We should know that we can also pass the light in little ways in our individual lives. Although, it may not seem much to you, a little goes a long way when God is involved. Imagine trying to pass the light and you have to compromise your beliefs just for a few moments of being perceived as “cool”. Recently, a young lady was trying to share the good news in her school and she proceeded to talk to a guy. Not knowing he was a staunch Muslim, she began to talk about her beliefs and living the Christian lifestyle in this ever changing world. The guy, an avid learner of religions soon began completing her sentences and finding verses to back both the Christian and Islamic religion up. She soon found herself backing down since she didn’t know any exact verses and just had a general idea of what her faith and beliefs were about. However, she did not back down from trying to share the gospel. She came back the next day with exact verses determined to “fight” her way through sharing the gospel. However, when it came time to share, she decided to share the news by her actions. Instead of hammering him with verses, she started talking with a soft, kind and gentle voice and was determined to pass the light by her actions and words. Although, she may not have fully convinced him, he could see a light that shined through her in her actions, character, friends, etc. Till today, they both are still great friends and he thinks she’s the “coolest” girl he ever met in the school that they even talk about their religions respectfully. There are lessons to be learnt from this story: Although the girl did not know the exact verses to back up her belief, she went back and studied so that next time, she would be more confident in her approach. Although she was determined to “fight” her way through the next time she talked the guy, she gave way and allowed the Holy Spirit to take control. She made sure her actions always spoke louder than her words. Following the word, she covered everything she did with love. What if she knew all the verses and exactly what to say? What if she came on too strong? She may have turned him off and he would get the wrong impression of Christians. Also, some people make some mistakes while trying to pass the light of which the first includes; coming on too strong. Yes, you’re sure of your beliefs and you know every single verse and what to say to make someone feel aware of their sinful life. However, we need to leave the remaining work to the Holy Spirit to do all the conviction and just sit back and watch Him do what He does best. In our efforts to pass the light, let us remember that the light must be in us first and only then can we see clearly to pass onto someone else. - Busola Adeyemi (page34) - toyin odumade (page 33)

Why we Hold The Ladder? “God’s love is the first thing that motivates me.When I consider how unconditionally God loves me; It motivates me a lot and that is why I give my all to work for God. There is a bible verse that says “what does it profit a man that gains the whole world and looses his life”Also, the impartation of knowledge from Pastor affects my life positively and the only thing I can do to appreciate God’s anointing on him is to support his ministry.” Sis Mary Sorungbe “15 years ago, if not for God I would have been dead due to some circumstances. but God kept me for this reason. I am determined to please Him in whatever I am doing “If you take care of God’s business, he would not leave your business. He saw that I had a passion in my heart to work for Him. I think there is still much more that I can do in the house of God. I am setting my mind on a higher calling. The Zeal of God is my drive and I still want to do more.” Bro. Deji Abejide “The first year that I joined this church I was still a young christian, because I kept some of my old ways. Through the ups and downs of life that I have been through,God revealed Himself to me. I have grown spiritually under Pastor Akindoju’s anointing from God. I believe in the principle of sowing and harvesting; the seeds I sow today might be the harvest that I will stumble on in the future; this keeps me motivated.Though I am a single mother,I feel a special love from members of this church. But our Pastor is major reason for my service. He is selfless and, passionate about the church members.” Sis. Femi Oke “God’s love first and foremost motivates me to work in His house. Also seeing how Pastor dedicates all his time and energy is encouragement to do more. When Pastor calls asking me to do something, I do it not just for him only, but also for the love I have for God and I always try to give it a hundred percent. I know there is more that I need to do and I always pray to God for His guidance.” Sis. Fisola Openiyi “I have gone through a lot,and God has been my deliverer. It is now time for me to deliver. I have discovered over the years that there is nothing else out there for me.And I have come to the realization that I get all the Security and Peace I need from doing God’s Work I always like to give 100%. I used to be a bench warmer when I first started coming to King’s Court, and when I’m not there, Pastor would call me and ask what was going on because he genuinely cared for me. I do what I do not to please Pastor personally, but to support his vision and works for God’s house. coincidentally, this brings me so much joy and peace.” Bro. Bayo Agbabiaka “I find pleasure in pleasing God.I have received numerous blessings from just being obedient to God’s servant. That is why I do what I do.”

