3 SIGNS OF RELOCATION By Kimberly Hargraves
According to Merriam Webster relocation means to move to a new place and establish one’s home or business there. Some synonyms of the word relocation is to move, migrate, and go.
God blessed the widow and her son and none of the flour and oil dried up because she obeyed the word of the Lord and she was blessed because she blessed the prophet.
Examples of relocation is when Abraham received a promised from God. He had to relocate in order to receive the promise (Genesis 12:1-3). Jacob had to relocate as well in Genesis 46 1:4. God spoke to Jacob in a dream and gave him a promise then he obeyed and went to Egypt. He was old and moved his whole family. Elijah relocated in 1 Kings 17 when he was by the brook and it dried up because his provision was somewhere else. He had a new assignment which was a widow at her last and she needed to access that mantle he carried.
Here are three ways God works to relocate us. 1) Interruption of Our Plans • In Acts 16:6-10, Apostle Paul wanted to go to Asia but the Holy Spirit didn’t want him to go. The Holy Spirit had him go to Macedonia instead. Sometimes the things we want to do for God aren’t in God’s will for our lives. Just because you are zealous for God like Apostle Paul was doesn’t mean that it’s in his plans for you. 2) Resources will dry up
• During the famine, God looked after Elijah. He gave him specific instruction relative to how he would be sustained. “Then the word of the Lord came to him, saying, ‘Get away from here and turn eastward, and hide by the Brook Cherith, which flows into the Jordan. And it will be that you shall drink from the brook, and I have commanded the ravens to feed you there.’ So he went and did according to the word of the Lord, for he went and stayed by the Brook Cherith, which flows into the Jordan. The ravens brought him bread and meat in the morning, and bread and meat in the evening; and he drank from the brook” (1 Kings 17:2-6). However, the day would come when the brook would run dry and the birds would no longer fly (see 1 Kin. 17:7). Although Elijah had come to depend on such provision, God seemed to have no compunction at all cutting off these resources. You struggle to make ends meet and you do not know how you are going to keep going. During such a time, trust that the Lord will soon speak to you like He did to Elijah. “Then the word of the Lord came to him, saying, ‘Arise, go to Zarephath, which belongs to Sidon, and dwell there. See, I have commanded a widow there to provide for you’” (1 Kin. 17:8-9). You will see that the place where He leads you will be the place where He feeds you. Where the Lord guides, He provides! 3) Relationships solved

• In Genesis 13, Abraham and Lot separated because of the strife between their herdsmen. They both had to relocate. God prospered Abraham.

MY IDENTITY IS FOUND IN CHRIST By Reynaldo Rodriguez
Getting right with God always begins with settling once and for all the fact that God is your loving Father and you are His accepted child. That is the foundational truth from which you live. You are a child of God; you are created in His image; you have been justified and position ally declared righteous by Him because of Christ finished work and your faith in Him. As long as you believe that and walk accordingly, your daily experience of practical Christianity will result in spiritual growth and maturity in your identity in Christ. You will struggle, though, if you question the finished work of Christ,
and try to become somebody you already are. We don’t serve God to gain His acceptance; we are accepted, so we serve God. We don’t follow Him to be loved; we are loved, so we follow Him. It is not what we do that determines who we are; it is who we are that determines what we do: “Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is.” (1 John 3: 2). That is why you are called to live by faith, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel,
because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile. For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed—a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.” (Romans 1: 16 – 17). To live the victorious Christian life you have to believe what is already true about you. Will you have opposition to believing this truth? Of course! The father of lies, (John 8: 44) has deceived the whole world, “The great dragon was hurled down—that
REJOICE ESSENTIAL MAGAZINE JULY 2017
ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him.” (Revelation 12: 9), and he accuses the brethren day and night. If that isn’t enough, others will put you down. We have to keep reminding ourselves of these positional truths. “Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,” (Romans 5: 1) What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? By no means! We are those who have died to sin; how can we live in it any longer? Or don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life. For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly also be united with him in a resurrection like his. For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with that we should no longer be slaves to sin— “ (Romans 6: 1 – 6) “Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus,” (Romans 8: 1) “It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has
become for us wisdom from God—that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption.” (1 Corinthians 1: 30) “What we have received is not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may understand what God has freely given us. This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, explaining spiritual realities with Spirit-taught words. The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit. The person with the Spirit makes judgments about all things, but such a person is not subject to merely human judgments,” (1 Corinthians 2: 12 – 15) “for, “Who has known the mind of the Lord to instruct him?” But we have the mind of Christ.” (1 Corinthians 2: 16) “Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.” (1 Corinthians 6: 19 – 20) “Now it is God who makes both us and you stand firm in Christ. He anointed us, set his seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit,
guaranteeing what is to come.” (2 Corinthians 1: 21 – 22) “And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession—to the praise of his glory.” (Ephesians 1: 13 – 14) “For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. And he died for all that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again.” (2 Corinthians 5: 14 – 15) “God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.” (2 Corinthians 5: 21) “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” (Galatians 2: 20) “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.” (Ephesians 1: 3)

“he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will—“ (Ephesians 1: 5)
“His intent was that now, through the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms, according to his eternal purpose that he accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord. In him and through faith in him we may approach God with freedom and confidence.” (Ephesians 3: 10 – 12)
“I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better.” (Ephesians 1: 17) “But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved.” (Ephesians 2: 4 – 5) “And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—“ (Ephesians 2: 6 – 8) “He came and preached peace to you who were far away and peace to those who were near. For through him we both have access to the Father byone Spirit. Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God’s people and also members of his household, built on the foundation of

NEW THINGS By Kimberly Hargraves started doing it a few months ago unaware. One day, I ate a ton of sweets and felt so guilty. My mind began to ponder, “How many other people eat like I do but need the motivation to exercise?” I was talking to a close friend of mine and he suggested that I start doing exercise videos.
Many of you have been hearing the saying, “New Things.” I want to discuss all the new things that the Lord is doing in my life. Well blogging is my new thing. I want to blog to connect with readers. I love to write and I find it very therapeutic. I always wrote tons of articles, especially research papers in undergrad. I can recall writing twenty-five page articles in a short amount of time for my biology classes. I would just turn on the television and watch Lifetime all day as I typed away. Years later when I encountered a life crisis, I started writing intensely. Now, I have written thirteen books in three years. I even founded a magazine called,
“Rejoice Essential.” I am amazed at what God has done in my life. One day I was laying on the couch praying to die. I heard the voice of the Lord. He said, “It’s not your time yet to die and you have work to do.” Immediately those words melted all the discouragement off me. Miraculously, I didn’t want to die anymore. So, I said, “Lord, you are right.” I logged on the computer and begin to write. Every time I felt like crying, I wrote another chapter in one of my books. Vlogging is also another new thing that I am doing. I actually
The world of vlogging began for me. I vlogged me going to the mall, cooking, shopping, washing my hair and hanging up with my friends and family. It’s fun. My pastor was amazed. He asked me, “How much time does it take to do that?” I told him not long. When I vlog, I don’t care about how I look. My hair has been so nappy at times but the people love to watch my life. Many people are encouraged and inspired by watching my life. I just vlog through my cell phone for now but one day, I know someone will bless me with a vlog camera. Another new thing in my life is my relationship. I had giving up on love. Now I am about to get married! Yes, I am engaged to my best friend. I am in love and it feels good! We started off as friends and this man has seen me at my worst. Lol! Over time,
REJOICE ESSENTIAL MAGAZINE JULY 2017
we started developing feelings for one another. When I went home to the Carolinas in the month of March, he proposed. He met my family and they loved him. I met his family and they loved me. Just when I felt like I would never be happy or that I would stay single forever, then a relationship evolved. That’s God! My blessing was right under my nose. My fiancé tells me that I am beautiful every day and he listens and supports me. Now that’s a new thing! For a long time, I had low self-esteem but I allow God to heal my heart and he sent me a true man of God. My ministry is experiencing some new things as well. This year is the first year where people are investing in me to travel to their churches to preach. I have a few prophetic conferences that I have to speak at the end of the year but haven’t announced it yet publicly. I waited years for the opportunity to speak and to travel and it’s amazing to see it all manifest. The Lord has me doing intense trainings and webinars. I love to teach. I can teach for hours. The Help! I am single and need help preparing for Boaz was such a great success. It was an online conference and we will have the replay available for purchase. I have developed prophetic training and I can teach on that for days. I have also developed a life changing workshop for women called “Help Me Become That Proverbs 31 woman”. My mind is bursting with new ideas. However, it seems like everything is drying
up around me and that’s a big spiritual indication that it’s time to relocate. So, let’s talk about the move. Currently, I am in the process of packing. I live on the 2nd floor of my apartment complex. It’s not easy to move by yourself. My good friend Vanessa and her husband said they will help me and I will gladly take them up on that offer. Last week, I was moving this heavy dresser set down the hall to throw it away. The elevator was broken, so I knew I had to go down the stairs with it. I was struggling, and I was praying that I wouldn’t hurt myself. Just at that moment, a man came out of nowhere and helped me carry the dresser down the stairs and to the trash dump. Moving by myself is a new thing for me. In the past, my ex would help me and my family. I decided to pack a little at a time and trust the Lord to replenish everything that I have to throw away. Cooking new things and eating new things is currently what I am doing. After going through a divorce, I stopped cooking. I would just make ramen or baked tilapia. I had stopped making enchiladas, fried chicken, devil eggs, baked homemade macaroni and cheese, lasagna, eggplant parmesan, etc. I no longer made homemade meals. I would just cook French fries and chicken nuggets, hot dogs, nachos, and frozen pizzas for my kids and me. It wasn’t until last year where I decided to get up and do something good for my-
self. I went into the kitchen and cooked like I had a husband. I even joined a food group online! For thanksgiving, I made everything! Turkey, ham, dressing, potato salad, yams, etc. It took me forever to eat it. It was fun to do. I am looking forward to cooking for my new husband. We like to cook our home-made versions of chipotle. I hate to admit this but I started eating steak again. I went years without eating beef. I prefer vegetarian dishes but to make peace; I tried a little beef. All new things aren’t bad things. I am embracing my new. I released a book called, “Empowering The New Me:50 Tips To Becoming A Godly Women” in February 2017. It has blessed so many women. Here I am an ex-stripper preaching the gospel. Wow! Now that’s a new thing. I am no longer that sinful woman but a holy one. The Lord gave me so much revelation that I will have a LIVE yearly women’s conference and two online women’s conferences from that book! Lastly, my newest book, “The School of The Prophets: A curriculum for success” will come out this month! I am so excited and looking forward to doing these new things.

