At Frederick County Parks and Recreation (FCPR), we believe that sports have the power to bring people together, promote wellness, and build community. Our Adult Sports Leagues offer more than just competition—they provide opportunities to stay active, connect with others, and enjoy the game in a fun and supportive environment.
Whether you’re a seasoned player or looking to try something new, our leagues welcome participants of all skill levels and backgrounds. We emphasize sportsmanship, teamwork, and respect, ensuring that every player has a great experience both on and off the field.

Play is 5 vs 5 with a minimum of 2 females required on field at all times. Format is NFL FLAG rules modified for adults; everyone is eligible to receive passes. Games will be played on Tuesday nights from 6:30-10:00pm at Ballenger Creek Park from April 1st to May 27th. Approximately 7 regular season games prior to post-season playoff. Teams provide their own jerseys/shirts.

This is an 8 vs. 8 league. Roster minimum of 10 and maximum of 16. Games will be played on Sundays from 8:00am - 2:00pm at Ballenger Creek Park from April 6th to June 15th. Approximately 7 regular season games prior to postseason playoff. Teams provide their own jerseys/shirts.

All teams will play approximately 6 regular season games and a championship tournament. Games will be played on Wednesday evenings from 6:00-9:30pm at various Rec Centers between April 9th to June 11th. There is a roster minimum of 8 people and a maximum of 15 people to a team. Team jerseys/shirts not included.

This 6v6 co-ed volleyball league will be played on Tuesday evenings from 7:00-10:00pm at the Sugarloaf Recreation Center from April 8th - June 10th. There are 7 regular season games prior to a post season playoff. Teams will be guaranteed a minimum of one game per week. All teams must have at least 2 females on the court at all times. Each team will be required to turn in an official team roster prior to the beginning of the season. Games will be self-officiated and volleyballs will be provided by the league.
Co-ed Quads Beach Volleyball
This 4v4 co-ed adult beach volleyball league will be played on Utica District Park’s beach volleyball courts from April 7th and June 9th! There are 6 regular season games prior to a post season playoff. All games played on Monday evenings from 5:00 - 8:00pm. Teams will be guaranteed a minimum of one game per week. Each team will be required to turn in an official team roster prior to the beginning of the season. Games will be self-officiated, and volleyballs will be provided by the league.

This program is for males 16 years and older. Games will be played on Tuesday nights from 6:00-8:00pm on the synthetic turf at Othello Regional from March 25th to May 20th. Registrants will receive an XL reversible jersey with their pre-paid registration. All athletes must provide their own equipment (helmet, sticks, gloves, shoulder pads, arm pads, etc.). Body-Checking is NOT allowed in this league. Players under the age of 18 years must have a parent/guardian waiver completed prior to playing. We are looking for Youth & Adult League Officials
This position offers approximately 4-8 hours per week and varies on both weekdays and weekends. This is a non-benefited part-time position with a rate of $16.00/hour and candidates must be at least 16 years old to apply.
We’re Hiring Sports Referees
This person will have the opportunity to officiate Youth and Adult Basketball, Flag Football, Soccer and Volleyball Leagues. They are expected to maintain a fun and safe environment for all participants. Keeping players safe and players healthy are first concerns, the official will promptly and decisively address unsafe situations as well as unsafe/inappropriate conduct on the part of coaches, players and spectators. Location, time and duration of each game will depend upon schedule, location and other factors as determined by supervision. Necessary equipment will be provided by the Division of Parks and Recreation.

HOW TO REGISTER:
• Register online at www.recreater.com, click “Activities” and search the league of your choice by name or program #.
• Call 301-600-2936, have your program number (i.e. #24099) and credit card number ready.

You will receive a registration confirmation via e-mail after your registration is complete so please make sure your e-mail is current in our system. Be sure to verify your receipt for accuracy.
ACCOMMODATIONS:
We are able to offer reasonable accommodations, such as providing support staff to individuals with disabilities on an as-needed basis to assist in making the program a positive experience for the individual. AGE POLICY:
Program participants must be the advertised age of the program before the program ends. All age requirements are set to benefit the participants and to make sure the game-play is consistent and safe.

CODE OF CONDUCT
Frederick County Parks and Recreation (FCPR) is committed to providing a safe and welcoming environment for all participants and guests. To promote safety and enjoyment for all, FCPR asks individuals to act appropriately at all times while they are visiting FCPR facilities or participating in FCPR leagues.
As a participant in our Leagues, you agree to:
1. Treat other participants, staff, spectators, and officials with respect at all times.
2. Refrain from the use of profanity or obscene gestures.
3. Follow all directions from officials and FCPR staff.
4. Respect the fields, rec centers, equipment, and facility amenities.
5. Promote sportsmanship, safety, and fun above winning.
6. Read and review the league rules, FCPR League Mission Statement, and facility policies.
Customer Withdraws:
FCPR has a discipline policy for conduct at recreation programs and facilities. Anyone that violates the Code of Conduct and are asked to leave the league or facility, will not be refunded. County employees are not responsible for league participants prior to, or after, a scheduled games.
FCPR will investigate all reported incidents. Suspension or termination of the FCPR privileges may result if there’s any Code of Conduct violation.
CONCUSSION AWARENESS:
The registration process for youth sports requires a review of the information on concussions and concussion awareness available on our website www.recreater. com/concussion. Participants must review the concussion awareness information prior to the first session in order to comply with the state law. If you are unable to review the concussion awareness information online, you must request a written copy from the Division of Parks & Rec by calling 301-600-2936.
INCLEMENT WEATHER-RELATED CLOSURES:
In times of inclement weather, you can check the status of a program by calling the Program Status Line at 301-600-6291, checking our social media outlets listed below or go to our website (www.recreater.com).
If a program is cancelled due to inclement weather, every effort will be made to make-up missed programs. Refunds will not be granted for rescheduled programs that are missed due to conflicts with personal schedules.

Participants must acknowledge that there are inherent risks and dangers associated with recreation activities and must hold Frederick County, Maryland harmless from all claims for injuries, damage, or loss, which may result from you or your child’s participation.
IMAGE/MEDIA WAIVER:
Participants consent to Frederick County, Maryland’s use of the participant’s image and likeness as shown in any photographs, videotapes, motion picture film, or electronic images, and any audio recordings made of the participant’s voice in whatever way the County desires, including television, print and Internet websites. Furthermore, you consent that such photographs, films, recordings, electronic images shall be the sole property of Frederick County, Maryland. Participants have the option to submit a non-consent for the use of images of yourself or your child during online registration or by calling 301-600-2936.
Refunds are issued for activities cancelled by Frederick County Parks & Recreation or when rescheduling is not possible. Customer withdrawals must be requested using the online form and are subject to the refund schedule available online at www.recreater.com.
