TESTIMONIES: LET’S GIVE THE DEVIL A BLACK EYE!

When we share our testimonies, our faith increases! We start to believe God for the impossible! We can see the power and the hand of God in any situation. God can turn any test into a testimony! We know if God did it before, he can do it again. Our Testimonies glorify God!

Greetings! December 20, 2018, was my first time on the “Tongues of Fire,” prayer line. It was so powerful! The Holy Spirit was present and moved! There is no distance in the spirit! My testimony is that I had to fight to get out of bed. I called the prayer line. I had a headache for two days. I don’t get headaches. I was under attack. To God be the Glory! I was healed and received a word from the Lord. I heard for those, “Who call on me I will renew their strength (Isaiah 40:31).” Prophetess Kimberly Moses gave a right now word coming from Isaiah 43:2. I speak Abundance of Favor and Blessings over Prophetess Kimberly, her family, and

Ministry. Hey Prophetess! I am praying all is well. God did it again after the 6 am call. During the call, you prayed for finances. I checked to see how much I had on my debit card right after the call. I know I wasn’t getting paid till a week later. I got so excited when I saw money on the card--Prentice I read your FB status, “By this time next week you will have a miracle.” I checked my calendar and said to myself, “It’s exactly one week later to the day.” While I was at work, a boss came over to me and told me that my promotion was here. I had been waiting for two months after I was first

REJOICE ESSENTIAL MAGAZINE JANUARY 2019

told that I was on the promotion list. I started to think it wasn’t going to happen. The enemy was using people to say not so nice things to me. It caused me to believe that it wouldn’t happen. Then exactly as you prophesied, “By this time next week,” I got promoted! Thank you, prophetess Kimberly Moses. All praise and thankfulness to our Holy God! Thank you, Jesus. —Dawn

“The person fighting other people’s battles that God didn’t put me in,” that was for me. Also, the part about being in the season to get deeper into the word. Glory to God! I had gotten used to feeling like I was supposed to overload my life with helping others instead of getting rest. I didn’t even know how to enjoy peace. I got clarity. I will be joining you guys a lot more often.— Anonymous

What a mighty God we serve. I was on Prophetess Kimberly Moses’ Facebook LIVE. She prayed for my left knee. God healed me instantly. Before I got on the Facebook LIVE, I applied a heat compress, but it wasn’t hot enough, so I took it off. The Holy Spirit told me to go on Facebook. I didn’t even know Kimberly Moses was LIVE and ministering. The Holy Spirit knew. I’m so glad I obeyed the voice of the Lord. God be all the Glory!!!—Jacque

After the 12 o’clock prayer ended, I felt free again. Thanks for keeping the noon calls going.—Melissa

Prophetess! Last night on the Prophetic Miracle Call, I was hit with something that caused the top half of my body to shake. Today, I’m already seeing the fruit of your prophecy. Today, I had a few things to do but around 11:10 am and I started to feel the fire of God on my arms and it felt heavy, so I headed home. I made it to my prayer room. All I could do was pray in my heavenly language. I began to cry, and the fire increased. Finally, after about 50 minutes or so, the burden left. Then I felt the desire to relistened to the call. I went and checked to see if it was uploaded. It was, so I began to listen to it. Again when I go to the part where you said you were going to blow on me, my entire body, not just my hands, shook, and I felt like I gravitated off the bed. I feel so full and at peace. There is no confusion. Thank you for being obedient and letting God use you.—Zolisha Hey, I enjoyed the 12:00 pm prayer. Thanks for inviting me. When you said,

Hey Sis! I wanted to tell you what happened on the call today! I have some kiddos home sick today and had to tend to them. During the deliverance session, I could not stop yawning. I was fine before, not tired. Then you started calling stuff out. I just kept yawning and praising God! I was coughing stuff out. God is doing something. I believe it’s with fear. Thanks for your obedience and all the time you spend with us each day praying. Blessing to you and your family.—Malisa I’m not sure what just happened to me on your call. I’m at work so I came outside. I got in my truck. You told us to put our hands on our bellies and I repeated after you. The next thing I know, my right arm starts to move and my palm is on fire. I feel like I’m about to pass out. Then my entire body begins to shake like I was having a seizure. Then I just laid out. I felt something lay on top of me and I heard in a small voice, “Here daughter.” To be honest, I could feel and hear but couldn’t completely see what it was, but I perceived it was Jesus. The next thing I know, I must have blacked out. I heard your voice and I came to and I’m half off the seat. The blood was rushing to my head, so I sat up. I don’t know what just happened, but I felt drunk in God and so light. I still haven’t gotten out the car but needed to record this. — Anonymous

VISION TAYLUR HOLLAND What I placed inside of you Is vision, And inside of this vision Is Me, My presence, and My peace. The world has need Of what you carry, And things that happen in life Attempt to bury The vision -Make blurry the wisdom and direction I've given. There are so many voices Contending for your affection, your time, and your attention, But can you hear Me? Do you know My voice? What I put inside of you And entrusted you with Was My choice. Long before the Beginning Could be timestamped by the opinions of men, I engraved you on the palms of My hands. I named you And filled you with My purpose. I have not forgotten or deserted you, And your prayers, yes I heard them. So faithful -- remain. Hopeful -- still be, Knowing That it is I Who sustains and keeps you in perfect peace When your mind is stayed on Me. I keep you As long as you desire to be kept.

I am with you, And every new day is a miracle As long as you have breath. I. Am. GOD. And it is My vision That I have placed inside of you So you must draw near to Me -He, Who is the Truth. Yield this vision to Me, And watch what I do. You were set in this day and time To give this vision life, To meet a need in the earth That My voice would be seen and that MY VOICE WOULD BE HEARD. So delight in Me. Walk with Me Completely. Know the sound of My voice, And believe that what I placed inside of you And entrusted you with Was My choice. Amen and amen.

