Greetings

I

t’s amazing a year has passed since our inaugural Holiday Guide. We hope it’s been a successful one for you and yours. Special events have been plenty in 2014, and our region celebrated 375 year anniversary milestones in four towns: congratulations Fairfield, Guilford, Milford, and Stratford! The fun continues as chilly days and evenings usher in winter. The coming calendar days herald gatherings of family and friends; thoughts of others perhaps less fortunate; and days and night to decorate, to sing, to shop, to feast, to bake, to laugh; to be ready to celebrate all that the holiday season means to you. Our 2014 Holiday Guide is overflowing with local professionals, retailers, and specialists ready to make holiday preparations and shopping a breeze. Connecticut Living encourages you to shop to local; by keeping your seasonal spending with our region you help local businesses—and your entire community—to thrive! We’ve gathered as many local festive happenings and ways to spread cheer within greater Fairfield and New Haven community as our pages would hold. Bridging the gap between regions, Connecticut Living is bursting with arts, tree lightings, plays, children’s events, music, fine food, restaurants, and more—all within miles of your doorstep! We hope you will use this Holiday Guide as your go-to list to make your season the brightest. May this season create the golden memories we hold dear and last throughout the coming year. All of us at Red Mat Publishing wish you and yours a joyous, healthy, and happy holiday season.
