Educational Hour

Renald Showers, prolific author and scholar, approaches the Scriptures as a teacher. Equipped with years of research, Dr. Showers will guide you through an examination of the Scriptures and the issue. Dr. Renald Showers

Evening Worship Service

Kevin Bauder, president of Central Baptist Theological Seminary, approaches the Scriptures as a pastor. Dr. Bauder uses his immense knowledge to address the theme in a practical and engaging way.

Interactive Discussion

Optional sessions in the afternoon provide you with the unique opportunity to interact on the topic of covenant vs. dispensational theology. Through a group panel discussion, roundtable conversations, and blogging, you will have the opportunity to ask questions and provide your insight on this topic!

Conference Activities

Golf Tournament

Start the conference week off swinging! The annual nine-hole golf tournament will be held on Monday, June 22, 1:30 to 5:30 p.m. $35 for green fees, cart, and prizes. Four golfers per team—any combination of men or women. Some rentals available, but best to bring your own clubs. Register by June 10.

Baptist Meals Enjoy a great time of fellowship and food . . . it’s the Baptist way! Sign up on the registration form.

Service Awards

At the GARBC Conference in Elyria, Ohio, and in The Baptist Bulletin, we will recognize faithful servants of the Lord. ADULTS

We are looking for vocational ministry personnel such as pastors and wives, missionaries, and church staff members as well as nonvocational ministry workers (men, women, and couples). STUDENTS

Nominate a high school students from your youth group for a Student Service Award. These awards will be given to students who demonstrate outstanding Christian character and service at home, at church, and in their community, as well as an exemplary reputation among peers and adults. Go to www.garbc.org/serviceawards to submit your nomination or download the nomination form. Please submit all nominations by March 1. A committee will review all nominations to determine this year’s honorees. 5

The GARBC constitution (Article VI) provides that six men shall be elected annually to serve for three years and may serve two consecutive terms. In the 2009 election one man who is not a pastor may be elected. Nominees must be men who are members of churches in fellowship with the GARBC. Each church is entitled to nominate as many names as it desires.

Important Voting Information for GARBC Messengers Your church may send up to six voting messengers who may vote at all business meetings. Two of the messengers designated by your church may vote in the Council of Eighteen election. The designated voters will receive a Council of Eighteen ballot at the time of the election. 8
