REALITIES FOR CHILDREN?
Realities For Children is an alliance of local businesses whose mission is to provide for the unmet needs of children who have been abused, neglected, or are at-risk by uniting local businesses, youth agencies, and the community in collaborative and mutually beneficial service.
The underwriting support of the Business Members allows Realities For Children Charities to operate without expenses. This ensures that 100% of every donation directly benefits programs and services for the children we serve.
Partnered in service with local youth agencies, Realities For Children has created a safety net of services for children in our community who have faced abuse, neglect, or are at-risk.
Realities For Children service model
supports children from entry into the system and throughout their healing process. To do so we provide three essential legs of service.
The first leg of service requires we identify and meet the immediate, unmet and emergency needs provided within 60 minutes of a request so that no child in need is forgotten.
The second leg requires effective support services once emergency needs have been met so that the healing process along the path of recovery can begin.
The third leg focuses on provision of services that equip, support and provide resources so that as children emancipate from the system they are empowered to break the cycle of abuse.

After16 years of being involved with the Realities Ride & Rally in different capacities ranging from volunteer, performer, vendor, working with a sponsor, and now directing the World’s Largest Poker Run in its 23rd year, I am excited to announce we have moved into a multi-year partnership with Grimm Brothers Brewhouse as the primary location for the Rally and the official Ride start. With this partnership, the opportunity for an all-new ride route in areas we haven’t taken the Realities Ride to in the past has been created, along with new elements and the ability to bring back some of the nostalgia from years past.
As I craft this year’s Ride & Rally, it is an honor to work with several of our Business Members listed in this Directory as sponsors, and some bring a unique and exciting element to the event. It is essential to remember that the Realities Ride & Rally cannot exist without the critical support from our staff, Business Members, sponsors, volunteers, riding family, vendors, and more. Many of these are listed in this Directory, so I encourage you to use this Directory as a personal guide for any service or shopping need you have, professionally or personally. Please share these businesses with your friends and family, as they are making a difference in the lives of children in our community who have been abused, neglected, or are at-risk.
I hope you will join us for the 23rd annual Realities Ride & Rally where Every Mile Helps A Child. And remember, if you don’t ride, that’s OK! Everyone is welcome. Come down on Friday evening August 23 for our FREE Military Appreciation Night with live music, Presentation of Colors, vendors and more. For more details about the Ride & Rally and the festivities taking place at Grimm Brothers or to register for the Ride, please visit realitiesride.com

What a blessing! We just wrapped up our 2024 Royal Family KIDS (RFK) camp, and we couldn’t be more excited over the work God has done.
This year’s camp moved to the gorgeous mountains near Red Feather Lakes where we hosted 49 campers ages 7-12 from Larimer and Weld Counties. Experienced outdoor adventure guides knew how to give many of the kids the confidence they needed to succeed at archery, scaling a rock wall, and maneuvering to the top of the high ropes course.
One of our eight-year-olds beamed as he called out, “Look! I did it!” to the proud volunteers watching from below who hooted and hollered in support. It was a week of challenge, a week of healing, and a week of
pouring out love to children who have been abandoned, abused, or neglected. And we felt the presence of Jesus the entire time.
While camp is over for the year, we are already planning ahead. Next up is the Timberline Car Show at Timberline Church on August 10. If you’re a car enthusiast, join in the fun! All proceeds will go toward RFK programming for 2025.
In late July or early August, we will host our annual back-to-school event for children who attended camp. Each receives a backpack full of age-appropriate school supplies donated by Timberline Missions and a pair of new shoes. While the parents appreciate the supplies, the children are more interested in
reuniting with their friends from camp and the volunteers that loved and supported them throughout the week. For the children who have experienced loss and pain as well as the people who care for them, RFK is able to provide them with an extended family of love and support. Thank you so much for supporting our mission!