APOSTLE LAJUN COLE AND PROPHETESS VALORA COLE Interviewed By Kimberly Moses Interviewer: We have been following your ministry and Tron Moses posts some of your videos on YouTube. You guys are so knowledgeable in a lot of things and are a blessing to the body of Christ. How did you begin in ministry or when did the call on your life begin? Apostle LaJun: I was called as a little boy. Between 10-11 years old, I was the Assistant Superintendent Sunday School Teacher. Then I was baptized at the age of 13. The gift for the Word was there and noticed on me. I had a passion for God and the Word. My grandmother would take me to church weekly and I loved being there. We lived in a small country town. We only had church every first and third Sunday because my pastor had two churches. He pastored at one church every second and fourth Sunday, then pastored at our church on first and third Sunday. It’s funny because that church is still doing that today. Joining the military at 18 years old, I would attend churches but didn’t really commit to being there every week because I was on my own now. I did 13 years in the Army. At my last duty station, I started serving my pastor as an armor bearer. When I started serving him as an armor bearer, that’s when it really hit me. I didn’t do it intentionally. I loved

to volunteer so I worked in the parking lot. I helped with the transportation and one day we were going on a trip. It was a speaking engagement for my pastor. He was going to minister in another city in the state where I was stationed. As a result, he asked me to drive the van because there wasn’t a lot of people. Afterward, he told me that I drove so well that I could start driving for him. When I started driving for him, I became his armor bearer. For the next five years, I was his assistant and I traveled with him. I would help sell his product. I was his son in the ministry. This is when the call really awakened. People began to call me out and prophesy over me. They would say, “You are going to be a mighty man of God. You are going to do this or that.” In a sense, I kind of ran from it at times. I knew at the age of 13 that I was called to ministry, but I ran until I was about 30 something. That’s when I actually did ministry or submitted to the call of God. I met my wife one day and two months later we got married. The next month, we started the church. Then it was LaJun and Valora Ministries. LaJun and Valora Ministries came about after our Encounter Conference. We have written our first book Plug into the Power of Prayer: Prophetic Intercession. We needed to separate what we were doing for the

church and what we were doing for the ministry. As a result, we started LaJun and Valora Ministries and here we are. Interviewer: Wow. That’s awesome. Prophetess Valora what about you? How did you begin in ministry? Prophetess Valora: Well, I grew up in church. I think I always knew about the call of God on my life because I was told. But growing up, I was very shy. I didn’t want to speak in front of people. I was so fearful of that due to some of the things that I endured as a child, like verbal abuse or being bullied. Being in front of people really frightened me. I would say, “I don’t want to look at people and I don’t want them looking at me,” but I always had a heart to serve. I always wanted to be a nurse and work with children. God gave me a wonderful career of almost 24 years serving as a nurse. At the age of 15, I surrendered to speaking on a program. People had asked

me before that, but I would always say, “I can’t…” for whatever reason. It was just my way of trying to get out of it. Around the age of 15, I was speaking and I saw the hand of God - the power of God. God would use me prophetically even in my younger years. It would frighten me, so I would try to stay away from that. Through time, God began to give me opportunities to be a part of a youth group and to serve at my church. I would teach the youth, empower and equip them. I was at a place in my life where I felt as though entering that call was really more things on my table than I thought I had the ability to do. I was still fighting God about speaking and really surrendering to acknowledge the call of God upon my life and fully walk in that. I remember God sending three people to me in one day. Basically, they were saying that I had to accept the call of God on my life. Amazingly, that morning I had woken from a dream and in the dream was in a pasture. It was a beautiful shade of green, so vibrant. I began to see these small white animals. When I began to try to play with them, a lady in my dream told me that they weren’t puppies but sheep and that I had to feed them. I said okay. When I woke up, I received a phone call around 7:30 AM, then another call around 11:00 AM, and one around 2:30 PM that afternoon. Each caller told me that I needed to accept the call of God upon my life. Here I was, I had to make that decision and I had to make that decision that day. So, I did and started walking in what God

being behind the scenes not with a microphone in front of people. In 2007, after being a nurse for almost 24 years, I was diagnosed with a brain tumor. The doctors said, “You are going to die and there is nothing else we can do for you.” At that point in time, I was unmarried and I told God, “Lord if this is where my life ends then I am okay. I had a fairly decent life with an awesome career. I’m ready.” God spoke to me. He said, “You can not die because your promise is still alive.” I went on this jourcalled me to do. ney with God. God began to refine me and show me my purpose. At this time, God I am still a very shy person. I was more told me that I would be married. I was like, afraid of not doing what God called me to do than to actually do it. That kind of begin I don’t want to be married. I like being by myself. I grew up as the only child. I had my journey. At that time, I was part of a been married before, but I had been single non-denominational church. They had a for seven years. I was content where I was. very large organization. I was there about I wasn’t one of those people that said, “Oh 14 years, training and then I began to transition to a mega church. There I began God, I need a husband.” When God told me this, I kept telling God why I could not get to take on more leadership roles. I began married. to serve my leaders and travel with them. It was the same thing that I had done in the past but on a larger scale. I just moved During this season, there was a lot of change and transition in my life. me, that suddenly changed too. I had to resign from my job as a nurse. Then God wouldn’t allow me to renew my nursing license. Then I had to resign from the position I was in at the church. I was like, “God what is going on?” Everything was changing at the same time. At the time I didn’t realize that one of the things God told me when He released me from the ministry that I was serving at for seven years. He told me, “Your next pastor will be your husband.” God also started sending people to me to tell me, “Your husband is coming soon. It’s going to happen so fast that you won’t even realize what happened. It’s going to happen so fast.” I was like, “Is it today? Is it in two hours? What is so fast?” February 2007 is when I got sick. In December 2008, I went back to visit the original church that my parents were members of and where I was a little girl. I hadn’t been there in thirty years. I hadn’t visited that church nor been in the neighborhood. After three or four months of one of my family members asking me to come to visit, God woke me up and said, “You are visiting the church this Sunday.” My husband was the guest speaker that day. He, another pastor, and a deacon had driven down from Memphis, Tennessee. He ministered and afterward, a group of us went out to lunch. We went to the beach. The same beach we went to, two months later we went back there and got married. I can’t even say a long story because it was