“It just comes natural to me to do what I do;I believe it is what God wants me to do.I believe action speaks louder than words. My work is my language of love. I can do all these because God strengthens me and gives me the tools for this service. Also,He has given me good health, therefore, I can give time, myself, and whatever it requires to honor His name.My motivation for all of these stems from my joy in seeing people happy.” Sis Deola Akinade “I do what I do because I am motivated by the end results. I also receive great blessings from God.Moreover,I immensely love what I do. I enjoy being around people and being part of the greater vision of the church.” Sis. Olamide Lawson

“I honestly do not think or feel that I am doing anything extraordinary for the Church outside of what any one of us within the KCC family does. After all, the Spirit inspired sermons and activities that Pastor delivers consistently is motivation enough. I have no choice but to try to be Christ-like as much as possible. Remember our Lord’s prayer...thou will be done on earth as it is in Heaven...I’m just trying to do on earth as it is already in Heaven.” Bro. Emeka Ojibe “What motivates me is always trying to find solutions. Once you say something cannot be done about a particular situation, I strive to find solutions because I know there are solutions out there. I love being above the pack, being ahead is a driving force for me. I like to have or do things that make me more reliable and so I’m always pushing myself and giving. If something needs to be done and I’m capable of it, I’ll do it. I’m very target oriented.I think it’s God’s gift. The way I see it,helping people and seeing the job done is my reward for the day.” Sis. Ese Basharu

“A time comes in every one’s life, where you ask a question “Is there a God? A time also comes when you find a solution to the question. This is the day you give your life to Christ. It is a reality that God expects so much from us because He has given us so much. Nothing else makes sense to me without God; take God out of life, every other thing is meaningless. It’s a reality for me to schedule my time to fit into God’s work, it’s a reality for me to be a good custodian of God’s people and money, every other basis is pointless. It is this purpose that keeps me going; it is the purpose that drives me.” Bro. Bayo Odutola “If God gives you something to do he expects you to do it well and, with joy. If we are not willing to oblige God’s requests, he will find someone else to carry out his requests. God has a purpose for all his requests. We therefore must be obedient whenever God calls. Pastor Kunle is a great source of motivation for me spiritually and in my personal life. I can see the glory of God in our pastor. He is a good spiritual father which makes it easy to take direction from him.”

“I Feel fulfilled when I do God’s work. From early childhood, I had made a conscious decision to be available for God’s work. My biggest driving force is fear of being replaced by stones. Every time I have an opportunity to serve, the Bible verse that says Jesus will raise stones in our place to worship Him if His children will not ,always comes to my mind. What I do is not for myself,I do it for Him.Being a young Man, I feel like I have the time, energy and resources to work for God, I don’t want to wait till I’m old. At this stage, I’m doing my best and hopefully my best will continually and gradually improve as I grow older.”

mpowering For the

Amidst the doom and gloom all around, the church of God has continued to march on and prosper during these bitter times. Even in the bliss and glory God has imparted to the Church, He has also provided wisdom to last these turbulent times. Led by God, Pastor Kunle Akindoju initiated the move to begin the Training Classes which like in the days of old can be likened to Joseph’s timely interpretation of the Pharaoh’s dream and the mobilization of troops to gather enough crops during the years of plenty in anticipation for the years of famine. The training classes were established to empower and allow the attendees learn and develop new skills that are in line with the current trends out in the job market. Beginning with rudimentary computer skills, the class of over 50 anxious and determined students, kicked off with learning MS Office Suite. As early as 9:00 am, these students who were comprised of adults and teenagers from all works of life and varying professions were seated in anticipation for the daily course load. To aid them with the course load, the Church provided laptops, software as well as additional support (which was provided by the Brother’s Keepers department). The students were instructed on using MS Word; typing documents, formatting, basics of printing and a whole lot more. In the world of designing PowerPoint’s, the students had a fun-filled time as they created mock presentation slides, enjoyed use of slide “...empower and allow the attendees learn and animations, adding of develop new skills..” images as well as the best practices of creating PowerPoint’s and delivering contents during a presentation. Classes continued with the introduction of MS Access, a flexible database product developed by Microsoft. The class learnt how Access could be used to automate the storage of data for almost any scenario. Databases were learnt, tables were created and simple queries were generated to manipulate data entered into the tables. To top off the MS series, the class was schooled on the art of formula creation and cell data manipulation in MS Excel. The entire MS Office suite was just a tip of the iceberg as it helped bring the entire class to a level ground in terms of computer literacy. With the MS Office Suite training now over, and the students to par in terms of computer literacy, King’s Court Chapel went all out with the introduction of SAP FICO. To effectively train the students in SAP Financials, King’s Court recruited a couple of Industrial trainers to help teach interested participants these new and highly sought after skills. SAP financials happens to be one of four different solutions that SAP Enterprise Resource Planning has to offer. The financials module also referred to as FICO (Financials and Controlling) allows for external and internal reporting of financial information which can be used to make managerial decisions. By far the demand for skilled SAP FICO users has grown in the past couple of years due to recent regulatory standards and compliance measures such as SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) which ensures that organizations financial records and internal processes are as open and transparent as possible. The shortage of high-skilled SAP workers is making it difficult for SAP positions to be filled and has in turn sent the wage rate for such professionals sky-rocketing. In line with the church’s vision to provide computer training skills to less computer-savvy individuals, the Brother’s Keeper have constantly shown initiative and timely support for such programs. Once again these classes are free for all participants, as all training costs have already been paid for by the Church. In addition to a right atmosphere for learning, participants need to ensure that they are utilizing this opportunity to its maximum best. - Arthur Lance Orekyeh