SPOTLIGHT PARTNER AGENCY
Since 1967, Turning Point Center for Youth & Family Development has provided behavioral health services to at-risk youth and families in Northern Colorado. Turning Point prides itself in adapting to the community’s evolving needs.
In 2022, Turning Point made the difficult decision to close all the youth Residential Treatment Programs in favor of shifting entirely to Outpatient services in Larimer and Weld Counties. A couple of new programs were added to the continuum of care, helping to address the growing need for services that support youth remaining in their homes and communities while receiv-
ing treatment. Visit www.TurningPnt. org to learn more about other services.
A new Adolescent Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) met a significant need for services in both counties. This program treats mental health and substance use disorders for youth aged 13-17 and provides six hours of intensive group services per week, plus individual and family therapy. Medicaid and other major insurances are accepted.
Several recent graduates of the IOP program have shared their inspiring journeys. They admitted that when they first joined the program, they were reluctant, but upon graduation,
they found it hard to leave. These clients have reported significant personal growth and learning during their time in IOP. One individual, who had a challenging history with pills, recently celebrated 6 months of sobriety.
In 2023, Turning Point hired a new Executive Director, Wendy Lee, LCSW, LAC. Wendy is a familiar face, having spent 20 years of her career with the organization before starting her private practice and becoming a professor at CSU. Under her leadership, Turning Point increased community partnerships, improved staff culture and partnerships as a student-learning site, and gained a better focus on services and spending. This has allowed Turning Point to move into a new chapter as a thriving outpatient behavioral health program serving all ages.
In June 2024, Turning Point celebrated a successful year with an open house. Turning Point is sincerely grateful for the ongoing community support and collaboration.
SPOTLIGHT BUSINESS MEMBER
Large companies can hire a multidisciplinary IT team to create custom software. But with IT salaries in the six figures, small and mid-sized companies risk falling behind because they lack sophisticated talent. “For less than the cost of one IT hire, we can build a custom application that helps businesses scale up,” says Murph McIver, Software Architect and Founder of Xeo Software.
Xeo (pronounced Zee’-oh) has been building custom business applications since 2001 and starts each project with a deep understanding of the company’s data. This is the key difference between custom and off-the-shelf software. The database upon which the entire system is built supports the requirements, vocabulary, and processes unique to each business and industry. The database supports several portals and
BUSINESS MEMBERS
keeps everything synchronized. For example, a back-office portal enables staff to log in on any phone or desktop browser to efficiently and accurately execute processes like generating invoices. Xeo also builds customer portals that implement the company’s web domain name and branding, allowing customers to place orders via a web browser or mobile application. With accurate data, dashboards calculate key performance metrics in real-time, allowing managers to find and fix issues quickly.
Xeo also integrates with off-the-shelf software that the company already uses. This often involves pushing invoices into an accounting system or creating new accounts from sales software.
While Xeo is a Fort Collins company, most of the talent resides in India and
has an average tenure of over ten years. This experienced team, focusing exclusively on custom software, rarely starts a new project from scratch. Instead, they start with the Xeo Base Module, which supports reporting, messaging, and tracking people, companies, events, and tasks. Between the free Xeo Base Module and the affordable Indian talent, Xeo specializes in providing affordable custom software for small and mid-sized businesses. They also support an array of innovative financing alternatives.
Investing in custom software versus off-the-shelf solutions hinges on the potential return on investment (ROI). While paying recurring license fees may suffice when off-the-shelf software efficiently addresses specific needs, innovative companies often find greater value in custom solutions. Owning and rapidly enhancing the intellectual property that supports their core business processes allows these companies to scale and adapt more swiftly to market changes. With Xeo’s affordable custom software solutions, innovative companies can transform their operations, achieving superior ROI and fostering sustainable growth.
Every service, program and fund provided by Realities For Children is possible due to the support from our local Business Members. With this investment, we are able to ensure thousands of children in our community who have faced abuse, neglect or are at-risk are not forgotten and have the opportunity to heal, learn and grow.
Our Business Members enjoy many marketing benefits and networking opportunities in addition to knowing that they are having a direct impact on our community’s youth.
Michelle Jones has a remarkable journey within the towing industry, rooted deeply in a family tradition that began during her childhood. After spending nineteen years as an owner-operator in a family business, she purchased Choice Towing in 2021, marking a new chapter filled with love and dedication.
Under her leadership, Choice Towing has flourished, with all drivers achieving WreckMaster Certification, a milestone that Michelle herself was among the first women to accomplish.
The community has recognized their excellence by awarding them Best of Fort Collins 2022, 2023 and 2024, a testament to their passion and the exceptional team they’ve built.
Beyond her professional achievements, Michelle treasures her extensive car collection and remains actively engaged in the towing industry both nationally and internationally. Her family’s legacy in towing continues with her daughter now running her own towing company, furthering their proud tradition.
Michelle’s journey is a testament to her unwavering commitment and passion for the towing industry. Her story serves as an inspiration to others who share her enthusiasm or are considering exploring opportunities in this field.

The 21st annual Realities Cup, presented by Blue Federal Credit Union, was hosted by Ptarmigan Country Club on July 8, featuring 32 teams. All players enjoyed numerous on-course games, including a chance to win $10,000 cash, Hole In One contests for a new car from Pedersen Toyota, a Honda Motorcycle from Elway Powersports, a brand new kayak from Waterline Sports, and this year’s Million Dollar Shot was taken by Harry Tillman. There was a skydiving ball drop sponsored by Sean Dougherty, The Hawaiian Shirt Guy, where one
lucky person who picked the winning number won $500 and just missed the lottery number for the chance to win an additional $25,000 cash!
Golfers played the private 18-hole Jack Nicklaus Signature Championship Golf Course at Ptarmigan Country Club to support abused, neglected, or at-risk children in Larimer County. After a day of fun in the sun, guests enjoyed an international cuisine banquet, a spirits pull by Eagle Rock, and an amazing silent auction! Congratulations to our 2024 Realities Cup Champions, Hoag Holdings. To
see all this year’s winners or relive the excitement shared with everyone who came together to support the children we serve, please visit realitiescup.com. We could not present the sold-out Realities Cup without the amazing support of our sponsors, staff, volunteers, donors, and teams. Thank you to everyone who made this amazing fundraiser possible, together we raised over $50,000 for Emergency Services and support needs of the children we care for.
