Coin sale benefits late officer’s family The Plainville Police Department is selling memorial coins honoring Officer Brian Cybulski, who was killed in a motorcyle accident on May 18. Cybulski was just 40 years old. The Plainville High School girls soccer team opened its season last Friday with a resounding 11-1 victory over Platt in Meriden. It didn’t take long for Plainville to begin its onslaught. The Blue Devils scored their first goal in the fourth minute. Ten minutes later, the Blue Devils were on the scoreboard again. And by halftime, Plainville held a comfortable 6-0 lead. The Blue Devils dropped their next game, 5-0, to Bristol Central.