TRANSPARENCY WITH GOD… THE KEY TO DESTINY COMPLETION By Melinda Roberts
REJOICE ESSENTIAL MAGAZINE JULY 2017
“God is not interested in your avatar”…is a thought that crossed my mind some time ago, as I considered the manner in which we present ourselves publicly, a persona that is indicative of how we choose to be seen, opposed to who we really are. One definition of the term avatar is an icon or figure representing a particular person in video games, internet forums, etc. The world of social media allows one who is full-figured and not considered attractive by societal standards to opt for an avatar who is thin and desirable; a male who has a smaller frame may choose an avatar who is more muscular and who appears debonair. In such instances, individuals are masking reality and creating facades socially that can spill over into their relationship with God. Even if we have not deliberately selected a computer image as a projection of ourselves, what are we presenting daily in our interactions with others… in our worship services publicly…and in our intimate times with God privately? Though we may fool man with our perceived projections, we are never able to fool God. He is not impressed by our pretentious smiles, fancy attire, or our overall presentation; He is more interested in the condition of our hearts (1 Samuel 16:7). God is concerned about the childhood experiences that still affect us today, about the underlying inner issues that cause intermittent feelings of rejection. Although He sees and knows all things, God desires for each person to willingly bring his or her deepest disappointments, hurts and even minor bruises before Him (Hebrews. 4:16). He is not just some untouchable God who sits high and looks low, but He is a caring Father who is interested in the
minutest detail of our lives, because His purpose is to bring us into the fullness of our destiny. Even though “brokenness” is a part of God’s process for our lives, this does not indicate that we should be stripped of all confidence, beaten down, and plagued by thoughts of worthlessness and inadequacy, which are not of God, but from the enemy. “I know the plans that I have for you, declares the LORD. They are plans for peace and not disaster, plans to give you a future filled with hope.” (Jeremiah. 29:11 AMP). God’s brokenness brings us to a place of fulfillment/completion. After we have suffered a while, He will strengthen, settle, and establish us as vessels fit for His use (1 Peter 5:10, 2 Timothy 2:21). God is the One to whom we can go and be loved and accepted just the way we are. One thing of which we can be certain is the fact that God loves us with an unconditional love that will never alter, faint, or fail, and He has promised to never turn us away (John 6:37) or leave us (Hebrews 13:5). Many fail to have the courage to go boldly to God’s throne in transparency, because we, perhaps, did not have the comfort, security, and nurturing of a natural father. God is aware and concerned about this fact as well. The beautiful thing about God is He cares for the orphan even, and has adopted us as His own, affording us the privilege of having Him as Abba, Father (Romans 8:15). We are in right standing with God through “our righteousness,” Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior (2 Corinthians 5:21). We can be “naked” before God and never be ashamed. Unlike man sometimes, God understands our infirmities and weaknesses, and He is sympathetic toward us (Hebrews 4:15).
While we may find it easier to continue as we have, seemingly striving on a superficial relationship with God, the truth is that when we fail to be transparent, we rob ourselves of a desperately needed place of intimacy with Him, as He is our life source. El Elohim, Our Creator is the vine, and we are the branches (John 15:5). Additionally, Jehovah Shammah desires for all to come to Him and seek a place of intimacy, trusting that we can be secure and hidden in Him, even during the most chaotic, difficult times in our lives (Matthew 11:28-29). God longs to fellowship with us and desires to pull back every layer and strip away everything that will hinder our growth, development, and essence in Him, robbing us of the fullness of all that He sent Jesus to die to ensure that we receive… nothing lacking, missing, or broken. We must purpose to die daily to ourselves and arise to life in God, according to God’s requirements (Galatians 2:20). God loves us just the way we are…the good, the bad, and the ugly; however, it is paramount that we posture ourselves to remain in a pliable place in the hands of the Potter, so that He can aptly mold and shape us into what He originally ordained and destined us to be before we were formed in our mothers’ wombs. (Jeremiah 1:5). In order for God to deliver, promote, or use YOU for His glory, you must first be YOU (Isaiah 58:14). Transparency is key. Don’t allow superficiality to possibly compromise or abort your destiny. Purpose to be an open book before God, and allow Him to write the pages of your life…the most beautiful story that will ever be told.

LOVE LETTERS FROM THE KING “Behold I am Making “ All Things New” By Quiana Robinson
REJOICE ESSENTIAL MAGAZINE JULY 2017
It is officially time for old things to pass away. My daughter’s get ready to experience my newness as never before. In the month of July, I am causing you to take new territory. I am shifting you to new dimensions. Many of you will also experience relocating to different states and countries. Get ready to experience extreme and drastic changes in every aspect of your life. Everything from your diet to your choice of fashion will change, all of which is my doing. You will also find yourself forging new connections and establishing new partnerships. These connections will be God-ordained and are essential to reaching the Promised Land and accessing the fullness of my blessings. Just like Joshua needed Caleb to reaffirm that my people are well able to take the land. These partnerships are strategic and will help you to not be intimidated by the giants that may be standing in your way. Listen carefully daughters: do not allow bitterness or past hang-ups concerning relationships cause you to miss what I am doing in this season. Cry out to me for healing and I will be faithful to bind up your broken heart. I am also able to give you a new heart if need be. Also remember to bring every person you meet to the throne. It is important to guard your heart and also test the spirit. Doing this can spare you from experiencing unnecessary hurt and pain. Also included in these divine connections is the blossoming of God-ordained marriages. To my daughters who have prepared, surrendered, and allowed me to mold you into who I have called you to be: many of you will be found by the man that I have ordained for you before the foundations of the world were laid. This unity serves a purpose. Kingdom expansion is what I desire to accomplish
through marriages. Couples who are joined in my will are powerful. For my manifested presence will be with them wherever they go. Many of these couples/partnerships will be used mightily in ministry. I am also doing a new thing in marriages that are already established. I am breathing new life, new love, and new vigor upon marriages. Revival will hit marriages as never before! Please continue to contend for this move of my Spirit. Continue to pray for my will to be done in your household and watch me do something new. I am also touching children in a new and fresh way. Many children will begin to feel the unction of the Holy Spirit. July is the month that the prodigals return home. For everything I am doing in the earth is new. My plans and purposes for my darling daughters including all that concerns them will stand! I am preparing to touch all flesh with my Spirit! Including wayward husbands. I am well able to save your household. Is anything too hard for me? Is my arm too short? Are you worried about your finances? Are you concerned about your unyielding boss? Are you bound by unclean spirits? Then BEHOLD I DO A NEW THING. I have come this month to take up your yoke, break your shackles, and give you more than enough as your provider. I’ve come to set you free. I desire to make everything right again and even better than what it was before. Cast not your confidence, which yields a great reward. It gives me great pleasure to give you the kingdom. With my everlasting love, Your King and “Abba” Prayer Holy Spirit, thank you for
divine connections this month. Give me discernment to determine who is God sent and who is not. Heal the places of my heart where people have hurt me. Give me the freedom to love and to trust. Thank you for wanting to take me to new heights and releasing me to obtain new territory. In Jesus Name, Amen. GOD GIVES US WISDOM By Keiyia J. George scriptures, and I hope you always read the relevant scriptures around what is shared. Today, this one will be long because a strong point is attempting to be made. After David’s time ended, his son, Solomon, ruled. If you recall from Sunday School, he was the wisest king who ever ruled. (It was also prophesied that God’s presence would not be in David’s temple, but the temple of his (S) son...but that’s another wonderful story to explore another time.). How’d he become so wise? Let’s read about it.
What do you tell people when they ask why you didn’t do something? Do you tell them you are seeking God on it? Do you reply that God hasn’t told you to do something? What about when they push you to ‘lean on your own understanding’? What then? We’ve all heard the sayings: God gave us five senses God gave us wisdom God gave me a brain Did I miss any? What’s your reply to that?
Are you strong enough in the Word to back up whatever stance you are taking? If you’ve asked these questions, are your reasoning scriptural based? Can you back it up? I will not seek to argue the latter position. Hence, this post is very biased. There. I’ve put that out there. So if you want scriptural reference that backup using your five senses to accomplish what you are set out to do in this world, well, this ain’t the one, baby. I don’t normally type long
In Gibeon the Lord appeared to Solomon in a dream by night: and God said, Ask what I shall give thee. And Solomon said, Thou hast shewed unto thy servant David my father great mercy, according as he walked before thee in truth, and in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart with thee; and thou hast kept for him this great kindness, that thou hast given him a son to sit on his throne, as it is this day. And now, O Lord my God, thou hast made thy servant king instead of David my father: and I am but a little child: I know not how to go out or come in. And thy servant is in the midst of thy people which thou hast chosen, a great people, that cannot be numbered nor counted for multitude. Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and

