Honestly, you canâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;t just get rid of social media because it has become a pivotal avenue for businesses and bloggers. So, how do you make it bearable, better yet enjoyable, to manage social media! As I sat and pondered it all, God placed a few tips on my heart to encourage His daughters and sons and I'm delighted to share them with you. ONE SIZE DOES NOT FIT ALL Nothing in life, including social media, works the exact same way for everyone, so let God teach you a strategic plan just for you and watch it flourish with way less stress involved!

Find a social media bestie CHART YOUR OWN COURSE

You'd be surprised how many people are actually looking for someone they team up with to conquer this mountain called social media. The load is much easier to carry when you have someone to share with! Pray that God will send you a bestie to share and support you.

Yes, there are ground rules for each social media platform, but you do have the freedom to express yourself how you want to. Free yourself from feeling like you have to do what the next blogger/entrepreneur is doing. We are all different, so just be authentically you because you are enough, and people prefer real over perfection anyway! Now, I am well aware these nuggets of encouragement don’t take the tasks of managing social media off your plate, GIVE YOURSELF GRACE but hearing God’s heart about something Your life is busy, so the quicker you learn to seemingly unimportant to Him is so extend grace to yourself, the easier it will be refreshing to me. God truly cares about for you to do what God has called you to do. everything that concerns His daughters P.S. No one learns everything about Pinterest, including how we manage our social media. Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter overnight.

On another note, I have found that scheduling social media out for at least a month at a time Enjoy the journey and learn along the way to be tremendously helpful; that way you can because you don’t know how God will use the focus on interacting with your audiences and seemingly tedious task of managing social tending to the core of your business/blog. FUNCTIONING IN DYSFUNCTION T.N.Vincent

Have you ever been laying down in a comfortable bed under the warm covers, sound asleep with a smile on your face, your mind is at peace, your body is light because you are rested? You just feel good, Your breathing is slow and steady, and your eyes are closed naturally, and you hear silence. You drift off into dreaming about the best day you ever have or the best joke that you ever heard that it made your belly hurt. I mean this is the sleep that makes you forget about alarm clocks and takes you deeper into a peaceful, lala lala lala lala land. BAM! Someone turns on the light and instantly you are squinting and bringing your hand up to cover your eyes as if someone just burned you with that fresh off the stove hot and popping fried chicken

grease or lightning from heaven suddenly struck. “HEY!! What you are doing you?” you scream or silently say out loud to yourself, depending on who does this to you. Who turned this light on? Was it your spouse, accountability partner, your brother, your sister, your mom, your friend? Or did God just straight shine the sun through your window? As I walked into my office today, I said, “Wow, something is different in here,” and I was squinting my eyes a little. I thought, “Hmmm, what is different in here?” As I began my daily routine, I attempted to turn on my light under my shelf and turn on my fountain. The light beamed so bright that I had to turn it back off. I said, “Wait a minute,” as I looked

up at the ceiling. I could barely look at the light as I had done the day before. Not just the day before, but the previous years before. Then the light bulb went off in my brain and I said, “Oh, they put in new lights.” As I walked down an aisle, I saw the maintenance engineer changing out the dull lights and putting in new lights. In other rows, where there was no light at all, he also put in new lights. Then I heard this is an example of how people are used to working in dullness and darkness. They get comfortable because they can function in a dysfunctional environment. Let’s take the reaction of some people when they walked in and unexpectedly ran into this light. How do you handle Seasons of Change? I asked my colleague when she came in, “Do you have an extra pair of shades?” She laughed, but her initial response was “Wow!! It’s about time.” I thought to myself, “Wow! She welcomes this new change with enthusiasm, upbeat sincerity and genuine heartfelt happiness.” I was thinking to myself, “How come she didn’t say anything to anybody if she wanted them to change the lights over her area.” See, God is trying to spark boldness in a lot of believers, but they feel like they don’t have the authority to speak out to make things better for themselves and the people around them. They want to play it safe, for fear of retaliation. They want to support people undercover for fear that if their counterparts knew, they would be degraded or demoted. So they settle for the status quo ad go along with the crowd, not realizing they are trading a version of their best self for self-sabotage. I got a conviction within myself and immediately repented for all the times the Lord was trying to get me to change things for the better and I wanted to keep what I had. My initial response to the new brightness was, “Let me keep working, but let me try to get my environment as close to the old environment. Let me make myself comfortable. Grab some shades and turn off my light on my desk.”

