Risks and Complications
Breast implant surgery, like any other type of surgical operation, carries with it the possibility of a range of risks and problems. These may include bleeding, infection, changes in nipple sensation, implant rupture or leakage, and capsular contracture.
Capsular contracture is the formation of scar tissue around the implant, which can cause the breast to become hard and misshapen. Other potential complications include implant rupture or leakage, changes in nipple sensation, and changes in nipple sensation.
It is imperative that you have this conversation with your surgeon before the operation and that you follow all of the post-operative recommendations in order to reduce the likelihood of experiencing difficulties.
