For the Winter 14-15 range, we have given a fresh look to the Rip Curl Mountainwear, with a point of difference, while at the same time keeping the unique ‘Rip Curl’ identity that we have built up over the last 26 years. Drawing on our heritage, some of the influences we have used in the design include technology and innovation, yardages for fun and irreverence, and our history of using the Search philosophy in the snow industry.

YARDAGES Rip Curl has built a credibility of incorporating the most innovative selection of yardage prints in the garments, an important element in matching our brand values of fun and irreverence. This is a point of strength for Rip Curl, and it is what the customer expects from us. Therefore we have combined the best of the surfwear yardages with current snow trend yardages, to give the finest offer of yardage prints in the Mountainwear.

SEARCH Rip Curl has had an unique and colourful heritage in the snow industry. A big part of the Rip Curl heritage has been the Search to make products with new innovations and technology, and adapted to the current trends. Today Rip Curl continues to make ‘Products of the Search’, and the Winter 14-15 range gives a snapshot of our history of the Search, by reintroducing poppy fluoro colours, vintage rainbow logo, colour blocking…, without compromising the current trends.

U LTI M ATE DRYI NG TECH NOL OGY What is 37.5 ? The Ultimate Breathable Technology for increased comfort and performance. 37.5 technology is a 100% natural performance technology which uses millions of microporous particles. These particles can be spun into a fiber then knit into a fabric, for use in Mid and Base Layer Garments. The particles can also be inserted into the membrane, for use in outer layer garments. Because the technology is contained within the fibers, it will not wash out. Why 37.5 ? 37.5 degrees is the ideal core body temperature for comfort and performance. 37.5% is the optimum relative humidity in the body’s microclimate for comfort and performance. The ultimate thermo regulating system to maintain 37.5 is the skin. It uses the mechanism of sweating to cool the body during exercise. If the sweat can’t evaporate, the body overheats, and performance and comfort decreases. 37.5 technology works with the skin to allow the water vapor to pass through and evaporate, maximizing comfort and performance. How ? 37.5 active particles inserted into the fabric increase the surface area of the fabric by up to 800%, to speed up evaporative cooling. The particles have been tested by industry standards and shown to dry up to 5 times faster than similar fabrics. We now have 37.5 technology incorporated into all of our fabric layers – adding it to the padding and the lining, (keeping it in all other layers as per last year), and being the first on the market to use this technology so extensively. We have created a total layering system that works together to maximize evaporative cooling, and keep the riders warm and dry.

This is the outer layer made from stretch woven fabrics laminated with covered microporous particles. This process increases the evaporating surface to considerably maximise breathability rating (40,000), without compromising the waterproofness (20,000). Benefits: Protects from the elements and regulates body temperature in order to enhance comfort.

Ultimate 37.5 membrane (20K/40K) : • Tested and approved by SGS LABORATORY • The waterproof rating is measured by putting a tube, which Is 1 inch in diameter, over the fabric and measuring how much water can be put in the tube before the water starts to soak through. For example, for 37.5 membrane with a 20K waterproofness, the tube can be filled to a height of 20,000mm before the water will soak through. The higher the rating, the more waterproof the fabric. • The breathability rating is a measure of how many grams of water vapour can pass from inside to outside of a square meter of fabric within a 24 hour period. 37.5 fabric, with a breathability of 40K, can evaporate 40 litres of water vapour per square meter in a 24 hour period. • Full lamination: the PU membrane film is fully glued to the fabric for more consistency, to improve performance, and give durability with a soft hand feel.

Ultimate waterproof DWR treatment : • DWR stands for Durable Water Repellent. It is a spray that is applied to the face (outer) fabric to stop water soaking into the fabric. The DWR is the first barrier to stop the water particles. This treatment is useful in the snow industry as it allows for the garments to be washed without damaging the waterproofness. • For more durability and protection, our Ultimate products use the best standard of DWR on the market DWR+, which allows 20 washes. RT Fortress laminated membrane (20K/20K) : • Tested and approved by SGS LABORATORY The waterproof rating is measured by putting a tube, which Is 1 inch in diameter, over the fabric and measuring how much water can be put in the tube before the water starts to soak through. For example, for RT Fortress Core Membrane with a 20K waterproofness, the tube can be filled to a height of 20,000mm before the water will soak through. The higher the rating, the more waterproof the fabric. • The breathability rating is a measure of how many grams of water vapour can pass from inside to outside of a square meter of fabric within a 24 hour period. RT Fortress Core Membrane, with a breathability of 20K, can evaporate 20 litres of water vapour per square meter in a 24 hour period. • Full lamination: the PU membrane film is fully glued to the fabric for more consistency, to improve performance, and give durability with a soft hand feel.

Core waterproof DWR treatment : • DWR stands for Durable Water Repellent. It is a spray that is applied to the face (outer) fabric to stop water soaking into the fabric. The DWR is the first barrier to stop the water particles. This treatment is useful in the snow industry as it allows for the garments to be washed without damaging the waterproofness. • For more durability and protection, our Core products use the best standard of DWR on the market DWR+, which allows 20 washes.

