PUBLISHER'SNOTEMAY2016 Every once in a while someone makes an impression on you. Usually this happens during your formative years, and more rarely (in my case) when you're a grown ass man. This happened to me recently when going back and forth with Dr. Jay Marque about an article I was putting together. He gave me some very descriptive notes about certain facts I was getting wrong, but he did so with very kind words towards my abilities as a writer. I told him he didn't have to worry about hurting my feelings because I was, after all, a grown ass man. His response will stick around in my head forever changing my perspective. He told me via email, "For what it's worth, I don't believe feelings can get hurt......that's just something people say when they don't understand what emotions are and that they can control their moods and actions. Boom." There Dr. Jay goes again, making me a better person. The cover story this issue is about the great Radiology Technicians I had the pleasure of meeting. Spending more time with this group to give them a more in-depth article is going on my list of things to do. Fascinating stuff. The cover art used for this issue was done by Nick Veasey. To view more of his work, please feel free to visit his website (www.nickveasey.com) and download his PDF portfolio. An amazing artist with an extraordinary eye for detail. The art used on the section covers of this issue were provided by Daneisha Davis-Harger. Thank you for submitting, Daneisha. If this issue surpasses our goal of 30,000 digital downloads: it will be because your incredible work brought us there. Exposure Magazine is nothing but a platform for the people it features. That's the only reason people download an issue every month. Thank you for your submission. To see more of Daneisha's work, visit the website www.pixelandinkcreative.com. Buy some maybe? A lot of people have been asking me if Warren Bujol is still the Ediotr-In-Chief of Exposure Magazine, or if he just works at Waitr writing about food stuff. To set the record straight once and for all: Warren Bujol will always and forever be my Editor-In-Chief. He couldn't run away from this gig with a motorcycle and a passport if he wanted to. Dodging this job is like trying to dodge a Sally Mae collection agent. We'll always find you. Back to the story. Warren accepted an offer he couldn't refuse and now works full time as Content Manager at Waitr, hence the funny and informative press releases you've received as a patron. He still oversees all of his duties as Editor-In-Chief here at EM, while also juggling some military stuff and his band, Juxtapose, too. Boring guy, really. I hope you enjoy the May issue of Exposure Magazine. Please feel free to share it with a friend or enemy. If you know of any writers, tell them to contact me. I like to read. A business or non-profit looking to get a little more exposure, drop Exposure Magazine's name in their ear.

I love you all, Calvin Tyler, Publisher Exposure Magazine publisher@readexposure.com

NAMIWalks,ChangingMinds andImprovingLives On May 21, 2016 NAMI Southwest Louisiana will host the14th Annual NAMI Walk at 7:00AM at the Lake Charles Amphitheatre. The funds from the event support NAMI SWLA?s mission of providing education, advocacy, and support to those affected by mental illness. Last year this local chapter aided over 2000 families who participated in the education programs and received mental health resources. ?We are excited about this year?s event. Our 2016 goal is to raise $75,000 to sustain services that we provide for free to local residents. More than ever we need support from local businesses to sponsor the event and community members to register as Team Captains or as individual walkers and begin raising awareness and funds.? -said Anastasia A. Armstrong, M.A., Executive Director. The Walk will be held rain or shine. This event provides an opportunity for everyone to show their commitment to ending the stigma associated with mental illness and the day will include family-friendly entertainment. Over 500 residents of Southwest Louisiana will take action together with thousands across the country on May 21, 2016 in the largest mental health campaign in the area. for the Mind of America will ?friend and fund raise? according to Jessica Weaver, Program?s Director of the SWLA affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI). Old and young, rich and poor, the common goal is to make America a better home for people with brain disorders through education on mental illnesses and improved system-wide treatment opportunities. ?My son has a serious mental illness and this is one of the main reasons why I am walking for NAMI. My son was diagnosed at age 12, but unfortunately we didn?t know about NAMI until years later. Once I was connected to NAMI SWLA I was able to take their Family to Family Course and join a support group. When my son had his first major breakdown, it was the knowledge I gained from Family to Family, attending Monthly Support Group meetings, and the wonderful friends I have made at NAMI that carried us through. I am walking to help at least one person who is in a similar situation than I was in before I found out about NAMI,? said NAMI Member and Volunteer. NAMIWalks in Southwest Louisiana is sponsored in part by many national and local businesses. There will be activities for the whole family at the event. To participate in the WALK as a walker or sponsor, contact NAMI SWLA office at (337) 433-0219 or visit SWLA NAMIWalks on the web at www.namiswla.org

