The webinar was led by Jackie Jamsheed, an associate professor of accounting at Central Connecticut State University. To avoid fraud, Jamsheed said, businesses need to protect themselves both within and outside their own walls. That means business partners as well as key clients and vendors
should be fully vetted. “Sometimes an employee can be colluding with the vendor on fraud or theft.
