Interview with a coach Mr Todd Kropp Redeemer Volleyball Coach: How long have you been coaching and what first got you involved? David Glinster—Level 3 Coach with our Tennis Select Trials
A) 7 years ago, I started studying at TAFE. I always wanted to be an elite player, but wasn’t quite good enough so decided on coaching! What is your favourite thing about Volleyball? A) It’s a high energy game and a complex sport. Seeing others achieve is great! How tall are you really?
A) 209 cm! What advice would you give to a student interested in starting a new sport? A) IT’s important not to have regrets about not taking op-
portunities. Being scarred is ok, be courageous! It may take time and commitment but stick with it.

Term 1 sees us compete in two Saturday morning sports, with Redeemer fielding 3 junior Cricket teams and 4 junior Hockey teams. Following the success of the RLC Cricket Club, it is fantastic to have been able to increase our team numbers from 2016. All the players are passionate and focused on developing their skills and many enjoy watching the Big Bash and the success of the Brisbane Heat.
Our Hockey teams are also strong, with our year 6 team starting the season very well with a 7-0 victory. Throughout the term Hockey will be played at Rasey Park, in Herston, so if you are looking at going to support some of our younger players they will always be playing
In term 1 we are offering a range of program in addition to JTAS. These programs are designed to upskill our children in the discovery phase and provide students with an opportunity to explore sports which they may not of otherwise.
