South West Wales Partnership Year 12 Summer University Monday 14th July - Friday 1st August 2014
A three week residential course aimed at Year 12 students studying for a Level 3 qualification in school or college in South West Wales.
The Reaching Wider Year 12 Summer University is a FREE 3 week residential course (or non residential if appropriate), which takes place Monday to Friday and is aimed at Year 12 students completing the first year of a Level 3 qualification in school or college. Why go?
It’s a great opportunity to try out student life and see if it suits you. It’s completely free of charge and there is even the possibility of your EMA continuing. It looks great on your application when you’re applying to any University in the UK. If you complete the Summer University successfully, you will receive a reduced UCAS points/Grades offer when you apply to Swansea University and/or University of Wales Trinity Saint David (which now includes Swansea Metropolitan University).
PLEASE NOTE: If you are applying for a professional degree programme, the grades/UCAS points reduction may not apply eg (Education, Social Work), as the entry requirements for many professional degree programmes are determined in consultation with external professional bodies. You can only benefit from one scheme offering a reduction in grades/UCAS points. The scheme offering the highest reduction will be applied.
