The gift and the Office By Vera L. Smith The Spirit wrote through Paul: “he that prophesieth speaketh unto men to edification, and exhortation and comfort” (1Cor.14:3). Prophecy as the gift is used to strengthen us as believers. So it is important that we seek the gift of prophecy, but we must also remember to position ourselves to grow in it by learning so we may comfort others and become comforted by others. Now the Office is different, the person walking in the Office of the Prophet operation in the revelatory gifts Word of Knowledge, Word of Wisdom, and The gift of Discerning of Spirits. The office is more about revealing Christ’s heart to establish the church with His eternal nature and character. It’s not so much to empathize or make promises that improvement of conditions are coming. Now when these to things are confused MUCH damage can be done.

The first issues is that people hear words which promise blessing, yet they fail to connect these words with the way they are living, they never position themselves for anything to ever take place. I’ll make this point: we may have several prophecies yet to be completely fulfilled, the rest are either partially fulfilled or altogether completed. I’m saying this because many people we have met or even ministered to over the years have yet to see any prophetic fulfillment whatsoever. In fact, more than a few have given up on their “word” entirely. This is very dangerous (1Tim.1:18-20). The second issue is that when a word is given the attention, promotion, credence or even hype of the prophetic office when at best it is manifestation or gift-level prophecy, it lacks the necessary spiritual authority to be true beyond the scope for which God intended it. One cannot “build and plant” with words that God intended only to be “encouraging and comforting.” A word which is encouraging and comforting becomes a false prophecy when touted as a word which is true for the general public of the church. Just because someone wanting to make a living promoting the prophetic ministry sends you Email’s or comes to your city, don’t receive them as a prophet unless they sound and act like Jesus’ tough on sin, easy on sinners; tough on the selfrighteous, easy on those who need (& truly seek) mercy. The third thing that occurs when the gift is mistaken for the office: it often becomes impossible for the office of prophet to be discerned and received. The error of mistaking the gift for the office is that only a “good word” can be from the Lord. And “good word” is almost always defined as “one I like, one I want, one that tells me what I was already thinking.” Because of this, when a real prophet begins to minister people often begin their rejection of God by saying “it’s too harsh, they must be bitter, they’ve got issues, their critical,” etc. Granted, the gift of prophecy can be more pleasant to the flesh, but that’s the problem: in many more cases than we’d like to admit we have allowed ourselves to be deceived. We have to remind ourselves that when God spoke in the Bible, more people died than were saved, more cities were wrecked than were built, and more repenting was called for than took place. So when you are receiving a word understand that some are meant to bring comfort while others may bring correction, always take the word to God you will save yourself from a lot of pain, disappointment and grief.

RHEUMATOID ARTHRITIS
BY KIMBERLY HARGRAVES An autoimmune disorder is a condition that occurs when the immune system mistakenly attacks and destroys healthy body tissue.1 White blood cells do not recognize the major histocompatibility complex or its own receptors, and antibodies attacks the body’s own cells. In other words, the immune system can’t tell the difference between healthy body tissue and antigens destroying normal body tissues in the process causing a hypersentivity reaction. Normally the white blood cells protect the body from antigens (bacteria, viruses, toxins, cancer cells, and blood from other species).1 Antibodies normally destroy these harmful antigens. Anti-inflammatory drugs
such as ibuprofen relieve symptoms of rheumatoid but does not change the overall progression of the disease.2 Fish oil or omega 3 is a natural treatment that may help rheumatoid arthritis patients lower their dose of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medication such as ibuprofen.2 Fish oil supplementation is more effective when omega 6 intake is kept low.2 Omega 3 supplementation can be enhanced with olive oil.2 The kosher law is biblical and part of the Jewish culture. This diet gives the Jewish population their identity. This diet can be found in the Torah and Leviticus. There are certain restrictions that include a separation of meat and dairy, no pork, and
no crustaceans or shrimp.6 Under this diet only meat without blemishes can be eaten. Only the flesh of “pure or clean” animals that have totally cloven hooves and chew their cud may be eaten.6 The Kosher diet set the Jewish culture apart from other cultures and related to a Holy nation. This diet is about self-discipline and is good spirtually.6 Philosophers and physicians of the past have suggested that the Kosher diet have health benefits.6 Methotrexate affects the intestinal wall so that these nutrients (Folic Acid, Vitamin B 12, Beta-carotene) are not absorbed as efficiently.7 Nutritional imbalances may result.7 The physician noted that there was temporal muscle wasting