so short. Two months and we were married. It’s been an amazing journey. Even with the area of fear, God turned my pain to become more of my purpose which was really setting women free from fear. God gave my husband the title of my organization: “Fearless Women Global.” My first conference in 2016 was “Fearless Women Global: The Roar of the Lioness.” It’s for women to really find their voice and use it. They need to know that their voice is powerful and valuable. It was really to encourage them to tell their story. Interviewer: Amen. Wow. This is so powerful. I love how the Lord ordered your steps and allowed you guys to meet each other. I have some similarities in my testimony. I had fear for five years. I was bound. Even now, I’m an introvert. I was so encouraged by your testimonies. When you guys talked about the servanthood, I see how you were faithful with someone else’s vision and God gave you guys your own vision. What is the importance of serving? A lot of people just want to go out and do their own thing, but you guys took the long route. You said, “I’m going to be the armor bearer and serve my leaders.” Apostle LaJun: We teach a course in our discipleship institute and it’s Discipleship 101. A couple of different books that we use are Disciples Are Made Not Born and The Lost Art of Discipleship. One of the authors gives the route. He says that you have to become a convert first, then you become a disciple. The word disciple means student, pupil, or learner. Then after you become a student, pupil, or learner, you become a worker. After you become a worker, you become a leader. I always say that a person who becomes a leader before they know how to serve or learn how to work will become a tyrant. If you ever get your own vision before you learn how to work someone else’s vision, you will become a person who is a slave master-slave driver. The scriptures says, “Learn how

“There are times

when we live our lives according to a title that has been placed upon us or a limitation.

to work on someone’s vision.” If you have been an armor or servant to other people, then you don’t bear rule. You really are more compassionate, understanding, and loving. You really aren’t after someone to carry your water, bag, or your book in ministry. You wouldn’t mind carrying your own stuff. We know how to carry our own stuff. We know how to travel alone. We know how to minister when it’s just us. You don’t put a bunch of demands or requirements on other people. When you minister itinerantly and don’t pastor or never serve, then you go places and put a lot of demands on people that you yourself aren’t willing to do. This is why I really believe in people serving, serving leadership, or really beginning to work in ministry. When we go to different meetings and our pastor is there, Apostle Eckhardt, we actually serve. We also serve other people. Sometimes you are serving other people that you are on the same ministerial level. Some people may ask, “Why didn’t you sit down at the table?” It wasn’t my time to sit down at the table. I’m an Apostle. I have three locations and oversee other church-

es. I have other people that I oversee, but I also have to set the example for them of what serving looks like and of what it looks like to be humble enough to serve other people. When you get to the place where you can no longer serve anyone else, you become prideful or arrogant. Then it won’t be long before you find yourself in a fall. Prophetess Valora: Absolutely. I have seen the benefit of serving. It was always my heart to serve. I would serve others in my community. I was a nurse even serving my leaders. It was such a blessing and a privilege for me to do that. Some of the places that I have served my leader when they have gone different places, whether it’s been on television studios like TBN or CTN, it’s so amazing because even during that time I had no desire to be on television, I was just there to serve. Amazingly enough, God would open a door in those very same places. Because I was familiar with the staff, I was familiar with the location and I was there serving prior to; I didn’t use my leader’s name to get that door to open but God Himself opened that door. My husband and I have seen the hand of God. We have seen it! We always say, “Find someone who you can sow into, serve, and submit up under, then you will see the hand of God bless your life.” Interviewer: Amen. I love that. Serve, sow, and submit. That’s a much-needed principle that a lot of people need to hear. That’s awesome how God is so faithful. Prophetess, you dealt with a lot of fear speaking. I know God kept opening up doors for you during the process. How did you overcome that fear? Prophetess Valora: I had to get to the point in my transition where God was redefining me and He was showing me more about myself. There are times when we live our lives according to a title that has been placed upon us or a limitation. For myself, I just mainly saw myself as a nurse. That’s

REJOICE ESSENTIAL MAGAZINE JANUARY 2019

29

30 REJOICE ESSENTIAL MAGAZINE JANUARY 2019

what my role was. That was my title and my focus. “I’m a nurse and that’s what I do. I enjoy doing it.” During the time of transition, when God told me He was releasing me from that, I had to find the other part of me that I didn’t know about. In that process, God began to show me that there was more that He had in store for me. I had to be confident and really renew my mind. I had to really find out from God who I was, more so, than from people who told me who I was. Most of my life growing up, I was always told who I wasn’t. Through the word of God, I found out that I was fearfully and wonderfully made. I was a new creature. He chose me. He knew me before I was in my mother’s womb. He called me as a prophet to the nations. That was true and all the prophetic words would come back to mind. Even when I was in the hospital, God said to me, “You can’t die because your promise is still alive.” I really had to hone in on that and then rely on Holy Spirit to teach and train me. When we started the church, I knew the call as an intercessor, but I wondered, “How do I really cultivate that, not just for

“ That was true

and all the prophetic words would come back to mind.

myself but for other people as well because here we are with a church.” I needed to build that. I needed to build others. God gave me a very simplistic way of training intercessors. Then there was a demand put on me to develop an intercessor’s training manual. I was like, “Oh my goodness. That means that I will have to do some research and ask my husband to help.” He’s an amazing writer and the one who has really pushed me into my purpose. If anyone has really pushed me, it is him. He will say, “There’s more in you.” When we did the first prayer book and workbook, I remember him saying, “Valora, there’s another level of intercession that you need to release.” I’m like, “Oh my goodness. What does that look like?” What is the title going to be?” He said, “I don’t know but I really feel like it has something to do with fearlessness and boldness.” As I began to ponder and pray over it, the Lord gave to me, The Bold Prayer Warrior and the Fearless Intercessor. I began to research it and I couldn’t find it on the internet anywhere. I said, “God, I know this is you.” I’m going to tell you what really helped me. Almost by nature, I’m a true introvert. My husband has taught me that I can’t lead based on my personality. I can’t just say, “I’m having one of those days and don’t want to be around people. I don’t want to minister.” I can’t be a pastor based upon my personality so therefore I have to become all things to all people, so I can gain some. I think I realized each day that I was bought with a price and I am not my own. In those times where I said, “God, I don’t want to do this. I just want to take a break.” I don’t have a choice. That has really pushed me. My husband and spiritual parents have really identified the next level in our lives and call that forth. Interviewer: I like how you guys are so humble. It’s awesome to see and just being connected to the right people is a blessing. How was the transition from a prophet to

