FEBRUARY 2024

MEMBER NEWSLETTER Dear Members, Happy February! I hope you all are staying cozy and warm this winter. Good news- I recently learned that we have lived through the darkest days of winter. This means that the sun will begin setting later, and days will start to feel longer again. Before we know it, spring will be right around the corner.

Our Hughes Conservatory just had a major changeout, and it is breathtakingly beautiful. Our staff and volunteers worked very hard to

create the most stunning display: Spring Cottage. This display and the plant life surrounding it is just gorgeous. What is even more impressive is that they did this changeout in just five days. Our staff and volunteers continue to go above and beyond with their hard work and creativity. We invite you to check out the Conservatory soon- it is the perfect escape from winter. Looking to add a pop of color to your home during the winter doldrums? Look no further! We will be holding the ā€œOrchid Fest: Members-Onlyā€ event on Friday, February 9, 2024. These beautiful orchids will come in a variety of colors and species. A special member-only link has been sent to your email which will allow you to RSVP soon. We will also be serving delicious punch, cookies, and chocolates as well. If you have trouble signing up, please email me. Thank you for reading this monthā€™s member e-newsletter. We are delighted you are a member and feel immense gratitude for your support. Members are truly the pillars of Reiman Gardens.

Volunteer Reception on February 2; Need For Volunteers Continues This month, we take the opportunity to thank ALL of our volunteers who gave a helping hand in 2023!

Volunteers logged over 18,000 hours in 2023, and we will thank them at a reception on February 2, 2024, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. More volunteers are always needed at Reiman Gardens! Regular opportunities exist as tour guides, butterfly wing docents, and gardeners. There is an immediate need for more butterfly docents, currently. What better way to spend your time than in the always-80-degree Butterfly Wing, surrounded by beautiful butterflies? You can learn about all of our volunteer opportunities at reimangardens.com/volunteer.