CRYERNAMEDASHEADCOACHOF COWGIRLSBASKETBALL By Duane Bergeron

In college coaching, just like in any other sports program at any level, changes come and go. McNeese State University is no exception. Not long after the end of the remarkable 2015 football season, former head coach Matt Viator stepped down to take the head coaching position at the University of Louisiana at Monroe. He was replaced by longtime assistant and defensive coordinator Lance Guidry. A few weeks ago, Cowgirls head basketball coach Brooks Donald Williams did the same in order to take an assistant position at the University of Alabama. About 24 hours later, Athletic Director Bruce Hemphill named assistant coach Kacie Cryer as her successor. Cryer was a longtime assistant for Williams and among her other duties handled recruiting for the Cowgirls. From a McNeeese Sports Information Department press release, Hemphill said: " Kacie is known as a rising star among assistant coaches and she has a passion for women's college athletics. She has the unique perspective of being a collegiate student-athlete and a Division 1 assistant coach. Cryer is an excellent recruiter and was instrumental in bringing in all of next year's team and next season's incoming freshmen class to McNeese." Hemphill added: "Cryer cares deeply for her players' welfare as athletes and students and I know she will carry on the tradition of community and university service begun by Williams that has become a trademark of Cowgirl basketball. She has a tremendous work ethic and the tenacity to quickly make this team her own." A native of Abbeville, Cryer began her coaching career at McNeese in 2008 as a graduate assistant. The previous five years was also spent as recruiting coordinator. Her efforts has resulted in the Cowgirls winning 103 games. That is an average of 20 a season. After a year off, Cryer returned in the 2011-12 season and helped bring the team to their second Southland Conference Tournament championship and NCAA tournament appearance. One season afterwards the Cowgirls began their streak of four straight participations in the Women's Basektball Invitational tournament. They played in the 2013 championship round. As a

player, Cryer spent her collegiate career at LSU-Shreveport from 2004-08 where she earned her bachelor's degree in general studies and a master's from McNeese in 2012. Having played high school ball at Teurlings Catholic, she was a member of the 2002 state championship team and was selected to the first team all-district and all-parish teams. Cryer has local connections in sports since her father is head football coach Charlie Cryer for St. Louis Catholic High School and her brother Chris is an assistant football coach at St. Louis. Another brother, Cody, is a former member of the McNeese men's golf team. Williams is leaving as the most successful head coach in the history of Cowgirls basketball. These were her comments on Cryer taking over the program. "What a great hire for McNeese," she said. "Kacie has been an integral part of the success and tradition of Cowgirl basketball. I have witnessed her work ethic and commitment to the student-athletes. This is not just a job for Kacie. She lives it and that has become rare and special in our profession. I am so thrilled to pass the torch to someone I know will work passionately and tirelessly to not only keep and honor the tradition, but raise it to whole new level." The new head coach made this statement after being named to succeed Williams. "First, I want to thank Dr. Phillip Williams (McNeese president), Mr. Hemphill, and (assistant athletic director) Bridget Martin for believing in me and giving me the opportunity to be the Cowgirls head coach," said Cryer. "I am honored, blessed and excited to have this chance to continue the success of this established program that I have been associated with for seven years. Coach Williams has done a tremendous job at McNeese and I plan on continuing the success sha has already put in place. I will work extremely hard to get this program to a higher level." The Cowgirls 2016-17 season with Cryer as the new head basketball coach will commence in early to mid-November.

