American Eagle Financial Credit Union announced the top vote recipients for its latest round of Cash Back to the Community effort, and Berlin-based Boxes to Boots made the top three, along with the Hartford County 4-H Camp (Marlborough) and the Free Center (Middletown). Each of the non-profits will receive $8,376 from American Eagle. Boxes to Boots works throughout the year to raise funds and create care packages for deployed U.S. military personnel serving overseas. In November 2021, the organization sent 1,200 care packages to Connecticut National Guard soldiers stationed in Africa, Poland, Kuwait and Kosovo.
