Interview and Article MICHELLE R PRICE

Greg Keily is a Mental Health Hypnotherapist and Mind Coach based in Queensland, Australia, who assists people with their mental health challenges on a daily basis. He also helps people run successful businesses. I sat down with Greg to find out how he does this and to discover a little more about what makes him tick.

I decided I wanted to speak to Greg after one of his posts appeared in my news feed on Facebook. It was quite raw and I’ve included some of it here. Greg posted, “I’ve been hugely successful and I’ve been broke and I’ve been successful again, I’ve experienced 38 different jobs from scrubbing dishes in a restaurant to assisting multi-million dollar investors. “I’ve served our country [Navy] and I’ve served the public in the Emergency Services. I’ve married and I’ve raised children… I’ve suffered severe depression and I’ve been the most positive person in the room. I’ve experienced death and I’ve experienced life.”

Reading that made me want to find out more. Greg admits he has experienced everything from PTSD to depression and anxiety, self-sabotage, domestic violence, smoking, eating disorders, lack of self-worth, lack of self-love, loss of loved ones as well as goal visualization and large success.

After discovering he had been ridiculed and put down by others from the age of two, he realised it was connected to the fact that every time he succeeded at something like sport or a career, he would simply walk away and begin from scratch in a new sport or new job – unconsciously he was never meant to succeed due to that programming when he was two years old.

Greg said this occurs with so many people where they just cannot seem to achieve success in relationships or career due to an underlying unconscious blockage from their past. He said, “A lot of the things people are experiencing these days, especially in our current climate of lockdowns and taking away people’s freedom… they go into a state of depression and things from their past come back and… trigger them.”

Greg also said, “We need to understand that the outside environment, the parents, relatives… impact on them when they were born and their real energy, power, strength and love is diminished over time. Then they get to the age of 30-plus and find themselves going through serious cycles of toxic environments.

“Everyone has this amazing passion to succeed and love life but consciously they just can’t get there because… their unconscious mind, which doesn’t just appear in their brain, it’s actually throughout their entire body, it’s through all their cells; their central nervous system however, it remembers everything and attaches emotions to past events that they could have experienced in the womb between the ages of zero and 10.”

Significant incidents like trauma and abuse at that young age influence them later in life. Greg explains that, “The unconscious mind attaches an emotion to an event that they cannot let go, it just keeps triggering them or [prevents] them from being successful.”

Greg said it’s amazing how quickly the healing can happen once there is a release. “I love this, I’m so passionate about it because it just blows me away how quickly people can release their past emotions and get their life back on track.”

He said each person is different so a process is designed specifically for them. Greg can help break unhealthy patterns of behaviour within families and offers many affordable options.