SOMETIMES 1ISALLYOUNEED It?s just after 5 A.M. and I?m really questioning why I am doing what I am doing-now that I?m too far from home to turn back, I might as well swipe my gym membership card and pay my penance for last night?s meal consisting of crawfish etoufee and fried fish. As I walk through the front doors, I can tell immediately that spin class is in full effect. Flo Rida?s Good Feeling is jamming at club-like decibels while the maniacal instructor dares the class to sit down during an uphill ascent. As I settle into my comfortable pace on the treadmill I stare at the spin class that is sectioned off from the rest of the gym. The lights are so dim (I?m told bright lights make the room hotter.) that if it weren?t for the music and instructor you?d think the room was empty. The instructor?s commands continue to wail track after musical track with urges to ?Push through the pain!? and ?You?ve got to earn it!? As the commands roll off the instructor?s tongue, I can?t help but feel sorry for those unfortunate participating souls who will be crawling to bed tonight. The treadmill I?m on is one of my favorites because I have the unique vantage point of seeing the drained, contorted faces of those leaving the class. When the class ended and the doors swung open, the instructor stepped out and politely smiled at me (I know it was one of those "are you man enough to show up for my classes" kind of smiles). I courteously smile back, wanting her to get out of the way so I could see the volunteers file one by one out of the room, but to my dismay, the room was empty. As it turned out, no one showed up for the class, yet the instructor ran the class as if it were full. There are going to be times in your life as well as your career when no one will show up to help you achieve your goal- you will have to scratch, fight, and claw to an audience of one. It is at these intersections of life that you can either choose to turn back to a life of mediocrity simply because no one is watching or you can instead elect to push forward as if everyone is depending on you. When you are willing to risk putting your feet in life?s clips and ride, assertively commanding yourself to stand when you feel like sitting, push when you feel like coasting, grunt when you feel like crying, and finish when you feel like quitting, that your loneliest, darkest moments will soon become the dawns of newer, brighter beginnings.

By Marsh Buice

Don?t dismount-keep pedaling and don?t ever turn back; show up and do the work because everyone is counting on you. Everyone begins with YOU. I?ll see you next time on the blacktop.

MAGNOLIALNGRECEIVESFERCORDER Magnolia LNG, LLC is pleased to advise that it has received the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) authorization (FERC Order) to site, construct, and operate facilities to liquefy and export domestically produced natural gas from its liquefied natural gas (LNG)terminal in the Lake Charles District, State of Louisiana, USA. In addition, the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality (LDEQ) approved the air permit for the Magnolia LNG. In a related matter, FERC also authorized the Kinder Morgan Louisiana Pipeline LLC (KMLP Pipeline) to install compression and other related facilities on the KMLP Pipeline, facilitating the transportation of full feed gas volumes to the Magnolia LNG project. LNGL Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Greg Vesey said, ?We are pleased to receive the FERC Order and the air permit from LDEQ. Both of these items are important milestones as we progress the Magnolia LNG project towards a final investment decision. We look forward to the US Department of Energy (DOE) processing Magnolia LNG?s pending application to export LNG to countries that do not have a free trade agreement (FTA)with the United States.? Magnolia LNG proposes to construct and operate up to four liquefaction production trains, each

with a capacity of 2 mtpa or greater using the Company?s OSMR速 patented LNG process technology. Construction and operation shall include two 160,000m3 full containment storage tanks, ship, barge and truck loading facilities, and supporting infrastructure. As previously announced, construction of the facility will be by the KBR-SKE&C joint venture (KSJV) under a lump sum turnkey EPC contract. ?Our primary focus remains to complete marketing of Magnolia LNG?s offtake capacity, finalize financing arrangements, and progress towards construction? stated Mr Vesey. About Liquefied Natural Gas Limited Liquefied Natural Gas Limited is an Australian listed company (Code: LNG and OTC ADR: LNGLY) focused on development of mid-scale LNG plants. LNGL?s business strategy aims to deliver lower capital and operating costs, faster construction timelines and improved efficiency, relative to larger traditional LNG projects. LNGL?s portfolio includes Magnolia LNG LLC, an 8 mtpa project in Lake Charles, Louisiana; Bear Head LNG Corporation, an up to 12 mtpa project on the Strait of Canso in Point Tupper, Nova Scotia; Gladstone LNG Pty Ltd, which is progressing the 3.8 mtpa Fisherman?s Landing LNG project at the Port of Gladstone in Queensland, Australia; and LNG Technology Pty Ltd, which owns

and develops the OSMR速 LNG liquefaction process.

Ab out t he M agnol ia LNG Proj ect The Magnolia LNG project is 100% owned by Magnolia LNG LLC, which is a wholly owned subsidiary company of Liquefied Natural Gas Limited. The project comprises the proposed development of an 8-mtpa LNG project on a 115-acre site, located on an established LNG shipping channel in the Lake Charles District, State of Louisiana, United States of America. The project is based on the development of four LNG production trains of 2 mtpa each using the Company?s wholly owned OSMR速 LNG process technology. Magnolia LNG?s business model provides liquefaction services to LNG buyers who pay a monthly fixed capacity fee, plus all LNG plant operating and maintenance costs. LNG buyers contract for liquefaction services under two contract models ? a Liquefaction Tolling Agreement, whereby the LNG export terminal is only responsible for processing natural gas into LNG, and an LNG Sales and Purchase Agreement under which the customer buys LNG on a free on board basis (FOB).