rom whence cometh my help?” by ‘Yinka Oso

Trying to keep my head above the troubled waters… I reach out my hands to you, friend, and you spit in them, from whence cometh my help? Battling the raging seas of life’s hassles with very limited energy, I’m struggling, Don’t you see me? Save me, I’m fighting to stay afloat… Eyes tightly closed, mouth wide open, uncontrollably ingesting the salty waters, Save me, I’m still struggling, these bitter words weigh me down, such a heavy burden, It’s pulling me in deeper, save me, I’m drifting away, far, far away into the relentless ocean of adversity…please save me dear friend, don’t you see me? HELP!!! Then suddenly, I awake, eyes soaked with confusion, face drenched in frustration… And I think to myself, just another day in my life, my reality! On my weary shoulders, I house the pressures of life. Despised and rejected like an outcast, deserted by relatives and friends, Feeling like an orphan in a world supposedly full of hope, I ask, from whence cometh my help? This insurmountable load is taking a toll on me, wreaking havoc – Lurking in the crevices of my fragile mind, weakening my body, contaminating my soul. Feeling like prey, tossed into the wild to be ravaged by beasts, from whence cometh my help? At my lowest of lows, I drop down to my knees, With weeping eyes closed and tired arms outstretched to the heavens, With a thirsty spirit and trembling voice, I give a resounding cry to my maker, “Father! From whence cometh my help?” My God, have you forsaken me? How much more can I endure? Save me, Lord. I’m struggling. Break me free from those shackles that hold me down, Lift me up from the platter of rejection on which I lay my soul, Release me from man’s definition for my life, and use me as an instrument of your peace… As soon as I spoke those words, in that very moment, I felt a firm release and uplift. He appears to me and ministers to my very being, Then with His bare fingers He gloriously peels off every layer of frustration, pain, confusion… To cover up my nakedness, He clothes me with the full armor of God. He then holds me close, places my hands in the comfort of His, and whispers sweetly, gently in my ears – “I will never leave you nor forsake you my child!” And at that very instance, it became just Him and I. Now I stand steadfastly, reborn in the promise from a father to His child!

Before Saying

I

can imagine that there are married couples that wish they could have gotten one or two good advices before saying “I do” to their spouses. They probably would have benefited one way or the other and perhaps saved their marriages from some of the struggles and squabble they’ve had to endure with their mates. “...be able to see beyond his This is why I personally appreciate the “character” “Commandments of dating” which is a series of mentoring sessions created by Pastor Kunle Akindoju especially for the “Eagles,” the singles at King’s Court Chapel. These sessions are very insightful and absolutely necessary for anyone “dating” so you can make the right choice before it’s too late.

“I do”…

The following 7 points are some of the highlights so far from the ongoing series. These are some qualities you should look for and keep at the top of your mind when you’re choosing a mate to date…before you say “I do”… 5. Giving:

1. Faithfulness: You should look for traits of faithfulness in your partner, such as how well they treated their previous relationships. Can he or she keep a promise? And how faithful are they with work partners? This can expose you to their true intensions on how faithful they will be to you! 2. Commitment: You should look for someone who has and shows commitment in different things and areas of his her life. What you should seek is a person that has a covenant commitment rather than a contractual commitment. The latter can adjust based on a situation; however a person with a covenant commitment will ALWAYS do the right thing 100% at all times regardless of the situation. 3. Honesty: You should look for someone who is free of deception…there’s no “small lie.” Is he/she truly a genuine person and do they appear completely transparent in all matters? Or are there areas of their life that appear fabricated? 4. Forgiving: Is your mate able to forgive you regardless of what you do? How does he handle conflicts with you, his family or friends? Is she someone that will make you or pay for something you did or does she have a forgiving heart?