“Honey, I blew

up the church, because you don’t know how to build.

pastoring? You both have a prophetic ministry and hear God. Apostle LaJun: I always had a prophetic grace and we pastored for several years before we began to launch out in the fullness of the apostolic where we began to plant other churches or traveling. In my opinion, it is better for you to be stationary and learn how to build because if you go out and start teaching, preaching, and prophesying at everybody else’s church, sometimes you can be like, “Honey, I blew up the church,” because you don’t know how to build. No matter what the gift is, the gift is to build people, the church, or the kingdom. It’s not just about preaching, prophesying, or building your own organizational structure or own ministry, selling your books, or your platform. The real purpose of the itinerary ministry of the apostolic, prophetic, evangelist, pastoral, or teacher is to build the people of God and to build the kingdom. Having the responsibility of shepherding people and having discipleship for us was very important. I remember one of my great friends who is a pastor in Detroit for about 20 plus years said, “One of the things I appreciate about your ministry is when you came, whether

you were teaching on leadership, prophesying, or ministering, as an apostle, you built.” Again, it’s hard to build something when you never walk through that process. It’s like trying to build a house. The scripture talks about being a wise master builder. It’s hard being a wise master builder if you never been on a construction site. It’s hard if you don’t know how to read a blueprint or how the drywall, tile, plumbing, electric lines or electrical pieces should go. You at least have to be around them to know how each of them works. The assignment of an apostle is not just to help build the church but to go in and help them sustain. When we first started, I didn’t have anyone around me that could tell me what I should do. We just built the best way we knew how. The reason why we help people plant churches or business is because we had to go the hard or long route to get it. But now we know to help people shortcut and circumvent some of the processes because of the experiences that we had. We share our experiences with them and as a result, they are able to build and to plant faster and not use as much time and energy. Like the Bewitchment series we are doing, the Gladiator Camp or the Suddenlies we have done previously. Our belief is that everyone doesn’t have to learn from the process we learned from, but they can learn from our experience. Interviewer: That’s awesome that you want to help people and be a blessing to them. A lot of people’s motives aren’t right and don’t want people to know things. You guys aren’t like that. You guys have a love for the people of God. You have vision. Apostle, you were able to see your wife’s next book and what she was called to do. Once God gives you a vision, how do you walk it out? Apostle LaJun: We have a company called, “Exponential Group Global.” We teach leadership, marketing, and strategic plan-

ning. My wife has an undergrad in leadership and a minor in public administration. She is one class away from her Master’s. She has an MBA from South Eastern. An MBA in the concentration organization of leadership. I was in the military thirteen years and undergrad in religion minor leadership, and a lot of years in corporate America dealing with operations. Not just corporate America but the non-profit sector and helping other pastors with their churches. What has helped me is understanding how to take a vision from creation to manifestation to actually thriving. There are a lot of people who come up with ideas or business ideas every day

They have expensive hobbies.

and don’t make any money. They have expensive hobbies. They spend lots of money to make something happen but no one has ever taught them how to connect or connect with the right people, or how to build the right relationships that are authentic. Everybody can tell when you are only in a relationship with them to get something out of them or just using them as the next stepping stone. You can really build authentic relationships and connect with people who have the same heartbeat and thought process and begin to really get your information out there in the marketplace, let people know, and be consistent. One of the books that I always tell people to read is called Four Disciplines of Execution by Sean Cobey, Jim Huling, Chris McChesney. In our exponential leadership process, we always tell people there are about five things that affect every organization. The things that affect them is the leader, the team that they have, the leader has to have great vision, great persistence, great perseverance, and the right team. You can have a great leader and a terrible team and not go anywhere. You can have a great team and a terrible leader, and you still won’t go anywhere. If you have a great team with a great leader and put that together with a great vision then great vision tasking, then put together a great plan and great execution of that plan, you will always find success. Those five factors are what I believe will make any organization

successful. Also having continual feedback is good. Feedback is the breakfast of champions. When you have the right team around you, you don’t have to have all the answers or the solutions. You just have to have the right people around you who are qualified and have the wisdom to do it. Just listen to them. This is why I found greater success which was putting the right people, selecting them, praying for them, and believing God for the right people to be around me. When they come, let them do what they are anointed to do. You just support them and push them into what they are anointed to do. You will find success. Interviewer: You guys provide leadership training as well because I have seen a Facebook video of your teaching. Apostle LaJun: Yes. The website is www. exponentialglobal.net and if you go to the bottom of our www.lajunandvalora.com, you will see Fearless Women Global, Contagious Church, Exponential Group Global, Discipleship Training Institute, and The Gladiator Camp. Prophetess Valora: Absolutely. It took another level of education even for myself. I wanted to get my Master’s in nursing, but God told me no. He told me that was not His plan for me. When God took me back to school, it had nothing to do with nursing. God led me back to school for undergrad in leadership and

to minor in public administration. God was redefining me. We both went back to school together. With that, God was showing us the other things that He had in store for the both of us. Besides being a pastor, which is an amazing call of God, there were businesses inside of us. There were businesses inside of me that I didn’t know about. There were some things that my husband saw years prior and now we’re seeing the fulfillment of it. I say that he was waiting on his rib. There were things that we could do individually, but God had greater things for us to do together. Going back to school has opened so many doors outside of the church. We were called to go to the Philippines to speak at the largest law school there. We were also called to speak to the Army Reserves in Orlando, FL. My husband and I both taught on leadership. What was so valuable to us, is when the opportunity came, we took it by going back to school. We had to pay for those classes, we had to do the work. We

