MEMBER NEWSLETTER MARCH 2024
Dear Members,
I cannot believe it’s March already. I hope you all were able to enjoy the warm, sunny days that we were blessed with in February In my opinion, it’s been such a mild winter (besides the two intense snowstorms that happened in January). The sunshine and fresh air is so good for us, and there is so much to look forward to this spring!
Throughout March, we will be offering great programs such as “Yoga in the Gardens” and “Painting Inspired by Women Artists.” They’re the perfect way to celebrate spring approaching. Learn more about these fantastic programs and events by visiting our website here: www.reimangardens.com/events. Remember, members get special rates on programs, workshops, and classes.
We had an excellent turnout for our Orchid Fest Member Preview that was held in February. Exactly 200 members attended, and so many of you purchased such beautiful orchids. Logan Finch played wonderful music, and everyone got to indulge in fun treats and punch What a fun night that was! Did you know that in feng shui, orchids are considered one of the luckiest houseplants?

Reiman Gardens to rename popular pathway in honor of volunteers
Reiman Gardens is renaming a popular boardwalk within the gardens in honor of its volunteers. A special announcement regarding its renaming was made at Reiman Gardens’ annual Volunteer Appreciation Night on Friday, February 2, 2024. The pathway will be renamed the “Volunteer Legacy Boardwalk” in honor of the thousands of individuals who have contributed their time and efforts to make Reiman Gardens one of the top gardens in the Midwest over the last 29 years.
Approximately 100 individuals and members of various service groups attended the event, along with Reiman Gardens staff, who celebrated their achievements (including more than 18,000 hours of service time) over the last year. The night included a video and slide deck of various individual and group achievements, trivia, food, crafts, and a heartfelt thank you from outgoing director Ed Lyon.
Reiman Gardens is planning a ribbon-cutting ceremony later this year to commemorate the new pathway officially