along with muscle wasting in his extremities which indicates catabolism or nutrient deficiency. He had a hesitant gait or his manner of walking was not as steady and limited. Skinfold measurements can be used to estimate energy reserves in fat and somatic protein in subcutaneous tissue.3 Another method is the bioelectrical Impedance Analysis that can be used to analyze body cell mass, fat free mass, fat mass, and total body water.3Lastly Body Mass Index. There might be an increase in catabolism raising the energy expenditure, which leads to weight loss and lean body mass, if the energy and protein requirements are not met.8 Albumin, total protein, and prealbumin are laboratory measures correlate with wasting of lean body mass. Electrolytes, glucose, calcium can be used to assess nutritional status. Erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR), C-reactive protein (CRP) are used to reflect the degree of inflammation.9 Creatine phosphokinase (CPK) is used to determine inflammation in the muscle.9 Inadequate energy intake related to decrease appetite as evidenced by an appearance of muscle wasting. Inadequate energy intake related to decrease appetite as evidenced by chronic pain. Quackery is a type of health fraud that promotes services and products that have a questionable and unproven scien-
tific bases.10 There are many products on the market that claim to cure and heal certain diseases but have not be FDA approved. These products look and sound convincing but they are unproven to cure diseases. Quackery is a big business, the ethical thing to do is not to make false claims to lead patients to try to treat their own diseases and not get proper medical treatment. • Proverbs 23:1-3, When you sit down to eat with a ruler, Consider carefully what is before you;2 And put a knife to your throat If you are a man given to appetite. 3 Do not desire his delicacies, For they are deceptive food. This scriptures implys that not everything is good to eat. When you are around your peers and they are eating foods that you know are against your belief and bad for your health, you should not eat them. As a future public health nutritionist, I would encourage my patients that have religious belief in regards to diet to continue to follow them and will not force anyone to eat something that they do not believe in. SELF-SEEKING REJECTING OF TRUTH Reynaldo Rodriguez
nto your words we are digging deep to know our Father’s heart, into the world we are reaching out to show them WHO YOU ARE… I
In Romans 2: 8 Paul speaks of those who are self seeking and reject the truth and follow evil. (example: ISIS, or ISIL), “But selfish individuals who make trouble, resist the truth, or sell out to wickedness will meet a very different fate—they will find fury and indignation as the fruit of living in the wrong” This is the self that is to be denied, or as Paul puts it in
Ephesians and Colossians, the self that is to be “put off.” Then you know to take off your former way of life, your crumpled old self— that dark blot of a soul corrupted by deceitful desire and lust”(Ephesians 4: 22). “And don’t go on lying to each other since you have sloughed away your old skin along with its evil practices.” (Colossians 3: 9). It is being self—centered rather than GOD centered. It is evaluating ourselves using our own criteria rather than saying about ourselves what GOD says. It is attempting to be self sufficient instead of
finding our sufficiency in Christ. Paul wrote, “Don’t be mistaken; in and of ourselves we know we have little to offer, but any competence or value we have comes from God.” (2 Corinthians 3: 5). But there are two other uses of self that are very different from either of the first two and have positive rather than negative connotations. One refers simply to the self that I am a person— the combination of physical and personality features that make me who I am. Many people say in one way or another that they believe GOD didn’t do a

very good job when HE made them. They would have chosen a very different combination of traits – different height, different facial features, different talents, and on and on. That is like the pot telling the potter how to do his work. The person GOD made each of us is not to be denied or rejected but to be accepted as GOD’s handwork and therefore loved. The second positive use of self is what Paul means when he says: “Then you are ready to put on your new self, modeled after the very likeness of God: truthful, righteous, and holy.” (Ephesians 4: 24). It is the new person each of
us becomes by the grace of GOD. Paul to the Corinthians, “Therefore, if anyone is united with the Anointed One, that person is a new creation. The old life is gone—and see—a new life has begun!” (2 Corinthians 5: 17). This new creation is the Christ—centered and Spirit—filled child of GOD who exhibits self—control: “gentleness, and self-control. You won’t find any law opposed to fruit like this.” (Galatians 5: 23). This is the meaning JESUS had in mind when HE asked the people of HIS day, “What good is it for a man to gain the whole world, and yet lose or for-
feit his very self?” (Luke 9: 25). This new creation is to be affirmed, nor denied. We need to agree with GOD’s perception of who we are. It is the self in these last two senses that is to be loved. The story unfolds and continues..

GOD’S RELATIONSHIP TO THE CHRISTIAN BELIEVER Reynaldo Rodriguez God’s relationship to the Christian believer is real. If what God says about us is to be the basis of our belief and attitude toward ourselves, we need to be sure that we know what God says. We can be sure that Satan does not want us to know and believe the truth, because he knows that our ability to live to the glory of God depends on our appropriation of God’s gracious and good work in making and redeeming us. The battle for the mind began right here in the life of the believer. Within this illustrative picture as background, let’s consider this since it represents the relationship of the unbeliever to GOD, and the basis of theirs and ours spiritual landscape. There
are two lines between them. One goes through the angels (the holy ones—that is, those who did not follow Satan in his rebellion). Notice the way this indicate that this is a one way connection. We at no time approach God through angels. “Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation?” (Hebrews 1: 14). They serve God by carrying out HIS orders, but they are in no sense mediators between God and us. The other line of thought: it has arrows at both ends, indicating this is a two ways relationship. God talks to us; we talk to God. We have fellowship with HIM. “We proclaim to you what we have seen
and heard, so that you also may have fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ.” (1 John 1: 3). We have a love relationship with HIM, “Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.” (Matthew 22: 37). “As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love.” (John 15: 9). There are, of course, many things that could be said about this relationship, but let us establish two basic ideas as a foundation for what follows. First, our relationship with God must be based on the instruction, guidance and empowerment of the HOLY

