BHS Ultimate team soars during its inaugural campaign

Berlin High School’s Ultimate team held its first-ever practice in May of 2022. One year later, the squad earned a state championship.

Berlin went 4-0 in the 2023 Division II Ultimate tournament, held May 21, and outscored its opponents 43 to 5 on the way to claiming the state title in the team’s inaugural season.

Originally known as ultimate Frisbee, Ultimate is a non-contact team sport played with a disc flung by hand.
