64. Festival internazionale di Musica contemporanea.

Dal 25 settembre al 4 ottobre. Intitolato Incontri, questo festival, il più prolifico tra quelli prodotti dalla Biennale, presenterà grandi perso nalità della musica del passato recente, il loro pensiero e le loro pratiche musicali, in dialogo con autori della contemporaneità. L’edizione assegna il tributo alla carriera a Luis de Pablo, originalissimo compositore determinante del rinnovamento musicale in Spagna e il Leone d’Argento a Raphaël Cendo, fondatore del “saturazionismo”, un vero e proprio movimento estetico che ha rivoluzionato il modo di concepire e scrivere musica. 64th International contemporary Music Festival.

From 25 September to 4 October. Titled Meetings, this festival, the most prolific among those produced by the Biennale, will present great fig ures from the music of the recent past, their thought and their musical practices, in a dialogue with contemporary authors. This edition is awarding its life achievement tribute to Luis de Pablo, a highly original and determinant composer within the musical renewal in Spain, and its Silver Lion to Raphaël Cendo, the founder of “saturated music”, a true aesthetic movement which has revolutionised the way of conceiving and writing music.