Spirits just aren’t very real to most of us. If you don’t believe this, just imagine that you are having a discussion at home and that the discussion begins to be a little heated. Emotions begin to rise and bring the discussion to the level of an argument. What motivates you more to control those emotions: an important person showing up at the door (maybe the pastor of your church) or the HOLY SPIRIT there with you? “But, you say, that is not fair. You can see a person, but you can’t see the HOLY SPIRIT.”
SPIRIT, and second, it must be based on truth. These ideas may seem so obvious that they hardly need to be mentioned to anyone who is a true believer. Experience teaches, however, that we are in trouble on both counts. When it comes to the person and work of the HOLY SPIRIT, we have no shortage of teaching on the subject. Theological works are readily available. The problem is that the books are too often written by theologians for other theologians, or at least for theological students, and not for the person in the pew. The problem is complicated because our worldview has conditioned us to believe that spirits don’t really have much to do with what happens in our daily lives and in the world. We assume that we should do things much more on the basis of reason and scientific knowledge than on the basis of spiritual relationships.
True, but that is just the point. Paul tells us, “So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.“ (2 Corinthians 4: 18). What is the controlling factor— the temporary or the eternal? Our culture has affected us to a greater extent than we would like to believe. It has conditioned us to regulate our lives more on the basis of which other people are present than on which spirits are present, and to think more in terms of “common sense” or reason than in terms of biblical revealed truth. The test is what we really believe is our actions, not what we say we believe. We all know better than we do, but in the area of spiritual activity, the gap is often much larger than we like to recognize. Our worldly culture has squeezed us into its mold, and God called us to act upon the truth of spiritual filibuster against our own mental stronghold way of thinking “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” (Romans 12: 2)
This is another way of saying we are more worldly than we like to admit. Worldliness can be denied as conforming more to the expectations of our culture that to the expectations of GOD. We have already said, however, that truth is life changing when it is Spirit taught. The reason that there is often such a gap between what we know and what we do is that the Holy Spirit is not allowed to operate freely in our lives. “And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.” (Ephesians 4: 30). Some of us, we grieve the Holy Spirit by actions and words that are clearly contrary to the fruit of love that is the hallmark of His presence in us, “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,” (Galatians 5: 22) First of Corinthians 13 is a good measure of our spiritual maturity. Too often, how ever, the truth of the love chapter is in our minds but has not reached the level of Spirit taught truth—the kind of truth that changes how we see ourselves and the way we behave. And even thought God may not be the most important person in the life of others yet, at least we all can concurred we hear His voice of truth saying I Am your Friend.

ENDURE HARDSHIPS By Reynaldo Rodriguez
This principle continues to operate in the warfare in which we are engaged today. Do things God’s way, “All of Scripture is God-breathed; in its inspired voice, we hear useful teaching, rebuke, correction, instruction, and training for a life that is right” (2 Timothy 3: 16, The Voice). Notice the concept Paul describe in a Biblical Kodak moment for history, “All of Scripture is God-breathed;” and not just the parts we like from the word of GOD. Polaroid words from the higher heavenliest wisdom above. Believing the contrary open Pandora’s box into our lives, when the opposite is highly desired which is to obey God’s word’s to remain blessed. Do this God’s way, and God will be responsible for the results. Do things our way, and we must be responsible for the results.
So, if the outcome of the battle we are called on to fight depends on our doing things God’s way, we need to make certain that our relationship with the Lord is a functional one and that it is up to date. We also need to be certain that we are in touch with the Lord through knowledge of His Word and a meaningful prayer life. The battle is for the mind, if we can win that battle, we can win the war against darkness. “In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and in view of his appearing and his kingdom, I give you this charge: Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage— with great patience and careful instruction. For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Are we living those days? Instead, to suit their own desires, they
will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths. But you, keep your head in all situations, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, discharge all the duties of your ministry.” (2 Timothy 4: 1 – 5) Can you discern the story of your life inside the wisdom of GOD’s heart and words? Well then, let’s consider an image of the Polaroid/Kodak picture. Fallen angels do not have physical bodies and cannot assume bodies, but they can appear in a form visible to humans. While the scriptures do not speak of this directly, it is generally assumed that this was what happened when Satan tempted JESUS in the wilderness. (Matthew 4). In any case, it is certainly true that many people have seen demonic