bad: for who is able to judge this thy so great a people? And the speech pleased the Lord, that Solomon had asked this thing. And God said unto him, Because thou hast asked this thing, and hast not asked for thyself long life; neither hast asked riches for thyself, nor hast asked the life of thine enemies; but hast asked for thyself understanding to discern judgment; Behold, I have done according to thy words: lo, I have given thee a wise and an understanding heart; so that there was none like thee before thee, neither after thee shall any arise like unto thee. And I have also given thee that which thou hast not asked, both riches, and honour: so that there shall not be any among the kings like unto thee all thy days. And if thou wilt walk in my ways, to keep my statutes and my commandments, as thy father David did walk, then I will lengthen thy days. 1 Kings 3:5-14 KJV (See also 2 Chronicles 1) As king, Solomon wanted to make sure he ruled God’s people properly. (Wished our ‘kings’ of today felt the same way.) Via a dream, God offered Solomon to have anything he requested from Him. ANYTHING! What do you think you’d asked for? Unselfishly, Solomon requested understanding and discernment of good and bad, so that he may rule justly over the people. Because his motives were so pure, God not only gave him things he did not ask for, but also wisdom and understanding as requested. The only thing Solomon had to do in return was to be obedient and keep God’s commands. That’s it. So back to this question of wisdom. In this case, God definitely gave him wisdom, but with a stipulation: be obedient and keep His laws. So in our case, why
would it be so different? Why do we think we get God’s wisdom all willy nilly with nothing attached to it? Because we don’t!!! Oh, but you never said it’s ‘God’s wisdom’. And that’s where the issue lies. In James, it states that we should ask for wisdom and He will give it to us abundantly (James 1:5), and yet when you’ve asked and received it, you fail to use it and instead, rely on your own wisdom, cause ‘God gave you five sense’. And yet the words says NOT to lean on your own understanding. Rather trust God (Proverbs 3:5). So yes, we asked for wisdom and we’ve received it, but when it’s time to use it, who is our trust in? Thus saith the Lord; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the Lord. For he shall be like the heath in the desert, and shall not see when good cometh; but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land and not inhabited. Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit. Jeremiah 17:5-8 KJV But God gave us wisdom and we don’t use it. We run into a problem and rather than seeking him, we use our own brain to figure it out. And why??? Aren’t we supposed to have a mind of Christ (Philippians 2:5)? So why think? Why not just use God’s
wisdom? Christ’s mind? God did more than give us a brain to think with. Way more than provide five physical senses (the spiritual ones are so much better). Provided more than wits and our own wisdom. He gave us choice, and if we choose not to seek Him to light our path, that’s our choice. But believers need to stop using the old sorry of an excuse of ‘God gave us wisdom’ to do what they wanna do, rather than be obedient to what He is guiding you to do. Godly wisdom never fails. It’s never wrong. It will never lead you astray. Unfortunately, the path it not fully lit, but He promised to light our path and order our steps. Each step will provide the next step. Just keep walking. I, too, have failed in this aspect. I want the full picture before I take a step. But I repent this day and seek forgiveness from Daddy in Jesus name for my disobedience. I also ask that Holy Spirit continues to lead and guide me as I faithfully take each step, applying my God granted access to His wisdom and understanding. Wisely, Keiyia JOYet George

DR. TAMARRAH TARVER Interviewed By Kimberly Hargraves Interviewer: Thank you so much for allowing me to interview you today. It’s kinda funny because I had a dream about you and I saw your name in the spirit. A girl that I follow on periscope shared your scope and I was about to pass out. I said, “Oh my God, this is a real person!” I felt like you wanted an interview. So the Lord pressed upon my heart to reach out to you to do an interview. I have never really done that before, sought after someone for an interview. Then I went to your Facebook page and I saw that you had an interview with Steve Harvey. I said, “Wow. That’s impressive.” Then I went to your website and seen what you stand for. I saw beauty and exercise. I said, “That’s everything I stand for.” I said, “God, I like her.” That’s so exciting. I give God praise for what he is doing what in your life and the work that he is doing through you. How did the pretty girl symposium and conversations come about? That’s really unique. Dr. Tarver: So about 5 years ago, God gave me the vision for “Pretty Girl World LLC” which is an organization that promotes empowerment, encouragement, and wholeness to women from all walks of life. As a woman who has experienced everything that you could imagine, you would be like, “Oh my goodness.” I experienced a death of a parent. My
father committed suicide when I was four. I was born to a teenage mother. My mother had me when she was sixteen years old. I didn’t come from money. I grew up in a very rural area. At the age of sixteen, I was date raped. I went on a date, date raped, and it caused me to go into a downward spiral. Like many of the teenagers in the area, I grew up in an environment and I became extremely rebellious, promiscuous, and just out of control. My mother didn’t know why I was acting out. It was because of what occurred. I didn’t tell anybody; I was just holding all of that pain in. I get to college, thank God. In spite of all my behaviors, I always been very good in school. I graduated top ten percent even though I was having behavioral issues. Interviewer: Wow! Dr. Tarver: The best decision that I could’ve made was to go to college. I entered into Florida A&M University. My first year of college, again, just a wild child. I was at the club every day that they had open. It was like church to me. I paid my offering to get in. Just a testimony. I had always been a free spirit. Everyone has always been compelled to me because I have this type of aura that draws people in. Interviewer: Yes.
Dr. Tarver: I was so LIVE. I was just high on life, having a good time. Going into my sophomore year of college, God said enough was enough. I got saved in my bathroom. I was actually on my way to the club. God saved me. I didn’t know much scripture. I knew John 3:16 and I knew how to call on the name of Jesus. Interviewer: Amen. Dr. Tarver: In the bathroom, I called on the name that’s above every name. I called on Jesus and he saved me in that bathroom. There were a series of others events that transpired. From the age of 19 to 25, I was in a relationship with a young man. He proposed to me and we got engaged. I was like yes! This is great, you know. Everything was great. He was like a perfect guy and he went off to war. He went off to Iraq on one deployment and went to Afghanistan on another deployment. Yet when he came back, he was a different person. He began to become verbally abusive initially, and then it became physical abuse. Interviewer: Oh man. Dr. Tarver: He would point guns at my head. I remember one night he turned off all the lights and said, “They cometh.” I said, “Who is they.” He was having what I call PTSD and I remember

dropping to the ground and God showed me my funeral. Interviewer: No! WOW! Dr. Tarver: I remember thinking, “Lord, please don’t let me die like this.” I was shaking. I was never as afraid as I was that day. Somehow, he ended up going upstairs and I ran outside and I asked the neighbors could I make a phone call. My best friend picked me up and we packed my things and I never looked back. After that situation, needless to say, I didn’t date for years. I was afraid. Interviewer: Yeah! Dr. Tarver: I needed to get healed because that was an extremely traumatic experience. That was a condensed version of that. So, years passed and I just focused on my relationship with the Lord. I just needed a lot of healing. I was so damaged just by everything that happened. Years later, after I left service I meet this guy. He said, “Where have you been?” I had actually come back from the Doctor Phil show. I was actually featured on the Dr. Phil show. Interviewer: Amazing. Dr. Tarver: I said, “How do you know my name? We can’t be talking through tithes and offering.” We exchanged numbers and when he called me, immediately I knew that he liked me. We went out and we became friends. We actually were friends for some time, about a year. Then he proposed. We were engaged for a year. After we got married, we were married for almost four years. We had a son almost the first year of our marriage. We dated the right way. We didn’t engage in pre-marital sex. We did everything according to biblical
standards. We had accountability partners and counseling. I was like, “This is God.” We did it the right way and we were involved in church. I was a minister and he was just involved in church. We were like the essential couple. We both had Ph.D.’s. He got his doctoral degree first and then I got mine. It was like the Huxtables in a sense. Interviewer: Amen. Yes. Dr. Tarver: We were rising and on the move. I ended up getting a small cooking segment at WCPB locally and everything seemed to be taking off. I was in ministry, started to travel around, speaking at conferences. I had just produced my cookbook, “Pretty Girls Cook.” So, things were on the move. Then I find out that he was having homosexual affairs with men. ry.
Interviewer: Oh no! I’m sor-
Dr. Tarver: My world came crashing down. I realized at that moment that my marriage was a lie and I said to him, “How could you do this to me?” I remember sliding down the wall in the bathroom and I was just weeping. I am not going to lie to you. I was very upset with God. I said, “How could you allow this to happen to me when I did everything right?” I said, “I honored covenant and then my covenant was broken.” Interviewer: Jesus! Dr. Tarver: Then about two or three days later, I came home and the divorce papers were on the coffee table. He said to me when he returned home, “I do not love you. I don’t want to be with you.” For about six months, that was the separation period and we were still living in the same house. I was sleeping on the couch at
that time. There would be times that I would come home and I could tell that something was off. He hated me. I would never forget, two weeks before the divorce trial, I was laid off from my government job. So, you want to talk about a job experience. I also was extremely fearful that maybe my health was compromised, but thanks be unto God that the Lord covered me. I was HIV negative. I remember moving out of the house. The divorce trial was on a Tuesday and Wednesday. It was a two-day trial. He basically got everything that he wanted except for our son. The judge said to me that I had to be out of the house by Friday, remember I had just lost my job. It was a very humbling process. This was the very first time in my life where I didn’t know how I was going to survive economically. Talk about a faith walk and a humbling process. I lost everything. I remember that day when I looked at my bank account and I was down to thirteen dollars and ninety-nine cents. I will never for the rest of my life forget that process. I remember he told me, “You are not to take our son’s crib.” My son at the time was only two weeks old sleeping in the bed with me. You want to talk about humility and humbling. I remember crying out to the Lord, “Lord, why is this happening to me?” “God, I serving you and I am living right. Why God?” I became embarrassed. I didn’t even want to leave the house and I lost a tremendous amount of weight. I looked emaciated and I didn’t have an appetite. I remember every time that I would go to the doctor, he would say, “You’re HIV negative.” I would weep before the Lord because in my mind, I didn’t know how many partners he had. I was so thankful unto God that it could’ve been worse but thank God. In the midst of my pain, I