BIRDSANDBEES, OPTIMIZEDHRTPLEASE!

FORTHEGUYS By Dr. Henry Goolsby

So, spring break is winding down and I am still under the creative literary restrictions that my wonderful wife, LeNae, requested I abide by, related to certain tales of adventure of yore. That said, I would be remissed if I didn't utilize some stories related to an old school buddy of mine who was always displaying, over the years, a number of personality traits, let's say, that may exemplify the pathology of the strained male endocrine axis. One of the things my buddy Blane (name changed to protect the not so innocent) was never very good at was introspection. A series of relationship challenges, and then ultimate success after years of searching, demonstrate the classic effects of our dominant manly hormone testosterone. Yes, Big T and its androgenic derivatives are responsible for a number of important life-affirming and prolonging activities. It is the dominant support player for our behavior and a number of other critical physiologic functions, but seemingly only if it remains in the appropriate range of optimal concentrations. Those concentrations are both absolute and relative to other hormone derivatives. I mean really, why does the woman of your life pull away (i.e., not want to have sex with you, or just decline your affection)? The first thing Blane would usually say to me was, "Ah, Trip, she's just hormonal." Okay, let's think about that for a minute and what reality comes to mind? The fact is, that men are also predisposed to hormonal impositions creating variations in mood, as is the fairer sex. Why is this so? A little trivia first; what organ in the male body has the most receptors for testosterone? Well, just so I don't give the response too rapidly, and you are allowed to ponder, the second highest concentration of T receptors is found in the brain. It is here that we note the symptomatology of testosterone deficiency manifests itself first and foremost. Even mild variations of testosterone concentrations may have dramatic symptomatic effects, even if the level remains in the "normal" ranges. Of course, testosterone is not the only player in our different moods, but the combination of T with its metabolites estradiol and dihydrotestosterone as well as androstenol, androstenediol and dehydroepiandrosterone have been shown to create imbalances of multiple neurotransmitters (dopamine, serotonin, acetylcholine, GABA,

THERAD-ESTJOBINTOWN By Calvin Tyler Photography by Nick Veasy

Not really a big deal or anything, but me and Dr. Jay Marque are friends now. We text and hang out. I was super busy last week doing all types of magazine stuff when he texted me, ?What?s up, bro? Wanna grab some lunch?? I was like, ?Things are crazy with work right now,? and he was like, ?Yeah, I?m sure lives are on the line.? I appreciate sarcastic doctor jokes more than most, which is why I suspect we?re such great friends. Again...no big deal. We meet up at MacFarlane?s Celtic Pub for a quick lunch to catch up on what?s been going on; Me: About my exciting job as a publisher; Him: How being a doctor is so cool. In the middle of all of this wit he suddenly stops everything by holding his hand up and semi-yelling, ?WHOA!? My eyes widen in anticipation. He continues with how he remembered wanting to tell me about an awesome article idea he had while out for a run. That?s when I heard what sounded like the most fun job in the world. A Rad-Tech! GOOGLE SAYS: Radiologic technologists specialize in x-ray and computed tomography (CT) imaging.Radiologic technologists, also known as radiographers, perform diagnostic imaging examinations, such as x rays, on patients. Dr. Jay starts telling me how awesome his team of Rad-Techs are and what they do for the patients, and then, without warning, he goes quiet again and sits back. ?You should meet them tonight,? he says. I explain how me and the lovely Megan might have plans, to which he responded with an unimpressed smirk. At that exact moment my phone rings. It was Megan calling to see if we had plans for the evening. Dr. Jay rapidly snaps his fingers to signal that I relinquish my cell over to him, so, of course, I do. Long story short: We now had plans to meet the Rad-Techs between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. at Cousins. We arrive to Cousins to find that everyone there is dressed to the nines. The entire LCUC team is enjoying pre

