We can see the power and the hand of God in any situation. God can turn any test into a testimony! We know if God did it before, he can do it again. Our Testimonies glorify God!
Awesome and prayerful CD woman of God. I just purchased your prayer CD, “Prayers That Bombard Heaven.” I am beyond blessed by it. Thanks for all you do for the kingdom. Praise the Lord, Prophetess Kimberly Moses. I just had to testify that I woke up this morning with no burning or pain in my hands. Thank you so much for your prayers!! Thank you, Prophetess, for praying for me! I made it to Arizona and two days later landed an amazing job! I ap-
preciate you!! We are using, “In Right Standing: A Daily Devotional,” at my church in November and December. I just had a guy tell me last week that it was right on time for something he and his wife was seeking the Lord about in prayer. Stay encouraged! God’s timing is always better than ours. I was on LIVE with you for the first time today and you asked if anyone needed healing. I typed yes. You immediately spoke of cirrhosis. I was diagnosed in 2014 with biliary cirrhosis of liver. I am claiming my healing
today. You also stated someone was having trouble with gland on the right side that goes up to the ear and causes headaches. Well, no more pain! Thank you for listening to the Holy Spirit. I pray blessings over your life. Please continue to pray for me and my family. Hi Prophetess Kim! Hope all is well! Thanks for praying for headaches on periscope. Mine left instantly after having it three days straight! Praise Jesus! Good morning Prophetess, on Wednesday, September 13th on FB LIVE, you prophesied the

enemy was trying to sabotage me in some things concerning my finances but it wouldn’t work. For the past 6 months, I’ve been reporting to an office approximately 1.5 hours away from home, and spending an average of $290 every month on gas and tolls. On Thursday, November 9th, my supervisor told me I could start reporting to an office only 20 minutes away from home! So no more spending crazy money on gas and tolls, and I’m avoiding significant wear and tear on my car! Hello Prophetess! I pray all is well! So happy for you and to see it all coming together for you. Back in May you prophesied about me moving and things. One other thing you said was that people would begin to reach out to me to pray on their prayer lines and social media events. Well it has happened again. Some just said that God laid me on their heart to be a part of their call/periscope event. Well just wanted to give you my praise report. Well sis! Your prophecy came to pass. Finally, I got my man of God that sends me flowers. Good morning Prophetess! I was on your Facebook LIVE the other day and the Holy Spirit spoke through you and told me about a new title that I will have in the Fashion industry. You said to me that I will be a Creative Director for models in runway shows. Well guess what? I was just asked by the CEO of an International Fashion Showcase asked, “If I
would like to be the Creative Director.” I said Yes! God is good. Thank you, Prophetess, for allowing God to use you to be a blessing to his people. I really feel like I’m supposed to connect with you. You gave me a prophetic word today, thank you so much it was extremely encouraging. You prophesied to me about me releasing five books. I’m currently in the process of writing, and I’m definitely going to be connecting with you when my manuscript is completed. I also really feel a strong pull into the prophetic, the Lord also allowed you to talk about him giving me words of knowledge. Also about me ministering to abused women which is true and you said you saw me in a court yard which is true. I’m a clinical director at a juvenile detention center. I’m going back over the prophecy you gave me and usually God will say something that at the time doesn’t make sense to me then later on He will reveal the answer to me. Those tentacles that you saw the enemy sticking in me to suck the life out of me happened again today but I hadn’t come in contact with a witch this time. I can see that the enemy is trying to keep me from telling my testimony because he knows that it delivers. He tries to stop me from speaking period. To get him up off me I have to constantly praise and worship and the then he lets go. The higher I go the more warfare it is for me. I now know that I’m go-
ing to be warring in the spirit in advance before I hand those two books off because I understand so much more now. I also saw the principality that was attacking my body and had to take him down in the spirit. Hi Prophetess thank you sooo much this session was an extreme blessing and I’m grateful that I came on. Can you send me more information about partnering with your ministry as well as VIP? Kimberly Hargraves Ministries has been such a true blessing in my life. My family’s life has changed and is changing due to the great teachings. Yes, she is a real person, that lives a life of Holiness. I’ve had the pleasure of speaking with Prophetess Kimberly. She also practices what she preaches. Don’t forget to like and follow her Facebook page. (Raquel) Hey Prophetess, it’s Jerika. My nephew returned to football, just as you prophesied he would on July 14th’s Prophetic Miracle Call. He attended practice today. To God be the Glory! I waited until baseball season was over on Sunday, and then on Monday, I showed him the YouTube video of the prophecy. He said he believed it was God! This morning he went to practice. (Jerika)

GOD, I’M TIRED OF PRAYING FOR HIM! Mae Blooms
God, I’m just sick and tired. It’s been so long and I just don’t feel like praying for my husband anymore!” Now many of you may be looking confused or might even toot your nose up at that statement, but before you do - remember we are all human! Even though
the majority of the wives reading this are Christian, the pain that comes along with standing for your marriage is intense, to say the least. And yes, sometimes it wears on you and makes you tired of praying, especially when it seems they sincerely enjoy their sin and have no plans of ever changing.
To the wife that has been praying, fasting, waiting, giving, growing, serving and has gotten tired of praying over and over and over and over and over and over again about the same thing - don’t give up yet, beloved! Keep in mind that sin is pleasurable for a moment, but in the end, it
21
22
REJOICE ESSENTIAL MAGAZINE DECEMBER 2017
gives birth to death. You have the opportunity to stand in the gap for your husband’s soul. Don’t waste it! God isn’t slack concerning His promises - some of us are just more stubborn than others, but thank God He doesn’t just leave us because of that!
answer to your prayer. But for twenty-one days the spirit prince of the kingdom of Persia blocked my way. Then Michael, one of the archangels, came to help me, and I left him there with the spirit prince of the kingdom of Persia”. - Daniel 10:12&13 NLT
Think about it - you haven’t always done what God has said the very first time He said it to you, so be gracious with your hubby and trust that God, who knitted him together in his mother’s womb, loves him way more than you ever could and is devising ways for him to come to true repentance!
Well, the same goes for every wife that is praying for an unsaved, wayward husband stuck in rebellion. The enemy may try to hold your prayers up, but you’ve gotta dig your heels in and keep on fighting the good fight of faith through prayer, fasting, and spiritual growth. There’s so much at stake if you decide to stop now. What will be the legacy left for your children? Even if your husband never comes to God, at least your children will have an example of what the love of God truly looks like in marriage.
You can rest assured that your prayers are being heard and that God cares! It is the enemy that wants you to stop praying and just give up because, after all, the prayers of the righteous prevails much! If you stop praying even for a day, that leaves space for the enemy to gain a stronger hold on you and your husband. Don’t allow the enemy to play with your mind by telling you that your prayers aren’t working and that God doesn’t care because you know in your heart that is a lie from the pit of hell. Do you remember the story of Daniel and how his prayers were held up for 21 days? “Then he said, “Don’t be afraid, Daniel. Since the first day you began to pray for understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your request has been heard in heaven. I have come in
I know you may feel weary, but God’s daughters don’t lean on feelings- we lean on His word! It gets very heavy at times, but God is using that to grow you, mature you and prepare you for heaven. Continue trusting God because He has great plans for your life and nothing you endure will be wasted. Many wives are experiencing emotional distress, financial hardship, strained parent/child relationships, clasped health and so much more. Let us agree in prayer that God will strengthen them in every way as they wait patiently on the Lord.
Father God, we come together thanking you for the good plans that you have for us. We thank you that even now in what seems like the lowest place in our lives that you are with us and care deeply about everything that concerns us. Thank you for working all things together for our good and teaching us how to be unmovable in our faith in Jesus name we pray, it is so! Be encouraged, Mae www.thebetterwifeproject.com