35

36 REJOICE ESSENTIAL MAGAZINE JANUARY 2019

had to write papers (which I didn’t always like). We had to take those classes to prove ourselves. You know, that was part of the process for God to define us, redefine us, and prepare us. One of the things God would tell us is that He was opening great doors of us. We all have heard that in one area or another in our lives. You know that God is taking you to greater places. We have to sometimes prepare ourselves for the greater places. God gives us the promise, but we are required to make it successful. Interviewer: I love your answers. I know that both you guys are both skilled in your training. You both started a spiritual warfare training program, so I wanted to ask you guys, what is a key to do spiritual warfare effectively? Prophetess Valora: One of the ways that we present spiritual warfare is an amazing way due to my husband’s years of military experience. He was able to allow people to see warfare from a different perspective through the military. Sometimes we can “churchify” everything. We tend to make things so religious sometimes that people can’t get or comprehend it. You know, how do you talk to the baptist person about spiritual warfare? We were able to bring it in a different light then what the church sometimes brings it in, so that it can be balanced. But he has an amazing way in presenting spiritual warfare. Apostle Lajun: You can tell that she really loves her husband. My answer to that answer to that question is that you can acknowledge that there is spiritual warfare, or, not acknowledge that there is spiritual warfare. However, either way it goes, you're going to deal with it. There are people that believe there are no demons and some who think Christians can’t have demons. I do believe that the Holy Spirit cannot be impacted by a demon. I do believe that, but I also believe that we dealing

with different forces. For example, we are doing a series on being “bewitched” where the apostle Paul in Galatians 3:1 shares that people are being bewitched. This just doesn’t only happen in the church, it also happens in government, business, Hollywood, personal relationships, marriages, and in every aspect of our life. So, we did that spiritual warfare course. We do a class called “Gladiator Camp”. That’s on our website as well. Then we have a website called www.gladiatorcamp.org. We pray in areas of spiritual warfare, prophetic and intercession. I do believe that all of these go together. We need the prophetic because you need to be able to hear from God. You also need to be able to discern and defeat the voices from the enemy that try to defeat you. You also need to be able to pray through some of these things. They really all go together. Sometimes, we separate them, but I believe they all work together. I said that to say, that spiritual warfare is very real. I believe that every person alive (not just every believer) has dealt with spiritual warfare on some level

or another. It’s important that we learn how to fight, stand, defeat the enemy, and learn how to deal with all of those things that will come at you daily. Interviewer: Great answer. A lot of people desire to do ministry with their spouse but don’t know how. How do you find your role in marriage when it comes to doing ministry together? Apostle Lajun: Everything that my wife has done was in her before we met. Things that she is doing has been birthed out of her devotion and commitment to help me meet my assignment in the earth. My wife has always supported me in everything we have done. She was my first armor bearer, intercessor, and cheerleader. I always had this principle which is that if I died tomorrow, I want to make sure my wife can continue and do everything that she is called to do.

cally.

When we are teaching couples, I always say that a husband’s role is to bring out of his wife the best version of herself that she can be so she feels empowered. The worst thing is to be married to someone and feel like you have lost yourself and you are not being who you are supposed to be because they have been satisfied with you only supporting them. You have to get to a place where you aren’t only supporting them but get to a place synergisti-

She wrote a couple of books and we always publish them together. There’s a couple of books that I wrote and that she wrote. We just put both of our names on them. There was one time where she asked, “Baby, will you help me?” I never helped her because I wanted to pull out of her and I wanted her to become the fullness of what she can be. My wife does a morning prayer call Monday through Friday and I never get on there. The reason I never get on there is not that I can’t wake up at 5:00 AM to get on there because I’ve been waking up praying at 5:00 AM for fifteen or twenty years. The reason is that I want her to have her own sense of identity and her own ministry. With me, I don’t have a ministry besides my wife. The rib was pulled out of Adam. I think there should be some-

REJOICE ESSENTIAL MAGAZINE JANUARY 2019

thing that was pulled out of me and out of what we do that was birthed in what she is called to do. Interviewer: That’s why I think it’s important to marry the right person. It’s awesome to hear how you guys support one another. I meet people who married the wrong person and they weren’t able to fulfill their ministry. Apostle LaJun: I agree. I totally agree. Prophetess Valora: Yes. We were just talking about that not too long ago. We understand. We are sometimes the exception to the norm because you don’t see a lot of that. You don’t see a lot of couples who are active together in ministry or business at the same time. Apostle LaJun: We don’t speak apart. If she is going to do something, then I will go with her. If I am going to do something, then she comes with me.

Prophetess Valora: Right. Apostle LaJun: We don’t even let people book us apart from each other. You can but even if she is booked separately, then I am still going. Even if I am booked separately, then I am still going. I don’t care where it is, we are going together because that’s just how we move. We don’t do things apart because in my opinion, that how you see a lot of marriages divorce. If you are married, then you need your spouse to be traveling with you if you can. We understand if you have children and it won’t work. For us, our children are grown: 18, 19, 24, and 27. They are older and out of the home. There is no reason for my wife to stay at home. If she is going somewhere, then I am her armor bearer. I am pushing her and carrying her bag. I am making sure she is okay because I feel like that is my primary responsibility. Interviewer: That’s awesome to be best friends. God knew what He was doing. Prophetess Valora: Yes amazing. Interviewer: It’s very encouraging for people who want to do ministry with their spouse. It is possible. With God all things are possible. How can we grow in our spiritual gifts? Apostle LaJun: The best way to grow is to use them. I know that sounds simple but if you are going to grow in the prophetic, then you have to prophesy. To grow in spiritual warfare, you have to encoun-

God, He never changes but He will never leave us the same. We always have to grow. We always have to change. Change is inevitable in all our lives. We have to know that. I was just talking on the phone with someone earlier and they are leaving a Baptist background. It’s hard for them to leave friends. When God releases you, I don’t care what you do, you can’t get comfortable in the mundane. God will always cause us to be uncomfortable to get to our next level. The call of God on your life will not just cost you something but it will cost you everything. You will have to give more than you anticipated but also God will give you more than you asked for. Interviewer: Yes, that’s so true. I know you guys are passionate about prayer. When did your passion for prayer begin?

ter demons and cast them out. If you are going to grow in discernment, then you have to encounter situations where you can discern God or the enemy. I think there are some things where we can’t do quickly but we have to do over a process of time because even maturity causes us to see things differently than we have seen them in the past. Prophetess Valora: I certainly concur about what he says in walking in spiritual gifts. Even being in an environment, sometimes people are comfortable in where they were. One thing that I know about