remember crying out to the Lord saying, “Why this?” I remember the Lord saying unto me, “If you just trust me in this, I am going to take you all over the world. Your testimony will heal many women.” I feel the Holy Ghost. too.
Interviewer: Yes! I feel him
Dr. Tarver: I remember bit by bit the Lord starting to heal me. My strength started coming back to me. In the midst of all of that, I begin to write. I begin to journal. Journaling was therapeutic for me. I started to exercise and begin to feel good about myself and make affirmations. Then God said, “Now you are ready.” So in a year and a half, I started back preaching again. I got my mojo back. Pretty Girl World was birth out of pain. In the midst of the pain, the promise came. For me, this isn’t something that I am just doing. This is something so
dear to me. That is why I am able minister so effectively. God called me in the fire and he birthed me out in the fire. I was called in the furnace of affliction. When people see me they say, “Oh my God, you are so pretty.” And I am like, “No. You are looking at first dimensions. But this type of beauty can’t be purchased by Mac or Sephora. God has giving me beauty for ashes. Now, I don’t make an apology for what God has given me because I understand that it came through pain. I always get certain people that ask me, “How are you doing this?” Everything that I have now whether it’s tangible or intangible, whether it’s natural or supernatural, it was birthed through prayer. Even the book that I have, “Pretty Girls Pray,” that was birthed through prayer. The pretty girl movement came about through all of my experiences. God begin to open doors. I’ve been on Dr. Phil, Steve Harvey Show, Preach the World
Network on two occasions, multiple interviews, the Bishop Greg Davis Show, featured in the Tallahassee Women’s magazine, Fresh oil magazine, and other radio shows. Not to boast, but God did this. God said to me early on that I would make the name great. God has entrusted to me with every door and every opportunity. I take it not for granted but I thank God. I believe that is why that’s why women are compelled to my ministry. I always let them know that you can bounce back from anything. I have a bounce back anointing; to lose an engagement, be ashamed, experience public shame; to go through divorce that felt like a death. But also know that in the midst of everything, that even if men rejected me that God has accepted me. God showed me what it is to really be beautiful. He showed me how to climb my way out of a dark hole. Even when I wanted to throw in the towel, God said “No. I have need of you.” That’s how the movement was birthed out. It was birthed out of pain and through the fire, but let me tell you something. But on the other side of that I can see that I have victory. I have joy again. It didn’t come through a man. It came through THE MAN. It came through Jesus King! It came through my Lord and Savior that showed me that in the midst of it all that God is a keeper. He kept me in perfect peace when I thought I was going to lose my mind. He kept my body that even when doctors told me that I would never be able to have a child, I pushed out a 7-pound baby boy! He is a God that can do exceedingly and abundantly. Even as I begin to walk through favor and wealth, I don’t boast. I speak whole-heartedly that God did it. He is the God of recompense. He is the God who restored all. As he spoke to David
REJOICE ESSENTIAL MAGAZINE JULY 2017
in 1 Samuel 30, he said to me, “You shall recover all.” That’s exactly what happened. I recovered joy. I recovered my strength. I recovered my dignity, and God has given me a prayerful anointing to bounce back from the very thing that had me pressed down. That’s how Pretty Girl World came about. Even with the pretty girl conversations, I believe that we have to have conversations about real issues that real women face. I think a lot of times we sweep things underneath the rug. I believe that we have to start bringing things to light so we can become solution-based. That is why first, ladies reach out to me. That is why I believe that people who go through things come to me because they understand. Listen, I’ve been there. I understand how it feels to be ashamed but I also understand how it feels to break free. That is why I believe God has chosen me as an end time voice for such a time is this. I told the devil a long time ago, “You should have killed me when you had the opportunity.” Interviewer: AMEN. Dr. Tarver: Lives aren’t just going to be impacted and changed, but they are going to be healed for real. Interviewer: That’s powerful. The whole time as you were speaking, I am feeling God in this place. Jesus! Oh my God! Wow! Jesus! We have so much in common. I went through a bad divorce. I was on probation for 2 years, I was going to go to medical school and I lost it all. That’s when God called me in the wilderness and He told me that I was a prophet. I have only been in ministry for 3 years and I am still in the wilderness season, but I can feel your pain. I went through a bad marriage, the adultery, not having hope to
live, suicidal. Man. Powerful testimony. Just coming back. I just applaud you. Wow! I am on your website and I am looking at your book, “Behind the Veil.” Is that how your book came about from your experiences? Dr. Tarver: “Behind The Veil Of Closed Doors” is a not book, but a documentary. It’s myself and two other women who tell their story about being formerly married to down low men. It’s also giving insight about some of the things that you need to watch out for. For the three of us who were married to these men there were no warning signs initially, but towards the end there were if we paid attention. For instance, one of the warning signs was the lack of intimacy. That is a red flag right there. Not wanting to be touched or not wanting to touch us. And we also talk about how to walk in a place of forgiveness because my ex-husband never apologized. He never repented. I had to accept the apology that I never did receive. Today I am completely healed. I actually pray for his deliverance and that God would move for him. There is no hate on this end. But in the beginning I am not going to lie, I said, “God get him. Get him good!” I got to the place of freedom and acceptance. There are many more testimonies, even things that has happened recently but I am not at the place where I am permitted to share. But I will say this, going through major betrayal, God tested my own character because I could’ve exposed even the more but God said no, because where I am taking you and that is too low for you. He said, “I will handle every enemy for you. I will fight every battle for you. Every person that has tried to kill your name and ministry, you don’t even have to fight. I will send an-
gels from heaven to war and fight on your behalf. All you have to do is stand still and see the salvation of the Lord. Where the Egyptians that you see today, you will see no more forever.” I have been standing on the word of God ever since. Interviewer: Thank you God. Amen. That’s so powerful. I know you have your mentorship program. Why do you think mentorship is so important in the body of Christ? Dr. Tarver: Oh, my gosh! That’s just like Elijah and Elisha; and Ruth and Naomi. You always want to make sure that you have someone that has already gone before you. In the secular community, they have an understanding that you need to become an understudy in your respected field or respected area. If you are going to be the best in whatever area, you need to learn. I have never in my days seen so many preachers in ministry who don’t even have a spiritual covering. Even the bible declares that everyone should be subject to governing authorities. There should be someone that you answer too. If Ruth wouldn’t have had the guidance of Naomi she probably would’ve never married Boaz. If Ester never had the guidance of Mordecai and Haggai she probably would have never been Queen. She had to be processed and she had follow instructions. The same thing applies in the reference to mentorship. I have over 14 and ½ years of experience in ministry. I have over 15 years in mental health therapy. My Ph.D. is in counseling psychology. I have a lot of experience and women can avoid certain pitfalls of certain mistakes that I made. These women can avoid just by mentorship alone. That’s why it’s important, to avoid certain pitfalls and I can cover

them in prayer. Because of who I am in the prophetic, I am a major prophet. I am a seer as well. Even the mentorship we held on last year, many of them were older but chronologically in the spirit the rank that I carry help to birth out who they were. It was like an Elijah and Elisha type of thing. Interviewer: Amen. Amen. Can you tell the readers about your books and anything that you are working on like upcoming projects? Dr. Tarver: Absolutely. The first book that I published was “Pretty Girls Cook.” It’s a southern-style cookbook with my recipes. Every recipe in there is mine. I am self-taught cook and I formerly had my cooking segment on WPCB. I have a six-flavor pound cake that will make you want to blast your momma. Interviewer: LOL! Dr. Tarver: I recently published a book called, “Pretty Girls Pray” about two years ago that talks about the importance of prayer and how to be effective in prayer. The bible talks about Elijah was like a man like you and I, but when he prayed the heavens responded. Remember, there was rain when he prayed and when he prayed that the rain would stop, it would stop. So anytime you pray and precipitation obeys your prayers, you are a bad mama jama. Interviewer: Amen. LOL! Dr. Tarver: Prayer is vital. It is the very driving emphasis of my life. God has strategically giving me strategies on how to pray effectively and intercede in the realm of the spirit. Interviewer: Amen.
Dr. Tarver: I talk about models of prayers, prayer of faith, prayer of salvation, prayer of intercession, and the eight prayer watches. I understand that I have been called to the third prayer watch, which is between the hours of 12 am to 3 am. Most people who are prophetic have been called to that prayer watch. That prayer watch is where there is the most demonic activity. If you are a Christian you need to find out what your prayer watch is and be connected in that respected prayer watch. There is also a prayer journal in the back of that book. Whenever I have and host events, I always advise them to buy the book, “Pretty Girls Pray”. Every woman needs to get that book and I probably when the Lord releases me too, to write a volume two of Pretty Girls Pray. Right now, I am currently working on two books. I don’t want to give the titles and topics but they are going to really change the game in reference to women who are in ministry. Currently I am working on a 30-day soul detox and I have about 154 women that are registered for that. It is free. It’s on Facebook. It’s a group. The 30-day soul detox in which we are going to be walking through healing, myself included. I believe that as a leader you should always been involved in anything that you do. I am going to be dealing with issues such as trauma when I dealt with a rape and the loss of a marriage. Heartbreak, losing an engagement. We are going to be walking through that. Even with handling betrayal. Conflicts resolution and making sure that we don’t allow jealousy to creep in. We will be dealing with those deep-rooted issues. We can no longer hide behind makeup. Let’s deal with the fact that you are jealous of another woman because of her charac-
teristic of not understanding that we are all beautiful. Interviewer: Amen. I need to sign up for that. I was truly blessed by this interview.

MOVING INTO MATURITY By Reynaldo Rodriguez
“But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them— yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me.” (1 Corinthians 15: 10). We need to understand who we are as a result of who God is and what He has done. A fruitful Christian life is the result of living by faith according to what God said is true. The problem is that we try to base our spiritual growth and maturity on practical sections of the Scriptures and spend too little time internalizing
the doctrinal sections.
perience.
For example, Paul’s letters tend to fall into two major parts. The first is generally called the doctrinal sections, such as Romans 1 – 8, Ephesians 1 – 3, Colossians 1 – 2 and so on. These sections reveal what we need to know about God, ourselves, sin and salvation. The second half of the letters is the practical section. Romans 12 – 13, Ephesians 4 – 6, Colossians 3 – 4 and so on. These passages describe what we need to do to live our faith in daily ex-
In our zeal to correct the problems in our lives, we skip the doctrinal first half and jump to the practical second half of God’s Word. We want a quick fix, a rule or instructions we can apply like a Band – Aid to make things better. We don’t have time to wade through the deep theological concepts of Scripture, we want a practical solution and we want it now. Perhaps you have already discovered that a Band Aid approach to daily living