PASTOR MARTY CAMPBELL Interviewed By Quiana Robinson Quiana: On behalf of Prophetess Kimberly and Tron Moses, I am happy to be interviewing you, Pastor Marty Campbell. Can you start off by telling us how you got started in ministry? Pastor Marty Campbell: Well I got started in ministry because I was raised in ministry all of my life. From my father being a pastor, my mother being a minister, and my grandfather being a professional gospel singer along with my father. Ministry has been a part of my life. It’s been in my bloodstream. I grew up in church, so it was just a natural process in transitioning into ministry. When it came to growing into different roles, things were not foreign to me as far as ministry and church. They only became new when I went to another church. Like when I went to college in another state and then moving to another state after college. I’ve never been a stranger to the ministry. I know some people start in ministry from the outside looking in, but I guess it’s a privilege having parents, friends, and uncles in the ministry who serve as pastors because nothing concerning
ministry is new to you. So pretty much I got started in ministry because I was born into it. Quiana: What an awesome background. You have a book called “Six Ways to Mastering Your Vision.” What is “vision,” and why is it important? Pastor Marty Campbell: We have to have vision because we were all placed on this earth to fulfill a purpose. God has given us all a purpose. God will give us visions so that we are not just wandering here on the earth without being able to encourage, empower, and impart into someone else’s life. We all come from different backgrounds, but the vision God has given you is for you as well as for someone else. Vision is not selfish, but it is to impact the masses. Whether it’s for fifteen, twenty people, guess what? That is the masses because that number multiplies. I wrote the book because I was coming from several perspectives. [In] the first perspective, I wrote it because I see so many of our older leaders in church have a vision but [without] the edu-
cational portion of that vision. Especially when dealing with those that are 70 years and older - they just don’t have the educational side on how to bring the vision about. They can pray and speak in tongues but after you get finished praying heaven down, who can go in the office and help the administration and [other] functions of the church after everyone gets up from dancing and laying on the altar. The totality of the vision is more than just people singing, dancing, speaking in tongues and falling out. The totality of the vision is can you administer what God has given you? I’m a physical therapist so looking at the major parts of the body is so important. We have the brain, we have the lungs, we have the kidneys, [and we] have the heart. Those are important because each part plays a significant role in the body. Looking at the brain means that you need people who have more brains than you to keep the vision moving forward. You can’t be the only one to have all the brains. The lungs are the people who can bring you a breath of fresh
23
24
REJOICE ESSENTIAL MAGAZINE DECEMBER 2017
air because vision can be costly. You need people who can bring a breath of fresh air and relief to the body and the vision. The heart keeps all the blood flowing through the entire body. You need to have people that are going to do whatever it takes to make sure the vision [is realized] . You have to have people who share your heart and your agenda that will push you forward and not have any secret motives.
Then you have the kidneys. They make sure they flush things out. You need someone that is willing to be your sergeant at arms. Someone who is able to say, “Hey, this is not working. We need to go in a different direction.” You need someone that is willing to challenge you, but not come against you. Someone that is able to help you look at the direction you’re going in because they want to make sure that the vision prospers and is successful. Then you have the liver which filters out all the waste. You have
to have people that are willing to tell you, “Hey, this has to got to go this is not going to work.” Your liver is really like your voice. You need someone to say, “Hey, we can’t take it anymore. The ship is about to die”. I took the concept of the book from the medical field and what I see every day. In the vision, even as a business leader, it is very important that you apply these things to your life whether it be your business or personal life. Quiana: Wow. Amen I really enjoyed listening to how you use your profession to give you revelation on the scripture concerning the church being one body and many parts. Now you see many of the members of the body of Christ working together or being able to realize that we need each other. It could be a mixture of the spirit of pride or division. How do we as the body of Christ overcome these spirits that try and keep us bound and coveting what someone else has and being unable to flourish in our own purpose and calling? Pastor Marty Campbell: Number one we have to understand that we have a purpose and that we are helpers, one to another. Jesus said that “the world will know that you are my disciples when you exemplify love to one another.” We have to understand we are not in this thing all by ourselves. We may have a vision but there is an ultimate purpose and goal. When it comes down to it, when we stand before God, what will He say to us concerning our brother or our neighbor?
REJOICE ESSENTIAL MAGAZINE DECEMBER 2017
What will He say to us concerning fellowship? What will He say? We never think about that. As far as the individual to press through that regardless if they have assistance or not. I preached a message before [about] when Jesus walked on the water [from] Matthew chapter 14. Before He walked on water, he told his disciples to go ahead and get to the other side and He will finish dealing with the people. Following Jesus instructions, they got in the boat and are in the middle of the sea. The bible says that the waves began to toss and slam up against the ship. The winds began to blow contrarily. It began to get kind of heavy. They looked out and began to see Jesus walking on the water but they didn’t recognize him. We must first understand when God gives us instructions, in the process of the instructions, we are going to have some waves. We are going to have some strong winds. We are going to have some opposition. We are going to have some challenges. We must recognize Jesus when He shows up. I am just laying some foundation. In the process when they did recognize Jesus, Peter said, “Lord, if it’s you then allow me to come.” Jesus said come. Then Peter steps out of the boat and began to walk towards Jesus. But what happened is that he took his eyes off Jesus and started looking around. Here’s the revelation: he started looking at how to get to Jesus with a worldly mentality. You can’t deal with
God with a worldly mentality. God is a spirit. Those that worship him, must worship Him in spirit and in truth. The first thing is to keep your eyes on Jesus through the process of a storm. The second thing is if you have to walk alone, if you have to help people all by yourself, you can’t be afraid to be alone. That’s very important. The third thing is that when you are doing something, you have to know when God shows up. The fourth thing is that you can’t have unbelievers with you trying to fulfil the purpose and the vision that God has giving you. Quiana: I am gathering what you are saying that to overcome the
lack of wanting to work together as a team, you can’t allow it to stop you from doing what God has called you to do. Pastor Marty Campbell: You can’t become self-centered. The moment that you become self-centered, you become selfrighteous. When you get selfrighteous, it will be all about me, me, me. Not, us, us, us. Quiana: We are going to shift gears into the matters of the heart topics that you discussed. You have another book called, “The Principles of Dating.” What qualities should someone look for in a potential spouse? Pastor Marty Campbell: People
25
26
REJOICE ESSENTIAL MAGAZINE DECEMBER 2017
in church and out of church first looks for someone who is physically attractive. The first thing that you should look at is that are you able to have a decent conversation that deals with life. If you listen to a person talk, then it will tell you who they are and what they are in the first ten minutes of the conversation. Are they able to put together a subject verb agreement? When people have dating on their minds, they should be thinking about their future. If you are going to date someone, are you willing to be with someone when they open their mouths? Will they embarrass you? A lot of people become foolish by not what they do but by what they say or how they say what they say. We have to look at some of the natural things. If a person can’t be wholesome in the natural, then how do you expect for them to be wholesome spiritually. Life has to be balanced both spiritually and naturally. Dating starts with a conversation. Can we have a conversation? There are a lot of couples in church that can’t have a conversation in their marriage. They don’t have basic general conversation. The conversation is so spiritual that you can’t even have a natural conversation. The bible says this or that. Well, I don’t always need you to tell me what the bible says. What about us talking about the stock market or us hanging out? Can we talk about what happened today or what’s going on in the world? We have to prepare ourselves for this.
Quiana: That’s good. I am seeing what you are saying in the body of Christ. A lot of times when we do give our lives to the Lord, we can struggle with wanting to spiritualize everything. However as Christians, we can still enjoy everyday life and talk about everyday affairs as long as its holy. We don’t have to spiritualize everything. Then we can actually enjoy each other in our marriage. That’s awesome. Are there any other qualities that we should be looking for? Pastor Marty Campbell: When you have a conversation, do they really match up to who you are? You should never receive anything that is less than what you are. They don’t have to have as much money as you have but the quality, gentleness, and [presence] of that person will make up for that. That’s what makes the person human. It’s not the money, houses or the cars, but the quality of the person. What characteristic do you have that when I sit down and talk to you in private, I am happy with you in public? I tell people all the time to look for a person that is equal to them. Equal means they carry the quality that you are willing to die for. Another thing is that when a man or woman sit down at the table and have a discussion based on dating, they should discuss why are we sitting here having this conversation in the first place? What are we looking at? Now, I know we aren’t trying to rushing into marriage. Are we
wasting our time just to be with one another? Do we have any foresight or outlook in making a commitment? Dating means to prepare yourself for commitment; preparing for marriage. This is where the conversations come in. This is where the dos and don’ts are discussed. This is where you find out if you really want to be committed to this person; before God in covenant and before man on a paper. Quiana: There’s an old saying, “God doesn’t give you what you want, He gives you what you need.” It’s specific to the church. Can you share your opinions on this? Pastor Marty Campbell: That’s a twofold answer. Number one, that’s true. Number two, there’s a part that we leave out. Matthew 6:33 says, “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” A lot of people never find out what they want until they get what they need. God will give you what you want when you seek him first. He will fulfil the desires of your heart. The desires of your heart will be his heart. We short change ourselves when we try to overtake God. Therefore, we want this but we have left God out of our wants. A lot of people don’t know what they want until they get it. John 16:23 says, “Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.” If you live right, God will give you what you want. After he gives you what you want, you
REJOICE ESSENTIAL MAGAZINE DECEMBER 2017
have to be a good steward over it. Wants are not a bad thing as long as you are willing to be held accountable over what He has giving you. We leave that part of the conversation out. Quiana: That’s good. I am so glad that you expanded on that. I know it’s going to bless someone. I talked to so many people. From these old sayings, “God will give you want you need, not what you want” and “What if God gives you someone that’s not physically attractive or someone you may not get along with but that’s what God wants for you,” so many women decided that they do not want to wait and believe God for the right spouse out of fear that God would send someone they would not like and they would feel trapped. I am glad that you expanded on that because so many people are ready to give up and not believe that God will give them what they want concerning a spouse. Pastor Marty Campbell: Right. I had this conversation with several young ladies here on my job. I talked with them. They work in different departments that isn’t a professional department, but they have to carry themselves in a professional way. Every job has professionalism. I don’t care if you are a truck driver or trash can driver, there is professionalism on the job. These women work in housekeeping in the hospital. Several of them want a husband. In our conversations, I said, “If you a dating a man, he can be the sweetest thing to you
in the world but if you are not physically attracted to him, then you are going to suffer. Your eyes and your flesh will not allow you to get over that when you are not truly happy. You must be truly happy with the person you are with. People can say beauty runs skin deep and that’s true. You have to realize about the days when you find yourself mad, upset, and angry with him or with her because physically they weren’t really what you wanted in the first place. Your emotions may cause you to say something that you didn’t mean in the first place and you can really hurt somebody. Once those words come out, you can’t pull them back.” With life and dating you have to look at the whole picture. We are instructed to not go into relationships or marriages without counseling or spiritual advice - without guidance. That’s why it is so important that if you are going to have a relationship, you need a prayer life with God. So we can hear something. Quiana: There is another phenomenon going on in the body of Christ both men and women have come in contact or been affected by it (maybe been a little bit discouraged by it) called “The God told me you’re my wife or husband” situation. What are some ways that we can really figure out outside of prayer, fasting, counseling, if a person has been sent by God as far as a spouse or dating relationship? Pastor Marty Campbell: It goes back to number one. You have
to have a conversation with the person you are with. Whether you are in the church or outside of church, you need to ask, “What vision do you have?” and “Where are you trying to lead me?” It’s not about bringing something to the table. You can bring something to the table and have no vision. You can have stuff going on but you really don’t have a destination and be blind. Hoarders have a bunch of stuff but it doesn’t mean they are wealthy. They are just pulling in a bunch of stuff and storing it up. You have a whole bunch of people in relationships who are just hoarders. When it comes to “God says you are my wife or husband,” a woman has no business telling a man that he is her husband. That’s not biblical. For a woman who says, “You are my husband,” that conversation carries dynamic in the spirit realm. She is saying, “Okay. I am going to cover you husband.” Quiana: Wow. Wow. Wow. That’s good. That’s revelation! Pastor Marty Campbell: 2 Chronicles 7:14 says, “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” Number one. We are the church. We are the bride of Christ. When was the last time you see a man take on the last name of a woman? God made the woman take on the man’s last name. He is now
27
28
REJOICE ESSENTIAL MAGAZINE DECEMBER 2017
responsible and he is covering you. Anytime a woman is telling a man [he’s her] husband, it’s because of desperation and ignorance. It’s not the devil dealing with you. It’s your flesh. It’s your ignorance and your emotions that’s clouding your ability to rightly judge yourself. For men that tell women, “You are my wife,” the first thing you have to check is your flesh issues. Make sure that you aren’t so horny because a woman is so fine and she looks so good and that’s all you can think about. What happens is your hormones are aroused. Your hormones got you thinking about what you are going to do with her in bed. You have no love in your heart. You have no desire to commit. By the time you have sex and the thrill is gone, it’s not coming back because your thrill was only for that moment. In the heat of the moment, people will say and do anything. The church must deal with that in its raw form. They need to have a conversation that’s talked about. People must give their experiences and say this is the result of what happens when you operate out of ignorance and in your flesh. A lot of people don’t understand. Here is one of the truths of the matter: there are people who have married the wrong people because the man said you are my wife. What happens is that they won’t go to hell but they live with that judgment over their life. There are consequences and payments for judgments. Quiana: Wow. Oh my goodness.
I never heard this before. This is good revelation. Pastor Marty Campbell: Just like a car is being repossessed. The repossession came because of the judgment the judge gave. But guess what? You never go to jail. You are responsible for not paying for the car. I will deal with the very thing that you didn’t pay for or not responsible for. Number one, you should’ve known that you couldn’t handle before you got into it. You should’ve thought, “Do I really want to get into this?” There are judgments
and consequences for not thinking things through before they happen. Quiana: Wow. That’s amazing. That is a great revelation on that issue. I never heard before, from the woman getting out of position and covering the man to getting somebody else’s judgments just by being in the wrong relationships. We have to be very cautious and observant in the process of dating. It’s more than just what a lot of people have trivialized because the matters of
REJOICE ESSENTIAL MAGAZINE DECEMBER 2017
the heart are important to God. A lot of people feel like God doesn’t want to be involved in the matters of the heart or who you choose as your spouse. But he does because that is connected to your life, purpose, and destiny. It takes one wrong relationship to cause you to miss out on so much of what God has. I think these are some great tips that are going to really be a blessing to the readers. What are some of your teachings on the prophetic?
or employed at the bank. Someone has giving you a gift. All money comes through the bank and through the treasury department. It’s a gift.
Pastor Marty Campbell: I have another book that I am currently writing called, “Mastering the Prophetic.” This book entails of the different 40 day fasts that the Lord had me on.
We must first recognize those with the gift of prophecy compared to those who walk in the office of a prophet. The office of a prophet can deal with government. You are assigned to different geographical locations or regional place. The prophet can always go into the mind of God and give a word in season and out of season. Prophecy can only come forth when it’s released. A prophet can go to sleep, wake up and give you a word. Prophets can stop in the middle of what they are doing and give you a word. They already have the authority because they are connected to the mind and to the heart of God. The danger is that people must understand the totality of the prophecy and the prophets. There’s a total difference.
Quiana: What is the difference between someone with the gift of prophecy compared to someone who walks in the office of a prophet? Pastor Marty Campbell: Prophecy is where the spirit of God can simply speak to you at any giving time and give you information on what someone has been through; information on what someone is dealing with; information on what someone is about to encounter. That’s all prophecy is. Anybody can prophesy. Anything on this earth can prophesy. It comes down to are we really hearing or seeing God in that form or fashion? The gift of prophecy is not restricted. Just because you receive a gift of five hundred dollars doesn’t mean that you work at the bank
You can walk through the atmosphere of the prophetic in a church and you can begin to prophesy. You can go around someone who is a prophet and begin to prophesy. Once the anointing for prophecy has lifted, then the person may not hear anything else.
There are judgments too that the office carries. If you are in the office of a prophet and you prophesy something that you aren’t supposed to say, then God is going to deal with you. If you
aren’t a prophet and just trying to prophesy and you miss the word of the Lord, then you are just going to embarrass yourself and they won’t have you back at their church. The office carries a life and death sentence. Proverbs 18:21 says, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.” That scripture becomes more activated and alive in the mouth of a true prophet, whether they are in sin or in the Lord. A lot of prophets don’t live for God, such as psychics. A lot of psychics are really prophets but they work for Baal or Satan. They can tell you your future because they are operating out of a gift that has become perverse. The gift has become tainted and God has nothing to do with that. The gifts and calls are without repentance. You are now free to operate but there is a will that we must always operate in what God has given us. Quiana: Amen. Those answers include some awesome revelation on the prophetic. Now we are seeing such a big revival in the prophetic and there have been so many teachings on the gift of prophecy and the office of the prophet. Can you tell us how one can grow in their prophetic gift? Pastor Marty Campbell: They need to be under a seasoned prophet that carries a “father,” or mentoring, anointing. Not every prophet can father a young prophet, because of the authority of the office. Prophets can be
29
30
REJOICE ESSENTIAL MAGAZINE DECEMBER 2017
independent. They can be kind of uppity when you don’t catch yourself and realize, “Hey, it’s not about the gift that I operate in, but my character must also be in place”. If possible, they need to seek out training in a School of the Prophets. I have a School of the Prophets. Elijah and Elisha had a School of the Prophets, but they were selective. The prophetic must be protected at all cost. It’s easy to teach anyone how to hear the voice of God. That’s called activation. Activation is so easy to train. You can train children to hear the voice of God. They may not have any understanding, but they can follow directions. So what must happen in order to get into the school is you have to be selective. What I do is I pray and God will show me some of the student’s shouldn’t be there. So I tell them not to take it personal but God is saving their life. To be in the office of the prophet you have to be qualified for the suffering that comes along with that anointing. If you are not qualified for the suffering, how are you going to operate in that gift or office? The largest class I have ever had was 25 students because I am able to do different things with them and break them into groups. Once you go into the School of the Prophets, you will experience things you never heard or saw before. There are questions that are answered in the school that requires focus and submission. You must be submitted to God in order to
walk in the office of the prophet. You must be willing to sacrifice time spent with family in order to spend time with God because Satan has his prophets and they don’t care about what you have. They don’t care about your money, they don’t care about how big your church is, they don’t care about where you come from, and they don’t care who your pastor is. It’s all out warfare when you begin to operate under the calling and anointing of God. The first thing we must do is make sure we are not the devil’s device. The scripture tells us not be ignorant of the devil’s devices. It’s very serious. The School is a place of safety. You can be stretched and are free to make mistakes. It’s a place where you’re learning because people are coming to you and the word that is in your mouth is going to save their life. The bible says when David was running from Saul, he went down to Ramah. He went down to the School of the Prophets which was in Naioth. Naioth was the School of the Prophets. Naioth is the name of my school. When Saul sent a band of men to go down there to seek after David, they began to prophesy. When Saul got word, he sent another group of men down there. They also began to prophesy. Saul got upset. He goes himself and he began to prophesy. What happened was that David got under the word of God that saved his life. The prophets carry the word of God in their mouth. What’s in the prophet’s mouth will save
people’s lives or kill them. This is what made Samuel so great in his tutelage because he saved the king that was sent from God. Notice, there was never a hit out on Saul’s life. The hit was out on David’s life. Saul’s enemies were just the Philistines and Amalekites. He had his army to fight them. When the hit is out on you from someone that is close to you, who will you go to for protection from the very one that you may live in the house with. That’s why this is important when we are talking about those with the gift of prophecy compared to those in the office of a prophet. The School of the Prophets is not seminary, bible college, or bible class. It’s a total different operation and function. Quiana: Wow. That’s good. I loved how you emphasis on how you have to carry an oil to be a spiritual parent. We know that R.C. Blakes is your spiritual father. How would someone know who their spiritual parents are in the faith? People can be wolves in sheep’s clothing. There could be people who are not really looking out for your best interest. Pastor Marty Campbell: My true spiritual parents in the prophetic are my pastors back in San Diego, California. I was at that church for seven years. I was faithful. I was armor bearer to this one pastor until the Lord told me to leave. At that church in the services, I would find myself always prophesying. I
REJOICE ESSENTIAL MAGAZINE DECEMBER 2017
would see things and wouldn’t understand them until later, even as a child. When I finally left, I went to where my spiritual parents were in another city. The Lord told me it was time to leave. After sitting there for three weeks, this is where he told me to come. We talked and they wanted to make sure that I was sure. I told them yes and I sat for two-and-a-half years. I didn’t say anything. I didn’t prophesy. I would preach but didn’t prophesy. Everything I heard, I wrote it down. They were training me to be grounded, rooted, disciplined, and to know that I am hearing from God; also to be able to see and recognize people and personalities when they came in. That would sharpen the gift. There would be a moment that they would practice with me and ask what I was seeing. They already knew what he was saying. The practice was one on one. God already gave them a glimpse of where I would be. The first service where they allowed me to go forth and prophesy is where I had been on a 40 day fast. When they took the chains and the breaks, my pastor said to me on that Sunday morning, “You are preaching at the Pentecost Service tonight.” I said, “Huh. Tonight?” My first sermon that I ever preached in my adult life was on a Sunday morning in front of five hundred people. It couldn’t be a trial sermon. I had to come with it on my first sermon. The pastor told me to allow the Lord to use me that night. There were about three hundred
people there in that Pentecost service. Everything that I had learned, the belief, the faith, that I was knowing that I was hearing from God, I wasn’t second guessing when I was up ministering. That’s when I was solidified and gained the confidence that this is where the Lord really has me at. My experience with the 40 day fast took me through another wilderness experience in the spirit realm. There were things that I had seen in the spirit where I was being translated inside of people’s homes. I was able to tell them the conversation that they had. A lot of people do 31 day fast at the beginning of the year. Some do seven day fasts. The Lord put me on a 40 day fast. He guided me on each day
of the fast: what to eat and what not to eat. I was working a full time job when the Lord spoke to me to do this fast. I was thinking how I was going to get through a 40 day fast when I work a full time job. I was a cop in San Diego, California. I was running down gangsters, mafia, gang bangers, and crips and bloods. I was dealing with dead bodies and people with problems. I was in charge of a canine. The Lord had to strategically take me on this journey. I realized that it was all because of what he had me to do. It was necessary. I had to be broken and stripped of being in a natural mindset that would offend and affect the ministry that God has called me too.