figures in a wide variety of situations. The demon does not actually have a physical body, but he does appear that way. Demons especially like to use this tactic with children. Children are very impressionable and can be frightened rather easily, especially at night. When children report seeing “things” in their rooms, parents often look around and report that there is nothing or no one there. They don’t consider the possibility that the child really is seeing something is his or her mind with a spiritual vision that doesn’t depend on the physical organs of sight. Satan does not always appear as a fearsome, evil being. In fact, he rather seldom wears his Satan suit. If he showed up in red tights and horns, with a trident in his hand, we would recognize him instantly. In dealing with Christians especially, he much prefers the “minister of righteousness” disguise. He comes as a friend who wants to help us. He knows that a sense of significance is a basic need for us humans. If we are not finding that in our relationship with God, we will seek elsewhere. An element in that feeling of significance is a sense of power—power to be someone significant, to do significant things. To feel that one has nothing that anybody wants or needs, that one is the low worst thing that can happen to a person. Satan knows that, so he fosters that kind of thinking, and that kind of thinking sets us up for what we are almost certain to be one of his next two temptations. He will suggest either self destruction as an escape from the problem or taking power from the wrong source to try to solve the problem. Jesus made it clear that Satan came to steal kill and destroy, (see John 10: 10, emphasis added), so it is not surprising that Satan would suggest to people he attacks that they kill themselves. Suicide is a growing critical problem in the world. A surprising number of teenagers confess that they have had more than passing thoughts of taking their own lives. It is the third leading cause of death among young people aged 15 to 24. It is the eight leading cause of death among people of all ages in our country. Sometimes, however, Satan will sug-
gest that he can give us the power we need to meet the circumstances of our lives. Remember, he isn’t wearing his Satan suit now. He is posing as a source of helpful information as to where power is available to help deal with life’s problems. This practice opens a person to the whole world of the occult: Yoga, mental transcendence, Ouija boards, psychic readings, horoscope readings, celebration of Halloween, the New Age, worshipping of Gaia, or Mother Earth, the list is uncountable and goes on and on,
get the power of knowledge you are seeking. We are drawn to the how to do it approach. Bookstores are filled with how to do it books on all kinds of subjects.
“Let no one be found among you who sacrifices their son or daughter in the fire, who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, or casts spells, or who is a medium or spiritist or who consults the dead. Anyone who does these things is detestable to the LORD; because of these same detestable practices the LORD your God will drive out those nations before you.” (Deuteronomy 18: 10 – 12)
We can rest assured that finding the spiritual power we need for life is much more than a matter of technique offered by the father of all lies, and more like the words of life and truth said by the HOLY SPIRIT “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” (Acts 1: 8), “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” (Romans 12: 2) “my Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.”(John 6: 40)
The world of the occult says that there is a supernatural source of power and knowledge other than God—a source that is readily available to anyone who chooses to use it. Satan really does have some power that he can be use in ways allowed by God. The problem is that he is not really interested in helping us with our need for power and significance. He will deliver only enough power or information to keep us coming back for more, but the price of taking from that source will be bondage in some other area of our lives. Some people question how anything that appears to be good could come from the devil. The answer is that he charges very high prices. He just doesn’t tell us that he charges very high prizes. He just doesn’t tell us up front what the price will be. He is the master con artist. He has had many years of experience, and he knows us better than we know ourselves. He knows the area in our lives where we can most easily be tempted. For some people, this need for power is so great that they are rather easy marks for the offers of power from occult sources. Another aspect to the lure of the occult is that it specializes in techniques. It says that if you know the right things to do, the right thing to say, the right formulas to apply, you can

And we need to resist the lure of counterfeit knowledge and power with the words of JESUS, “Jesus said to them, “Very truly I tell you, it is not Moses who has given you the bread from heaven, but it is my Father who gives you the true bread from heaven. For the bread of God is the bread that comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.” “Sir,” they said, “always give us this bread.” Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty. But as I told you, you have seen me and still you do not believe. All those the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never drive away. For I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of him who sent me.” (John 6:32-38) THAT IS THE SOURCE OF REAL POWER, TO DO THE WILL OF HIM WHO SENT HIS SON: JESUS.

A COVENANT WITH GOD
By Reynaldo Rodriguez The covenant GOD made with HIS people in the Old Testament can be stated quite simply: If you trust and obey me, I will give you the Promised Land, with all it’s blessings, and I will give you victory over all the attacks of your enemies. If you do not trust and obey me, I will allow your enemies to conquer you and deprive you of the blessings of the land. God told Israel through Moses: “This day I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live and that you may love the Lord your God, listen to His voice, and hold fast
to Him. For the Lord is your life, and He will give you many years in the land He swore to give to your fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.” (Deuteronomy 30: 19 – 20) Notice the compassion: life and death, blessings and curses. We like to talk about the blessings and we tend to expect them all the time. We certainly don’t like to think about the curses. In this context the curse is simply God withdrawing HIS protection and allowing the enemy to attack us. In the days of the Old Testament it was a military enemy. Today is a spiritual enemy. The principle is the same.
God protection for His children is automatic; if you are a Christian, Satan can’t do anything to you. That is not what the Scriptures teach. There are some things Satan cannot do. He can’t drive GOD out of our lives. HE cannot cause us to sin. He cannot tempt us beyond what we are able to bear “No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.”(1 Corinthians 10: 13). Sin is a choice. We either sin, or not.

