Cheshire’s first Repair Café, sponsored by the Coalition for a Sustainable Cheshire, will be held Saturday, April 9, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the Leonard Harmon, Jr. Youth Center (Cheshire Parks & Rec), 559 South Main St. Here’s what attendees need to know:

If you need a specific part to fix your item, bring that part with you. For instance, if you know your bike needs an inner tube, bring the tube. MERIDEN — State Sen. Mary Abrams, D-13th, will not seek re-election in 2022. The two-term Democrat represents a district covering Meriden, Cheshire, Middlefield and Middletown. State Sen. Mary Abrams, D-13th, will not seek re-election.
Abrams won election to the state Senate in 2018 in her first run for public office and