It didn’t stop there. I had to go through another series of 40 day fasting. On the night of Pentecost, the Lord had me to call out 30 people to prophesy to them everything that was going on with them in that moment. There were demons manifesting. Bodies were being elevated and being lifted off the ground. When God has a work for you to do, he will take you through a long breaking. I can understand why Moses had to spend his time on the back side of the mountain. He had to be broken out of his will in order to stand face to face with God. The great wasn’t leading the people across the desert but to stand in front of the Red Sea and see it open up. That’s why Moses had to be broken: to believe that the Red Sea could be opened up. Even if the Red Sea didn’t open up, the people could’ve left out of Egypt easily. Pharoah could’ve said, “I am tired of you people. Get out of here.” The greatest faith was for Moses to maintain. He said, “Lord, these people want to kill me.” God told him to lift up his staff. Then he saw the Red Sea open up. A lot of people need seas opened up but how many of us are willing to be broken so we can go help someone to get across Egypt. That night when I go back and look at it, it was the Holy Ghost. God used me. My father passed in 2014. A few months before that I gave him a DVD of the services and he didn’t watch it. Then one day he
said, “Son, the anointing that you carry, God stripped that from me and put it on you because I was disobedient.” Since then it’s been a journey. It’s been a series of certain challenges, tasks, and things I had to overcome. It comes along with the office and the anointing you carry. The bible says “make your call and election sure” because you have to be qualified for the suffering. They need to be properly trained in school because it breaks your will. You find out if you really want to walk this walk. You find out if you are really about this life. Quiana: Wow. That’s powerful. That’s so true. Pastor Marty Campbell: School of the prophets is important because you learn things. We see a lot of prophets, some older and some younger. They give the word of the Lord but without the proper training and tutelage, you are missing another element of the ministry that God has giving you. You will miss another elevation that God will release on you. God won’t release nothing on you if you aren’t qualified and ready to handle it. When I was watching Bishop R. C. Blakes, God gave me peace about it. He is a prophet. You have to be wise enough to know those people who will be able to father you with love and the right way. They [have to] want to be your father and not just say I have a son. They want to be responsible for you. I also have another
spiritual father that is a Bishop in Shreveport, Louisiana. He is the third presiding Bishop in the Full Gospel Baptist fellowship. He is a prophet also. Just to have those two men and to be able to fellowship with them as fathers, it keeps me grounded, encouraged, and with fresh direction. He doesn’t talk often but whenever we have an encounter, my Bishop pours into me like a father would do a son. R.C. Blakes understands vision and ministry. He is not about holding anybody back. He will show you how to do it and how to get there. Then he will give you an opportunity to prove your faithfulness to God. That’s how it came about when I choose R.C. Blakes. The truth of the matter, he choose me. I didn’t choose him. He allowed me to come in. Then with our relationship, I was able to meet Pastor D. Louis. We have been best friends since we were young boys.
Quiana: That’s awesome. Well thank you so much Pastor Marty. This interview has been filled with so much revelation. I just have been blown away and had so many Selah moments in the time that I have been listening to you share and impart wisdom. Pastor Marty Campbell: I really appreciate the opportunity.

FAITH FASHION By Shirley Cooper
REJOICE ESSENTIAL MAGAZINE DECEMBER 2017
Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. (Ephesians 6:11) Ever seen a runway? It’s a long walk through an audience awaiting to see the most incredible styles in a world of fashion. However, there are some clothes that aren’t as appealing as we’d like to see. There are thousands of designers, each with their own ideas - some elaborate, while others simple, some with a taste of vintage, some of today’s funky, pop culture, and some are literally out of this world. I once saw a picture of a designer’s idea on a runway. It actually looked like something out of a crazy sci-fi movie. I couldn’t fathom how this particular designer actually made it through the glitzy, GLAM doors. But he sure enough did and sold every outfit. When your clothes are made of duct tape and glue, your mind should be put under a scope. I say that with a giggle and a few sips of wine. Fashion comes and goes. There are times when years will pass and the “once was” design makes a comeback far from yesterday’s news. It develops a bigger audience through the newer vision of a more fashionable generation like today. I was always into fashion and always created my own, no matter what weight I carried. I just loved to dress. However, when I did carry a lot of weight after my third baby, I just didn’t feel the drive to dress. I felt weighed down and therefore refused to dress up. When my fourth child was born, I had lost much weight. My desire was rekindled and that fire burning deep inside me was brought back with a greater need to escape my boring wardrobe. I believe that’s why my youngest daughter, Mercy (who is now a young fashion designer), loves
to dress and experiment She is a spitting image of me. A little girl who loved to dress from the time she could walk. Her young mind made her own discoveries, and as she grew, so did her designs. From making outfits out of sheets, to head gear out of old rugged and stained t-shirts. She became a fashion genius on her own runway. While worldly fashion is fun and incredibly taken in by the masses, it is not as vital as the fashion God calls us to. The Lord calls us to clothe ourselves in something far greater than any piece on the shelves of your local mall stores. The world is our runway, and the enemy is on the prowl, just waiting for us to trip or fall. God protects us with instructions that will dress us up during our strut through this cold and empty place. A place where the enemy awaits us. The Lord calls His children to clothe themselves in full armor: Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand (Ephesians 6:13). Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, (Ephesians 6:14). He has even asked us to dress our feet: and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace (Ephesians 6:15). Even teaching us to put on a shield that will protect us from weapons formed. In addition to all this, to take up the shield of faith with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one (Ephesians 6:16). Our Father has dressed us up from head to toe, giving us the power to defeat the devil. He’s even given us a sword, making us true warriors in a battle already
won: Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God (Ephesians 6:17). Unlike the thread of this world, Gods handmade power is woven through every piece of our journey. He uses a fabric that covers us in a protection and love not found on this earth. When I glance at fashion today, I see a beauty that inspires me to create my own vision of what dress up should be. But when I look deeply into God’s vision of what dress up should be, I am floored. I can literally feel the comfort of His warm embrace and the power of His mighty right hand. I am then able to tiptoe through the rugged jungles of life without fear, at times envisioning myself in a waist deep mud of problems without worry of what the outcome may be. I bathe myself in God’s wardrobe so that I may be able to withstand the arrows that come my way. Although there are times when I can feel the pressure of the many things that I face, I think about Solomon in all his splendor: Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these (Matthew 6:29). I am then able to get up and walk again. I am able to face anything that comes my way. My Father dresses me in His finest designs, making sure that I do not lack in anything. No matter how little my faith can get, He protects me still. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, you of little faith? (Matthew 6:30) Whenever I am ready to go out, whether to the store, a party, work, or church, I find myself searching my closet for the perfect outfit. I grab, toss, and grab
41

REJOICE ESSENTIAL MAGAZINE DECEMBER 2017
some more. I place, I replace, I spin, and pose for myself, just to get the right look. Most of my time is spent in a mirror trying to figure out which hat goes with what or which purse and shoes match. It’s definitely a closet battle that I’m not ready to give up. God’s plan to dress us up is far greater than what we deal with in the mirror, on a daily, and what time is spent in that room. Gods clothing line last forever. “And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin (Matthew 6:28). So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ (Matthew 6:31) I know that even after reading this, most of us will still hang out in our closet for hours just to get spiffy for a 45 minute date, one hour event, or a 30 minute sermon. We probably won’t even mind dancing in front of a mirror or in a small four wall dressing room in our favorite store, trying to get to the right dress or suit. That’s just life. It’s not like we want to wave that white flag in the air surrendering to the “simplicity” of plain Jane or barbecue Bobby. We want to be able to thrust forward, or backwards. in finding the perfect outfit for what some of us consider our everyday lifestyle. When I examine the way that we are as a people in search of good, quality designs, I rediscover who I should truly be in this lost world. It really isn’t to hold up a sign to higher standards or to quench my burning desire to wear the latest trends or hottest funky styles, but rather to serve God wholeheartedly and under no circumstance compromise that faith. I love dressing in clothes that I put together. I enjoy the feel of certain fabrics and the many designs that make my wardrobe
a place of stranger things. Hence, the diamond, spiked, heelless shoes, the Converse, the Red Rhino sneakers, the Harley Davidson biker boots, the jean and denim covered wedges, etc that fill my “run to” spot in any situation that creeps up. That is my private stash whenever I feel that tugging. But God makes all that small. He provides a peace in the brokenness, and a strength that refuses to back down when I am faced with the chaos of the world I’m surrounded by. He is my Rock and my Savior. When the runway holds millions of ideas to how someone should look, God’s journey takes me to levels no man can comprehend. He dresses me in fine jewels and fathers me through the toughest of times. He is the Creator of a more valuable runway that is not even found on the face of this earth. I know that in all my steps, I will always discover God in new ways. He will walk before me in all that I do and He will never put me in harm’s way. God is my Runway Coach, the greatest designer I will ever encounter, and my bestest friend and teacher. Today, don’t just crawl on that weary runway........RUN! RUN TO GOD! Give everything that you have into His hands where the grip is like no other. Where nothing slips through but rather is molded in. You’ve been placed in the fire, refining and baptizing you to become an ultimate victory. Allow Him to walk you through every day, nurturing your gifts and unfolding your destiny. Because you weren’t made to walk. You were made to fly!