shield of faith, if we know the truth and choose to believe it. But if we are not acting on the basis of faith and if we are not following God’s clear directions, Satan is able to gain a foothold in our lives and the consequences are devastating if that occurs, “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; however JESUS also said: I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” (John 10: 10, emphasis added). The new covenant of grace is written on our hearts rather than on tablets of stone, and we enter into this covenant by faith. If, however, we do not trust and obey, we forfeit God’s blessings. JESUS told the disciples in the Upper Room, “If you love me, you will obey what I command….Whoever has my commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves me. He who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love him and show myself to him” (John 14: 15; 21). And I too will love him and show myself to him, “Now may the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, equip you with everything good for doing his will, and may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.” (Hebrews 13: 20 – 21). Lack of faith and obedience may not affect our salvation since, “their work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will
test the quality of each person’s work. If what has been built survives, the builder will receive a reward. If it is burned up, the builder will suffer loss but yet will be saved—even though only as one escaping through the flames.” (1 Corinthians 3: 13 – 15), but it does affect how we relate to our heavenly Father. Satan cannot rob us of our standing as children of God, but he can keep that relationship from being what God wants it to be, and he will do whatever he can to accomplish this. One of those things is to tempt us with wrong sources of knowledge and power. Turning to occult practices for power and knowledge is saying, “I do not believe that God is faithful to His promise to supply all my needs. I do not believe that He has given us incomparably great power, remember that the name Satan means the one who opposes and that includes what God has said about us who believe, “and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come.” (Ephesians 1: 19 – 21, emphasis added). That is why I need to try these other things” It shouldn’t take any special discernment to recognize that such thinking comes from the pit, not from a loving Father. But Satan is a deceiver not
just a liar and he has succeeded in seducing God’s people in every age with his offers of power and knowledge to deal with the circumstances of life. There is no reason to suppose that this has changed since biblical times. Satan is still in the business of using his deceptive power any way he can. He does this in two entirely different ways. The first is to cause people to fear him. He wants to be feared because he wants to be worshipped. If we fear Satan more than we fear God, we elevate his limited attributes above the unlimited attributes of god. He also wants to intimidate us with his power. Because he is supernatural, spiritual being, Satan can cause those of us who are confined to the time space world of planet Earth to be fearful of him and what he says he can do. He has the ability to appear in every threatening forms and to intimidate with vision of objects that create fear. So, if the outcome of the battle we are called on to fight depends on our doing things God’s way, we need to make certain that our relationship with the Lord is a functional one and that it is up to date. We also need to be certain that we are in touch with the Lord through knowledge of His Word and a meaningful prayer life. The battle is for the mind, if we can win that battle, we can win the war against darkness.

