Historical society closed until 2020 for renovations By Everett Bishop The Citizen

New year, new historical society. The North Haven Historical Society, located in the North Haven Cultural Center at 27 Broadway, will be undergoing renovations through the new year. “It will allow us to make the exhibits more current, it’ll be more appealing and we

don’t have to worry about the ceiling falling on our heads,” quipped Ann Clark, vice president of the historical society’s board of directors. The Cultural Center will be refloored and repainted. Last year, the town replaced the original slate roof atop the Cultural Center after it began to leak. The leak created residual damage to the walls and plaster as well as to the carpet which was installed