GOD’S ULTIMATE OBJECTIVE TO PREPARE US TO BE IN HIS PRESENCE FOR AN ETERNITY By Melinda Roberts
At one time you were separated [alienated; estranged] from God. You were his enemies in your minds, and the evil things you did were against God [or because of your evil deeds]. But now God has made you his friends again [reconciled you] through Christ’s death in the body [his physical body; the body of his flesh], so that he might bring you into God’s presence as people who are holy, with no wrong [without blemish, as were sacrificial animals], and with nothing of which God can judge you
guilty [blameless; innocent; free of accusation]. This will happen if you continue strong [grounded; established] and sure [firm; steadfast] in your faith. You must not be moved [shift; drift] away from the hope brought to you by [or found in; of] the Good News [the Gospel] that you heard. That same Good News [Gospel] has been told [preached; proclaimed] to everyone [ every creature; or in all creation] in the world [ under heaven], and I, Paul, help in preaching [ am a servant/minister of] it.
-Colossians 1:21-23 Expanded Bible (EXB) If you have walked with God for any length of time, you have learned, for sure, that God’s timing, ways, and thoughts differ from ours (Isaiah 55:8-9). For me, messages about God “causing us to be what He called us to be” that came across the pulpit made me think that if I pursued God, went to church, paid my tithes and offerings, and positioned myself for purpose, everything would just fall into place. I got
43
44
REJOICE ESSENTIAL MAGAZINE DECEMBER 2017
the impression that my dealings with God were just a continuous “give and take” relationship, much like the relationship we have with an ATM machine… make a deposit, get a withdrawal. Although there is definite truth to this rationale, I was not clearly taught that God was going to root some things out of me before He deposited into me, qualifying me to fulfill all that He placed me in the earth to accomplish. Whereas I did not have an opportunity before I gave my life to Christ to get tainted with the ways of the world, God wanted to deliver me from some impediments that were deeply rooted in my DNA and lineage, impurities beyond my control and knowledge. He had to deal with my internal pain, my attitude about negative experiences, and so much more. I was excited and ready to be mightily used by this amazing God who I realized, at the time of salvation, had already done more for me than I could ever repay. I thought I was okay, but God knew that I was not. There were so many deep scars, wounds, and insecurities that were imbedded within me through no fault of my own, but were present nonetheless. I thought that God’s mindset was solely about preparing me to be used. I did not know, at that time, that our God is such a meticulous, strategic God that He will take the time to masterfully prepare us to not only fulfill our destiny on earth, but to fulfill His destiny for us in eternity as well. Whenever I think about God’s method of preparing us, I am reminded of what Jesus did with the two fish and five loaves of bread to feed over 5,000 people; He blessed it, broke it, and gave it (Luke 24:30). Subsequently, that is the same way God deals with us today. If you do not embrace this mentality, you will
spend a great deal of time being frustrated and thinking that God is punishing you for some horrendous sin that you committed and that He no longer loves you. The enemy will have a field day with your mind, harassing you about the endless possibilities of why you are being “tested by fire”. Astonishingly, God may remain completely quiet but will strengthen you (1 Peter 5:10). This is God’s method of helping us to trust when we can’t hear, feel, or recognize His movement, as we had become so accustomed to in the past. Additionally, pressure produces the oil in of our lives, refines us and continuously purifies us (Job 23:10). When all is said and done, God’s ultimate objective is for us to find rest in Him (Hebrews 4:10-11). It is His desire for us to flow with His “unforced rhythm of grace” (Matthew 11:28 MSG). Over my consistent years of trials, tribulations, and triumphs, I have learned to adopt God’s temperament. I have learned that He is in control, that God is the master orchestrator, and I am a part of His symphony. I have learned to temper my own spirit to flow with His. I have learned to release people that I would normally hold so dearly and feel such a great loss when they were no longer in my life. God simply eliminates every faulty system of dependency that I attempt to erroneously create to teach me complete trust, dependence, and reliance upon Him. I have learned to cast my cares, lay the whole of my cares in God’s hands (1 Peter 5:7). I have learned to revere God as not only my Father, but “Abba”. I now can see Him as the “Daddy” that I never had and depend on Him to care for me, far exceeding the efforts of a natural father (Romans 8:15, Matthew
7:11-12). I am learning how to continuously, completely trust God and embrace the freedom that accompanies mastering such a lesson. With these adjustments, I clearly see God preparing me, just as he prepares each of us, to be more like Him so that we will be equipped, accustomed, and full of His nature, fully qualified to dwell in His presence when the time comes. No unclean thing can dwell in God’s presence (Revelation 21:27). Certainly, I don’t want anything about God to ever feel foreign to me; I want no apprehension, but full assurance about where I am and understand that I have been made righteous through the shed blood of Jesus Christ and the power of Holy Spirit to be in God’s presence for an eternity (1 Corinthians 1:30). The more that I live and get a better grasp of the Word of God, the character of God, and His methods of cultivating and developing His beloved children, the more I realize that from the day that individuals accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, God begins the process of equipping us to spend an eternity in Heaven with Him, a Holy God. What we eventually grow to understand is that while our objective is to rightly be everything that God ordained us to be before the foundation of the world, the completed work of Jesus and the continuous work of Holy Spirit is to take us through these uniquely orchestrated “obstacle courses” to cause every impurity in us to be brought to the forefront so that we will be acceptable, pleasing, and holy in the sight of God. Fulfilling purpose in the earth alone can’t be God’s ultimate objective, as we, unfortunately, have seen leaders and those in positions of authority in the Church commit willful sin, for a season, but still be mightily used of God.
REJOICE ESSENTIAL MAGAZINE DECEMBER 2017
The gifts and the callings of God are without repentance (Romans 11:29). God is concerned about His people and will use vessels, despite their willful disobedience, to be a blessing. That’s why we must flee from all sin; it is the enemy’s deception to think that just because God has anointed us and is using us that He is pleased with our lifestyles. We must tread carefully and maintain a posture of humility so that we do not become a cast away after we have ministered to and been used mightily of God to deliver and steer others in the right direction, being eternally separated from God because of our own calloused, darkened hearts in the end (1 Corinthians 9:27). Dying to ourselves, humbling ourselves, or being perceived as “less than” in the sight of men, who do not revere or acknowledge God as we do, does not feel good to our flesh, but is what is required by God. We are required to mortify the deeds of our flesh, and for the struggles that are beyond our human ability, God has given us Holy Spirit who will help to perfect all things concerning us (Romans 8:13, John 16:13). We will not understand the full work of Holy Spirit, as it is ordained by God, until corruptible meets incorruptible and mortality meets immortality. We will understand all in the full measure when we are permitted to stand before God in our glorified bodies (1 Corinthians 15:5354). 2 Corinthians 4:9-11, Expanded Bible (EXB): We are persecuted [pursued], but God does not leave us [not abandoned/left behind]. We are hurt [ struck down; knocked over] sometimes, but we are not destroyed. We always carry the death of Jesus in our own bodies [ Paul was in constant danger of the kind of vi-
olent death Jesus experienced] so that the life of Jesus [ resurrection life] can also be seen [revealed; manifested] in our bodies. [ For] We are alive, but for Jesus we are always in danger of [being handed over to] death so that the life of Jesus can be seen [revealed; manifested] in our bodies that die [mortal flesh]. The fact of the matter is that the everyday that we have chosen to live for God is worth it. We won’t fail, because there is no failure in God. He has promised to never leave us nor forsake us (Hebrews 13:5). The work that He has begun in us, He is faithful to complete (Philippians 1:6). We simply must remember rules that govern our lives in God, as outlined in His Word, and be confident in the fact that God does not change (Hebrews 4:12, Malachi 3:6). Once we understand His mode of operation with regards to processing us for greater, we can rest assured that it will be consistent. We will know that we can fully trust Him because God always has greater on His mind. Let us continue to purpose to submit ourselves to God’s will and further His agenda by maintaining a spiritual posture that will permit God to bring us into the fullness of all that He sent Jesus to accomplish…to cause us to be restored to God for all eternity.

OBEDIENCE IN THE LIFE OF THE BELIEVER By Amber M arie Brown
There never comes a time when we go through this life fully aware of our actions and decisions without the direction of God. Not knowing the outcome can be exhausting for an unbeliever, but as a Christian woman, I know that God always has a plan and a lesson for His personal development within us. The moment we walk in our own reasoning and with our own intentions, we tend to get lost in ourselves and in the world and forget the instruction that is above all most important. The story of Saul is a good example for teaching obedience and showing that “obedience really is
better than sacrifice.” Samuel said to Saul, “This is what the Lord Almighty says: ‘I will punish the Amalekites for what they did to Israel when they waylaid them as they came up from Egypt. Now go, attack the Amalekites and totally destroy all that belongs to them. Do not spare them; put to death men and women, children and infants, cattle and sheep, camels and donkeys” 1 Samuel 15:2-3. After Saul, in his own eyes, completed his mission, it states in 1 Samuel 15:13-15 that Saul said to Samuel, “The Lord bless
you! I have carried out the Lord’s instructions.” But Samuel knew that this was not so. He was not obedient to God’s instruction and for this he lost what was given to him. Samuel said, “What then is this bleating of sheep in my ears? What is this lowing of cattle that I hear? Saul answered, “The soldiers brought them from the Amalekites; they spared the best of the sheep and cattle to sacrifice to the Lord your God, but we totally destroyed the rest.” (v16-19) Samuel says, “Let me tell you what the Lord said to me last night. Although you were
REJOICE ESSENTIAL MAGAZINE DECEMBER 2017
once small in your own eyes, did you not become the head of the tribes of Israel? The Lord anointed you king over Israel. And he sent you on a mission, saying, ‘Go and completely destroy those wicked people, the Amalekites; wage war against them until you have wiped them out. Why did you not obey the Lord? Why did you pounce on the plunder and do evil in the eyes of the Lord?” Saul thought he did the right thing, but Samuel says it best when he said, “Does the Lord delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as much as in obeying the Lord? To obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed is better than the fat of rams. For rebellion is like the sin of divination, and arrogance like the evil of idolatry. Because you have rejected the Word of the Lord, he has rejected you as King” 1 Samuel 15:22-23 (NIV). I know that many of us have been in a Saul situation. We feel as though we listened to God and was obedient to His instruction, but how much of it was done in fulness and how much of it was left out because of problems within ourselves? Saul had also built a monument in honor of himself instead of honoring God. His heart now belonged to himself. He allowed his power (that was given by God) to be used in a rebellious way instead of in consistent obedience. Samuel was trying to explain to Saul to look at “why” he was making the sacrifices regarding the religious ceremonies and rituals that were taking place then for sacrifices. You can physically demonstrate a relationship with God in sacrificing your time, money, and/or even fasting, but if you sacrifice with an unclean heart, for the wrong reasons, or in disobedience, then
it would be better not to sacrifice. What will you gain other than your own personal satisfaction? The irony in it all is that we think this temporary personal satisfaction is worth it, but in all actuality, we receive permanent personal destruction because of that temporary satisfaction. That is not relationship nor is it ministry! Samuel, along with many others in the bible, is teaching us that obedience is key! Obedience is what brings you to salvation!
genuine or not with others and most importantly with yourself. Now, it is our responsibility to share the gospel of Jesus Christ, to serve others, to contribute to society, and to always be available to the needs of others, but are we doing it the way God had intended? Are we truly working in the spirit of obedience?! We must act with love, commitment, consistency, and genuine devotion with the obedience to God in all areas of our lives.
Think back to the beginning of your walk with God, when you got down on your knees and asked Jesus for forgiveness. You did that because of obedience. In your heart, mind, and soul you felt an urge from the Holy Spirit. A feeling of faith and of hope. You chose to step out and take a chance in obedience to the Word of God, which brought you to repentance. Obedience is listening to the voice of God even when you don’t understand the “why.” Obedience means walking this mission of life out in the name of Jesus, under God’s authority, covered by the blood, bringing new souls to the body of Christ, and always giving honor to the Father. The problem in this generation is that many so called “Christians” do a lot in the world and say it is for God; it looks good and it sounds good, but how much of what they do or say really comes from God?
When we talk about obedience, we must also talk about rebellion. To learn and walk with understanding, we must know both sides. The good Lord made the tree of life and of knowledge of good and evil because he gave us free will; a free will that gives us the opportunity to walk with him and not against him. The crazy thing is that Christians, even the more, rebel against God and themselves more so than nonbelievers rebel against authority. See, when you live in the world and are not walking the Christian walk, you’re not rebelling against anything other than society! But, when you are a Christian and you know the Word of God, but you continue doing what your Father tells you not to do, then you are just as guilty as an unbeliever.
We are under direct order to follow His voice, to teach His word, to transform the conformed, and to change ourselves DAILY. God reveals new ideas to those that have ears to hear, bringing the presence of God. Is obedience bringing the presence and anointing of God in your life and the lives of those around you? This is the question we must ask ourselves. This is how you will know if the actions are
It is important for us to realize that any one of us can get caught up in disobedience just like our brother Saul. No one is exempt from such thing, for it is written, “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” Romans 3:23. Saul understood that he messed up. He even said, “I have sinned. I violated the Lord’s command and your instructions. I was afraid of the men and so I gave in to them. Now I beg you, forgive my sin and come back with me, so that I may worship the Lord.” But Samuel replied, “I will not go back with you. You have
49