THE MISSION FIELD By Shirley Cooper The streets. The sirens are loud and the screams begin. As you tread your ground, the road ahead looks blurred. You start to stumble. You’re then weak and lost. You fall, but there are eyes all over you. From left to right they begin to poke and probe. The whispers finally start to grow in sound and there you are, lying in a muddy puddle on a hard cement surface.
Finally, you hear metal clanging together and you’re detained, arms twisted to your back, your wrist feel as if they were glued together. Your mind begins to wonder, then your mouth opens and you shout, “what’s going on?” The men in uniform respond to your question, “You’ve just been arrested!” They begin to read you your rights, “You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you...” and so on. You have now become part of the system! As believers, we often confuse our right to remain silent with the ability to speak. Let me break that down. We are drawn to speak, but often do we use that measure due to those around us who fight to hush our voices. We then shut down to save face, or to appease the other party. In Isaiah 24:14, they raise
their voices, they shout for joy; from the west they acclaim the LORD’s majesty. Why can’t we do this? Why are we caving into the hush of this world? I remember a few years back in my youth pastor days when I went to the streets to minister. I had brought some of my own youth to the call. They were fine and strong within the church walls, but once they hit the mission field, it was scary for them. As I was getting to know some adults in the area we targeted, my youth ran up to me as if they had discovered a monster. Little did they know, they did. Satan was that monster, trying to devour my youth, cringing his teeth like the vicious predator that he is, in search of
fresh meat. One of the youth began to speak out, “Momma Coop, this is your job, can you go out there and talk to them because they look scary!” These youth saw the bodies living in light under their church roof, but weren’t sure about the youth they encountered on the streets. Long story short, I did go out and walked into the crowd they were afraid to. I discovered an amazing girl who was hard on the outside, but had a soft spot for music on the inside, and underneath that tough exterior, was a beautiful soul dying to come out. She was tough, hardly smiled and was street. The streets, “The ghetto,” as we all want to see it, has a hidden soft point that, truly, only
God can reach. While the streets are filled with sirens, screaming, and the sound of gun shots, it holds a lying spirit as well. It’s dominated by demons of lust, hate, and confusion... Dark spots that only the Creator can make new. The streets are loaded with visions in children that will never come out unless we are willing to stand on their ground with God’s truth. In the same way a criminal runs to escape, we too run to escape when truth needs to be spoken. We fight the Lord all the time, leaving our calling dangling in a place He cannot use us. We are called to preach God’s word in areas He knows we can handle, for some of us in places where others would not dare walk. But we are called! When we step out of our armor, Satan steps into his uniform, to arrest us, shackle us, wrap our wrist in chains. He covers our mouths when he knows we’re being used to shed light to those lost. Having been the minister of music in The Kingdom, the devil doesn’t care what tune you play. He holds a note we, as God’s children, should never entertain. Let’s come to our senses. 2 Timothy 2:26 says, “and that they will come to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will. The devil wants nothing more than to stop us from speaking out anything God has called us to. He refuses to see God’s work being done in us. For God we are vessels and tools, used for greater purposes, but for the father of lies we are instruments of war against an all powerful Creator. We step into a dark cold cell when we limit our ministry. When we put truth on the back burner we set ourselves on fire behind rusty bars. The escape becomes weakened once the enemy imprisons our voice, and it becomes hard-
er for God’s light to manifest. We become withdrawn, almost like a woman or man in an abusive relationship. The enemy feeds off of us. We slowly wither away, leaving those who needed the message at a loss. Being a Christian isn’t an easy walk. We can love the job, or find joy in the work, but either way it must be done. The disciples were persecuted obviously knowing the truth. They had to discover and experience Jesus, before actually wanting to complete Kingdom Business. Like my youth and other believers experiencing something helps us further our mission. My youth didn’t quite get it until they lived it. They thought they knew what they would face, but instead they were like strangers who walked as aliens in a foreign country. The girl that Jesus saved that cool night became part of Jesus’ ministry. She accepted Jesus Christ and learned, how to live within God’s army of prayer warriors. She found new family, new friends, and became part
of the worship team, playing the bass guitar. Learning to walk with God took her off the streets. Today, she is married and has a personal relationship with Jesus. Like any Christian life there are still struggles. She loves the streets, enjoys her friends and family. The difference? Her voice is used to deliver the same message that saved her! When we use all that we have within us to scream out God’s truth, others are drawn to a light the enemy can never snuff out. I’m not sure where God will take her in life, or how He’ll use her next, but what I am completely sure of is that when we take that bold step forward, speaking the truth loudly, someone is bound to listen, and one soul is far greater than riches. Matthew 16:26 says, “What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul?” Jesus is Salvation, God reigns, hell exists, Satan is real. Speak loudly and warn those God sends you to. The streets are big, but the mission is bigger!

Epithelial Tissue The subtypes of epithelia include covering and lining epithelia and glandular epithelia.

MEET MINISTER TEKIYAH ANDERSON Tekiyah Anderson has been a service member in the U.S. Airforce for 11 1/2 years; she became an Ordained Minister June 2015, a Christian Life Coach and Founder of Love Thy Self Women’s Ministry in March 2015. No temptation has overtaken me that is not common to man. SINNER’S PRAYER Jesus was crucified on the cross just for you! He suffered so much for your healing, sorrows, and sins. He went around doing every good work, healing people and casting out demons. Cook and stir diced tomatoes, tomato paste, onion, 1 tablespoon oregano, garlic, onion powder, 1 teaspoon salt, and pepper in a saucepan over medium heat. Cook until sauce has thickened, 15 to 20 minutes.

Ingredients 2 teaspoons active dry yeast 1 cup warm water 3 cups all-purpose flour 1 tablespoon white sugar 1 tablespoon dried oregano 1 teaspoon salt 1 egg 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil 1 (15 ounce) can diced tomatoes 1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste 1/2 small onion, chopped 1 tablespoon dried oregano 1 clove garlic, finely chopped 1 teaspoon onion powder 1 teaspoon kosher salt 1 pinch ground black pepper 1 1/4 cups shredded mozzarella cheese 1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper (optional) 1/2 cup chopped onion (optional) 1/2 cup sliced fresh mushrooms (op-