For some people, God is turning on the bright light of ideas for you to start your business, but you’re comfortable with a dull light of an illusion of stability coming from your employer. God is turning on the bright idea of you being in a relationship filled with love, respect, loyalty and friendship but you are comfortable functioning in a dysfunctional relationship filled with lies, deception, abuse and neglect. God is turning on the bright idea of you writing books, speaking, teaching, getting married, coaching, getting your degree, eating healthy, buying that house, getting a new car, applying for that promotion (without additional stress), but the dysfunction of others opinions is keeping you muffled amongst the masses. A gentleman came to speak with me, and I said, “So how do you like the new lights?” He immediately stated, “Somebody needs to turn

them down. It’s too bright in here.” He was basically saying it doesn’t take all that for us to work. Nothing is wrong with the way that it was. For some people, God is tugging on your heart to take that extra 15 minutes to sit still in prayer with him, but that would be “too bright” for you. You are thinking it doesn’t take all that. Some people God is tugging to cook at home four times a week instead of eating out four days a week. We don’t do

it because “that would be ‘too bright thinking and I’m healthy enough and it doesn’t take all that.” If we would be totally honest with ourselves, we know change needs to be made, but we don’t want to do the change because we have gotten used to functioning in our dysfunction. When someone comes along and is shining brightly, it allows us to see how low-light-level we are functioning. It should make you want to up your game. If we are mature, then that is an area of the heart within ourselves and we should welcome the light shining from our co-workers and colleagues. We will welcome the light from people that are winning. We will welcome the light from the 6-pack Susie. We will welcome the advice from the Millionaire Next-Door. Why not welcome the season of change that causes us to adjust to be our best self, not our familiar self? Don’t limit your challenges. Challenge your limits. One more colleague comes around the corner and she said, “Wow!! I can finally see. It’s so wonderfully bright over here.” This tells me she has been beaming with expectation. She said I can FINALLY see, which means she’s been doing her job, but its been extremely difficult, so it takes extra effort to get the job

done. She probably has made some careless mistakes because there was not enough light. Some things were blinded to her, but now they have been exposed. See, God is saying to some of us, for those whose expectation is in perfect alignment with what I am doing, then your expectation will influence the masses. What used to be hard, will now be made easy. What you didn’t qualify for last year, you will qualify for this year. What took you months to do will now take days. I’ve mentioned this before: God has called us to sweatless victories, and this is your portion. Notice, we didn’t have a say so in whether or not to change or not to change the lights, but it affected everybody present, which means let your light shine in front of your enemies and keep on shining, but only if you decide to be aware, make adjustment, and take action to Function in Light, despite the dysfunction around you.

BECOMING A BETTER YOU Kimberly Moses

Will anything good ever come out of this? Will my life ever get better? I don’t see my way out of this situation. I have been praying, fasting, and believing God for a breakthrough, but nothing has happened yet. These were some of my thoughts as I was going through the darkest moments of my life. I was established and had financial security, but one bad decision led to others. I had lost my five bedroom house and downgraded to a one bedroom apartment. I lost my good paying job and barely worked. Everything that I ever knew was gone. There was no shoulder to cry on or no one to depend on. I was lost and hopeless.

I was full of rage and I hated my ex-husband for mistreating me. I tried to get revenge, but that action landed me on two years of probation. I couldn’t believe that I had to stay stuck in another state that I wasn’t from to complete my probation and to go through a divorce. There were days that I felt lonely and depressed. My life was a mess and I was at rock bottom. One day, I had a breaking point after I had got arrested after violating my probation. I knew that if I continued on that dark path, then I would be dead or in prison. So I cried out to

God and He showed me how to be a better person. I had to be delivered from fear because it was destroying my life and caused me to be hindered in fulfilling my destiny. Then I had to release unforgiveness, anger, and the pain I felt towards my ex-husband. After I did these things, then I was able to walk on the road to recovery and embrace the prophetic call on my life. During my fourth year of ministry, the Lord gave me a teaching series called, “Becoming a better you.” I would write a blog then do a video on it afterward. Many people were blessed and a pastor gave me a prophetic word. He said, “I see this series becoming a book.” At the time that I received that word, I brushed it off because I wanted the series to stay a blog and not a book. Another year passed and more books were authored but I kept going back to that prophetic word. I had no other choice but to write it. Every day, I witness people who are stagnant in their walk with the Lord. They have no spiritual growth and aren’t progressing in their faith walk. It’s sad to say that they are ‘babes’ in Christ even though they may have been saved for a while or a church goer for years. They haven’t been trained and lack the power of God from their lives. One of my biggest prayers is to be productive and be effective. I enjoy empowering people to become better. The Lord gave me a list of seven steps to achieve success and if you follow them, you will produce the fruits of the Holy Spirit. These steps are: 1. Kingdom Focused 2. Take Steps To Grow Spiritually 3. Write down goals/make steps to achieve them 4. Eat Better And Exercise 5. Love On You 6. Cut the Negativity 7. Let it Go Each chapter consists of thought provoking questions to help you grow spiritually. As I reflect on how far the Lord has brought me from, I know I am a better person. I am not

full of anger anymore. When people try me or get an attitude with me, I don’t get one back. When challenges arise, I don’t worry because I know that the Lord will come through for me. When I go through warfare, my perspective is different than it was before. I used to see attacks as a bad thing, but now it means a major door is about to open or promotion (1 Corinthians 16:9). You don’t have to stay bitter, but you can become better. My friend, get ready to experience life changing revelation that will shift your mind and cause miraculous breakthroughs in your life. “Becoming A Better You,” coming March 2020