rejected the word of the Lord, and the Lord has rejected you as king over Israel.” Then Samuel goes to say after Saul grabbed his robe as he walked away, “The Lord has torn the Kingdom of Israel from you today and has given it to one of your neighbors-to one better than you. He who is the glory of Israel does not lie or change his mind; for he is not a human being, that he should change his mind.” 1 Samuel 15:24-29 (NIV). After Saul asked again Samuel did indeed go with him, but it was Samuel’s job to be honest with Saul and tell him the truth so that he could understand what had been done. By doing this Saul could gain understanding in the fact that we must seek God daily with the gifts He has given us and walk in humility constantly because we can get so caught up in trying to do good that we completely miss God’s purpose for us, being sensitive to the needs of others, and most importantly being obedient to God, walking in our own decisions and feelings. Because of rebellion, arrogance, and pride, Saul lost his blessing from God. He lost the Kingdom. I want us to think on today what have we have lost because of our disobedience? What blessings have been taken from us and given to others because we have not followed through with our word to God? When we chose to live for God we chose to deny ourselves and follow him for eternity. To take up our cross and walk with God every day. The moment we know He tells us NO but our flesh says YES and we listen to our flesh rather than his voice, or the moment he says DO IT and we DON’T, that, brothers and sisters, is us not living in obedience. This means no matter what we are doing in the church or in the community, if that is happening in our lives, we are currently displeasing God.
We don’t like to hear that, but it is truth. Jesus didn’t die and go through all he went through for us to just say we are washed, sanctified, and justified in his name but still continually lying to ourselves and others! We are to feed others His truth in love, not feed them rotten and decaying food full of dishonesty only to make them feel good so that you don’t feel bad. Saul was more concerned about what others would think of him rather than doing what God said to do. That is much of the problem today with us believers. We care too much about what others think that we completely miss the greatness of God and the true ministry in which we are meant to be a part of. Our excuses must come to an end. The day that we rise to the mission and say, “God, I will do whatever it takes to bring a soul into the Kingdom of God,” that is the day when true obedience can be put into action! It should never be about the opinions of other people. Sharing the gospel and walking with God is meant not for condemnation unto others, but to help bring forth change! People don’t like to change which is why most do not accept the gospel, but we are told to “keep on keeping on.” If Jesus accomplished all He did because of obedience, just think what we could accomplish in unity and obedience! I say REVIVAL!!!!!! Now on the flip side, God does forgive! Don’t get too down on yourself because I’m sure after reading this there is something that needs to be repented on or fixed (none of us are perfect), but know that it is written, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. Therefore I boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me” 2 Corinthians 12:9 (NIV).
Great news right! I love this scripture because even though a new mercy is given each day and forgiveness is given to those who repent, this scripture tells me that even in our weakness of disobedience we can change! We never have to stay the same. The power of God is made strong in our dark moments, and even the moments that we are blind to realizing that we have a problem. Understand that God is for you and wants us to walk in a way that is pleasing to Him and to be an example to others. We may disappoint Him when we decide to rebel instead of walk in obedience, but it is good to know that at any given moment we can “humble ourselves, pray, seek his face and turn from our wicked ways, and then he will hear from Heaven, and will forgive our sin and heal our land” 2 Chronicles 7:14. Not only will He forgive us but He also heals us and our surroundings so that we will be less likely to continue in rebellion and more capable of walking in obedience. I pray that you are encouraged today and that you draw nearer to God in your walk of obedience. Always remember, keep serving the Lord and others, but make sure your heart is right! Be blessed and be a blessing to others in Jesus Name!

THE COLLECTOR Taylur Holland
In glass jars, you have collected grudges. You peer upon every trespasser With eyes and lips constantly judging. Seething, never breathing, Carrying burdens so heavy You have trouble sleeping. Tossing and turning every night While every sinner against you lives Unaware of your self-induced, troubling plight. Within your heart, you carry the hurt that came Along with their sins; Evil stands beside you, And bitterness is in your grip. To forgive and let go Is what you should do, But these grudges are your strength The one thing that you identify with as truth. It’s true that they hurt you, Slandered you, And left you alone. It’s true that they mistreated you, Disrespected you, And thrashed you with stones. But because you won’t forgive Them their transgressions -- and them remit -You have become enslaved; You thought you were in control, But it does not work that way. Bitterness is your master, and Anger your foreman; Pain is the craftsman
Of the hate that pushes you toward An inability to grow and enjoy the fullness of life. Instead, you are stagnated and cannot attain Freedom’s light. Everything around you becomes defiled With your life at a stand-still -All because you won’t forgive And trust in His will. So dear grudge collector, There is no anger or bitterness Worth eternal damnation. Dear grudge collector, The judgments you pass don’t make you a corrector Or perfecter of every transgressor’s Aberration Against you. Dear dear grudge collector, Repent and be free So that every person that hurt you Can do the exact same thing. “See to it that no one comes short of the grace of God; that no root of bitterness springing up causes trouble, and by it many be defiled….” - Hebrews 12:15 NASB

PROPHETESS JENNIFER EIVAZ Interviewed By Kimberly Moses Interviewer: Tron and I, thank you for doing this interview. We know that you are very busy doing the work of the Lord. We love your ministry. Prophetess Jennifer Eivaz: Thank you. Interviewer: I see what the Lord is doing. You were on Sid Roth and Something More. You are writing a new book. It’s exciting to see what God is doing in your life. I was raised as a Buddhist so I can relate to your testimony. I didn’t hear about Jesus until the age of twelve. I know you were raised as a Mormon. I heard you mention that they serve a different Jesus. Can you explain this more? When did you leave Mormonism and how did you start serving Christ? Prophetess Jennifer Eivaz: Well my family began to have some pretty serious issues from a lot of different directions. That’s when I was in high school. As a Mormon, they really stress family. A lot of us know that’s something that they stress; -to have a good family and keep family values. Unfortunately, there is a facade to it. If your family isn’t perfect, then you don’t feel very accepted inside Mormonism. There is nothing that is said. It’s just kind of in the environment and atmosphere of Mormonism. They believe in external fam-
ily and you can understand why there is a standard that needs to be in your household. When your family is not doing well, you feel like you are not at the standard that is propagated by the Mormon church. That’s when we begun to not really be involved as we were, not attend as much as we used to attend. We became inactive. I was actually going into full scale rebellion my junior year. It was the breaking point. Now that I was in a full-on rebellion, I completely missed the standard that they proposed. I didn’t have any selfworth. There was no way that I felt like I could get it all back. My uncle was in the United Pentecostal Church. It was a very strict Pentecostal Church. He kept inviting us to his church. I appreciated it. He kept inviting us. This is when I was in college. There was a twoyear window that was really dark in my life - rebellion, my family wasn’t doing well. When I hit my freshman year in college, he was inviting us to church. My mother, myself, and my half-sister decided to travel fifty miles to go to his small Pentecostal church. My step father stayed home because he wasn’t going to have anything to do with that. We went. I didn’t know what to expect. You know when you are desperate, you’ll try anything. We went and I didn’t even know
what the preacher preached. I just know that everyone looked very strange and vintage. They were running around the church, hyper, and saying, “Hallelujah.” The preacher got on his guitar at the end of the service and begin to sing a song. That’s what I do remember. That’s when I felt the presence of Jesus. It was identifiable. I was sitting in the pew feeling the presence of Jesus. As a result of that, I begin to weep and cry. Jesus spoke to my heart and told me, “I accept you as you are.” That was really important to me because I didn’t feel accepted because of religion. Next one of the United Pentecostal ladies, sat down next to me. It was obvious that I was being touched by God. Then she invited me to give my life to Jesus and I did. Then she invited me to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit. As a Mormon, you have a theology for it but you don’t have an experience for it. I knew the terminology but I didn’t know what that meant. She invited me to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit and I begin to speak in tongues immediately. Then they wanted me to be baptized in Jesus name only, but I didn’t do that because I didn’t want to mess up my makeup or my hair. Interviewer: Laughs. I don’t blame you. That’s awesome.

Prophetess Jennifer Eivaz: (Laughing) I got baptized later. That’s the story. I didn’t stay in that church. It wasn’t for me. I just kind of had an instinct earlier on that it wasn’t for me. I did go to a Baptist church for a little while. It was good for my foundation. Then I went to a charismatic church. Interviewer: When did you realize that you were a prophet? A lot of people don’t know if they are called as a prophet or not? Prophetess Jennifer Eivaz: I was always in tune with the spiritual realm. That was always a part of me. It was pretty dark. I really never thought of being a prophet because in the Mormon Church, prophets were men and they came from a certain family. That was the paradigm. I never really thought about it. It wasn’t something I cared about or inspired to be honest with you. That’s important for some people but for me it really wasn’t. At least five years into ministry, right beside my husband, we had a conference here at the church. It’s an annual conference called Holy Spirit Conference. We have it every summer. During the conference, I went into a full-on trance. That means your whole world goes away. It’s not a vision where you can see your surroundings; everything goes away and you’re somewhere else. When I was in the trance, an angel visited me. He brought to me a very large scroll. It had to be about 10 feet by 10 feet. When it opened up, there was a lot of writing on the scroll. The angel handed me a pen and I needed to sign the bottom of this scroll. I understood that I was signing this scroll as a prophet to the nations. In the trance, I understood what was going on. I signed it, gave the pen
back to the angel. I told the angel, “Okay, I signed your contract. What are we going to do?” The angel said, “It’s not a contract. It’s a covenant.” I didn’t understand that language. When I came out of the trance, I realize that I was lying flat on my back on the floor. My friend from International Church of Las Vegas was standing over me. She straddled me. She was shouting in her French accent. She is French Canadian. She is shouting, “You are a prophetess of God. You are a prophet-
ess to the nations.” There was my confirmation. Interviewer: (Laughing) Talk about a move of God! Prophetess Jennifer Eivaz: That’s what began this wonderful anointing and some really scary spiritual warfare all at the same time. That’s really where it began. I never really inspired or cared. It was not on my grid. The next thing I know, I was a prophet and anointed as one and I have no
REJOICE ESSENTIAL MAGAZINE DECEMBER 2017
clue what to do. It really wasn’t something we pushed, trained, equipped, or discussed. We were aware of prophets but it wasn’t something that we emphasized in our environment, although we accepted it. Interviewer: Wow. I had the same experience with a golden scroll. I never saw what was on it. One day I was getting ready to do a prayer call. I was worshipping and praising God. My whole room changed into the galaxy. I heard the external voice of God. He said, “Hold out your hand.” He handed me a golden scroll and told me to place it inside my belly. When I did, I immediately felt an impression. It was a lot of pressure from my abdomen up to my neck. It lasted about four hours. I read the book of Ezekiel and I saw a similar experience there. That’s an awesome experience you had. You also answered one of my questions about angelic visitations. How did you grow in your gift as a prophet? Prophetess Jennifer Eivaz: Wow. Well not to easily because I didn’t really have it around me and I didn’t really have anybody to really help me. I had to listen to the Holy Spirit, and I felt like I wasn’t doing well with it. I had an unusual expression. I was a seer and strong discerner. I felt a lot of things. If I was to explain to you how I knew the information that I knew it would make no sense to you. There was nobody in that category at the time that I could speak to that was having those kinds of experiences. Why do I taste metal in my mouth when I go into a building? Why is this happening? I didn’t know that I was discerning a spirit of violence and I was there to command it to go and bring the peace of the Lord. I am a prophetic intercessor. How do you explain to people that the reason why I
knew something was because I tasted metal in my mouth? Nobody was getting that at the time. I worked very hard for a number of years to bring that expression to the forefront. I have a book all about that kind of expression. My friend from International Church of Las Vegas connected me with Bethel. At the time, they were equipping prophets, like a school of the prophets. They would accept my expression. They accepted the way God was speaking to me. They gave me a platform for a season to teach and equip before I did my own institute. Interviewer: Wow. Amen. That’s awesome. How often do you do your Seers and Prophets Institute training? Prophetess Jennifer Eivaz: I do a couple a year. I have the one in the Fall. I am remolding it. I feel like the Lord is saying we need to bring deliverance and
inner healing into our realm of influence. We will do a different institute in the Spring. It will be a deliverance and inner healing institute. I started to work with emerging prophets, those who are starting to get a platform. I’ve been doing a lot of work behind the scenes to bring some of them forward. I still plan on doing something annually at least but I have been doing some smaller training. I want to make sure that they have a mechanism to learn how to teach, preach, and prophesy with some guidance. Interviewer: That’s awesome. I know that you are highly skilled in deliverance. I wanted to know an encounter that you had when someone manifested, and what did you do? A lot of people are scared of demons. Prophetess Jennifer Eivaz: It’s not a huge deal for me. If I am going to have a grand mal mani-

