This book is a publication designed in accordance to the 1990s Japanese film called ‘Dreams’ also known as 'Yume'. It is a collection of tales based upon the actual dreams of director Akira Kurosawa. It has a total of 8 separate short films within and each film overlaps in terms of character and thematic material.
With each chapter having its own character, i created individual icons to die-cut to represent the titles of each chapter accompanied by their own coloured tracing paper behind. And also to bring out the dreamy feeling of the book yet it still portrays a tint of Japanese style, i used an ivory coated paper with a texture that is smooth yet similar to that of a Japanese Washi Paper, the front and back cover page is than covered with a white tracing paper binded by a white tape to represent the dreaminess of a dream.
