PRESIDENT REPORT

A fellowship meeting this week as our scheduled guest speaker, our own exchange student Zsofi, was away on school excursion to the Castlemaine Gaol.

fantastic service to Rotary and we look forward to keeping in touch with Alan via his Rotary friends, and hope to see him at a future meeting when he is able.

During today’s fellowship meeting I invited members to contribute to some ideas on one of the Club Goals for 2012/2013 – identifying and starting local Hands on Project. Thank you for the enthusiasm and ideas shared at your tables via the “Roving Mike” – I will be summarising these and will include in the Fossicker in a week or two.

Rotary Business

Members noted on their arrival the Bay Maree sizzling away and the changed format of “serve yourself” appeared to be well received – next time we might try and broaden the choices from just Roast Port and Roast Lamb!. Great job by Nic Bannan with the Sergeants Session – I’m sure that not too many missed out on paying up.

Thank You to President Elect Tom Seddon for standing in last week - I think he is up for it again next week as I’ll be away again in Mildura with work. Messages/We Care

JOINT MEETING - SEPTEMBER 18 with Rotary Club of Bendigo South at All Seasons

Robin de Crespigny ‘The People Smuggler’ author of

- a true story presentation “Villain or Hero” From Penguin: With enormous power and insight, The People Smuggler tells a story of daily heroism, bringing to life the forces that drive so many people to put their lives in unscrupulous hands.