think there is such an attack on deliverance ministry? Some people don’t think Christians can have demons. Some people say yes and some say no. Prophetess Jennifer Eivaz: It’s a misunderstanding of scripture and the belief that if you have the Holy Spirit then you can’t have spiritual problems. But we forget that we are spirit filled and body. If you are a Christian, you are possessed by the Holy Spirit in your spirit. The rest of you is where we have the issues. It will get in your flesh. It will get in your mind. It won’t possess you from the inside of your spirit, which is where you were before you were a Christian. You were possessed demonically before you were a Christian. Once you get saved the Holy Spirit takes possession over your spirit man. There is a misunderstanding of scripture in that regard.
festation, it will be from someone who has been in the occult or Satanism. I had people get very violent from those manifestations. Once I shared my testimony from the church platform on a Sunday morning. A lady didn’t even make it to the altar. She got up and started walking down the aisle. She was on the ground and all sort of things. She was our Satanist ritual abuse survivor. We worked with her. You have to work with people like that for a while because they are fragmented, split personalities. There are all sorts of stuff going on. She showed up at a recent meeting, and she is about seventy five percent of the way there. She did really well in my meeting. She almost manifested. We really have to work with people like
that. I love the whole idea of mass deliverance and self-deliverance. However, a lot of people need TLC when it comes to deliverance and where we can, we work with them for a while. Interviewer: That’s good because a lot of people are still bound and they need that. Prophetess Jennifer Eivaz: Yes, I think mass deliverance works for surface stuff but it’s really community, so you can only go so far. People have to love you through deliverance to get you to the other side. Otherwise you don’t have enough safety to go where you need to go so you can be free. Interviewer:
Why do you
Interviewer: Amen. I wanted to ask you about your book, “Seeing the Supernatural.” Can you tell us a little about that and how it plays a role in your life today? Prophetess Jennifer Eivaz: That book has been in the making almost my entire Christianity. After I gave my life to Jesus, I had a great first year in the Lord. Then things began to get very dark again. The oppression that I experienced prior to Christianity started to come back. During a prayer meeting, a lady said she saw a spirit of sorcery standing over me. When she said that, something picked me up and threw me against the wall. Then I went into a very strong demonic manifestation. Again, I had no teaching about this. There were no conditions, preconditions. I had no concept at all of these kinds of things. I was manifesting so badly that they could not get me delivered. The best that they
REJOICE ESSENTIAL MAGAZINE DECEMBER 2017
could do is to calm me down. They took me home after three or four hours of this. I was pretty much left on my own to figure out how to get free. The Holy Spirit taught me to walk out my freedom. It came to a climatic point where I told that spirit, “I am not going to serve you. I will only serve the Lord Jesus Christ.” That’s what ended it - this whole torment that lasted about three to four months. After that, I received the gift of discerning of spirits. I didn’t know that I had it because of the way that I was anointed with it. The way it happened with me is that I hear the thoughts of people and their demons on top
of it, as if I was walking through a mall or somewhere. It was terribly noisy and tormenting. I couldn’t handle it. I was told this is what happens to someone who got delivered from demons. I told myself that it will stop. But it didn’t stop. I had an idea that maybe I received the gift of discerning of spirit. I could detect demons. At the time, there was an emphasis of spiritual warfare and people were talking about that. I was thinking that must be going on with me. Where it got really strange is that I would have things happening in my senses. I could smell and taste things. I could feel emotions. I didn’t
know that is how the gift of discerning of spirits operated. That’s based on Hebrews 5:14. Hebrews 5:14 says, “But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.” The mature will discern their senses what is good or evil. I didn’t know there was a whole thing where your senses will be activated to discern what is right or wrong; good or evil; what is divine or demonic. I had to learn how to walk it out. It was very overwhelming for years. It really shaped my life. You can’t do certain things because it will torment you. Going to certain movies for some people isn’t a big deal. For someone with this gift, it’s a big deal. Walking through certain places; It’s a much different experience. At this juncture being more mature with this gift, I do a lot of land deliverance. What that means is that the Lord will use me geographically to deliver the land from territorial spirits. I have a lot of experience with that. It is never something to initiate but the Holy Spirit initiates. I find myself in it. I just go with it and when we get to the other side, we see the whole shift and change in that region afterwards. It’s grueling. It’s a gift that is easy to carry. I am setting this up because this is what the book is about. You know what’s in the dark so you don’t stay in the dark. Those who have this gift don’t know it. They might think they are crazy. They think they are schizophrenic or bipolar but they are not. Once we educated them and they discover that they are not crazy but have a gift, then they become effective in the body of Christ. Interviewer: You answered my question about what advice would you give to someone with

this gift? That’s good. Prophetess Jennifer Eivaz: Usually if their medication isn’t working and they are Christian and have been diagnosed with schizophrenia because they are hearing voices or bipolar because they can’t get control over their mood, it’s an indication that it’s not a medical issue. It’s a spiritual issue. Interviewer: That’s good because I met someone like that before. I didn’t know how to minister to them. I am new to this. I am learning things. Prophetess Jennifer Eivaz: We are learning the dimensionality of the Lord. A lot of times we just have a one-dimensional approach on some of these things. “Oh, they are hearing voices. They must be schizo, but what if it’s God?”
Interviewer: Right. Right. That’s good. Wow. When did you discover praying with boldness? How did that work for you when you were at your weakest moment? Prophetess Jennifer Eivaz: I think that I was delivered of something so diabolical, it became second nature to me. I learned right there that Satan really truly wants to kill, steal, and destroy you. We don’t ‘glad hand’ anything. We don’t try to make peace with anything like that. For that reason, I know that I have to be bold. I know that I can’t take no for an answer. I know that I have to draw the line. I know how far it can go. Since, I know how far it can go these kinds of assaults from the demonic, I just don’t mess around. That’s where the boldness come from: knowing who I am in Christ and also comes from knowing that God loves
me. If I didn’t know he loved me as much as he did, then I wouldn’t have the boldness that I have. Interviewer: Amen. That’s good. That’s all the questions that I have for you today. Thanks for your time and an awesome interview. Prophetess Jennifer Eivaz: Thank you so much for having me. I can’t wait to see it.

YOU SHALL HAVE WHAT YOU SAY By Jennifer Workman
REJOICE ESSENTIAL MAGAZINE DECEMBER 2017
“The tongue can bring death or life; those who love to talk will reap the consequences (Proverbs 18:21, NLT).” Have you ever heard it enunciated that you have to be careful what you ask for? Why? Because words are formidable and because you shall have what say. In the Bible Jesus emphatically states that “It’s not what goes into your mouth that defiles you; you are defiled by the words that come out of your mouth (Matthew 15:11, NLT).” For example, you can be a person that is very indomitable and industrious but if you are incessantly negative and self-sabotaging with your words, you can thwart yourself from moving forward and living your best life. The word of God uses a very powerful illustration of the tongue i.e. “No one can tame the tongue, it is restless and evil, full of deadly poison. Sometimes it praises our Lord and Father, and sometimes it curses those who have been made in the image of God (James 3:8, NLT).” If used properly, the tongue can be very beneficial and helpful to others and ourselves as well but, if used improperly, it can separate even the “best of us.” That is why marriages, ministries and people’s overall relationships with each other have been terminated and have caused irreversible damage because someone within that relationship decided to utilize words the wrong way. Don’t ever underestimate the impact of you what you verbalize for the Bible states in (Mark 11:23, NKJV) “If you speak to this mountain and don’t doubt but believeth those things that you say shall come to past, then you shall have what it is that you say.” As I further ponder the sig-
nificance of words and the fact that you shall have what you say, I know inarguably, I would much rather use my tongue and the words that I utter as a means to bless and empower people, than to belittle, degrade and/or tear them down. I would also rather speak words out of my mouth that will prophecy blessings over my life than say something that will curse my future. I don’t care how my circumstances may look or how I may feel, I recognize the importance of saying the right things. Now, that isn’t to say that I have always done that, but at this phase in my life, I choose to speak life! In the Bible, in Genesis chapter one, when God created the earth, he said “Let there be…” and it was manifested according to the words that he spoke. Why? Because God is infinite, powerful and the orchestrator of all things and He knows the power of words and the impact that it has in the lives of all people. Contrastingly, The Bible also declares that “We must all be quick to listen and slow to speak (James 1:19, NLT).” I believe that in choosing to be “slow to speak,” we are contemplative about what we should say and how he should say it and consequently, we don’t just utter anything that is in our hearts for in the word of God it specifies that “The wise don’t engage in empty chatter. What good are such words (Job 15:3, NLT)?” A person that utilizes Godly wisdom is very prayerful and selective with the words that they use for “A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in settings of silver (Proverbs 25:11, NKJV).” Have you ever seen a person that has an “untamable tongue” and just says everything that comes to mind? If you have, you have come into the presence of what the Bible describes as a
foolish person. Why? Because they are without self-control and that is a dangerous position to be in. So many people can be hurt in the process. I know that the “laws of the land” indicates that we have freedom of speech. With that “freedom of speech” comes a great responsibility. It’s not to use the laws established to abuse and degrade others but to be very mindful of what you say that will in the long run exhort and bless others. In summation, I implore you again, don’t use your mouth or tongue loosely! Be careful of the words that proceed out of your mouth. Why? Because wars, divorce, death, family disunity and destruction can be avoided if we think before we speak! If you have a problem in this area, ask the Lord to help you as David did in (Psalms 141:3, NKJV): to “Set a guard over my mouth, Lord; keep watch over the door of my lips.” Instead of allowing the hardships and struggles that you are encountering in life to cause you to speak “death” to your situation, try speaking what the word of God says that “I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me (Philippians 4:13, NKJV).” “I shall live and not die and declare the works of the Lord” (Psalms 118:17, NKJV) and “Greater is he that is with me, than he that is in the world (I John 4:4, NKJV).” In doing this, you are speaking life over yourself and you shall ultimately have what it is that you say!

I AM MOVING OUT By Reynaldo Rodriguez
Because we are identified with Christ in His death and resurrection, we have become new and are part of the new community of faith. In this change, we have moved out from the community of darkness to Christ’s community of light and now own a new power of dominion in our lives. This is clearly expressed in Romans 6: 5 – 7: “For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly also be united with him in a resurrection like his. For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin—because anyone who has died has been set free from sin.”
“Old self ” in this passage literally means old man. The old man in relation to the believer has been crucified in Christ and he has put on the new man, “and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator. Here there is no Gentile or Jew, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave or free, but Christ is all, and is in all. Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.” (Colossians 3: 10 – 12). Paul says, “For we know that since Christ was raised from the dead, he cannot die again; death no longer has mastery over him.
The death he died, he died to sin once for all; but the life he lives, he lives to God. In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus.” (Romans 6: 9 – 11). We don’t consider it so to make it so. We are to continuously believe we are alive in Christ and dead to sin because it is so. Believing anything doesn’t make it true. God said it is true; therefore we believe it. Death is the ending of a relationship, not an existence. Sin is still present, appealing and powerful; but when you are tempted to sin, you can say, “I don’t have to do that. By the grace of God I can live a righteous life.” To illustrate, look at Romans 8: 1 – 2, “Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those
REJOICE ESSENTIAL MAGAZINE DECEMBER 2017
who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death.” Is the law of death and of sin still operative? Yes, that is why Paul calls it a law. You can’t do away with a law, but you can overcome it by a greater law, which is the law of life in Christ Jesus. For instance, as mortals we can’t fly in our own strength, but we can fly in an airplane because an airplane has a power greater than the law of gravity. If you don’t think the law of gravity is still in effect, then flip the switch at 30,000 feet. You will crash and burn. If we walk by faith according to what God says is true in the power of the Holy Spirit, we will “not carry out the desire of the flesh.” “So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.” (Galatians 5: 16). If we believe a lie and walk according to the flesh, we will crash and burn. Paul says in Romans 6: 6: “Our old self was crucified” (past tense), “For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin—“ We try to put the old man to death and we can’t do it. Why not? Because he is already dead. Because many Christians are not living the abundant life, they incorrectly reason, “What experience has to occur for this to be true?” The only thing that had to happen for that to be true happened nearly 2,000 years ago, and the only way you can enter into that experienced is by faith. We cannot do for ourselves what Christ has already accomplished for us. Too many Christians are trying to show that the Bible is true by the way they live. It will never work for them. We accept what God says is true and live accord-
ingly by faith, and this abundant life works out in our experience. If we try to make it true by the way we live, we will never get there. Paul points out the futility of that thinking in Galatians 3: 2 - 4: “I would like to learn just one thing from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by believing what you heard? Are you so foolish? After beginning by means of the Spirit, are you now trying to finish by means of the flesh? Have you experienced so much in vain—if it really was in vain?” We are saved by faith and we walk or live by faith. We have been sanctified by faith and we are being sanctified by faith and by faith alone. We are neither saved nor sanctified by how we behave but by how we believe. God’s work of atonement, forgiveness, and expiation of the blood of Jesus changes our old nature from sinners to saints. The radical change, regeneration, is effected at the moment of salvation. The ongoing change in the believer’s daily walk continues throughout life. The progressive work of sanctification, however, is only fully effective when the radical, inner transformation by regeneration is realized and appropriated by faith. As a new Christian you were like a lump of coal: unattractive, somewhat fragile and messy to work with. After time and pressure, however, coal becomes hardened and beautiful. Although the original lump of coal is not diamond, it consist of the right substance to become a diamond. Right now, you are a diamond in the rough, but given enough time and pressure, you will be like a diamond, revealing the glory of God. As a believer in Christ, you
are new creature now! Not totally new, to be sure, but genuinely new. And we who are believers should see ourselves in this way no longer as depraved and helpless slaves of sin, but as those who have been created anew in Christ Jesus. We already moved out from the old neighborhood of darkness through the blood of Jesus. Let’s stay out living in the Spirit and by faith.

