Iowa Flood Update

mergency flood relief is still under way in Waverly, Iowa. Thanks to the financial and prayer partners of Baptist Builders Club, a check for $17,500 has already been sent to help with the great need there. Emergency funds are still coming in, and more help will be sent soon. During this time of need, Baptist Builders Club had a unique opportunity to collect donations of food and baby items to take to the flooded area. GARBC annual conference attendees helped in a huge way. They dropped off donations at the BBC booth while at the conference in Ankeny, Iowa. Hundreds of pounds of supplies were given and then delivered to Cedar Rapids. To read more about this effort, visit the BBC website at www.baptistbuildersclub.org.

A Note of Note Thanks

want to take this time to recognize someone who has served with kindness and compassion in Regular Baptist Ministries for 28 years. Most of you who are familiar with Baptist Builders Club have seen or heard the name Judy Emery. Some of you may have even spoken with Judy on the phone or at our annual conferences. That is because she has been a constant staple of this ministry for many years.

Judy began working for RBP in production in 1980. In 1982 she became the receptionist for Regular Baptist Ministries and the administrative assistant for Baptist Builders Club. In 1987 she was offered the position of administrative assistant for Gospel Literature Services. She loved working with Baptist Builders Club so much that she asked if she could continue those duties as well. As Judy prepares for retirement, join me in praising the Lord for her many years of dedication, hard work, and faithfulness to the ministry of BBC. She will be greatly missed. Judy, thank you. It has been a privilege and a blessing to serve in this ministry with you. Sincerely, Michael Nolan, Director

have been a supporting member of the Baptist Builders Club since the first time we received the first check. Thanks for being a partner with us when we needed your help the most.”

Brookdale Baptist Church Charter Members

Spotlight Mrs. Sanders, one of six charter members of Brookdale Baptist Church in Moorhead, Minnesota, knows firsthand the blessings of the Baptist Builders Club. When banks in the Moorhead area thought the church was too big a risk, BBC did not. Baptist Builders Club recognized that this church was needed in the community, and granted financial assistance. Brookdale Baptist Church began in 1967 with founding missionary pastor John Schroder, his family, and the Sanders family. I recently spoke with Mrs. Sanders, and she shared that the church has grown from 6 to 200 members, with around 300 in attendance on Sundays. Praise the Lord! She spoke of the importance of having good men in leadership and rejoiced that the current pastor, Gary Walton, and his associate pastor, Tim Terpstra, are wonderful men who know how to preach the Bible. Thank you, Mrs. Sanders, for your letter, photos, and update, and for the continuing support you give to Baptist Builders Club. — Kristen Nolan Administrative Assistant