wedding appetizers, as one of the family will be married soon. Dr. Jay notices Megan and I as we casually strolled up towards the table. He greets us and shows us where to sit, gathers all of the Rad-Techs, introduces me as a writer there to interview them, then walks back over to his chair with one of the biggest grins. What most don?t know is that Dr. Jay has one of the greatest senses of humor. Imagine going to a pre celebration with your boss, and everything?s going great, then he seats a writer next to you for an impromptu interview. Hilarious. As always, at first the subjects were a little cold, distant, and uncomfortable. This is to be expected. Everyone is nervous at first. It?s not until they realize that I am not an uber professional writer with pre written notes and thought out questions that people loosen up and the conversation begins. Rad to my left: Alex Cantu. Rad-Tech. Seventeen year veteran of St. Pat?s who left the hospital system in favor of LCUC. At my 12: Stephanie Willis. Rad-Tech. Ten year veteran of St. Pat?s who approached LCUC during the earliest days of its infancy. To my slight right: Stephanie Spano. Rad-Tech. Seven year veteran of St. Pat?s with a need for speed, opting for the excitement LCUC was offering. Just about all of my in-laws are in the medical field, and I love hearing them talk about their war stories. Especially during Thanksgiving lunch. I was in heaven hearing what a typical day as a Rad-Tech entailed. The things they see are, just as their profession suggests, just beneath the surface. I?m, for obvious reasons, not going to go into any of these tales told to me in confidence. But, what I will tell you is the two-plus-two I was able to put together. All of these Rad-Techs left the hospital to work for Dr. Jay in the field of Urgent Care. I wanted to know why, so I, being the semi-journalist that I am, asked.

NICKVEASEY Nick?s work with radiographic imaging equipment takes the x-ray to another level. Everyday objects are transformed from the banal to the beguiling and the layers and make-up of natural items are shown in fantastic detail. His works are a classic example of the fusion between art and science. The results transcend classification as photographs, having the gravitas to motivate science institutions and art galleries to acquire the artworks. STARWARS:APERSONALPERSPECTIVE By Duane Bergeron

Thanks to Star Wars: The Force Awakens, the franchise is in vogue again. It would also seem to be in better condition than ever before. After its December 2015 release, the film pulled in a mind-boggling $935 million domestic gross and over $2 billion worldwide. Avatar (2009), is still the biggest moneymaker on the worldwide film charts. The Force Awakens is king of the hill in North America. There have been so many Star Wars stories in the media over the years it is hard to come up with anything that has not been chronicled already. In the wake of The Force Awakens' success, I wanted to make comments on that and the phenomenon George Lucas started in 1977. It is hard to believe the franchise began 40 years ago in 2017. So, I decided on this angle. And that is to write about my own experiences with Star Wars locally and what an impact it made on my life and others in this corner of our own galaxy. Though cliche', it all began in May 1977 when a little-known science fiction movie made its debut at the Lyric Theater on Broad Street. Since having been demolished years ago, the Lyric was located near the old Lakeside Bank building, which is now a branch of Wendy's present day. The Lyric, being a single screen theater, was in decent condition when I watched movies there. It's biggest drawback was the size of the screen and the building. It was clean and kept up decently but smaller than its counterparts, the Pitt and Paramount, of which all three theaters were in close proximity to each other in the downtown area of Lake Charles. So, the settings were adequate for what later became a monumental event in the Lake Area. In the beginning. Star Wars was not packing them in so to speak at the Lyric. However, that changed quickly. Once word-of-mouth started to spread the number of people showing up increased. Nationwide, the film opened on May 25th. There was hardly any

publicity surrounding its commencement locally. A week later, thanks to the aforementioned word-of-mouth, people were starting to flock to the theater. The word spread like wildfire here and elsewhere that Lucas, whose reputation at the time was only connected to American Graffiti, had done something amazing. Star Wars, a science fiction movie, was making a powerful impression. This was history unto itself. Before that time, no science fiction feature was grabbing headlines and packing first-run theaters like now. The very idea a production in this genre could make such a huge impact was unheard of. The reasons were obvious. No one had seen a motion picture with such incredibly realistic special effects along with a storyline that packed such a punch. Yes, there had been other movies in which the story centered on a fight for justice and peace against a totalitarian regime. But, it never happened before on such a galactic scale. Add to it the array of likable and three dimensional characters and the results were obvious. In addition to more local residents coming to the Lyric to see what the shouting was all about, immediately afterwards the lines started to form. The Lyric, by the start of June 1977, was having one sellout feature after another. For those who are familiar with the layout in that section of Broad Street, it is easy to see why that caused logistical problems. The theater had very limited parking. Some had to park at the Civic Center and walk the distance. Because of my longtime interest in science fiction, I had seen Star Wars in its first week. I was able to avoid the long lines. I personally was blown away the first time I viewed it. Darth Vader was an imposing presence on the screen and then some. I did watch it again like so many others in that era. And that is when I had to deal with the lines. In most cases the lines extended east from the Lyric. Sometimes going as far to the Mary Ann's Cafe building. Traffic had to be more cautious with so many people lining the sidewalk. It is unheard of now, but in its