LOVE IS SPELLED OBEY By Reynaldo Rodriguez
In order to experience the life of Christ in a practical way, a day must come, as definite as the day of our conversion, when we give up all rights to ourselves and submit to the absolute lordship of Jesus Christ in every area of our lives. A revelation of this requirement is the first step to holiness; consecration (the offering of our whole lives) is the second step. Jesus replied, “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them.” (John 14: 23). Until the Lordship of Jesus Christ is a settled thing in our hearts, the Spirit cannot operate effectively in us. If we do not give absolute authority in our lives, though He
may be present, He cannot be powerful. The power of the Spirit is held back. A forgiven sinner is quite different from an ordinary sinner, and a consecrated Christian is quite different from an ordinary Christian. Grace means that God has done something for me; law means that I must do something for God. The trouble with the law is not that the law’s demands are unjust, but that I as a sinner, am unable to meet them. The law makes our weakness manifest. Had it not been for the law, we would never have known how weak we are. The law is what exposes our true nature. The law was not given with the expecta-
tion that we would keep it; it was given in the full knowledge that we would break it. When we have broken it so completely as to be convinced of our utter need, then the law has served its full purpose. It has been our schoolmaster to bring us to Christ; that in us He Himself may fulfill it. “But Scripture has locked up everything under the control of sin, so that what was promised, being given through faith in Jesus Christ, might be given to those who believe. Before the coming of this faith, we were held in custody under the law, locked up until the faith that was to come would be revealed. So the law was our guardian until Christ came that we might be justified
REJOICE ESSENTIAL MAGAZINE DECEMBER 2017
by faith” (Galatians 3: 22 – 24). What does it mean to be delivered from the law? It means that I am henceforth no longer going to try to do anything to please God; for if I do, then I immediately place myself under the law. Therefore, I have no alternative. I must allow Christ to fulfill the law in me. Finally, I’ll see that this alone is what is pleasing to God. Jesus said: “Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.” (Matthew 5: 15 – 17). This is deliverance from the law! “And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased. Have confidence in your leaders and submit to their authority, because they keep watch over you as those who must give an account. Do this so that their work will be a joy, not a burden, for that would be of no benefit to you. Pray for us. We are sure that we have a clear conscience and desire to live honorably in every way. I particularly urge you to pray so that I may be restored to you soon. Now may the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, equip you with everything good for doing His will, and may He work in us what is pleasing to Him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen. Brothers and sisters, I urge you to bear with my word of exhortation, for in fact I have written to you quite
briefly.” (Hebrews 13: 16 – 22). (Hebrews 13: 16 – 22 + Faith = GRACE) It is only after having reached the point of utter despair in ourselves—so that we cease even to try—that we put our trust in the Lord to manifest His resurrection life to us. The sooner we give up trying, the better. For it is only by ceasing in ourselves that we give place to the Holy Spirit. And then, we will see a power stronger than ourselves carrying us through. As long as we try to do anything, He can do nothing. It is because of our trying that we fail. We all need to come to the point where we say, “Lord, I am unable to do anything for You, but I trust You to do everything in me.” One faulty line of thinking that is prevalent among Christians is this: we know that justification is ours through the Lord Jesus and that it requires no work on our part, but we think sanctification is dependent on our own efforts. We know we can receive forgiveness only by our entire reliance on the Lord, yet we believe we can obtain deliverance by doing something ourselves. After salvation, the old habit of “doing” reasserts itself, and we begin our old self—efforts again. However, the Bible declares that in both justification and sanctification, He is the doer in our lives: “Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed—not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence—continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose.” (Philippians 2: 12 – 13). If we let go of our own will and wholly trust Him, we will not fall to the ground and break; rather, we will fall into “the law of the Spirit of life” “…because
through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death.” (Romans 8: 2). Revelation always precedes faith.

WINTER CARE FOR NATURAL HAIR By Keiyia JOYet George
REJOICE ESSENTIAL MAGAZINE DECEMBER 2017
It’s that time of year. You know, ‘...the most wonderful time, of the year...’ But your hair is dreading this time of year. Your mane has changed to the lyrics to ‘...it’s the most, driest time of the year...’ (Note: most, driest to stress the word DRY!) Without getting into the science of it (maybe we will one day), depending on where you live, this is indeed the time of year your hair hates the most (excluding those in dry, dessert places). With the heater cranked up, and the air super chilled, there is no moisture in the air inside or outside your homes. The heater has dried out what you had inside. The cold weather has a little moisture, but what it has condenses before it’s usable (ok, got a little sciency there). So what’s a girl to do with her hair during this season! Moisturize! Moisturize!
Moisturize!
Did I say moisturize? That’s your answer. And I don’t mean wash your hair daily to saturate it with water. Frequent washing will only further dry out your beautiful mane. So what’s a girl to do?!?! Well, first you’re going to calm down and not panic. It’s not as hard as you think. Here are a few tips to help care for your hair during this winter season. First and most important, you are going to moisturize your hair. I won’t get into what products to use, what concoction to make or even what methods to follow. Depending on your hair porosity and type, the answer varies. Maybe we can cover that another time. But if you are accustomed to moisturizing your hair
1-2 times a week, during the winter months you may need to double or even triple that. The more you manipulate your hair or wear it uncovered, the more moisture you will need to add back into it. Do a self check. Does your hair feel brittle? Like hay? Coarser than normal? Then knock the moisturizing up a notch. As mentioned earlier, moisturizing your hair does not mean washing more than normal. For those who wash daily, opt for three days a week. If you wash three times a week, opt for one or two times. But whatever you do, do not wash more frequently during the winter months. Frequent washing will only dry your hair out more and sabotage any efforts made to retain your locks this winter. Instead, lightly mist your hair with water or water based products (water is the best absorbed ‘product’ your hair will ever use). After misting, seal the moisture in with either an oil or cream, or both. Again, find what works for you. Tuck those end! The ends of your hair are the oldest parts. They are more prone to breakage and tearing. When extra dry, the easily get caught in fabric or anything that rubs against it (including tree branches. So I’m the only one who’s had her hair accosted by tree branches...?). Your shirts and top covering are your hair’s worst enemy. The headrest of your vehicle is in the top ten list. Basically anything during this season that rubs against it is a potential enemy to your hair. But what if you have shorter hair that never rubs against anything? Well honey, air alone will cause you damage. Have you ever sat something out and just left it there? Untouched? When you went back to it, depending on the material, oxidation has taken
place and that ol’ oxygen enemy has hit with an unexpected low blow. The same is true of your hair. Especially your sacred ends. If you have length goals, the winter months are not the months to allow those ends to be exposed. So tuck them, pin them, or whatever you need to do, but do not leave those precious babies hanging loose. Low maintenance and protective styles are the way to go. What about a cute hat or silk or satin scarf? By using these, your entire head is protected and covered out of the harsh, winter elements (don’t we wish our sinuses could have a hat too). You can be stylish with them as well. The only thing I’ve ever enjoyed about winter months is being extra stylish in my winter wear. Picture me...strutting across the courtyard in my thigh high boots...ahem. Yes. Be stylish during this season with hats and scarves and keep your locks protected. Thankfully, where I live never gets wintry cold. I hate cold weather!!! If you’re fortunate enough to move to a warm climate like I did, well high five!!!! For those who still suffer (unless that’s your thing) through cold, dry winter days, well I say if you don’t want to end up cutting off the lengths you’ve grown over the cold months, then make sure you spend some time giving your hair some extra tender, loving care this season. As always, Keiyia JOYet George www.justmekjg.vom

TAKE STEPS TO GROW SPIRITUALLY By Kimberly Moses
Each year we should be growing in our faith. There should an indication of a certain level of growth or measurements of the fruit that are produced in our lives. For instance, I was a pew warmer, someone who went to church and did nothing, for ten years. I didn’t want to volunteer or serve. I had no clue what the gifts of the spirit were. I barely prayed or read the bible. I was as cold as an ice pick. I wasn’t growing spiritually and my heart was hard towards the things of God. I failed to take steps to grow spiritually. Does this sound like you or someone else you might know?
We are continuing “Becoming a Better You” series. Taking steps to grow spiritually is step number two out of seven. I always tell women that it does no good to have beauty without a brainbeautiful without anointing. This was my case. I was caught up in looks and physical gain but was ignorant of the word of God. I couldn’t even heal a headache if I prayed. I recall a time when I was embarrassed because I was asked to pray publicly by a married couple in a prayer meeting. I had no clue what to say. When I lost everything in 2014, I finally decided to get serious about my relationship with God.
These are the steps that I took to grow spiritually: praying, fasting, worshipping, studying the word, and living holy. These steps are mandatory. It’s amazing how much we can grow when we are thrown right into the midst of the fire. This is why some parents throw their babies into the pool so they can learn how to swim. It’s shocking to see, but it works. The baby immediately starts kicking and begins to float. Well this is how I learned to pray, right in the midst of the storm. I was being attacked financially, in my relationships, legally, mentally, and the list goes on. I learned how to pray fervently. Prayer became a part of my DNA. The next step to grow spiritually is fasting. Fasting has worked wonders in my walk. It has totally killed my fleshly lusts and desires. There were so many situations where I could’ve sinned, but my love for God was so strong. My relationship with Him is top priority. Even when the devil presented temptation before me, I rebuked it and my flesh didn’t budge. This is how Jesus was in the wilderness (Luke 4). He was on a forty day fast. The tempter came to tempt him with various things that many
REJOICE ESSENTIAL MAGAZINE DECEMBER 2017
people would’ve succumb. Yet, Jesus combatted the temptation with the word of God and gained strength from fasting. I incorporated fasting into my lifestyle and it has shifted me. Matthew 6:16 tells us not to be like the hypocrites when we fast by looking sad or looking like you’re fasting. No one knows that I am fasting when I fast except my spouse so we can be on one accord or my mentees when we do corporate fast together. Fasting is scriptural. Ester fasted and got favor with the King. King Jehoshaphat fasted and got victory. Daniel fasted and got breakthrough. The disciples fasted and worked miracles. I have many documented miracles and some that can be witnessed by watching the replay of my periscope, YouTube or Facebook videos. Fasting produces power. In Matthew 17:21, Jesus reveals that some spirits only come out by prayer and fasting. Whenever we study Isaiah 58, we can see the benefits of fasting. Don’t be a powerless Christian! If witches, warlocks, and people of other religions fast, why can’t God’s children? The next step to grow spiritually is worshipping the Lord. I love to worship. I can worship for hours. I even have my husband loving some of my classic worship songs; the songs that usher in the presence of God every time I listen to them. Every time I worship, I feel God’s fire and I receive revelation. When the people of Antioch worshipped in
Acts 13, they received their next move. They knew that Paul and Barnabus had to separate. If you want clarity or direction, go worship. Our worship goes beyond listening to music but to our lifestyles. We see this in Romans 12. Live a life that is pleasing to God, it is your reasonable service. Remember, worship brings in the harvest. The next step to grow spiritually is studying the word. There are so many resources out there. There are study bibles, devotions, websites, classes, and trainings to help you study God’s word effectively. We are told to study unto God in 2 Timothy 2:15. 2 Peter 1:10 tells us to try hard to make your calling and election sure. If you are truly chosen by God to do a great work, then there should be a desire to want to study and learn. When the Holy Spirit told me that I was going to have a healing and deliverance ministry, I read many books about it. When He told me that I was a prophet, I went and started an extensive study on biblical prophets. Studying is for your good. The word of God provides teaching, instructions for righteousness, correction, and reproof (2 Tim. 3:16-17). The last step in growing spiritually is living holy. Holiness attracts God’s presence. He wants to dwell in a pure place. Don’t grieve the Holy Spirit with sin. Holiness is not based on appearances such as long priestly garments, robes, dresses, or no makeup. Holiness is determined
if the door to sin is closed in someone’s life. When God called me into prophetic ministry, I got on fire and I slammed the door hard in the devil’s face. I claimed my house for Jesus and His presence dwells there. Whenever I minister, He comes like rushing wind, ready to pour out His spirit. Leviticus 20:7 tells us to consecrate ourselves and live holy. It is a commandment to live holy (1 Peter 1:16). It’s time to say good bye to sin and some people that are hindering your spiritually growth. Make a decision to apply these steps in your life. We all have room for improvement. Some people are really strong in one area but struggle in another area. Some people were clueless until they read this. I applied all these steps and within three years, God accelerated me in the spirit. Remember, spiritual maturity isn’t based on age. You can be 65 but be immature spiritually. You can be 19 and be spiritually mature. In review, prayer, fasting, worshipping, studying the word, and living holy involves taking steps to grow spiritually. Let’s take some steps!

