The 10th annual Food Magazine Awards were held in Sydney recently, with 14 Australian food and beverage manufacturers recognised for their innovative product launches. Held at Luna Park on 8 August, the awards were established in 2004 to recognise and reward best practice and innovation in food and beverage processing in Australia and New Zealand.

This year saw more than 200 entries across the awards’ 14 categories, which include Beverages, Snack Foods, Confectionery, Packaging Design and Sustainable Manufacturing. The awards were judged by a panel of nine independent industry members and were presented at Friday night’s gala presentation, where Australian Made’s Ian Harrison attended as guest speaker, and Vince Sorrenti took the reins as MC.

Beverage manufacturer Rebello took out the Beverages category with its Cheeky Rascal Methode Traditionelle cider and was also named Best of the Best after earning the highest score across all of the awards’ categories.
