SCANNING POSITION 1

• The athlete should be 1 foot away from the wall, facing the camera with their fists on hips and feet shoulder-width apart.

Scanning Position 2

• The athlete should be 1 foot away from the wall with their left shoulder against the wall and their right arm at a 90-degree angle. Their left arm should be resting flush against the body and feet together. Make sure their arm is in line with their shoulder so eyes and face can be seen.

WATCH FOR INCORRECT BODY POSITIONING!

• Both arms should not be stretched up. (Left arm must be down and against the body, not seen.)

• Eyes should not be covered by arms.

• Feet should not be too far apart.

• The athlete should not look at the ground, just straight forward.