Apostle LaJun: I think mines starting when I got in situations that I had to pray. Prophetess Valora: (Laughs) Interviewer: (Laughs) Apostle LaJun: My first encounter with prayer is when I was a little boy. It was Thanksgiving and I had chicken pox. I had to bathe and when you put water on chicken pox sores, they spread then it scabs up. I had some on my mouth. I prayed, “Lord, please let these scabs come off so I can eat Thanksgiving dinner.” The Lord healed

REJOICE ESSENTIAL MAGAZINE JANUARY 2019

me. The sores literally begin to dry up. The scabs began to come off and I was able to eat Thanksgiving dinner. That was my first testimony of healing. God is an amazing healer. After that, there were certain other amazing times in my life. Once I was in the military, I prayed and asked God to keep my grandmother alive and heal her and He did. She had two strokes and a heart attack. Fourteen days later she was actually up walking and you couldn’t tell that she had been sick. She came out of the coma. We have documented cases of when we went to go pray for people especially in areas of healing. I walked into a car dealership to buy a used car. The salesman told me that his wife was going to the doctor for a tumor to be removed. I said, “I’m going to pray for her.” I prayed for her and she went back to the doctor the next morning. The doctor couldn’t find the tumor. The same thing happened when we were in Gainesville, Florida. This guy was in an accident and didn’t wear a motorcycle helmet. His brother-in-law was a member of our church. We waited a minute and went up to pray for him. I asked the Lord to show us that He was going to heal him and to allow his cranial pressure to go down. His cranial pressure went down. I think it was 91. I said, “Lord, if that was you then let it go down again.” His cranial pressure went down some more. I knew it was God and about a week or so later, this man was actually out of the hospital and walking again. My wife has also prophesied to people. Someone’s brother was in a coma. She said, “Nope. It’s not over. God is not done.” She prayed for them and the results were healing. This has happened a lot. We don’t just want to be praying and never see results but we want to pray and see results when we pray for stuff. Interviewer: Hallelujah! Amen. Prophetess Valora: Even as a child, I always wanted to learn how to pray. It was

There was not a whole lot of demonstration of power.

just something that was on my heart but again I was so shy, I didn’t even pray out loud to God. Even in my own room by myself, I would be writing letters. I’m so grateful that God answered those letters but there was such a passion to pray, to learn how to pray. I wanted to learn how to commune with God even as a child. I grew up in a denominational church and I would hear them pray the problem. They were always begging God. They were always like please God do this or do that. Please heal me if it’s your will. I didn’t understand why that bothered me but as I grew older, God allowed me to take part in a ladies fellowship. Most of the people in this fellowship were of a different ethnicity. The church that I was in was very religious. You couldn’t wear this or that. There was not a whole lot of demonstration of power. There was a lot of jumping and shouting. When I went to this ladies fellowship, they didn’t look like me or dress like me but they had power. You could feel the power of God in their prayers. I was like, I want to know how to pray like that. I started reading Charles Capp books and Norvel Hayes. I tried to buy every book that I could find on prayer and just learn. Therefore, I wanted everyone else to learn how to pray. God really continued that passion in my life. I really want people to understand what prayer truly is and how to really commune with God. Prayer is just not asking God for something. I really want people to learn how to intercede,

41

42 REJOICE ESSENTIAL MAGAZINE JANUARY 2019

walk in purpose, and that prayer does change things. It is a tool that God gives to us. It is a privilege and our right. We can go boldly before His throne to find mercy and grace in our time of need. I’ve seen the hand of God in my life and through my life. I have seen God heal people that were my patients. I was like, “God, I’m working myself out of a job.” (Laughs) It’s been an amazing journey.

United States. It really took off. The owner of Destiny Image said, “LaJun, I want to publish that book.” They re-published the book and gave it the name “Sudden Breakthrough.” We have countless testimonies of the ‘suddenly’. That is one thing that we are promoting.

Interviewer: Amen. That’s so encouraging. Those are some amazing testimonies. Do you have any upcoming events?

Prophetess Valora: Thank you so much for reaching out to us. It was an honor to be here with you.

Apostle LaJun: Apostle Eckhardt is doing an event this month. We have a “Suddenly” conference next month in February. That’s in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Apostle LaJun: Thank you so much and Tron Moses for the interview.

Prophetess Valora: We just released a book called Sudden Breakthrough that was published by Destiny Image. We wrote a book last January. We were at the “Reset Conference” with John Eckhardt in Houston, Texas. There we started a midnight cry where we were praying a night. It’s was probably on the third night that God spoke to my husband and said, “Tell my people that I am resetting them suddenly.” My husband said, “Well we will move on to something else.” The people were like, “No, no, no. There is something about suddenly. You need to stay on suddenly.” As we began to study it through the Word of God, look at it and some of the synonyms, we learned that suddenly means immediately. There were certain incidents where Jesus healed suddenly. We saw how Jesus healed the woman with the issue of blood suddenly. We started making declarations about it and people said, “We need that in a book.” In three weeks we had the book done and we announced it on my husband’s birthday, February 25th. When ‘suddenly’ hit for us, we weren’t prepared for ‘suddenly’. That one word literally took us around the world: Australia, Philippines, Trinidad, and different cities within the

8 KEYS TO ABUNDANCE By Lindsey Morales

8 KEYS TO ABUNDANCE: HOW TO LIVE AN ABUNDANT LIFE These are the eight keys to abundance. You’ll find that if you follow these keys and apply them to your life, God will begin to demonstrate abundance in your life. Abundance is so much more than financial wealth. It is wealth and prosperity in all areas of your life - from your career to your marriage, from divine connections to home ownership, etc. God wants us to live life abundantly because it demonstrates in the world His riches and glory. In this article, I’m going to give you eight keys to living an abundant life.

1.

