lyria, Ohio—On Thursday, June 25, at the 2009 GARBC Conference, BBC director Michael Nolan had the privilege of presenting Pastor Webster Frowner and his wife, Beverly, with a “big” check for their church, First Regular Baptist Church, Kansas City, Mo. Feeling blessed and excited, the Frowners could not wait to return home to present the check to the congregation. The money will be used to replace an old HVAC system that could not be repaired. Pastor Frowner said the funds came

rownsville, PA—Edith M. Jenney has been a BBC member for more than 40 years. She recently wrote to us, describing herself as an “ardent member of Baptist Builders Club.” Not being familiar with the word “ardent,” I took a minute to find the meaning in a dictionary. Here is what Webster’s has to say: “ardent—characterized by warmth of feeling typically expressed in eager, zealous support or activity.” What a great definition! Not just a supporter, but an “eager, zealous” supporter with feelings of warmth about what is going on!

In 1967, Edith learned firsthand what it’s like to benefit from BBC’s aid: her church, Baptist Bible Church of Brownsville, PA, received a grant when they purchased their new building. They used the funds to refurbish the front of their church building. BBC appreciates and thanks faithful members like Edith M. Jenney.
have been a member for all these years [forty], and as long as I live I pray to continue in your [BBC’s] efforts to help churches. I pray for others to take on this action to help financially and prayerfully.”

Earthquakes in Indiana, floods in Iowa—2008 had its obstacles! And with the economy the way it is, 2009 is turning up its own set of unique difficulties. It’s no surprise, then, that requests from struggling churches are expected to rise. In the meantime, though, membership and donations have declined. In spite of the trials, rejoice with the board of administrators, Kristen (my wife and ministry partner), and me that God has made it possible for church requests to be met. I am praying that individuals and churches throughout our Fellowship will

become aware of—and understand the importance of— Baptist Builders Club. As the needs increase, we need a larger support base, that is, new club members and support from sister churches. Fundamental, doctrinally sound Regular Baptist churches are needed more now than ever. Will you consider becoming a prayer or financial partner? I would love the opportunity to come to your church and share the vision of BBC. To schedule a presentation, contact Kristen at 1-888-588-1600 or knolan@garbc.org.
