Sights of the Season...
This house at 309 S 14th Street, is always awash with Christmas lights.
Santa and Mrs. Claus enjoy a ride in the Journey of Lights Parade on Dec. 5. Wearing a festive Santa hat, Hot Springs Elementary School third grader Lillian Broyles attaches her handmade ornament to the Christmas Tree at Wind Cave National Park.
Once upon a time... .... it was one day ’till Christmas. There was a little girl named Claire. She loved Christmas, she couldn't wait to open her presents. Her Christmas tree was already put up. She had a great plan. Her plan was when she hears Santa's footsteps she'll go down the stairs and take a peek. She was so excited. Finally it had come to night. Claire heard footsteps on the The two decorated Christmas trees are framed roof. CREAK CREAK CREAK. So she tiptoed and looked by the historic Evans Apartments down stairs and there was Santa putting presents under the tree. She always took a step close to every 30 seconds. Then she fell down the stairs. Santa was frightened. He looked and saw a little girl on the floor and said "Claire, that sneaky little girl always trying to look at me when I put present under the tree." Then he picked her up and went upstairs and found her room. He put her on the floor gently so he could uncover the covers. Then he put her in bed and said, "Merry Christmas Claire my dear and I will try and make your wish come true so you can be my little elf worker." Then he smiled and went back downstairs. He put the last present under the tree and looked at their kitchen table and saw some cookies. He went over there and took a bite. "MMMMMMM" he said "chocolate chip." Then he left on his way to another house. Finally it was Christmas morning. Claire woke up and Inflatable decorations are abundant. yelled "ITS CHRISTMAS MORNING….EVERYONE WAKE UP!!!!!!!! "UHHHH" said her older brother Tristan. "Can you at least let me sleep in this morning?" "No it’s Christmas! Everyone loves Christmas!" so her mom, dad and her brother all went downstairs. They opened all the presents. Claire opened the last one and it said From Santa To Claire. Claire smiled and opened the present it was a elf hat, an elf suit and elf shoes and also a name tag and a note by saying you start tomorrow.
