Nature speaks... BUT... are you listening?

Are you rushing through life constantly distracted by the ‘happenings’ around you and unintentionally shutting off from the stirrings and desires WITHIN you?

Are you struggling to find your purpose and path in life?
Perhaps it is time to put down your phone, step away from the lure of the digital and electronic smorgasbord and step outside in search of a natural sanctuary?
That sanctuary may be a secluded spot in your yard where you can wriggle your toes in the grass; it could be on the banks of a trickling stream where the watery notes become music to your ears; or beneath the reassuring canopy of leafy guardians in your local park.
Wherever you find your place of peace, here are my suggestions to tap into the natural wisdom that surrounds you so that it can wake up your OWN inner wisdom and activate your inner compass.
1. Close your eyes and still your mind. If you have trouble shutting out the monkey chatter, try inhaling the doTERRA Essential Oils in my Scents of Knowing blend to support this practice.
2. Set your intention for your time of reflection – create a question or questions you want to ask Nature.
3. Open your eyes and look around you – what can you see, hear, smell, taste, touch? As you note each sensation ask yourself questions such as:
a. What is this plant telling me? What can I learn from this flower? Why is that bird able to be watchful and still act in a carefree manner? What can I learn from the way the animals interact in the same environment? How can I apply this to MY situation?
b. Avoid judgment of the ‘practice’ and instead LISTEN to what comes up in your heart. E.g. What would this tree do in my situation? Perhaps he would bend with the winds of trouble AND stay deeply rooted in his truth, using flexibility to work through solutions?
4. Jot down your thoughts and insights and expand upon them after your initial brainstorming with Nature. From this you can create a forward plan to live out the destiny YOU designed!
