In my six years with RVT I have been proud to be involved in the development and expansion of the company, with a team who I believe is the best in the business. For customers who I am yet to meet, the RVT team are looking forward to working with you to make sure you are achieving the very best from your machinery and for your business. For those customers who we have worked with over the years and continue to do so we appreciate your support and are excited to showcase our latest product offerings.

In this edition we are excited to introduce the NEW T7 Long Wheel Base with PLM Intelligence. Launched at the EIMA show in late 2022 this tractor pushes operator comfort and driver experience to the max and we look forward to our first T7.300 demonstrator arriving soon! Read more on pages 4 and 5.

We are pleased to announce RVT Denbigh depot is NOW OPEN, AR AGOR, the full and rapidly expanding team is on hand and ready to support your business needs, from parts, service and repairs, to machinery sales. Our JCB territory has also expanded and we are looking forward to serving customers throughout Cheshire from our Middlewich depot.
Since the last magazine we have had some exciting internal promotions and new employees join the team, see pages 28 - 29.
Precision Farming is an important part of our business and we are proud to offer a dedicated RVT Precision team to support this sector, read an overview of there recent activities on pages 30 - 31.
RVT Groundcare has an exciting Spring season ahead with a new range of Hayter, Toro, Countax lawn mowers, and now at RVT Sudbury, Iseki mowers and compact tractors. We have specialist groundcare service technicians to support the full range, more details are on pages 32-33.
And finally, as I write this the RVT Isuzu team have returned from the Isuzu dealer conference as award winning Isuzu Dealer of the Year in Region 2 for the second year running and Contract Hire Dealer of the Year runners-up. A fantastic achievement for the team, recognising the high standards of customer service they offer and a great start to the year for them ahead of building developments as a new Isuzu showroom, workshop and aftersales department gets underway.

RVT have been a JCB Agriculture dealership for over 15 years in Staffordshire, Derbyshire, Shropshire and Mid Wales, and their Sudbury depot was awarded a JCB Centre of Excellence in November 2022.
JCB is at the forefront of the RVT business which brings dedication and expertise to the full range of JCB Agricultural machines, offering the highest level of support in our industry.
RVT will be on the road with an extensive demo and event calendar, and welcome customers new and old to have a chat with the team and learn about the company’s ongoing development and new product range across their seven depots.

RVT Sudbury has undertaken a revamp inside the depot, taking out the old parts office and counter to create an open plan Aftersales department office space, housing the parts, service and admin team. A wall has been knocked through from the office into the workshop to give easy access and given more storage and an office area for the workshop team. The depot has had a fresh coat of paint, new floor, signage and new counter units and desks to make it feel really clean and new! The new layout has abled the departments to merge as one, ultimately giving an even higher and much improved customer experience to the depot. 786561

Originating from Lancashire and being brought up on the family farm, Matt is no stranger to the trials and tribulations of the agricultural industry. Matt is a Harper Adams graduate and worked at JCB for 12 years both in the UK and abroad.

RVT PRECISION UPDATE
Hello we have had a busy few weeks learning about the CNH Precision Farming product line up and what to expect from 2023. Our Introduction Event to the product range has been a great success with over 65 customers able to ride and drive to try out the technology. We gave an overview of where CNH are heading with their technology portfolio, customers were surprised to see the technology on offer currently, and their plans for the future.
As we venture into spring the team will be busy installing new
technology onto machines and getting current technology updated and ready for the field. We have some interesting projects on the go such as converting a seed drill to full ISOBUS to enable variable rate and section control, implement guidance on more trailed machines, sprayer upgrades on older sprayers enabling section and rate control and many more. Keep a look out for what we can do and things we are up to via our social media pages.
We have recruited two additional members of the team with Harry Hamer and Matthew Meredith joining at the end of last year. Both will bring a great deal of technical knowledge and experience which will enable us to keep up with customer demands and uptime in the field. ‘Projects are becoming more technical these days with some very bespoke installations and by having a team capable of fulfilling our customer requirements we are set up well for the future.’

POTATO PLANTING
Utilising the on board technology and the data capture from specific in field applications can lead to understanding the full impacts of certain agronomic decisions. An example of this happened last year where James Heath trialled variable rate potato planting, something which hadn’t been attempted in the past, to see the results during harvest and the impact it made, which was made possible by having yield monitoring installed on their Grimme harvester a couple of years ago.
The theory behind creating a variable rate seeding map was based upon soil types, the heavier the ground the seed rate was increased up to 10%. As the Grimme planter worked in seed spacing, the map had to be created using this format, for example a standard seed spacing would be 20cm which would then decrease to 14cm to achieve a higher seed rate. At the time of planting the seed spacing locations were recorded on the display and an as applied map created. This can then be used to directly compare to the yield