BE GRATEFUL

We should wake up every day with gratitude. Being grateful acknowledges God for all He has done in our lives. I believe that gratitude is a major key to abundance because it shows we are content with what we have and how we’ve grown. If you are not content with where you are now, being 30 pounds lighter or having a million dollars in the bank won’t make you happy either. God wants us to make the most out of every stage of our lives. You may have heard of some people keeping gratitude journals. If you haven’t, I’m going to share with you why that is a great way to start or end your day. All you need

43

44 REJOICE ESSENTIAL MAGAZINE JANUARY 2019

is a notebook. You can write Gratitude on the front. This journal is specifically for you to write down every day the things for which you are grateful. Make a list of at least 20 things a day. You can start your day doing this or you can end your day doing this. You could even go into your prayer time thanking the Lord for all He has done that day or the day before. Psalm 66:8-12 “Oh, bless our God, you peoples! And make the voice of His praise to be heard, Who keeps our soul among the living, And does not allow our feet to be moved. For You, O God, have tested us; You have refined us as silver is refined. You brought us into the net; You laid affliction on our backs. You have caused men to ride over our heads; We went through fire and through water; But You brought us out to rich fulfillment.” 2. GIVE In 2 Corinthians 9:7, the word says “for God loves a cheerful giver.” There is no way to be a cheerful giver if you are living with bitterness and unforgiveness in your heart. To give is to show who our Father in heaven is. To give is to love, and God is love. So when we are giving, we are demonstrating God’s love for mankind. Giving is a key to abundance because it activates the spirit and can be a great way to evangelize to unbelievers. Create a goal with the number of people to whom you would like to give each month. Write a list of how you want to give whether you choose to freely share your talents, money, or time. Be generous and give from your heart. We all have much to give. Where people get confused is when they equate giving with finances. If they have little to no finances, they won’t give. Be creative in your giving and start giving like you never have before.

Luke 6:38 “Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.” 3. WORK James 2:14 “What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?” So as a Life Coach, I’ve primarily worked with women from 24 to 55 years old. The younger generation sometimes has challenges with this concept. It may be due to growing up with instant gratification, whether it be fast food or becoming an instant social media celebrity. They tend to get discouraged when they have to work a while to see their goals come to fruition. When I began my career as a Life Coach, I had a hard time staying motivated if the end result I wanted wouldn’t come as quick as I liked. A mentor of mine once told me “trust the process” when it comes to building a coaching business. I took that with me to all areas of my life that are new and developing. Trusting the process is putting in the work even when we don’t see the results we want. We must put in the work to see God’s purpose for our lives to be fulfilled. If we are asking God to bless us but we are not willing to work for the blessings, then we will not receive it in its fullness. God speaks against not working and being lazy. 2 Thessalonians 3:10 “For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: If anyone will not work, neither shall he eat.” Psalm 65:11 “You crown the year with Your goodness, And Your paths drip with abundance.”

REJOICE ESSENTIAL MAGAZINE JANUARY 2019

A mentor of mine once told me “trust the process” when it comes to building a coaching business.

If you want to live an abundant life you have to work as though you are working for the Lord. 4. RECEIVE How well are you receiving what God is doing in your life? To receive is a powerful act that is often overlooked by children of God and nonbelievers alike. We tend to measure a person’s success by what they can give. We tend to push ourselves to give, feel guilty for not giving, or feel used when we give too much. The Lord has shown me the reason why people feel used when they give is that their giving is one-sided. They’re giving to show how good of a person they are but feel used because the other person is not reciprocating or is not grateful. God wants us to discern when it is time to give and when it is time to receive. The Lord showed me this year in my coaching practice to teach people that giving and re-

ceiving go hand in hand when it comes to living an abundant life. In order to freely give, one cannot be blocked from receiving. I want to suggest that you journal all the areas in your life that you know are blocked off from receiving. Maybe the block is caused by mistrust, or maybe it is a fear of rejection. The Lord wants us to first deal with the areas where we stumble, so He can then step in and give us what we need. I often give clients affirmations or declarations to speak over themselves when they’ve identified a block. When you’ve identified a block in receiving love, encouragement, or support from others, say this: “I am open to receive all that God has planned for my abundant life.” Philippians 4:19 “And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” 5. BELIEVE Our beliefs give us drive and motivation to take action or not to take action. If we don’t believe we are educated enough, good enough, smart enough, or rich enough, we won’t step outside of our comfort zones and try something new. As Christians, we are to believe that we have everything we need to live a full life. In the book The Go-Giver by Bob Burg and John David Mann, a character says to a man he is mentoring, “You can’t always get what you want, but you will get what you expect.” Do you expect God to supply all your needs? Do you expect the work of your hands to be blessed? Or do you simply hope in God? I always tell my clients hope should be the last resort. Faith always comes first.

45

Hebrews 11:6

Matthew 6:33

“But without faith, it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” To unlock abundance in your life you must dare to believe “You Have All You Need”.

“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”

2 Corinthians 9:8 “And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.” 6. SEEK GOD In my own spiritual walk, I have come to notice the Lord first calls us deeper unto Him by teaching us who He is. For example, He shows us His names, His character, His heart, and His mind. Then He begins to show us who we are and who He has called us to be as individuals. When you know God in spirit and in truth, you will find your identity in Him. After you have earned His trust and you’ve shown Him you are able to steward your current level, He will begin to call you higher. When He calls you higher there is no longer that identity doubt. Regardless of where we are in Christ, we are to seek God first in all areas of our lives. I remember when I first started my coaching practice, I separated my professional work with my faith. I wasn’t as open with my Christian faith for fear that I would scare people away. At the time my faith wasn’t built to the place it is now. Today, I know that spiritual work is just as important, if not more important, than the business and sales strategies for success. Everything changed when I began to seek God first in not only my life but my business. God gives abundance, so you can’t get to abundance without seeking Him.

7. WALK After you have received a vision from God, the next step is to walk into it. I see a lot of people stumble when they don’t act and instead they wait for the next vision or a set of detailed instructions. I teach my clients that some clarity only comes when we begin to walk into what God has already given us. When we come out of our comfort zones and start our faith walk, that is when God will begin to reveal more. If you are one of those people who is sitting on a vision, I want to encourage you to ACT. What does that look like? Well, for example, say God has given you a vision or dream of yourself on a stage speaking to an auditorium filled with thousands of people. You’ll begin to ask questions such as “How will that happen?”, “Who wants to hear me speak?”, or “What am I going to talk about?” It is at this point where people become stagnant because the vision seems so far away from where they are today that they just reject it or even doubt the vision. If this is you, or has been in the past, I want to give you your next steps to get you to take action on your vision. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5.