doesn’t work. Why not? Because you need an adequate foundation of truth to live a practical life of faith. How can you hope to “Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.” (Ephesians 6: 11), if you have not internalized that you already victoriously was raised up by God Himself? “And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus,” (Ephesians 2: 6) How can you rejoice in hope and persevere in tribulation, “Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.” (Romans 12: 12), without the confidence of knowing you have been justified by faith? “Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,” (Romans 5: 1). When your basic belief system about God and yourself is shaky, your day to day behavior system will be shaky. When your belief system is intact and your relationship with God is based on truth, however, you will have very little trouble working out the practical aspects of daily Christianity. Most Christians are aware that salvation for the believer is past, present and future tense. By that, I mean we have been saved, “But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith— and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—“ (Ephesians 2: 4 – 8), we are being saved (pre-
sent tense), “For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.” (1 Corinthians 1: 18), “For we are to God the pleasing aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing. To the one we are an aroma that brings death; to the other, an aroma that brings life. And who is equal to such a task? Unlike so many, we do not peddle the word of God for profit. On the contrary, in Christ we speak before God with sincerity, as those sent from God.” (2 Corinthians 2: 15 – 17) and some day we shall fully be saved from the wrath that is to come (future tense), “Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through him! For if, while we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life! “ (Romans 5: 9 – 10), “And do this, understanding the present time: The hour has already come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed.” (Romans 13: 11). We have not yet experienced the totality of salvation, but I believe we can have the assurance of it. Paul says, “And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession—to the praise of his glory.” (Ephesians 1: 13 – 14). John says, “I write these things to you who believe in the
name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.” (1 John 5: 13). In reference to the believer, sanctification is also past, present, and future tense. We have been sanctified, “Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.” (1 Corinthians 6: 19 – 20). When God sees into your direction, what does He sees? This? “The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.” (Galatians 5: 19 – 21), Or this? “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.” (Galatians 5: 22 – 25). “His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature, having escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.” (2 Peter 1: 3 – 4). We are being sanctified (present tense), “But now that you have been set free from sin and
REJOICE ESSENTIAL MAGAZINE JULY 2017
have become slaves of God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life.” (Romans 6: 22), “Therefore, since we have these promises, dear friends, let us purify ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God. Make room for us in your hearts. We have wronged no one, we have corrupted no one, we have exploited no one. I do not say this to condemn you; I have said before that you have such a place in our hearts that we would live or die with you. I have spoken to you with great frankness; I take great pride in you. I am greatly encouraged; in all our troubles my joy knows no bounds.” (2 Corinthians 7: 1 – 4). And we shall someday be fully sanctified (future tense), “May the Lord make your love increase and overflow for each other and for everyone else, just as ours does for you. May he strengthen your hearts so that you will be blameless and holy in the presence of our God and Father when our Lord Jesus comes with all his holy ones.” (1 Thessalonians 3: 12 – 13), “May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do it.” (1 Thessalonians 5: 23 – 24). The process of sanctification begins at our new birth and ends in our glorification. Past tense sanctification is usually referred to as positional sanctification, and refers to the position or the status the believer has in Christ. Present-tense sanctification is referred to as progression or experiential sanctification. The positional truth of who we are in Christ is real truth and it
is the only basis for the progressive sanctification that follows. Just as the past reality of salvation is the basis for the presenttense working out our salvation, so is our position in Christ the basis for our growth in Christ. In other words, we are not trying to become children of God, we are already children of God who are becoming like Christ. “Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed—not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence—continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose. Do everything without grumbling or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, “children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation.” Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky” (Philippians 2: 12 – 15)

A MOTHER’S STRENGTH By Shirley Cooper
REJOICE ESSENTIAL MAGAZINE JULY 2017
Then Simeon blessed them and said to Mary, his mother: “This child is destined to cause the falling and rising of many in Israel, and to be a sign that will be spoken against, so that the thoughts of many hearts will be revealed. And a sword will pierce your own soul too.” (Luke 2:34) Mary already knew that her own soul would be pierced too. I just don’t think that she truly understood the depth of those words. Going through any trial can cause us to suffer much, at times excruciating pain and heavy exhaustion, with restless nights that go on endlessly. But when it involves our children, it cripples the deepest part of us, our souls. Mary’s soul was pierced in a way no mother should ever have to endure. Being a mother myself of not just three girls, but a boy once weighing in at 6 lbs 14 ounces helped me understand what true love really meant. While giving birth to three Princesses, having my Prince was a joy that shook me to a complete understanding of Mary’s own quiet strength. I often wondered how Mary ever had the courage and faith to share her tiny boy with the rest of the world knowing His future held great and dangerous things. My heart stop beating for a quick second. I noticed through all my child-bearing days, many opinions and experiences from other mothers filled my head.✔ Boys are easier than girls and vice versa.✔ Boys cost a lot of money and vice versa.✔ Too much worries with boys and getting girls pregnant. Oh how the stories all went on and on and on. Sadly, when I heard about girls, there was no difference. I then realized my job was to just raise my children and ignore all the mixed up hype on gender difficulties. After all, experience is the “tackler” of myths.
I soon understood that my boy was a strength used to bring me out of what would eventually be a near death experience after having my youngest in 2004. The doctors had little hope for my 100% and brought in a Chaplain to help make the process of dying easier. Needless to say, my family never lost hope. However, it was that little, meaty, dirty blonde, long haired, green eyed boy that brought in the strength needed to wake me from my deep sleep. God knew that all I needed was to see my son’s face and that became my eagerness to fight through the grasp that death held over me. I soon landed on the road to recovery and back in my family’s life. Of course that didn’t mean that my husband and my other children weren’t important to me. They too are my life and the reason I fight to live in this cold world. But there was something in that little boy that woke me up. There was a strength in him that poured into me. I say with a giggle that he still gets me that way. No matter what job title we hold as women, what defines us is, our role as mothers. That is where our strength truly lies. While it is a great endeavour, It is our greatest achievement. Being a mother outweighs any hardship. There are times when I glance at my boy and wonder why did God choose me to mother such a strong man? His strengths have proven to be greater than anything I could have ever endured. From small school problems to teen troubles and needs, to storms weathered, that make me question my own faith. But somehow he gets through his trials like a champ, eventually pouring that strength into me. I can only imagine how Mary must have felt to watch her son endure much deeper inflicted wounds and pains, than my
son in all his life would ever have to endure. To watch as her son traveled miles, through streets filled with people who hated Him, spat on Him, and throwing stones, all while carrying His own heavy cross. Then, finally watching any mother’s fear as she looked up at that cross watching the boy who once made her smile, running through fields of grass, pouring love, wisdom and peace into anyone who would listen, just wither away. Beaten, bruised, tortured, all for those who loved Him, and the people who wanted nothing to do with Him as well. I’m sure that she fell to the ground, beating it in disbelief, drowning in her own pain, gripping her arms around her body as it filled with such deep, agonizing, sorrow. I try to understand where her strength came from. Mary did go on with life as we know it. She did have other children. I’m sure even with her other children she had to watch as they dealt with life’s issues. But her strength came at the foot of Jesus. It was at Calvary that she found true strength. I look at Mary’s life with Jesus and I find strength in just her story alone. However, while I know that I can never go through what Mary as a mother went through. I begin to realize that the hurt my son or my girls endure would never reach the pain level that Mary’s did. Jesus paid a hefty price to save a dying world, and my son doesn’t ever have to carry that weight. I know that Mary’s eyes swelled up for months if not years, just remembering what her eye’s had seen on that one bittersweet day. But her strength teaches me that everything that I would have to see during my time on this earth has all been swept away with “her” Son, my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

While Mary had many chances to disobey God, she didn’t. But because she was a mother I am almost positive that she had thought twice on several occasions in order to protect her baby boy from the enemy’s hands. She trusted a big Father who eventually proved fit. Today, my son, Kirk Tyler Cooper Jr, is 23 years old. He was born July 1, 1993 and weighed 6lbs 14 ounces. He made me smile throughout his entire life. He protected me from many things. He has educated me from animals, to science, to scriptural truths. I will never forget that dark day when my family was told that I would die, how one glance at my son woke me up. And while I have and will watch him go through pains on this earth, I will hold fast to my greatest strength, that came at the feet of Jesus, Mary’s Son. And he came to her and said, “Greetings, O favored one, the Lord is with you!” (Luke 1:28) My son is great, but Mary’s is greater. Mary’s Son saved mine from the enemy’s snare. He gave my son the freedom to live freely, offering him eternal life, which in turn brought me a strength that some mothers may never understand. Watching my son go through many trials is a pain I don’t want, but watching my son receive Salvation is the greatest attack on the enemy who wants nothing more than to destroy the little boy that came into my life 23 years ago. I often wonder how Mary endured such a piercing to her soul. How she found the strength to go on with life without the little boy she loved with all her heart and raised, and it pains me. Then I look at all the things I myself had to endure while watching my son
suffer his hurts and I begin to understand that while Mary’s soul was pierced, it is only my broken heart that would need mending. A soul goes deeper than we can ever touch. Does that ease any sufferings that I face? To know that Mary went through such agonizing pains watching her Son endure such unimaginable things? Absolutely not. But it does teach me that my son will always be safe because of hers. When Mary found strength in her Son, it caused a shaking across the universe that saved mine. Today, I thank God for Mary’s strength as a mother. I thank Him for allowing me to see that my children will always be safe. They will always have Mary’s Son to lean on. No matter what tomorrow brings, Jesus keeps me strong. You then, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. (2 Timothy 2:1)

THERE IS NOTHING TO FEAR By Mae Blooms
REJOICE ESSENTIAL MAGAZINE JULY 2017
Have you ever see something and it really gets you thinking? I’m sure we all have, so this afternoon I saw a video of a little girl around 18 months old swimming and diving into the pool. It was simply amazing for me to see that, it sent chills all over my body and it made me think, why can’t I do that? LOL. But seriously, why not? You know why, I can’t swim because I was never thought how. Instead I was taught to scale the side of the pool and don’t let go because if I do I would drown. What’s the difference between me and this baby girl? The answer is simple... she knows no fear and she doesn’t realize the “danger” of drowning. I on the other hand am well aware of the dangers of drowning. This got me thinking about how often we as God’s daughters are fearful of things that we really should not be. Surely this is not the way our heavenly Father wants us to go through life, as a matter of fact his word is full of scripture telling us not to fear. Now this doesn’t mean we just walk into traffic or make rash decisions, but it means we walk by faith trusting God to fulfill his promises. God’s word clearly says, “I’ve never seen the righteous forsaken or his seed begging bread”, yet we become fearful of the unknown when our finances are low. We fear what can happen to our kids, we fear our spouses neglecting us, we fear so many things because we have learned to be fearful, but we should take note of this toddler in the video because we are not born with a spirit of fear, but a spirit of love, power and a sound mind. Think about it Peter was walking on water but was overcome with fear causing him to sink. Fear is also what made the Israelites grumble and complain even after they witnessed God part the Red Sea to deliver them from the hand of Pharaoh. Fear even made Peter deny Jesus, whom he had been super close with, ministered with and He knew first hand Jesus’ power; but still denied him out of fear. Still to this day sisters, this is also where we fall short! We must fight the temptation of being fearful by trusting God with everything that concerns us, in doing this we will find that God has predestined us for remarkable things and has plans to give us hope and a great future. Will you trust him today?? Let us pray- Father God, we thank you that you have not given us the spirit of fear, but somewhere along the way it slipped in. We bind and break the spirit of fear off of us and our families in Jesus name. We decree and declare that we will fear not live in fear, we decree and declare that we will walk by faith and not by sight and we thank you Lord for providing all our needs according to Your riches and glory in Christ. Today’s a new day and we will press on to our higher calling despite the enemy’s attempts to coerce us to fear in Jesus name we pray, Amen!

