SUMMER 2022
NEWS ON OUR REDEVELOPMENT In Autumn last year, we heard the news that we are receiving £12.2 million bid money from Central Government via Arun District Council for a wonderful refit to the Regis Centre and Alexandra Theatre. This will give us a new façade and extra spaces for studios and all in house facilities that will of course be eco-friendly too. Currently we are in the middle of the early stages and in-depth surveys that will form the platform for everything to go ahead. It is so exciting that things are under way, making everything seem very real. We should hear in the not too distant future about the plan of action and when we will be closing. At this current moment it is impossible to have an exact date until all the preliminary tests are completed, and any advanced work is carried out in preparation for the actual start of the refit. Guesstimates are that we will close early in 2023, although at present we cannot say how long for. All the relevant information will be available very soon, so do keep an eye on our website, as our intention is to let our valued customers and users know what is happening every step of the way – once we know ourselves. Thank you for continuing to support us and rest assured we will do our very best to ensure that everyone’s ideas are represented and together we can reap the benefits of a fantastic new space to be proud of. Very best wishes from Hazel Latus Chairman for Arun Arts Co Ltd and the Regis Centre Team

TICKETS £18 / £15.50 UNDER 16s, NUS
Based on the DreamWorks Animation Motion Picture and the book by William Steig
Based on the Oscar-winning DreamWorks Animation film, Shrek The Musical is a Tony Award-winning fairy tale adventure, featuring all new songs from Jeanine Tesori (Thoroughly Modern Millie; Caroline, or Change) and a sidesplitting book by David Lindsay-Abaire. Shrek brings all the beloved characters you know from the film to life on stage and proves there’s more to the story than meets the ears. “Once upon a time, there was a little ogre named Shrek….” And thus begins the tale of an unlikely hero who finds himself on a life-changing journey alongside a wisecracking Donkey and a feisty princess who resists her rescue. Throw in a short-tempered bad guy, a cookie with an attitude and over a dozen other fairy tale misfits, and you’ve got the kind of mess that calls for a real hero. Luckily, there’s one on hand… and his name is Shrek. Irreverently fun for the whole family, Shrek proves that beauty is truly in the eye of the ogre. TICKETS £21 / PREMIUM SEATS £24 Remarkably compelling, amazingly detailed and always humorous. The popular star of TV’s Street Psychic, Psychic Private Eyes and Psychic Academy, Tony Stockwell has a long established credibility as one of the top Intuitive Mediums and has shared the stage all round the world with international mediums such as Colin Fry, James van Praagh and Lisa Williams. Tony demonstrates his belief that those who have passed can communicate with their loved ones with detailed messages frequently including names, dates and locations and all delivered with emotion, sensitivity and empathy. The evening may include psychometry, photograph readings and psychic prediction. Recent legislative guidelines insist that any Evening of Mediumship should be billed ‘for entertainment purposes’. Tony certainly uses his natural wit, showmanship and Cockney charisma to entertain but more important, Mediumship has the potential to change someone’s life and instil in them a sense of peace, comfort and purpose. We hope that nobody can fail to come away untouched by the experience.