Write down the vision Review the vision Pray over the vision Journal your next steps Do things to get you closer to the vision

Matthew 14:28-31 “Lord, if it’s you,” Peter replied, “tell me to come to you on the water.” “Come,” he said. Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came to-

REJOICE ESSENTIAL MAGAZINE JANUARY 2019

ward Jesus. But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me! “Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. “You of little faith,” he said, “why did you doubt?” 8. LOVE Every time I close out a Facebook video I always end the broadcast by saying “Remember, the more love you give the more love you receive.” I say that because love is such a powerful force that cannot be broken. 1 John 4:7-8 “Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. 8 Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love.” We are to love our neighbors, love God, and also love ourselves. These three things demonstrate God’s standards and views regarding how we are to operate on Earth. Love is an important action that we as followers of Christ should do on a daily basis. There are many variables to love, but for this article, I want to focus on trust and forgiveness. More specifically, trusting God and practicing forgiveness. When you trust God, you will become more obedient to Him, and as you may have heard some pastors say, “radical obedience, brings radical blessing.” When you trust God you will begin to love more, despite past hurt and pain. Now let’s talk about forgiveness. We love God so we forgive. We love ourselves so we forgive. We love people so we forgive. Lack of forgiveness can be the one thing that is blocking you from living an abundant life. To forgive is to love unconditionally. Unconditional love can active an abundance of joy in your life.

Let’s put forgiveness into practice. Who do you need to forgive? Do you need to forgive yourself? Do you need to forgive God? Write the answers down on a sheet a paper in your devotional time and listen to what the Lord is saying to you. John 10:10 “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” Lindsey Morales, Life Transformation Coach, Founder of Meta Vida Coaching CoachLindsey@MetaVidaCoaching.com LindseyMorales.com

DEATH COMES KNOCKING By Shirley Cooper

"It is appointed for men once to die, and after this the judgment" (Hebrews 9:27)

Universe, then why can't He recover life in those we love?

Who doesn't wonder about death? I think that everyone wonders every now and then, where we go after death, when will it happen, is it forever, and so on. It's pretty clear that it will happen eventually and there is nothing that can stop it. So why do we pray to ask God to intervene when a loved one is at death's corner?

If there is one thing I've learned in my Christian walk, it is that unless it aligns with God's perfect plan or His Divine appointment, He won't even go that route. God is perfect and in His perfection, He holds a perfect plan for all those who are willing to obey.

The answer is quite simple: because we know who the Creator is, and we know what the Creator can do. We just know. We know that God can control the outcome of every situation, but what we cannot understand is why doesn't He stop death when we ask Him to? If He controls the

"It is appointed for men once to die, and after this the judgment"(Hebrews 9:27) In this biblical truth, we find that death is unavoidable, while some of us believe that death is unlikely! The comical way of thinking is that we have "birth control," but not "death control." But again, I do say that

with sarcasm. I mean, it's death, right? We need some humor here, or death might just come knocking quickly. Like it or not, death is inevitable. And all of us, sooner or later, must keep a personal, unavoidable, appointment with death. The cold hard truth here is that none of us are exceptions to the rule of death! When it comes, it's most likely coming for us with a notice claiming our souls for either Heavenly purpose or hell’s gates. When Hebrews 9:27 says, "once" it simply teaches that you don't get a second chance at life and death. It's a done deal. Ever hear people say, "You only die once?" Well, the truth here is that they usually mean that you might as well live recklessly here on earth because you're only going to live this life once. As good as this may sound for the moment, the real truth tells us that, we have one life on earth, that leads us to eternal life in Heaven or eternal death in hell. The choice is ours. Dear friends, I urge you, as foreigners and exiles, to abstain from sinful desires, which wage war against your soul. (1 Peter 2:11) Going by the last sentence in the scripture above, we can gather that our souls are always at risk on this earth. But the great news is there is a simple solution. For those who seek and follow Jesus, there lies, beyond death, "an inheritance imperishable... reserved in heaven" (1 Peter 1:3-9). With Jesus, there is life after death!! The ONE death and ONE life that we have here eventually leads us to the eternal life or eternal death that God talks about. Our Divine purpose that takes us to our soul's destiny. It's our choice and we have ONE chance to get it right, and we should not be reckless about it.

While death is a “hard experience to go through, it can be conquered for the spiritual realm.

There is no second chance after death. Hebrews 9:27 is telling us precisely what there is after death: "the judgment". But those "in Christ" need not fear because "there is no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus" (Romans 8:1). However, there is death for those who refuse or neglect that solution. They are counted as ungodly, irreligious, and unprepared. They have everything to fear (John 5:28-29), (Matthew 25:31-46). We need to remember the next time we want to live life recklessly because of the infamous quotes we live by, "we only die once" or "YOLO," that it is appointed for men once to die and after that, the judgment. Death is appointed, and you are no exception. You only die once and death is not the end; it is your destiny’s door. While death is a hard experience to go through, it can be conquered for the spiritual realm. God knows that this life can devour us and keep us from our Divine appointment, but He also gave us the antidote. The quick fix. The simple solution to the one time death we face here, the spiri-

tual death, and life we'll experience later. My mom, Carmen, my dad Simon, my father in law, John, my daughter, Summer, and my grandbaby, Madison, have all reached the hope that I am fighting so hard to reach, but I know that one day I will see them again if I continue to run the race that Paul talks about in 1 Corinthians 9:24. While the quick fix to death is Christ, running the race towards that finish line is a little more difficult. Yes, there are things we must give up, and things we need to watch. Our lives here give us the free will to accept the things we are faced with or fight against them. Free will gives us the option to do good or do bad, live right or live wrong, or walk in desperation or stand in victory. We are free. But we are given a choice. Ultimately that choice will lead us to death eternal or life eternal. That choice determines if we are bound by love or bound by hate, guided by God or misguided by satan. Life is a precious thing and it's not to be taken advantage of, and death is an experience that nobody wants, but while we were created to live, death for us is inevitable. It's coming, and it's not waiting for anyone. In the end, God says who stays and who goes. Not the doctors, not science, not people - ONLY God. And without Christ THERE IS NO LIFE!!! For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16)

The cold hard “truth here is that

none of us are exceptions to the rule of death! Life is a precious thing and it's not to be taken advantage of, and death is an experience that nobody wants, but while we were created to live, death for us is inevitable.