Hello! Ms. Kimberly Hargraves I thank God for your ministries, last night I was on your periscope and while on your periscope I received healing in my back. I received joy, clarity, the fire of God, peace, and so much more. I wish I could sow a seed, but the least I could do is come and share what the Lord used you to do in my life. God bless you. Praise Report! I usually don’t post anything about my work. However, the Lord has been causing me to step out more on
faith and pray for the sick. So today while I was at work, this elderly patient came in to see me wanting to get home oxygen. All of the sudden we began to talk about God. This lady could barely walk without getting short of breath and she had multiple health issues. I heard the Lord tell me to pray for her. So, I obeyed and I felt God all over me as I was praying. This lady began to confess loudly, “Lord, I feel your power! Lord, I feel your power!” She began to week and even kiss me. She jumped up, claimed her healing, and ran
out the building. I believe that God healed her. I am rejoicing. There was a reason why I was called into work today and not my co-worker. God is the master planner for setting up miracles. Hello, I attended your online conference called, “Help! I am single and need help preparing for Boaz.” Before you ended I prayed to God like Gideon. I said, “If I’m getting married this year, then Prophetess has to mention my favorite scripture. As you were ending, you stated quoting Numbers 23:19. Look at God! Love You!

a friend I can come to with my issues and thank you for praying. You are such as great woman of faith. Love you! Wow! Your anointing oils works miracles. I can’t even begin to explain what happened to me to today. I prophesied to someone today without even knowing it. I just can’t explain it. Wow. I’ve been washing with your oil and anointing myself with it and praying with the prayer cloth you sent me. Wow. Simply awesome. Amazing. I been having dreams. Omg. So much I’m overwhelmed. Wow. Thank you so much. I wish I could tell you the whole story. Wow. God is awesome. Peace offering unto the Lord. Kim May 12. It marks 1 whole year of you praying for me and asthma was healed out my body. Still no trace of asthma in my lungs. The Lord truly healed me through using you. I’m forever your friend until I die. Thank you. Good Afternoon Prophetess, I’m writing to share my amazing testimony. On February 12, 2017, you prophesied, among other things, the following: 1. God is going to bless your bread and water. 2. God is going to bless the fruit of your land; the fruit of the harvest.3. I’m looking at a tree sprouting forth, because you need some provision, says God. 4. I see a money tree and the name of the tree is provision. 5. I literally see the Heavens expanding over your head. The checks that have been held up are getting ready to come in. Your dry season is over.
Two days later, I interviewed for a position and was offered the job the same day! My monthly income has increased from $1,442.50 to $4,445.00! God is so faithful!!! Prophetess, thank you so much for your prayers. My life has changed for the better since connecting with your ministry last year. You are truly a blessing. Best Regards, I woke up this morning so free from God touching me on your prayerline. Thank you so much Prophetess for praying for me. The Lord was so strong upon me. I was so thankful to God for what He did for me, the Holy Spirit told me to sow a seed. I put my seed in the ground today. Bless you Prophetess. Good morning Prophetess, Praise Report. You prayed for my mother’s health in January. She had major surgery. I see her improving. Her memory has returned. Thank you for your prayers. I know it was God. Praise the Lord! My sister in law Raychelle asked you to pray for her marriage. They were supposed to divorce last month but my brother called off the divorce!! Hi Prophetess Kimberly! I wanted to share my testimony of the goodness of the Lord! You prayed for me on the prayer line for my speeding ticket that I couldn’t pay and seven days later the Lord provided the money to pay my speeding ticket. Praise God! May God continue to bless you and this ministry! Lakiesha.

DR. DIANNA HOLLINS Interviewed By Wylie & Equalla Foster Interviewer: What advice can you give to women who want to fulfill the call of God on their lives but they are afraid to? Dr. Hollins: The first step is to identify and establish what it means to be a woman. There is a difference between being a woman and a woman of God. When you address the woman, you’re speaking of an individual after the flesh. However, a woman of God means you are transitioning and transforming into a woman of God that carries a mantle. A woman of God is a woman with the Spirit of God and that gives us power and authority in the spirit. Once you understand that you are now a woman of God and not just a woman, you are now saying “I am walking into my identity and into my destiny and into my purpose, I understand who I have been made to be and the destiny on my life and what is to be birthed!” We as women were created to birth. In the book of Genesis, we see that woman were created from the rib, which means we are the essence of breathing. When you understand that you are the essence of breathing, you will then understand that you can decree a thing and it shall be established. As a woman of God, be focused on your position and purpose and not on your problem or situation. The woman does what the world wants (is influenced by the world) but the woman of God carries herself as a kingdom queen and a kingdom
extension. This means that to be in my presence is a present and having a conversation with me is a present, because I am a gate-keeper of giving. What I love about Adam was that he held something, but the woman was the carrier. Adam being a holder meant that he was still (station-ary) but the woman as a carrier meant she was a woman of tran-sition, production; to inject and to reject. Therefore, when you understand the essence of who you are as woman of God and not just a woman, your whole life will shift. When God gave the com-mand to be fruitful and multiply and replenish the earth and sub-due it and have dominion over it, God was referencing the fivefold ministry. God was in essence ac-tivating man. Although, Adam was activated he could not to-tally move (or accomplish) what God had given him without the woman, because women are the distributors. Men manufacture, but women distribute. The two complement each other. Interviewer: How can some-one become more accurate in the prophetic? Dr. Hollins: One has to un-derstand what the prophetic is. It seems that a lot of people have the impression that prophecy is the new thing or phenomenon, but we must understand the prophet-ic. When I do my virtual teaching
I do is teach on the power of gifts and the prophetic. I do my best to teach people that there is a difference between prophecy and the prophetic. Prophetic is a state, whereas prophecy is giving a word. You have people that want to prophesy, but they’re not in the atmosphere of the prophetic or they don’t carry the gift of prophecy or they may not be prophetic. You have to embrace the state of the prophetic. It is unction, a function, a substance, a realm, a state of being and you must understand what the prophetic is for, which is the heart of God, the mannerism of God and the request of God. The prophetic has a lot to do with relationship with God, has a lot to do with having knowledge and understanding of God and kingdom operation. This is not church or religion, because religious people don’t believe in the prophetic. The prophetic is the substance of the kingdom of God. It’s similar to Chicago being called the Windy City. It would not have this reputation if there was no wind. It’s the same with the kingdom of God. The prophetic atmosphere is a womb! You must be in the womb of the prophetic to connect to the prophetic. Technically, we were born with the prophetic but a lot of people have not activated the prophetic because they don’t understand and they don’t have fellowship with God. God is prophetic Himself. When He blew into Adam, He activated