THE CHRIST IN CHRISTMAS By Shirley Cooper
For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. (Isaiah 9:6) CHRISTmas time is always a special time for most everyone, especially for followers of Jesus Christ. CHRISTmas is celebrated all across the globe in many ways. I do remember celebrating CHRISTmas in Puerto Rico with my family even though I was quite young, under five years old that is. CHRISTmas Eve was a biggy for our family: heating up the oven at 6am
CHRISTmas eve, cooking up a big ole’ fat turkey, an incredible, mouthwatering beef rib roast and a pork shoulder roast, soups, rice, potatoes, Filipino foods, Puerto Rican cuisines, mad desserts, fruits, veggies, and so much more. That tradition has been carried down to my children. Today, we can never leave a normal holiday dinner simple. We just had to amplify it tenfold. Opening one gift and then playing and eating all night almost until CHRISTmas Day. Then, on CHRISTmas day it was on again. The party continues. My parents would enjoy their wine and rum and coke (coca
cola), a drink mix too crazy to forget, in glasses made of crystal and gold. My mom would pull out her once a year Chinaware and beautiful decor. Of course not allowing us to touch a thing, and I say that with a smile. She wanted everything to be perfect because after all, company was on their way. My parents never had a dull CHRISTmas and neither have we, my children, grand-children, hubby and I. Every time I remember those days, I cannot help but think that CHRISTmas was an amazing time for me. Aside from the many gifts that were placed under our tree, it was a day that old, young, believers, nonbelievers, churched, and unchurched people loved with an effort you just don’t see every day. When we look deeper into CHRISTmas, we find that the typical story we hear could be exaggerated some or rearranged `a little. “It’s about 2000 years ago, the evening of December 25, when Mary rides into Bethlehem on a donkey, urgently needing to deliver her baby. Although it’s an emergency, all the innkeepers turn them away. So they deliver baby Jesus in a stable. Then an-
REJOICE ESSENTIAL MAGAZINE DECEMBER 2017
gels sing to the shepherds. Afterwards, they all join three kings with camels in worshipping the quiet, newborn.” However, scripture doesn’t tell it like this at all. The events surrounding Jesus’ birth don’t read like that at all. Clever though and truly enticing if you ask me. To say that Mary rode in on a donkey is believable, but the fact that it was never mentioned how she rode in makes it an almost made up ride. Was Jesus really born in a stable? Or was He born in a barn, a cave, or just some ditch along the way? The facts lay in between the pages of God’s manual, but the lie is nowhere to be found in scripture. The CHRISTmas story is remembered everywhere before Halloween ever hits the stores. Around Thanksgiving CHRISTmas trees are placed beautifully in many windows, whether the homeowners are believers or not. The CHRISTmas spirit is the only spirit that can move someone quickly from hate to love in seconds, filling them with welp, The CHRISTmas spirit, which if you ask me, is the Holy Spirit at work. It is known that some Historians believe that Jesus’ birth was in September, and being that September is my birthday, I find it hard to argue that find. However, some may not agree. No matter, the truth is hidden between the pages of God’s handy work in that great love story of His. Regardless of what we believe or
not. We do celebrate CHRISTmas every December 25th, we do begin cooking at 6am CHRISTmas Eve and we almost always celebrate this time of year with a joy deep in our hearts that no one can tame. We suddenly get excited. We are driven to do things that we normally would not do. Some of us hate CHRISTmas, while most of us love it. Majority rules. Those in favor of this wonderful time of year have already packed up their gifts, drew up their menus, made their naughty and nice list, grabbed their new bibles for CHRISTmas day church, sent out their cards, and planned out their CHRISTmas morning events. The unconditional, uncontrolled love that people lack all year round suits itself up for that one day where reindeer fly, a fat man gives, coal is dispensed, poinsettias are used as decor, snow is prayed for, and candy canes are eaten generously. It’s a day where Jesus is remembered by so many that live without Him outside of December 25th. A day that grumpy old men become loving souls and miserable people find peace. So as I write all this down, I cannot help but relish in the fact that it doesn’t matter what date Jesus was born. As long as we know that He came for a purpose, lived with us, and loved us enough to allow His own life to be taken in place of ours so that we could be forgiven. While some of us are planted
in searching deeper for this date, most of us are in search of His amazing love. A love that if shared all over the world and will eventually bring unity to a divided world. All those CHRISTmas Eve’s and days spent with my family cannot be shoved under the rug because of a date that we’re not sure of. The memories clearly show and teach that someone special was born and we are to raise and praise His holy name forever more. Before I wrap this up let me place a pretty bow on top with this final note. The scriptures say that all Kings should fall down before Him, and all nations serve Him. That is a biblical command. Jesus’s birthday may not be correctly recorded, but God’s commands are, which is good enough for me. Praises to Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior. May all kings fall down before him, all nations serve him! (Psalms 72:11)

KINGDOM FOCUSED By Kimberly Moses
We are now starting off our “Becoming a Better You” series. The foundation has been laid in the previous article. I have already done the first two steps on periscope and posted the replay on YouTube. As we go along on this journey, sometimes we lose focus. We may get discouraged because of the trials. We tend to forget the reason for our faith and the basics of Christianity. I told God that I was going back to the basics: to spread name of Jesus Christ throughout the earth. We are called to do the work of
an evangelist (2 Timothy 4:5). I made a vow to always place a sinner’s prayer in my magazine, “Rejoice Essential.” I can preach and prophesy all day but I want to lift up the name of Jesus more. However, we must keep on striving while keeping our eyes on the cross. This is what it’s all about. When I did this teaching on periscope, souls got saved. The Glory of God manifested and people got healed. Many people came and testified about how they needed this teaching. I want
to grow spiritually. Don’t you? I want the Lord to be pleased with my life. Do you? I don’t want to be distracted in this journey. The first step in becoming a better you is to be kingdom focused. When you are kingdom focus, you don’t have time to be caught up in nonsense. You don’t have the time to worry about what God is doing in someone else’s ministry. There is no time for jealousy or strive. When you are kingdom focused, you are about God’s business. What is kingdom focus? This

is getting to know what the kingdom is. The kingdom is synonymous with the kingdom of heaven. This is knowing who God really is or coming into the knowledge of him. It’s a process that can occur over time as we spend time with the Lord. Are you willing to take this process? When we are kingdom focused, we allow God to rule over our hearts and lives because we are submitted to His authority. We are taking the time and sacrifice to yield to our sovereign God. Did you know that the kingdom of God is within you? Jesus revealed this when he answered the Pharisee’s question about the kingdom. Let’s take the steps to make sure that everywhere we go, God goes. I want to take God with me in the grocery store, restaurant, school, work, etc. I decided to take the necessary steps to strengthen the kingdom within me. Did you know that the kingdom of God is strong? Not even the attacks of hell will be able to prevail against it! The prophet Daniel said in Daniel 2:44 that, “The God of heaven would set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed.” It’s time to check ourselves. It’s time to realize who we are in God. It’s time to get a revelation of the kingdom. God’s kingdom is established, and he rules over all (Psalm 103:19; 45:6; 145:11-13). Just as the disciples of Jesus preached kingdom, so should we. Not only should we preach it, we should be able to demonstrate it. When we take a close look at Matthew
10:7-8, we see some signs that the kingdom of God has come. When the kingdom comes, the sick will get healed, the lepers will get cleanse, the dead will get raised, and demons will get cast out. Now forget all the foolishness that may be going on around you. Let’s get kingdom focused and have a move of God! There are lives waiting on us to demonstrate the kingdom of God!

JESUS IS LOVE, THE REASON FOR THE SEASON! By Misha Wesley
This time of year brings so many mixed emotions and feelings. While some are scrambling to buy the best gift for their precious loved ones or close friends, decorating their trees with the best ornaments, and catching flights from across the country to spend the holidays with friends and family they haven’t seen all year, there are some who are sad, lonely, depressed, oppressed, scared, hopeless, and afraid. For some, the reality of loneliness sets in and causes suicidal thoughts or actions, especially for those abandoned
or spending the holidays alone for the first time in years. So, how can this be? That there are some having joyous times, while others are hopeless? God brought the most precious gift that some will forever search for endlessly and tirelessly trying to find and that gift is LOVE. This time of year brings so many into turmoil and sadness because many have a false perception of love and giving, and lack three vital keys necessary for every believer to have: a strong prayer life, a fasting life, and a relationship with the Father. The special
love of Christ is the love only He can give and the joy only having a strong relationship with Him can bring. In order to understand God’s love, I encourage a RELATIONSHIP with the Father, and INTIMACY with Him. How can we get to know anyone if we are not intimate with them? When I say intimate, do not misunderstand this for some sexual thing. God’s love is above all things! If you love your spouse you will be INTIMATE with them. When you love your best friend, you tell them

deep secrets no one else knows of. Many know Christ in their mind, but we need to know him in our hearts because His love is transformational. The deeper we go, the more we are transformed! Therefore, in order to know what love is, we must know God the Father. God is love and love is of God and those who do not love God properly cannot love you properly. To show love, we must have love in us. True love is SELFLESS, and that, my dear friends, can only come from Christ. John 3:16 is a familiar verse we know: God so loved the world, that he gave His only begotten son. This verse is clear that God loves the world. He loves us so much that He gave us His son, which is Jesus Christ, the Messiah, the Holy One, that shed His blood for every sin committed and for every generational curse to be broken off of our lives. He bared the weight of every burden and endured every single struggle and loss we go through today. It all started with the sacrificial love. God’s love for us allows us to be remade and transformed from our sinful nature into His image which is holy and righteous. The word sacrifice means to give something up of deep value in order to help another person. When Jesus died He made the ULTIMATE SACRIFICE on the cross! Luke 6:35 says that we must lend without expecting to be repaid anything in return. The word lend means to give freely,
and the word repaid is to be given back for what you gave in the first place. When we love, we must understand that we don’t need anything back in return and if we do this, God says our reward will be very great! During this time of year, some people are so consumed with buying gifts, spending money and racking up unnecessary debt that they fail to consider what this season is all about, they fail to consider those who do not have, and they fail to love. 1 Corinthians 13:13 says, three things will last forever—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love. We may have all the money in the world to buy all the material things, but if we do not have love we have nothing. I’m not saying just love those around you, but true love, God’s love, is loving those who do not love us. Therefore, that is something only having Christ’s spirit can help us do. Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance. (1 Corinthians 13:4-7) Love must be sincere (Romans 12:9), so we must give freely as God gives this time of year. Some try to find love, seek love, maybe even google the defini-
tion of what it means. However, through endless attempts in seeking love from people, many will become consistently disappointed, let down, hurt, crushed, and rejected. This season can cause people to suffer severely from rejection and self-rejection. Rejection can cause the host to build up walls of protection around the heart as a defense mechanism to keep people out because of the fear of being hurt. Some can literally barricade themselves in a world of loneliness, isolation and depression. This self-medicating is not showing love to yourself. Lacking to allow Jesus to heal our heart and show us what love is can lead to one being unable to give or show love; it can even cause a lack of identity. Don’t try to compensate for the lack of love, lack of identity, and the lack of truth. As you develop a relationship with Christ and grow closer to Him, He will grow closer to you. By developing a relationship with Christ, you can truly discover His intimacy and find your identity through an understanding of his life. Some of our own problems come from a root cause of fear and anxiety. These work hand and hand to cause oppression and depression to the mind, body, and soul, but you know that God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power. Then Jesus went around doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him (Acts 10:38). The

reality of this, the same Holy Spirit that God anointed Jesus with, rests on you and me! You know that means we have power to OVERCOME! Jesus showed His love for us when He died for us on the cross, taking along with Him was those spirits of worry, stress, anxiety, depression and oppression, loneliness, rejection, and self-rejection. We don’t have to worry about what is going on around us because that is all a DISTRACTION to STEAL our joy, Worship and love to praise GOD, but we should know when we keep our eyes fixed on JESUS, He loves us and He gives us mercy and grace. We have hope and faith! We can rest in him because He is in us! GREATER IS HE THAT IS IN ME, THAN HE THAT IS IN THE WORLD (1 John 4:4). We may live in this world, but we surely are not of this world because JESUS ALREADY OVERCAME the WORLD! This season we should focus on knowing the love of Christ and what Hs mission here on earth was to accomplish. And we know, my dear friends, that this mission is already done!