This part is not about material things, other than how he or she treats others. Is your mate a charitable person to friends and family or even his neighborhood? If he puts others first before him…then you got a good one! 6. Friends: You should watch his friends to get a clearer picture of who he is. Your task is to be able to see beyond his “character” (how he behaves when he’s not acting.) For instance, is he nice to you in front of his friends, but treats you awful privately? He might not be your “I do” guy! 7. Crisis Management: You should watch how he/she handles a crisis or an unexpected situation. A person that reacts to a sudden situation will almost always make a harsh decision; however a person who stops, then takes an action to resolve the situation will be a better mate in the end. I am aware that when it comes to choosing a mate and knowing what signs to look for, the list can get rather long. However, as children of God, you should always know that the first and foremost thing to look for before saying “I do” is that you are both “equally yoked” as commanded in the WORD of God (2 Corinthians 6: 14). Saying “I do” is a big step in your relationship and you should make sure you should always be on the alert and focus on the above points so you can make the RIGHT decision. God Bless! - Funke Daramola

PASSING THE WISDOM A Youth mentoring program

I

n this age of overwhelming exposure from the media, peer pressure and various public entities, it is of paramount importance that the Christian community sees the need to protect and guard our impressionable youths from falling prey to

misleading information and worldly celebrated “ideals. It is in this light that the Host Pastor, Kunle Akindoju in a timely manner, responded to this need by creating a mentoring program for teenagers between the ages 13 and 17. The Program is opened not only to the teenage members of Kings Court Chapel, but also to the immediate community. Tobi Akindoju (age 15) who has attended this program shares his experience below: The Teenage Mentoring Program is a special program offered to the adolescents in church in order to lead them in the right path. It is taught by Pastor and dedicated parents. This program has classes focused on discipline, making the right choices, and how to handle pressure from peers and friends. As a student, athlete and child of a Pastor, I know the importance of positive direction to a young person. These teachings can make all the difference for a Christian teenager if they have a place where they can candidly discuss pressing issues with other Christian teens. It teaches us how to apply Bible passages to deal with dilemmas and solve them in an acceptable and Christ-like manner. With determined mentoring like this, teenagers in this Church will surely grow up to become righteous leaders in our community. - TOBI AKINDOJU

FUNNY BONES One minister says that it doesn’t bother him at all if his members look at their watches during his sermons. It does affect him, however, when someone not only looks at his watch, but also holds it up to his ear to see if it’s still running

A man dies and goes to heaven. St. Peter meets him at the pearly gates. St. Peter says, “Here’s how it works. You need 100 points to make it into heaven. You tell me all the good things you’ve done, and I give you a certain number of points for each item, depending on how good it was. When you reach 100 points, you get in.” “Okay” the man says, “I attended church every Sunday” “That’s good, says St. Peter, “ that’s worth two points”

“Come on in!” The two thousand member Baptist church was filled to overflowing capacity one Sunday morning. The preacher was ready to start the sermon when two men, dressed in long black coats and black hats entered through the rear of the church. One of the two men walked to the middle of the church while the other stayed at the back of the church. They both then reached under their coats and withdrew automatic weapons. The one in the middle announced, “Everyone willing to take a bullet for Jesus stay in your seats!” Naturally, the pews emptied, followed by the choir. The deacons ran out the door, followed by the choir director and the assistant pastor. After a few moments, there were about twenty people left sitting in the church. The preacher was holding steady in the pulpit. The men put their weapons away and said, gently, to the preacher, “All right, pastor, the hypocrites are gone now. You may begin the service.” - Subomi Akindoju

“Two points?” he says. “Well, I gave 10% of all my earnings to the church” “Well, let’s see,” answers Peter, “that’s worth another 2 points. Did you do anything else?” “Two points? Golly. How about this: I started a soup kitchen in my city and worked in a shelter for homeless veterans.” “Fantastic, that’s certainly worth a point, “ he says. “hmmm...,” the man says, “I was married to the same woman for 50 years and never cheated on her, even in my heart.” “That’s wonderful,” says St. Peter, “that’s worth three points!” “THREE POINTS!!” the man cries, “At this rate the only way I get into heaven is by the grace of God!”

HEY SEE YOUR GLORY, BUT THEY DON’T KNOW YOUR STORY

I

THEY SEE YOUR GLORY, BUT THEY DON’T KNOW YOUR STORY

In the history of the universe, there has been only one perfect person. He remained single all his life and died young.