RT Fortress laminated membrane (10K/10K): • Tested and approved by SGS LABORATORY • The waterproof rating is measured by putting a tube, which Is 1 inch in diameter, over the fabric and measuring how much water can be put in the tube before the water starts to soak through. For example, RT Fortress Rider Membrane with a 10K waterproofness, the tube can be filled to a height of 10,000mm before the water will soak through. The higher the rating, the more waterproof the fabric. • The breathability rating is a measure of how many grams of water vapour can pass from inside to outside of a square meter of fabric within a 24 hour period. RT Fortress Rider Membrane, with a breathability of 10K, can evaporate 10 litres of water vapour per square meter in a 24 hour period • Dot lamination: the PU membrane film is partially glued (every 0.5 mm) to the fabric.

Rider waterproof DWR treatment: • DWR stands for Durable Water Repellent. It is a spray that is applied to the face (outer) fabric to stop water soaking into the fabric. The DWR is the first barrier to stop the water particles. This treatment is useful in the snow industry as it allows for the garments to be washed without damaging the waterproofness. • DWR rider treatment allows for 10 washes.

GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS OF SALE applicable as of November 2013 1-General provision These General Terms & Conditions of Sale («the Terms & Conditions») apply to each and every order for merchandise placed by a customer («the Buyer») and accepted by RIP CURL Europe SAS («the Seller»). No other conditions or clauses submitted by the Buyer shall apply to the order, unless with the express written agreement of the Seller. Every order issued implies that the Buyer unreservedly accepts these Terms & Conditions. 2-Orders The Seller differentiates between two types of order: pre-season orders and restocking orders (hereafter jointly referred to by the term «Order»). All orders must be drawn up on our order form and signed by the Buyer. Orders will only be accepted once an order confirmation has been issued summing up notably product quantities and designation, delivery and invoice address, price and payment conditions, as well as the scheduled delivery periods. No orders may be canceled by the Buyer once they have been accepted by the Seller, unless with the express written agreement of the Seller. This agreement is then subject to the Buyer compensating the Seller in full for any losses (including any financial losses, mainly the total amount of the Order), damages, fees and any other expenses incurred due to the cancellation by the Buyer. 3-Delivery By delivery, we mean the handing over of the merchandise - to the Buyer - at the address indicated on the order form and the order confirmation form. Delivery dates are only given as an indication knowing that these dates are reasonable delivery times taking our delivery commitments into consideration. We reserve the right to deliver the remaining goods of the order within 4 weeks from the week initially indicated on the order form. We reserve the right to choose the carrier unless we receive a specific request from our customer and which is confirmed on the order confirmation. 4-Dispute Should damage occur during the transportation, and we have not delivered the goods, it is the receiving party’s responsibility to bring action against the carrier in accordance with articles L133-1 et seq. of the French Code of commerce. Should there be a dispute on the arrival of the goods, it is absolutely necessary for the merchandise to be inspected in the presence of the driver and «open box» (damaged, re-taped)» must be indicated on the delivery slip . The customer must advise the carrier by registered letter with acknowledgment of receipt within 3 days after the delivery date (holidays not included) specifying the missing goods. The Buyer must also notify us by registered letter with acknowledgment of receipt us within 24 hours after receiving the goods if any goods are missing according to the delivery form independent of any damage. We will then proceed with a verification. Should we deliver the goods ourselves, complaints must be filed at the time of delivery. 5-WarrantY Complaints concerning the quality of the goods, except for any transportation disputes, must be filed immediately upon delivery or when withdrawing the goods on our premises if there is a visible defect and within 8 days of the said delivery or withdrawal if there is a defect which is not immediately visible. In such cases, the Buyer must then return the goods for verification once it has received approval by our department for a return form. Without this return form, we will refuse to accept the goods even if delivered on site, they will be immediately returned to the sender at their expense. Receipt of these goods by our Company does not imply acknowledgment of the defects indicated by the Buyer, these goods will undergo a verification and we will then determine if the defects actually exist. If we acknowledge these defects, our warranty will be limited to the replacement of the goods and we will not be liable for any other loss or damage sustained by the Buyer. Under no circumstances will we be liable beyond the responsibility of our own suppliers. 6-Price and billing Any change, either in rate or in the nature of the fiscal taxes applicable to our sales will be enforced, from their legal date of application having repercussions on the prices that we give to our Buyers and also for current orders. The unit price before tax invoiced for each of our goods will be the one on our price lists, keeping in mind that we reserve the right to change our prices at any moment without prior notice. 7-Payment Payments are to be made to SAS RIP CURL Europe, 407 Avenue de la Tuilerie, 40150 HOSSEGOR, France. Invoices are to be paid within 60 days of the date indicated on the invoice. Cash payments, which must occur within 10 days of the date indicated on the invoice, give rise to a 2.5% discount. Repairs as well as custom-made wetsuits will be sent by cash on delivery (unless under warranty). All pre-season orders over €2500 exc. tax will be sent postage paid. All pre-season orders below €2500 exc. tax will be sent carriage forward and cash on delivery. . All restocking orders over €300 exc. tax will be sent postage paid. All restocking orders below €300 exc. tax will be sent carriage forward and cash on delivery. In the case of any late payment, the postage paid will become carriage forward and the discount refused. To refuse a bill of exchange or the non-payment of a bill at its payment date will immediately allow us to claim complete payment without prior notice. Such refusal or failure to pay, automatically cancels all current deals and orders and will free us from our obligations. Late payment fees shall be applied at 3 times the legal interest rate in the event of late payment of all amounts due at the repayment date, as well as a lump sum of €40 as per the conditions of articles L441-6 and D441-5 of the French Code of Commerce (law No. 2012-387 dated 22/03/2012). In addition, any incident or late payment may also lead to the payment of a lump sum of €100 exc. tax as a penalty clause in accordance with articles 1152 and 1226 of the French Civil Code. If, for a previous Order, the Buyer breached one of their obligations (non-payment or late payment, for example), we may refuse to book a new order, unless this Buyer submits sufficient guarantees or a cash payment. Discounts for cash payment or advanced payment will not be allowed. For a deal before or during the delivery, we reserve the right to claim from the Buyer payment guarantees for the price of the supplies sent or to be sent and to terminate the transaction should the Buyer refuse to produce such evidence. All the payment terms are confirmed in writing by our headquarters and are indicated on our order confirmations. 110