Adam. When God said “Let there be light” what did He do? He was prophesying. In order to create the earth, He prophesied. Also, He called a prophetic atmosphere. How? Because He existed! The moment God is in the presence of existence the prophetic is already there. All we have to do is connect to His presence. When we do we are automatically prophetic. Interviewer: How does someone know that they are called to the Apostolic? Dr. Hollins: It is so funny, because we are all called to the Apostolic. When Jesus said “If you would confess me as Lord and believe in your heart I am Lord,” you become a beneficiary. Who is Savior and who is Lord? Jesus! If Jesus is then your Savior and Lord and He being the Chief Apostle and Chief Cornerstone, we become like Him. When we confess Him as our Lord we are essentially saying we are submitted to the Apostolic, which makes us apostles and cornerstones. How can we submit to Christ if we do not accept fully who He is? To take it further, how did Jacob receive a revelation of Christ? It was when he laid his head on a rock. This was putting on the “mind of Christ!” Interviewer: What advice would you give someone who is believing God to plant or begin a church? Dr. Hollins: The Bible says “we have all been given the ministry of reconciliation.” We have to understand what reconciliation means, which is bringing ourselves back to the body of Christ, the presence and covenant of God. Bringing ourselves back to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ means we have been given the ministry of reconciliation,
and a responsibility to the ministry. Ministry is not about having a collar around your neck, a title, a microphone or a pulpit. Ministry is about serving. If you look at minister based on its original meaning, it means “to serve.” You are to serve men and bring them back to a place where they identify with God in a way they did not identify with Him before. Every one of us as believers have the responsibility to take unbelievers and bring them to a place of restoration, rejuvenation, and recertification. Sometimes people have to be recertified at something they lost. We have a responsibility to ministry every day. Rejoice Essential magazine is a ministry. People can learn more in a magazine than they can in one sermon. Ministry is not about a building. Jesus was found more in the streets, at the river, in the mountain, than in the synagogue. He spent more time in the field, the marketplace, and was not confined to a building. Religion is confined to a building. Techni-cally, church is more of a equipping center. The clipping center is not the building, but the assembly. The center is the core of some-thing. The assembly is about the core of God. We have gotten away from the core of God. We have made it such a comfortable set-ting in the assembly. We should be prostrate and bowing in the assembly because this is submis-sion. Sitting is not truly a proper form of the submission. Jesus is seated at the right hand of the God, but if we are seated, then how are we truly submitted? Our whole posture in the church is all out of whack. Interviewer: How do you balance family, ministry, and Dr. business? Hollins: I have discovered
that balance is a myth, but harmony is a gift! Do you want me to balance or bring everything to harmony under one function? Technically, it is impossible to balance a 24 hour period! If you spend 8 hours working, 8 hours sleeping, and 8 hours with family, where does church fit in or studying or grocery shopping? I love the idea, concept, and initiative of balance, but it is truly not possible. People get frustrated because they have been taught for years that they must balance. I teach people that they must learn to harmonize. All the areas of our lives need to complement and add to each other. My ministry must add to family, and my job must add to my family and bring harmony to it. Balance bringing completion is not an accurate statement. How can I balance everything according to timing and something not go lacking? Something will absolutely go lacking. As a mother with two generations (age differences) under my care, church overseer, entrepreneur, Administrator, Chairperson with many board and committee meetings, a national, international, and millennial speaker, and about to start a new academy, how can I find balance? What about fasting, worship, or eating a hamburger? To take it a step further, when do I have time for me? So the objective is to harmonize. Christ is our ultimate example of harmony! Christ was a Savior, a healer, a miracle worker, and a politician. Just as governments fight for territory, Christ was a threat to government because His objective was to introduce the King of Kings and establish His kingdom! The disciples were His supporters, and John the Baptist was His campaign manager. His followers were his voters without the internet and social media to increase
REJOICE ESSENTIAL MAGAZINE JULY 2017
His popularity. He taught them to cast ballots, veto, and legislating strategies. He didn’t choose affluent and influential people, but farmers, fisherman, a tax collector, and common people. Interviewer: Your newest released book is “Pregnant with purpose: How to avoid a spiritual miscarriage”, and this powerful reading will take you onto a path and provide spiritual insight, guidance and preparation of a successful and spiritual pregnancy by understanding the concept of a natural and spiritual womb. Is there any advice to help individuals not to have a spiritual miscarriage? Dr. Hollins: Get a copy of the book at www.diannahollins.org! Additionally, people associate pregnancy with a physical thing, but it is really a spiritual thing. Conception is of the mind and not of the flesh. It is an idea, a mental state and not a physical. You have to conceive in your thinking before you can give birth on the earth. This book teaches that the power of the thinking determines the level and carrying of the pregnancy! How we think will determine the level of our birthing! How we think determines the level of our outcome! Dr. Cindy Trimm has a book called “Push: the 26 wombs of the spirit” as well. One thing people don’t understand is that pregnancy is the process of manifestation. What the enemy wants to do is to get us to abort in the mind before conception. If he can affect the way we think, then he can stop the manifestation. This is the concept I want you to all pull from, that the enemy does not stop the manifestation, our thinking and our mind stops the manifestation. The enemy (the devil) can come and sabotage your situation and your finances but our minds can still produce the man-
ifestation. People can still generate income without having a job and overcome different obstacles because it comes from the mind. The womb is the mind, not our belly. Contractions don’t come from our midsection but from our thinking. How was Abram able to transition to Abraham? His thinking was swollen and expanded. The moment he expanded his thinking, he was able to birth a new identity. How are we delivered? It is not necessarily because someone laid hands on us and these similar types of experiences. It is because we got the revelation and changed our thinking. When our thinking is shifted, actions will change, habits will change, choices will change and now we are delivered! This is why people do not experience total deliverance. They had a seed planted, but their minds were not fertile enough to conceive. If your thinking is not positioned to be pregnant it does not
matter what seed is thrown at it. There are lots of people amongst a lot of seed and they are screaming and shouting and positioning themselves to get pregnant, but because their wombs are not fertilized they cannot conceive. They cannot conceive because there is no revelation and where there is no revelation there is no change. Where there is no change there is no deliverance. Where there is no deliverance there is no transformation and where there is no transformation there is no manifestation and we are left barren. Interviewer: How did you get into ministry? Dr. Hollins: Honestly, I did not ask for it and did not want it! I never saw it or envisioned it, and it was God. It is funny because I started off with a nonprofit organization called “Saving our Sisters” SOS Women’s

indirectly talks about my experience. Also, during this seven month period, I began to receive an anointing for healing; I felt fire in my hands, the supernatural encounters increased, and visitations. I had no one to share these experiences with and almost lost my baby three times. It was in the midst of a prayer breakfast during an empowerment session that I heard the voice of God speak to me and say “either Pastor or I have no need for you!” I fell to my knees and started crying and started screaming, “Yes, Lord.” I then made an announcement that I had just accepted my call to Pastoralship, because I ran from the call for about a year and a half. I was so stubborn and I ran so hard that it almost cost me my life! God told me “the reason I wanted you to sit in the back, I wanted you to see your future!’
Network, the headquarters is in Alabama. My responsibility was to organize, coordinate, and facilitate. I arranged for speakers to come and speak at the speaking engagements, while I sat in the back. It was so successful with an unbelievable response. I began to establish different chapters in Georgia and Alabama. People do not know the humanitarian side of me. Ministry to me is giving back to the community, the people. This is my first ministry. From SOS, I began to organize conferences, but was never the speaker. I was the founder and administrator but sat in the back row because it was never my mindset to be a speaker. Ultimately, my ministry was birthed on my back during a high risk pregnancy in which I was bed ridden for seven months. While in the bed for seven months, I began to experience supernatural encounters. Angels manifested as well as visions and dreams. God had put me in an
incubator to repair me and prepare me just to reset me and release me. On bedrest, I wrote two books and God laid my life before me in seven months. I started my ministry on my back. A prayer line was formed on my bed. The prayer line had forty to fifty people a night while I was in pain. God took my ashes and I could see Him putting it in His hands and balling it up and making it a gold ball. He took everything that I had been through, and guess what He formed? He formed my anointing! He built my mantle. He showed me that everything I thought was bitter would be the very thing to heal me. A lemon is sour but a lemon takes the germs away. There were circumstances during this season that caused me to think that God had moved away from me and was not listening to me. He informed me that He never moved away but put me in an incubator. WHAT DO YOU SEE? By Keiyia J. George
It’s been well documented that the political sects of Jesus’ time did everything in their might to turn the synagogue visitors against Jesus as the Messiah. They often tried to set Him up with questions of entrapment or simply capture or stone Him for healing those who came to Him. Jesus told them several times who he was but they kept right on asking, claiming they didn’t even know where He was from. Throughout the book of John, these scenarios happened time after time. As you read the book, one may get the feeling of, “How could they not believe He
was the Christ. He just...(fill in the blank with a miracle he performed)!” And yet, the political parties continued to plot His death. But doesn’t this scenario fit today’s church buildings as well? If Jesus was during our time, what would we say? Be honest! We are so quick to call people of God false, never using discernment, never looking to our friend Holy Spirit for insight. Everyone is simply lumped into ‘false’ and blinders have been turned on. Silently, these true and holy believers are plotted against and ‘crucified’ for speaking the Word.
But as I read the encounters with the Pharisees, I too found myself asking ‘what would I believe?’ Unfortunately, we today, are not versed in the scriptures like they were back then. If you recall, they truly immersed themselves in the doctrine...to the point to where they allowed the Word to place them in bondage as they added to it. Back then, they knew the prophesies that spoke of the Christ coming. Today, how many of us can reference the prophecy and show the fulfillment of it. How many of us know what I
67
68
REJOICE ESSENTIAL MAGAZINE JULY 2017
mean by ‘the prophecy’. My point is, they knew what was to come. They extensively studied it. Today, many only know what they are taught on Sunday and Wednesday so much is missed. But if Jesus walked among us today, would we miss him? We are so caught up in religion and how things ‘should be’, that we’ve missed every opportunity to ‘see’. And Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind. And some of the Pharisees which were with him heard these words, and said unto him, Are we blind also? Jesus said unto them, If ye were blind, ye should have no sin: but now ye say, We see; therefore your sin remaineth. John 9:39-41 KJV The Light was right before them and they kept missing it. They claimed to see, but saw nothing. Because of this, they will die. I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins. John 8:24 KJV Today, many antichrists are among us. Many can perform the ‘same’ miracles of the Christ, but are we so caught up in looking for the antichrist that we miss the true Christ? With so many religious sects in Christianity, how can we worship in truth and spirit while neither of those requirements are present? I’m disappointed in believers today. They’ve completely missed the mark. Many are turning people from the Word with their
false doctrine, while others never study for themselves to check the Word against what’s being taught. So many are lead astray, seeing, but blind. My heart aches for them. But I believe that revival will come. The hearts will be turned and true believers will rise and take over. I believe a day will come, and we won’t miss Jesus as he passes by. I believe our spiritual eyes will open, and our natural eyes will close. I believe. So again, ask yourself: would you be a Pharisee or a disciple if Jesus was performing miracles right in front of you? Would your religion and denomination keep you from seeing? Something to think about.
Will he pass you by. Will you notice? #eyeswideshut #justmekjg

THE HEART OF COVENANT By Amber M. Brown
REJOICE ESSENTIAL MAGAZINE JULY 2017
“Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah. Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the Lord. But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the Lord, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.” ~Jeremiah 31:31-33~ When we hear the word covenant we think of the word relationship, and that is exactly what a covenant represents. A covenant is a declaration of God by which he establishes a relationship of responsibility between either himself and an individual, himself and a family, or with mankind as a whole. Abraham and his children were told to be circumcised “as a sign of covenant” which was only between him and God. In the Old Testament, the Hebrew root word for covenant means “to cut” which implies to remove. God required this of him to show his obedience. The circumcision of men symbolized the old life of sin, making one’s heart right, and dedicating your life to God. This was a true separation from the others, and when one did this, he was proven God’s family. When we cut off the old life of sin and purify our hearts, he blesses us
beyond anything we could ever imagine. When we choose to make covenant with God, we understand that it will never break unless we choose to break it. God’s Word never changes and never comes back void. In this covenant, God asks us to be different. How can we make a commitment to change ourselves and strive to be more like him, but then act the same as everyone else, talk the same as everyone else, and go right back into doing what everyone else is doing, which are the things we are trying to leave? We are to stand out of the crowd and set ourselves apart from others, but most Christians today want to be liked by everyone because of fear of rejection so they go against what is asked of them, and blend in with the world. “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light.” ~1 Peter2:9~ Another example of covenant in the Bible is when Moses sprinkled the blood of animals on the altar and on those who came and made covenant with God on Mt. Sinai. In the Old Testament, the death of an animal took the place of sin, so when Moses sprinkled animal blood on those who entered covenant with God, the blood took place of their sins and were then washed away. Now we are no longer expected to kill an animal
and use the blood for sacrifice, because Jesus died and shed his own blood on the cross, his blood in which took our place. “But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.” ~Ephesians 2:13~ We come forth into Gods presence through the blood of Jesus Christ and have redemption. “In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace.” ~Ephesians 1:7~ God is now able to forgive us for our sins and we can have a relationship with him because of the covenant of the Blood of Jesus. This is truly the Heart of Covenant! God is a father of love, mercy, and grace. He first shows this to us by allowing his only begotten son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross for our sins so that we may be forgiven and have a relationship with him. He also shows us mercy each day, even being a new creature in Christ, even when we are not deserving of it. He is not required to have covenant with us, but he chose to do so because he loves us and wants us to live life and live life more abundantly. He wants to help you grow into the man or woman that you have already been called to be, but without the heart of covenant, it is hard to become who you really are supposed to be. Remember the covenant of Noah. This covenant was such a powerful symbol of the everlasting love of God, and the
71

