Editor in Chief SHARON COOPER
There’s nothing that makes my heart sing more than immersing myself in natures natural beauty that surrounds us. In the hustle of today’s busy world I always manage to find a moment and peruse the exquisite charm that nature gives us. And not only does it give beauty but it also educates... giving subtle (and sometimes not so subtle) hints on how its health is fairing. Our bees are dying at an alarming rate, take the time to read our article (Page 8) it will open your eyes to the importance of bees for all of us.
After spending twenty years at Forest Blooms production nursery growing flowering garden species enmass, I thought it was high time to share what we grow and how we grow it. Taking a rather big but very tentative step to research, create, massage and produce a magazine that will not only educate, but inspire you, our reader to turn each page and find the personality within. We are very excited to have Matt Moran as a contributor sharing his thoughts on paddock to plate, something he is passionate about. Also in this issue is the team behind those splendid gardens at Flemington Racecourse. Have you ever wondered how they have their blooms, blooming to perfection for Australia’s Horserace of the Year?. Turn to page 18 to find out! Other great info included in this issue is... Colour to bring contemporary life to your home Tips for Spring As you can see our magazine is filled with information to bring awareness of our environment as well as the beauty of nature. The benefits of our contribution to our community and ourselves today will make a better tomorrow. Our goal here at Blooms Magazine is to support you on your journey of understanding more of natures personality and that the word ‘Blooms’ encourages a little growth within ourselves as well. Thanks for taking reading!
