LATEST NEWS There has been much excitement here at The Regis Centre since we published our last brochure. Several in-depth surveys have now taken place, along with a number of consultations. All of this is, of course, gearing up for our long-awaited and much-needed refit. Our beloved venue will be in much better shape; both physically more attractive and considerably more user friendly. Our loyal customers and theatre-goers, from the Bognor Regis community and beyond, will certainly enjoy a much improved visitor experience. The building will also benefit from some long overdue repairs and refurbishment. This will help assure its future. It is now looking likely that we will close early in 2023 to facilitate all the necessary works. At this moment in time I cannot give the exact date, but I can say it will be after this year’s spectacular pantomime - Beauty and The Beast and a very special community production in January. As yet we have no reopening date, but please keep an eye on our website as we will be directing all updates there. We will keep you posted on the refit, every step of the way. Along with all my Trustee colleagues at Arun Arts and all the Regis Team, I thank you for your ongoing support. We really appreciate each and every customer. We hope you enjoy our programme for the rest of 2022, and we look forward to welcoming you back to our amazing new facility after the work has been completed. But in the meantime, get booking for the rest of this year - there is something for everyone. With warm regards, Hazel Latus. BEM Chairman Arun Arts Co Ltd on behalf of Arun Arts and the Regis Centre Team

CAFE & BAR A few steps away from the seafront, our Café is the perfect location for a freshly ground coffee, light snack or delicious cake. Stay as long as you like, use our free Wi-Fi, read the paper and relax. Whether it’s meeting friends, taking a break or relaxing before seeing a show, our Café is the ideal place. Don’t forget to grab a drink from our Theatre Bar prior to the show, or pre-order something for the interval on your next visit.

TONY STOCKWELL MON 3 OCTOBER 7.30PM

TICKETS £21 / PREMIUM SEATS £24 Remarkably compelling, amazingly detailed and always humorous. The popular star of TV’s Street Psychic, Psychic Private Eyes and Psychic Academy, Tony Stockwell has a long established credibility as one of the top Intuitive Mediums and has shared the stage all round the world with international mediums such as Colin Fry, James van Praagh and Lisa Williams. Tony demonstrates his belief that those who have passed can communicate with their loved ones with detailed messages frequently including names, dates and locations and all delivered with emotion, sensitivity and empathy. The evening may include psychometry, photograph readings and psychic prediction. Recent legislative guidelines insist that any Evening of Mediumship should be billed ‘for entertainment purposes’. Tony certainly uses his natural wit, showmanship and Cockney charisma to entertain but more important, Mediumship has the potential to change someone’s life and instil in them a sense of peace, comfort and purpose. We hope that nobody can fail to come away untouched by the experience.

FOLLIES

TICKETS £18 / £15.50 UNDER 16s/NUS Book by James Goldman Music and Lyrics by Stephen Sondheim Produced Originally on Broadway by Harold Prince Orchestrations by Jonathan Tunick By special arrangement with Cameron Mackintosh A true theatrical event, this legendary masterpiece is considered by many to be the greatest musical ever created. Surreal, sophisticated, compelling, heart wrenching and epic in scope, Follies by musical theatre legend Stephen Sondheim and author James Goldman, uses the musical theatre as a metaphor for the collapse of American innocence and naivety in the post-Kennedy years. In Follies the year is 1971, and theatrical impresario Dimitri Weissmann hosts a reunion of ex-Follies performers in his crumbling theatre, setting the stage for a parade of brilliant pastiche numbers, including “Losing My Mind,” “I’m Still Here,” and “Broadway Baby.” Amid the reminiscing, two middle-aged couples confront some unpleasant truths about their past and present, and come face to face with the future. H

The Regis Centre prides itself on being a community venue for all so when you see a little ‘H’ next to an event this means the show is produced by a local society or non-professional company. For these events we are not responsible for either the pricing or content of the show.