Directions 1. Sprinkle yeast over warm water in a small bowl. The water should be no more than 100 degrees F (40 degrees C). Let stand for 5 minutes until yeast softens and begins to form a creamy foam. 2. Sift flour, sugar, 1 tablespoon oregano, and 1 teaspoon salt into a large bowl. Mix egg and oil into dry ingredients; stir in yeast mixture. When dough has pulled together, turn out onto a lightly floured surface and knead until smooth and elastic, about 8 minutes. Lightly oil a large bowl, then place dough in bowl and turn to coat with oil. Cover with a light cloth and let rise in a warm place (80 to 95 degrees F (27 to 35 degrees C)) until doubled in volume, about 1 hour. 3. Preheat oven to 450 degrees

5. Punch down dough and turn it out onto a lightly floured surface. Use a knife to divide dough into two equal pieces--do not tear. Shape dough into rounds and let rest for 10 minutes. Form dough into rectangles, and place onto prepared baking sheet. Spoon tomato sauce over dough. Sprinkle with 1 1/4 cup mozzarella cheese; top with bell pepper, onion, and mushroom. Sprinkle 1/4 cup mozzarella cheese over top. 6. Bake in preheated oven until crust is browned and crisp and cheese has melted, 20 to 25 minutes. Cook’s Notes: This recipe will make two mediumsized pizzas. You can bake two or freeze one to save for a later date. This will make more sauce than needed but it freezes great! 1. PROPHETIC ENCOURAGEMENT These are the words giving to Prophetess Kimberly Hargraves by the Holy Spirit during her prayer time. Stop contemplating! Contemplating is to be in deep thought or to think something over thoroughly. When you do this, you can start to doubt the things God has spoken over your life. Anything that is not faith is a sin. The enemy will send someone to speak the opposite of what God told them. The enemy can use anyone. Stop being a vessel of the enemy. Mark 8:33 says, “But when he had turned about and looked on his disciples, he rebuked Peter, saying, Get thee behind me, Satan: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but the things that be of men.” Peter was rebuked because Jesus rebuked that spirit. Peter was a good person. God used him mightily.
His shadow even healed the sick. We have to recognize the spirit behind the person. God’s plan will stand. Don’t let anyone stop your destiny. Don’t worry about qualifications. All you need is favor of God. Peter was in his flesh. He had a carnal mind during this rebuke. To be carnally minded is death. The mind of the flesh is an enmity towards God. Enmity means anything hostile, ill will, or hatred towards God. 5 signs of a false prophet. 1) 2 Peter 2:1 gives an example of false prophets and false teachers speaking heresies. They speak with man-made theologies and traditions. They teach things that aren’t biblical. 2) False
prophets lead people astray. 2 Peter 2:2 and Numbers 25 gives an example. Balaam led the Israelites into sexual sin and had them eat foods that were offered up to idols. 3) False prophets prophesy for money. 2 Peter 2:3 gives an example about false prophets prophesying good things and seeing people as merchandise. 4) You will know them by their fruits. Matthew 7:15-20 gives us examples of signs of a false prophet. 5). False prophets words do not come to pass. Deuteronomy 18:22 tells us not fear false prophets if their words don’t come to pass. Jeremiah 28 gives an example of false prophet Hannaniah.