THEPROPOSAL By Joshua Holton

He'd expected this. He'd even sought after it. However, despite everything he felt a twinge of ? compassion. She'd been held up. Once more. Here she sat, alone in an upscale eatery, wearing her most loved minimal dark dress. Ryan watched her appearance in a mirror and saw the murmur that blasted out of Sarah's mouth and unsettled her hair as she sat back in her seat, shutting her eyes.

just as of late ? he trusted ? she'd seen him as simply a troublesome enormous sibling, he'd never thought of her as a sister. Ryan's issue was that each time he'd attempted to advise her how he groped he'd grime it, the outcome being she'd never trusted him. He came to down and began to haul her seat out from the table, the muscles of his arm flexing.

The time had come to make his turn. Before she got to be mindful of his nearness behind her, he measured the back of her neck, his thumb stroking her simply under her cleared out ear. He felt her heartbeat jump, saw a grin burst over her face as she swung to think back behind her. Ryan ventured up close to her and looked as her grin kicked the bucket.

She didn't astound him. Consistent with structure, Sarah was unshakable and attempted to delve her feet in, however after a brief battle she more likely than not understood it was pointless. With a murmur, she let him help her up and tailed him out of the eatery. They strolled for a square without talking, however he had no issue understanding her considerations. She had an expressive face and he'd been interpreting it for a considerable length of time.

Yanking herself far from his touch, she grimaced at him. "What're you doing here?"

A little while later he was opening the traveler entryway of his auto. "Gone ahead. Get in."

Ryan just gave her a tolerant look. At that point, snapping his head, he said, "Go ahead. We should go."

She pulled far from him, then transformed and lifted her head and investigated his eyes, still not saying

anything.

He looked at the two unfilled water bottles sitting before her and hauled a bill out of his wallet to leave on the table. At that point he remained there for a minute, looking at the highest point of her head, his psyche juggling the standard hit her or kiss her level headed discussion. Under his breath, he said, "Yes, you do. What's more, this time I'm going to do it right." In somehow he'd been safeguarding her since they were children, and she'd generally detested it. Whether as a pre-pubescent boyish girl or the swan she'd advanced into, she'd been jumping carelessly into calamities and he'd been reeling her out. What's more, however until

Ryan felt his lips jerk. "What? Still distraught at me?" She settled her run once again into the side of his auto and shook her head, a miserable look all over. "I'm not distraught at you. I'm distraught at Imprint. Frantic at myself ? or if nothing else disturbed with myself." His heart gripped as tears moved down her face. "What's the matter with me, Ryan? Why is it so hard for me to discover somebody who will think about me sometimes, rather than considering just himself? Somebody who can recollect which night of the week is my night, and which night is the night with the folks."

In a beginning, the Divine became aware of its awesome

majesty and wonder and completeness and order; and the divine shuddered at what it perceived.

In shuddering it broke off parts (pieces) of itself; some pieces coalesced into the primordial matter/ energy that gave rise to the Big Bang.

Some pieces remained separate as spiritual energy in the form of souls.

Creation, the birth of the cosmos began.

Because the Divine had order in its completeness, the cosmos

has order, but because it is not complete it also has disorder.

And since the Divine is no longer complete it cannot correct or remove the disorder of the cosmos. Thus, galaxies collide, comets smash into planets and cause the extinction of life-forms, senseless accidents and events happen.

Unfortunately, the now incomplete Divine does not know it is incomplete. It believes it is omniscient, knowing all there is to know, but it has only the knowledge held in what remains of its original completeness.

The rest of its knowledge is scattered throughout the cosmos.

The goal of the souls, those pieces of spiritual energy, is to accumulate the knowledge of the material universe, adding it to the knowledge they have but do not remember and then to rejoin the Divine to make it complete once again.

Whether this takes place through a single lifetime or multiple lifetimes depends on how much knowledge the soul can accumulate.

As each soul rejoins the Divine, its knowledge grows, as does its awareness of its true self.

When all souls have rejoined the Divine, it will reabsorb the material cosmos and once again become aware of is awesome majesty and wonder and completeness and order,

and once again it will shudder.