The rest of us are imperfect creatures, deeply flawed, struggling to find our way through the complex maze of relationships and choices we encounter. We make mistakes, we learn and grow, we adapt and move on. Some of us do our learning at an early age, growing by trial and error. Some of us make our discoveries much later in life, almost by chance it seems. Many of us are somewhere in between the Have you experienced those moments when youwe “middle ages”, wondering why aren’t smarter or more successful or somehow felt helpless and hopeless, those moments,.. better at all of this. Our stories are all different.

What is your story? Who is writing your story? Who is telling your story? How is the story you find yourself in? Whatever your story is, can you imagine it getting better? God can. I am not trying to minimize the challenges in life we are all facing. They may be serious, complex and tenacious. Sometimes, it looks like as you begin to address one issue, then other issues seem to emerge. You feel like a boxer in the late rounds, taking blows from every side, just trying to stay on your feet until the bell rings so you can get some rest. God knows about all that. If you have experienced failure, sickness, death of a loved one, an abandonment, separation, fear, rejection, trials and temptations, if there are dark chapters in your life, God knows. He sees them all. Somewhere in the midst of your darkness, a tiny light is glowing, maybe just a candle in the wind, but the light is there. When you see that light because it will eventually come, don’t ignore it. It may be flickering and distant, but embrace it and appreciate the hope it brings. The purpose of that light is to draw you onward toward safer places, greater heights, better relationships, times of healing, new beginnings, seasons of hope. Have you experienced those moments when you felt helpless and hopeless, those moments, when it seems the world is crashing at your feet? Are you in the middle of a terrible separation, or the incarceration or deportation of a partner? Have you ever experienced loneliness? Have you ever cried yourself to sleep? Have you ever had those “why me” questions? Have you waited on God for that child, husband or that wife? Why is it your lot to take care of a sick one? How many times have you been burdened or betrayed? Do you ever wonder why it is taking so long for that prayer to be answered? When it seems like you have been forgotten, remember His promises to prosper you, to bring you to place of expectancy. Are you troubled about finding a new partner or raising teenage girls in this new age? You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you. Perhaps, you’ve never even been married, all your mates are married and it seems like you are the only single left on the block? Have no fear. When people tell your story in their own version and you cannot speak for yourself, and when people see your glory but don’t know your story and they want to rewrite your story, have no fear. Paul’s reminder is something we need to keep in front of us…maybe stick it on your refrigerator with a magnet or taped to the dashboard of our cars. “God is for good-in all things” is something we need to remember. Let God invade your story with His Grace. Let God rewrite your story. Let Him remove the dark chapters of your life. Let God give you a new story with a happily ever after ending. Let His forgiveness begin to cover all the places where you hurt, where you are angry-even the places where you’ve made mistakes of your own. Let God’s good ideas begin to replace the hopelessness you so often feel. Your story matters, but don’t try to tell it yourself. Let God tell your story for you. Perhaps reading this piece is one of the candles or lights God will use to move your story forward in His good ways. Keep moving toward the light, even when you feel you can’t go on.

When God Directs Your Steps…

M

y wife and I moved to Atlanta two years ago. In our search to find a church to worship, we visited several churches including some big name churches. My wife and I did not feel at home at the churches we visited, so we decided to try a Redeemed church. Upon visiting Kings Court Chapel, the Lord made it clear that he wanted to plant us there. (Proverbs 3 vs. 6). When God paths your steps, there is no way you will not reap and be glad to sow in His kingdom. Our journey with KCC has been splendid. Our closest friends are from the church and our spiritual life has blossomed.

For anyone out there who is searching for a place of worship, I have one word to describe the experience that awaits you; “Growth”--- I can guarantee anyone with an open mind and dedicated to the service offerings, you will have a marvelous spiritual awakening! KCC is not a perfect church and don’t think there is any as such. Find me a perfect church and I will say run a thousand miles away. This is a church that is growing with the expected pains of a growing church, but weaving itself to be a basket of love and light for folks looking for pure teaching in family oriented atmosphere. The church will be defined by its young adults in a couple of years, the present generation is simply paving the way for a congregation and the young adults will be the glue between the children, elders and the youth. I am thankful that God by His grace has allowed me to be a part of the weaving process that has divinely connected us together as a church family. I am thankful for God’s blessings in my own family with growth in numbers, spiritually, financially, and emotionally. But above all, I am thankful that Jesus died for us all. Every day, His loving grace is sufficient to getting us through to the next day.