2 Peter 1. Eight steps to increase in the knowledge of God. 1) Faith 2) Goodness 3) knowledge 4) self-control 5) patience 6) service 7) kindness towards others 8) love. Faith is the foundation and we must build on top of it with each step. God does not want you to be stagnant anymore. He wants you to grow in him. These steps will keep you from being idle/ineffective/unfruitful/unproductive. WORD OF WISDOM: God says He is looking at your attitude during the storm. Are you going to keep the right attitude when things don’t go your way? Or are you going to throw a hissy fit? We are commanded to be of good cheer because in the end we know we have the victory in Jesus Christ. Like God always tells me, “If you trust me, then why cry and be worried.” Pass the attitude test. God is watching your response. John 16:33 says, “These things I have spoken unto you, that in Me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation, but be of good cheer: I have overcome the world.” WORD OF WISDOM: You might not understand how God will bring things together for you, but just surrender all the doubt, worry, and fear and say “ I trust you Lord”. Continue to think on the great things that God has done for you in the past. God takes care of His children. You are coming into a new
season. Everything you’ve been praying for is about to manifest!! #ThankGodInAdvance WORD OF WISDOM: Rest. The things you are worried about, let it go. Trust God. Don’t lose sleep over something you have no control over. God never sleeps. While you are sleeping, God is working on your behalf. Psalm 121:3 says, “He will not let your foot be moved;he who keeps you will not slumber.” My children, My children, do you not think I don’t see you and hear you. I hear your cries and your supplication. I am with you in the good times and in the bad times. I am the Great I am and the Alpha and Omega .I am The First and the Last. I am the God who restores. I am the Lord of the breakthrough. I am the God who gives the increase and the God who takes it away. If you obey my words and be careful to follow my decrees your joy will be full and you will be blessed beyond your greatest expectation. It is time to rise up and have faith in me. Do you believe me or the things that you see? I am looking for someone who will choose to believe me over the chaos of the world. I am looking for someone who I can show myself strong in their lives. Are you going to pass test the enemy throws at you to cause you to doubt me? If you pass the test and choose to believe, great will be your
reward. This is your time and season to experience great things. This will be a great month for you says the Lord of Host. Do you know that you can have what you say? It is in your mouth, that I can either bless you or condemn you. I will honor your words. I want you to learn the importance of faith, it is the most powerful force on earth. Your faith pleases me. It grieves me how you have faith for one area of your life but not enough faith to trust me with another area of your life. Trust me. Do you think that I will allow the enemy to defeat you? Tell the enemy who you are in my son Jesus and speak my word. The possibilities are endless. It is time to rise up and fight in these last days. My son Jesus is soon to return. It is time for my people to walk in their Kingship and the authority that Jesus Christ gave them. I am with you. I am for you. I am looking for faithful servants who want to be a friend. The word that God has spoken over your life will come to pass. TESTIMONIES:LET’S GIVE THE DEVIL A BLACK EYE! When we share our testimonies, our faith increases! We start to believe God for the impossible! We can see the power and the hand of God in any situation. God can turn any test into a testimony! We know if God did it before, he can do it again. Our testimonies glorify God!
I called the prayer line hosted by Prophetess Kimberly Hargraves. I was dealing with a lot of issues with my father and was carrying a spirit of heaviness. God allowed Prophetess Kimberly to feel exactly what I was feeling. She prayed and that spirit left me. It’s been a week now and I am filled with joy. I love God and I thank God for lifting that burden off me. -Sheena I have always been skeptical of prayer lines but for some reason, I felt led to call the prayer line hosted by Prophetess Kimberly Hargraves. I wanted to hang up but I couldn’t because the presence of the Lord was strong. My whole body was on
fire and I got hot like I was having hot flashes. After I hung up from the call, I felt the glory of God all that day. I felt so good and I am so glad that I called the prayer line. -Rachel I sowed a $20 seed into Kimberly Hargraves ministries. One week passed, when I got an email from the Department of Education saying they received a payment of $930. I didn’t make a payment because I don’t have that type of money. I called the Department of Education and asked who made the payment and they replied that I did. Me and the lady went back and forth on the phone arguing whether or not I made the pay-
ment. I finally accepted that God made the payment for me. I remember, Prophetess Kimberly Hargraves giving me a word one week prior. She said as she prayed for me, she heard that I was about to get a debt elimination. I am so thankful that God heard my prayers. I purchased, “Obedience Is Key” written by Kimberly Hargraves. I couldn’t put the book down. It was like I could see her tears on every page. This book is really blessing my life. I was fasting when I got this book and in the middle of reading it, God spoke to me and told me to fast longer. So God allowed me to minister to my mom and showed me things I knew absolutely noth-

ing about. I started to prophesy after reading this book. -Tomeya This morning as I was watching Prophetess Kimberly Hargraves on periscope, I felt a release as she started praying. I felt so good afterwards and started to get dress and head to church. I thank God for her life and her ministry. She is such an inspiration to many women. -Tonya I sowed a $20 seed into Kimberly Hargraves ministries. I had been trying to get the rest of the $600 to get my truck fixed. I had been praying about it and I went to DSS and they are going to pay $600 to my truck repairs. To God be the glory. - April A few weeks ago, I was at home taking a shower. When I got out the shower, I slipped and fell. Immediately, pain shot throughout my body and I couldn’t get up. My husband was at home at the time and he helped me up and took me to the hospital. I was admitted to the hospital and they set me up to receive outpatient rehab. Well, with the rehab services, I was slowly getting better but I was still in a lot of pain. I couldn’t walk by myself and
could only take small steps. One Saturday morning, I called Prophetess Kimberly Hargraves’ prayer line. When she prayed for me, the power of God came through my body and God healed me. I was able to get out the bed, take giant steps, and pick my legs up and down. The best part of all is that I have no more pain. I thank God for His healing power. Cynthia A few months ago, I received surgery. I had a deep incision from the middle of my breast to the bottom of my pelvic region. My stitches were irritated and I had a lot of pain in that area of my incision. When I asked for prayer, Prophetess Kimberly Hargraves asked if I was in pain because she said she felt my pain on her body. After she prayed for me, the fire of God came through my body and removed all the pain and irritation from my incision site. I am able to sleep much better at night. This was my first time feeling the presence of God like this. It was a wonderful experience. Donna Last weekend, I was just drained from going through the trials in life. My body had become
physically ill from the fiery trial. All in one week, I broke out in hives, had severe heart pains, vomiting daily, and bad headaches. I was dealing with family issues and not feeling good enough. I called the prayer line Saturday morning and asked Prophetess Kimberly Hargraves for prayer. I never told her anything, but the Holy Spirit knew. He led her how to pray for me. As she was praying, I felt the Holy Spirit breaking things off of me. I felt things moving through my body and I was trembling in His presence.
