Become one with the cycles of nature
Article REBECCA-LEE
Do you understand the cycles of nature? If not, now is a great time for you to connect back to the energies of the cycles of Earth. By observing what is going on in nature throughout the year, you can better harness the energy of each season. There was a time that many of your Ancestors understood the seasons as they built and lived their life around them.

However, we have now built structures to insulate ourselves from the seasons (particularly in the western culture). We have our houses, our heating and cooling, and many foods that shouldn’t even be in season seem to be available from the shops (why is there watermelon in the winter?).
Regardless of what is happening most of us get up and go to work, every day, day in, day out, season to season, year after year. We seem to have lost our connection with the cycles of Earth and life.
Maybe you have a project you would like to begin or complete; or maybe you need some rest, or maybe you just need a change in your life. If you feel like you have attempted any of the above but it never happens, it might be worth stepping outside into nature and connecting to what is going on out there. Our bodies are a part of nature. You are here in a physical body, in this physical realm on a planet called Earth.
Rather than attempting these things you would like month in and month out without success, maybe you can start to seriously think about when might be the right time to do certain things and use the cycles of nature that you are in. When you really connect to the Earth and the cycles of nature you will find that there are seasons that are best to begin things, change things, end things, rest, celebrate and more. We are on Earth living in a cycle that can support us to live, develop, grow and change; and when you find that rhythm you will find that overall you start to feel more balanced and things in your life will start to flow more.
Here is a quick overview of a yearly plan you can start living your life by:
AUTUMN – After the Summer Solstice we begin to be distanced from the Sun. The temperature starts to cool down; and generally this is a time to take it back a gear. Leaves begin to fall off the trees which signifies it is a great time to consider what you need to let go of so that when it comes to winter you will be able to rest. You might think about detoxing your physical bodies, or mental and emotional bodies.
WINTER – The days are shorter and the nights are longer when we move into the winter. This is a time to rest and be still. The trees drop what they didn’t need in the autumn so they could rest in the winter and this is what you should consider. Winter is the time of introspection; of moving into the darkness within and seeing what it is you need to see within yourself so come spring you can make changes where needed and even plant new seeds.
SPRING – This is a great time to start to ‘step out’ again, and begin to start new projects. It is a time when energy starts building again and you begin to take creative and colourful action towards your intentions.
SUMMER – You have worked hard through the spring planting and building. The Summer is a time now for celebrating and things coming to fruition. Some of the fruit trees are baring fruit and the sun is closer; warming and energising us. It is the time for sharing and connecting with others and enjoying community.
Do you want to find a flow and rhythm in your life? Maybe it is time to activate or explore your intuition in new ways. Come and join me in harnessing the energy of each season through an intuitive medicine painting process called Tree Woman. All details are on my website.