Heading the Pastoral care department was a job God planted for me the very moment I walked in the door at KCC. I have always been a worker in previous churches and I also had a similar role in the church I attended before relocating to Atlanta. I will like to point out that the role and responsibility of providing pastoral care hospitality - Millicent Olaghere Contribution by Ola Adebowale helps balance my day to day corporate work and my personal life with humility.

It was midnight worship. The serenade was so powerful you could feel the tangible presence of Almighty God as a crowd of uncountable worshippers gathered to worship the Holy God. If there was perfection on earth, the music was perfect. The cymbals, drums and acoustics were like ‘made in Heaven’. The building was a modern Cathedral built to seat at least 10,000 people. The Altar was engraved in the center of the edifice. The worship was glorious and the worship leader was Pastor Kunle Akindoju. Soon there was a moment of silence. In that worship grandeur; came Pastor Akindoju’s voice. His voice filled the auditorium causing another moment of silence. However, something was new – the Song. We (the congregation) had never heard it before and as soon as he finished the song; he walked up to me and said, “Write.” Line by line Pastor Akindoju repeated what he had just sung. I don’t remember writing the song with my hands on paper but I soon realized that God had transferred the words of the song into my heart. It was not just the words; God transferred the melody of the song into my heart as well. I started to sing it and all of a sudden the entire auditorium was filled with this song of declaration. I knew for a fact A E M L that God Almighty at that time wanted us to O B know that He alone is God. It was a moment P A of worshipping in truth. God is God alone, A T who is worthy to be worshipped. s s The song brings with it simplicity, tenacity, C G T N sweet melody and above all a sense of O I declaration, a knowing that Jehovah is God. B K The scene was the most beautiful scene I O A have ever seen and I just cannot describe L N A O it with mere words. I became like Apostle y I Peter during the transfiguration of our Lord O N Jesus Christ. I did not want that experience E T to end. The Holy Spirit woke me up all of H I a sudden with that song embedded in my T N I G heart. I sang the song all day and could not T G wait for the dawn of day to share it with my Pastor. I still sing and declare it.

“We declare that You are holy We declare only You are God We declare that You are worthy O Lord, You alone are God.”

continues...THEY SEE YOUR GLORY Keep believing that the days ahead can be brighter and better: even if your progress seems so very slow at times. Keep forgiving everyone around youthey need it-but save a little of that forgiveness for yourself. You may be imperfect and flawed, and you may have made some spectacular mistakes in your life, but if so that only proves one thing; you are human. We know that the only perfect one that ever lived on the surface of this earth is Jesus Christ. It’s about learning and growing and facing new challenges. Yet like learning and growing, the seasons do change. Sometimes, when you least expect it, grace happens. Embrace it! Your crisis can become your asset. Be open to God’s little surprises, like when hope springs up after one of your worst moments. Move on even when you have to crawl. Don’t ignore the light, as distant and dim as it may seem, at first. Somehow in the future, God will wipe every tear from your eyes…Your glory will come, it will surely come, the light will not tarry. And when people see that glory, they’ll want to tell your story. They don’t know your story, but they will try anyway. Only God knows your story. He is the one that has led you from that story to a place of glory. The glory is now His Forgiveness will have to be your song. Praise is what you will owe Him. That is the story you will now live in. Don’t tell your story by yourself. Don’t even attempt to. Let God tell your story, He will be your voice where you have no voice. After all, when you had those moments, trials, and temptations, when it seems impossible for you to believe and you questioned “all things?”, when it seems your faith was shaken, but you still held on to Him, you saw it all. Seasons do change, when your new season arrives, embrace it. Your spring may come with a lot of rainfall, when your expectation is for the flowers to come out in full bloom at once. Your garden may be filled with more tulips than daisies. God may package your gift differently; you will not know what it’s in it unless you open it. Accept it! Cherish it! He may rewrite your story differently; you will not know what’s in the book unless you read it. Open it and read it gladly, you will then discover He has added a happily ever after ending to your story. Accept that blessing and be grateful. God will place you in a new realm. Your glory will come, it will surely come. And when that Glory comes, you will sing a new song. Yes, a new song. Sing it out loud. Very, very loud! People will see your glory; God has given you a new story! As Paul put it in Romans 8:28, “We know that all things work together for good to those who love God.” That is the story you will now live in. Celebrate it! The Lord will satisfy you early with his mercy that you may rejoice and be glad all your days –Psalm 90: 14. Remain richly blessed and remember to keep on giving! Shalom Sis Ayo’ Fade
