ABOUT THE ARTIST
CHARLOTTE LANE British Artist
With a prestigious training in theatre design preceded by a busy career as a Theatrical Scenic Artist in London’s West End, Charlotte Lane has been painting atmospheric pieces professionally for over fifteen years. Lane has worked alongside some of the best scenic artists in the world, including The Royal Opera House, The ENO, the Olympic Opening Ceremony, among others.
Charlotte’s ongoing solo exhibition at REDSEA Gallery entitled ‘Light Side of the Moon’ features her latest series inspired by the alluring illumination of the moon and its energy. “I love the idea of the moon as a unifying force, a global symbol of togetherness, we’re all just humans in the light of the moon.”
Charlotte Lane also makes use of various skies and seascapes to create evocative works on canvas, playing around with the various hues and brush strokes to create immersive evocative paintings for the viewer. Her works offer an interesting look into the relationship between the weather and the human condition.