We reserve the right to deliver certain Buyers cash on delivery or once we have received the payment by check confirmed by our bank. We reserve the right to change at any moment the payment terms applied to a Buyer in order to take into account financial information that may be obtained by our departments concerning a Buyer. In the event a Buyer should refuse the change of their payment terms, we will be entitled to cancel any Order yet to be delivered. 8-Retention of title All goods delivered by our Company will remain our property until full payment of the amount due (French law date 25/01/85). If the Buyer fails to pay, the Buyer shall refrain from selling their stocks up to the quantity of the products for which payment has not been received. However, the responsibility of risks for damage, loss, or theft of the merchandise will be transferred to the Buyer once delivered. The Buyer must therefore be insured to cover these risks. In the event the Buyer is subject to insolvency proceedings, the Seller reserves the right to claim the sold merchandise according to the legal provisions and regulations in force. 9-Return of goods /exchanges Goods may only be returned with our approval, a return authorization will then be issued, no exceptions will be made and without this approval, your package will be refused. Goods are to be returned in their original condition, that means new (ironed, folded, bagged, if necessary). Otherwise, we will decrease the overall value of the goods. Returns by carriage forward will be refused. 10-Re-exportation / Retrocession It is strictly forbidden to re-export our products. Retrocession of our products is forbidden, the merchandise is exclusively intended to be sold on the delivery location indicated on the order confirmation. The Seller must be informed in advance of any sale of our products on an Internet site, in order for us to ensure that the said Internet site does not present the merchandise in conditions which conflict with our brand values, or in conditions that would undermine the image of our products, in relation to their quality or technical nature. The Buyer recognizes that this clause is intended to safeguard the distinct value and reputation of the Seller’s brands associated with the merchandise. If the Seller has not been informed in advance, or if the criteria stipulated above have not been satisfied, the Buyer must comply within 2 months of receiving a letter of notification setting out all the Seller’s requirements relating to the sale of the merchandise on the Internet site. After the 2-month period, and if the Internet site still does not comply with the stipulated criteria, the Seller shall be entitled to terminate all business relations existing between the two parties. 11-Brand and advertising The Buyer shall not behave, and shall not authorized any third parties to behave in such a manner as to damage or contradict the brands used by the Seller relating to the merchandise. In particular, the Buyer shall refrain from modifying, withdrawing or adding any element whatsoever to any brand featured on the merchandise received from the Seller, and shall not authorize any third parties to do so. Any advertising, promotional or commercial material supplied by the Seller, remains the Seller’s property. The Buyer shall use the advertising, promotional or commercial material in accordance with the Seller’s recommendations and shall not authorize any third parties to make use of it. Any other form of advertising used by the Buyer relating to the merchandise shall be subject to the prior written agreement of the Seller. The Buyer accepts to cease or modify, at its expense, any advertising in compliance with the Seller’s instructions. Notwithstanding the Seller’s consent, the Buyer undertakes to comply with current legislation for any advertising it makes relating to the merchandise. 12-Discounts Any discounts granted will only be applied if the Buyer has strictly complied with our General Terms & Conditions of Sale during the entire period previous to the agreement of the discount. We reserve the right to amend, reduce or cancel any discount granted to a Buyer for a given season in the case of cancellation of orders (total or in part) concerning that season. 13-Governing Law - Attribution of Jurisdiction The relations with our customers are exclusively governed by French Law. Any dispute, with our suppliers and our customers alike, jurisdiction is exclusively attributed to the Commercial Court of Dax (France), even for any third party proceedings or in the case of multiple respondents and this notwithstanding any clauses to the contrary.