importance of keeping your promise. God promised to never flood the earth again, and to give remembrance to this covenant, God made the beautiful multi colored rainbow that we get to see during and after the rain. I believe God knows when people really need to be comforted, and the rainbow allows him to really brighten up someone’s day and brings forth new beginnings for all of us. A reminder that God is still with us! Now, this rainbow has much meaning behind it, and when you take a moment and think about it, it gives great revelation. A rainbow will come after it rains, but it can also show up during the time that it rains. Rain makes us sleepy, it causes most people to stay indoors, it messes up our plans, and even messes up our hair, “Come on Ladies, you know what I’m talking about,” but even during all these negatives, God still gives us a beautiful reminder of his love for us even during the negatives, or “hard times.” The best part of going through a storm is that there will always be a stopping point after the process. A storm never lasts. Your struggles will not always be there, and after you suffer a little while, God will bring the most beautiful and radiant blessing at the least expected time. “But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.” ~1 Peter 5:10~ This covenant is important
because it represents promise. Are you someone who keeps their word or are you someone who constantly goes back on your word which makes it hard for others to trust you? There are many more covenants in the bible that we could discuss, but what I encourage you to do is go back and read the covenants of Noah, Moses, Abraham, David, and most importantly Jesus Christ. Remember, a covenant is a relationship and a promise between you and another person. It is vital that when you make an agreement with someone, especially with God, that you honor that agreement. The heart of Covenant is held in your actions, not your words. Choose to let God know that you are keeping your covenant with him. Give him your time brothers and sisters. Daily scripture reading, walking in a manner worthy of his holiness, and a daily prayer life are some things that keep you in covenant with God. Don’t get lost and go astray. As you have read, God keeps his covenants and when we keep our covenant with him, he takes care of us in ways that no one else can or ever will! The Word of God is our weapon against the enemy, for without it, we stand no chance in battle. Put on the full armor of God and remain in Covenant. “While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.” ~Genesis 8:22~

THE NATURAL ALTERNATIVE By Mia Mason
Everywhere you look these days, people seem to be turning to different products in hopes of healthier and longer hair. Some women have relaxers, while others choose to keep their hair natural. My grandmother kept a perm in my hair growing up, and my hair never grew past my shoulders. After having children, I noticed a big change in my hair. It started shedding and breaking off. I began getting my hair cut so short that I couldn’t
even curl it with a curling iron. After a year of keeping my hair cut off, I finally decided to let it grow back out. I began to get my hair braided to keep my hands out of it. But as usual, my hair never grew past my shoulders. I got up one morning to comb my hair before work, and all of my hair in the middle of my head came out in the comb. At the age of 23 that is a woman’s worst nightmare. Instead of going to
work that morning, I went to my son’s barber and had him shave all of my hair off into a low fade. My father had a fit, but I loved it! It was less for me to do in the morning. Since I didn’t know what to do with natural hair, I would go to the barber every 2 weeks with my son and get shaped up. It was then that I noticed how dry and brittle my hair was when it grew out. I then began to ask my natural friends what the best products were to use on natural hair. I began to purchase to suggested products and noticed that they didn’t the same thing for my hair. So, I went to YouTube to find out things that could work. I was shocked to find out that I could use simple things that were in the cabinet in the kitchen to moisturize my hair. It’s been 13 years since I first did the big chop on my hair. I have gone between loose natural hair and dreadlocks during that time. Water has become my hair’s best friend. I only use natural oils in my hair and I mix up my own hair products. Store brought hair products don’t work well in my hair and cause my hair to break off. My favorite oils to use are olive oil and coconut

oil. I use castor oil for thinning edges. Due to YouTube, I learned all about essential oils and use many of those for their benefits. I’ve noticed how much cheaper using natural products is, and love how much room I have on my dresser due to that. Here are some of my natural recipes: No Itch Scalp Spritz ¾ c. distilled water ¼ tsp. rosemary essential oil ½ tsp tea tree oil 1 tbsp. coconut oil, melted Put into an 8-oz. spray bottle. Shake before each use. Daily Growth Spritz (Moisturizing) 2 oz. jojoba oil 1 oz. tea tree oil 1 oz. vitamin E oil 20 drops spearmint essential oil 10 drops rosemary essential oil 15 drops sweet orange essential oil Pour oils into 8-oz. spray bottle. Add distilled water to fill it up. Shake before each use. Setting Lotion/Leave-In Conditioner 6 oz. aloe vera gel (juice for conditioner) 2 oz. jojoba oil 5 drops essential oil of choice
Pour ingredients into an 8-oz. shampoo bottle. Shake to mix them together. Black Soap Shampoo Crumbled black soap Distilled water 1 tbsp. olive oil 2 tbsp. vegetable glycerin 2 tsp. coconut oil, melted 2 tsp. jojoba oil 2 tsp. tea tree oil 1 tsp. vitamin E oil 1 tsp. peppermint essential oil 1 tsp. rosemary essential oil To figure out how much water to use, put distilled water into bottle that you will be using. I use a 16-oz. applicator bottle (purchase at a beauty supply store). Pour the water into a container with lid and crumble the black soap into it (more soap, thicker the shampoo). Put the lid on container ad let sit until soap is dissolved (1-2 days, heating the water first will speed the process). Place oils into bottle and add mixture leaving enough room to shake mixture. Shake well before each use. Hair Butter 1 oz. cocoa butter 3 oz. shea butter 2 oz. tea tree oil 2 oz. castor oil 2 oz. jojoba oil 1 oz. olive oil 1 oz. vitamin E oil 3 oz. honey 5 drops rosemary essential oil 10-15 drops lavender
essential oil Combine everything but the essential oils over a double boiler and melt for 15 minutes. Let cool on counter for 20 mins (Add the essential oils after 15 minutes). Stir with spatula. Let sit in freezer for 5 minutes. Starting at lowest speed, whip with hand held mixer for 25 minutes. After each 5 minutes, go up to the next speed. Put into a container with lid.

THE BURDEN OF A WRITER By Kimberly Hargraves
Over the last few weeks, I have been so distracted by the trials in life. I was faced by the disappointment of certain deadlines not being met and I found myself withdrawing from the crowd. However, the one thing that I continued to do was write. Instead of complaining and feeling sorry for myself, I wrote. As I began to write, I started to feel a release. Everything that I was feeling over the last few weeks came out on paper. I was doing something that I am anointed to do. Writing is a special grace and I am very passionate about it. I have found that I write best
when I feel emotional. When I feel lonely, I can write copious amounts. Sometimes we get caught up in our emotions and we forget that the picture is bigger than us. Our assignments which includes the books that are in our minds and hearts to write will impact the world. One book can change your life. I remember reading books on prayer a few years ago that had a drastic outcome. I gained strategy, revelation, and wisdom that I didn’t have before I read those books. I hear testimonies all the time of how my
books have changed people’s life. Recently, I was talking to a future client who will get his book published through Rejoice Essential Publishing. He told me that as he went on consecration, he read my book, “Walk By Faith: A Daily Devotional” for thirty days and he was so blessed. He also began to encourage me and let me know that the anointing on my life rubbed off on him. He said, “I could barely write a book when I met you. Originally, my whole manuscript was 5,000 words, but you stretched me. After I took your writing work-
REJOICE ESSENTIAL MAGAZINE JULY 2017
shop on April 8th, my chapters are now 5,000 words each. I can’t believe that I wrote three chapters in one day! That’s a huge accomplishment for me!” This testimony made me reflect on the true reason why I do what I do. I love to help people. I want to raise up people who can do what I do but better. I write because I love it. I love to build. I get excited when I complete new projects. I couldn’t quit if I wanted too. I am encouraging my client to write his second book because I can see so much potential in him. Yet, we will see. I decided that I will do a writing workshop annually. People have asked me, “How did it all begin?” I started writing books in 2014. The Lord spoke to me to start a blog. The blog started out about me describing things that I was dealing with ranging from anxiety, anger, and unforgiveness, etc. The blog allowed me to encourage others not to fall into the same trap as me. Back then I was so afraid to tell the readers that the people in those stories was really me. I made up names and even changed the gender of the main characters in the stories. Those blogs turned into my first book, “Overcoming Difficult Life Experiences with Scriptures And Prayers”. Then that blog site turned into a full website and it grew from there. The Lord began to give me new books and ideas as I remained faithful to the task. I
could’ve quit when I felt discouraged when no one brought my books but I decided to keep on pressing. I can recall a time where my book, “Overcoming Emotions With Prayer: A Guide To Faith” sat on the shelf for a year before it had its first sale. Talk about discouragement! I knew the value of the book so I refused to lower the price. Eventually, that book started selling. I believe the Lord gave me a book that was ahead of its time. It was ahead of what everyone else was doing. It just took a while for the people to catch up to what the Holy Spirit was doing through me. LOL! I have received testimonies of how that book prevented people from committing suicide and how they gained hope to hold on until they received the answer to their prayers. The Lord initially gave me a list of twenty-one books to write and I am fourteen, fifteen, and sixteen books in. I am writing three books at once. One book is on the mind, and the other two are on the prophetic. It’s amazing to see how the doors are opening for me as I obey God. I have a few prophetic conferences at the end of the year. One of them is called “The Supernatural Birthing Of A Seer” located in North Carolina in the month of October. I will have my new book, “The School Of The Prophets: A Curriculum For Success” there and hopefully my next book on the
prophetic. I am ecstatic to have my own textbooks for my school of the prophets that I am relaunching in January 2018. There are only a few slots left for the three-month school. I am in a season where every day few days, the Lord gives me a new idea for a book or some type of program that I must build. It looks like I will write more than twenty-one books and I am thrilled about that. It’s hard work, and it takes a lot of discipline but it must be done. These books are bigger than me and they need to reach the nations. As you make the decision to write and have the right mindset you will be surprised at how much you can accomplish.
