By Tim Firth. Music and Lyrics by Madness

Based in 1980s Camden, OUR HOUSE tells the story of London lad Joe Casey, who, on the night of his sixteenth birthday, takes the girl of his dreams, out on their first date. In an effort to impress her, he breaks into a building site overlooking his home on Casey Street. Based on an original play by Eddie Alford, THE STORY OF LOVE IN THE HARBOUR is a moving musical dramatization of the romance between George McElroy, a British RAF Officer and Grace Guinan, a young Irish girl, who fight with passion to preserve their love at a time of huge change and turmoil. Set in WW1 on the front-line in France, and in rural Ireland, the action is conveyed through stirring scene enactments on stage, compelling narration and vivid images of the period - all designed to inspire and move the audience. The beautiful all-original music and lyrics, performed live by Danielle Morgan and orchestra, convey powerful emotions that lead us to reflect on the true meaning of heroism, sacrifice and love - timeless themes still relevant today.

Brought to you by the same team that produced ‘The Addams Family’ and ‘Jekyll & Hyde’ in their 2018/19 season. Winner of 9 Tony Awards when it debuted in 1964, FIDDLER ON THE ROOF is the brainchild of Broadway legends Jerome Robbins, Harold Prince, songwriters Jerry Bock and Sheldon Harnick, and bookwriter Joseph Stein. Touching audiences worldwide with its humour, warmth and honesty, this universal show is a staple of the musical theatre canon. Set in the little village of Anatevka, the story centers on Tevye, a poor dairyman, and his five daughters. With the help of a colourful and tight-knit Jewish community, Tevye tries to protect his daughters and instil them with traditional values in the face of changing social mores and the growing anti-Semitism of Czarist Russia. Rich in historical and ethnic detail, ‘Fiddler On The Roof’’s universal theme of tradition cuts across barriers of race, class, nationality and religion, leaving audiences crying tears of laughter, joy and sadness.