WHAT ON EARTH IS REAL LIFE? Andrea Marino

In a world of deception, how can we tell the real from the counterfeit? A number of things we take in through our eyes and ears can seem real, but no matter how real an artificial plant appears, it will never be real. Likewise, not all the words we hear are true. Experiences can give us understanding about life, but they are often entwined with lies based on past experiences, thereby causing our understanding to fall short of truth. God is the source of life. Only He is able to tell us what is real and true- also what is of lasting value. He, in fact, left Heaven and came to earth in the Person of Jesus to make sure we would know what is authentic among the things we see, hear, and experience in the world regarding

life. “God reveals the deep and hidden things; He knows what is in the darkness, and light dwells with Him.” (Daniel 2:22) Life on earth is certainly full of difficult circumstances and heartaches. Life on earth eventually ends, too, making God’s words most important to know. Indeed, the worst situation would be to find yourself in a real hell-fire existence for all of eternity. Jesus spoke at length about the place of eternal damnation because God wishes for no man to perish. Today is the day of salvation. “Happy are those whose sins are forgiven, whose wrongs are pardoned.” (Psalm 32:1) Being made righteous before a holy God, through the work of Jesus

on the cross for the sins of the world is real life. It is to have a life that is full and free and is one I believe every person is looking for. God has placed eternity in our hearts so we would hunger for more. By faith, Abraham believed God and righteousness was credited to him. So shall it be for the rest of mankind. “Jesus is the Way, the truth, and the life.” (John 14:6)

Who dares to think they are immune to the impending doom that His word speaks greatly about? There needs to be a reverential fear of God Almighty, who is able to cast souls into hell. (Luke 12:5) May our world return to the Lord; may we all possess living hope. “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.” (Psalm 119:105)

Today, we hear a lot of talk about World War III, known as Armageddon. It is the final battle to take place upon the earth. (Revelation 16:16, 21:1) This ‘war of all wars’ was foretold by God; just as He foretold the coming of Jesus, Savior of the world. (Isaiah 19:20, Luke 1:31,32) Jesus’ return to earth to set up God’s Kingdom is the real New World Order that will finally bring peace upon the earth. (Zechariah 14:9) As Satan is the great deceiver, he has been erecting his own one-world system, tricking people into believing man can establish peace and goodwill towards men upon the earth. It may sound good and appear as such for three and a half years into the tribulation after the rapture of the church of Jesus Christ, but it is a false kingdom that will come to a brutal end. “I saw a beast coming up out of the sea (of people). The dragon gave him his power, and the world was amazed (that his fatal wound was healed). They worshipped the dragon because he gave authority to the beast.” (Revelation 13: 1-5) Satan can appear as an angel of light. (2 Corinthians 11:14) Be not deceived; he is the ancient serpent who is the devil. (Revelation 20:2) Satan is behind the mind-blinding spirit currently operating in the world. (2 Corinthians 4:4)

SWEET AND SPICY SRIRACHA TOFU

This Sweet and Spicy Sriracha Tofu is fiery, flavorful, and totally vegan too! Skip the takeout and Sriracha it up at home! PREP TIME 12 MINUTES COOK TIME 10 MINUTES TOFU PRESS TIME 30 MINUTES TOTAL TIME 22 MINUTES SERVINGS 4 SERVINGS CALORIES 228 KCAL INGREDIENTS 14 oz package EXTRA FIRM tofu 1 TBSP cornstarch or arrowroot powder plus extra as needed 2 TBSP frying oil

1-2 TBSP sliced green onion 1-2 tsp toasted sesame seeds SWEET AND SPICY SRIRACHA SAUCE 1 cup water 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce or gluten-free tamari soy sauce if GF 1/4 cup granulated sugar 2 TBSP honey or sweet chili sauce 2-3 cloves garlic (peeled and minced) 1-3 TBSP Sriracha 1-2 TBSP cornstarch 1-2 TBSP water 1 tsp toasted sesame seeds Instructions ADVANCE PREP

Drain and remove tofu from package. Slice the block of tofu into two 1/2 inch thin planks and place on a stack of 4-5 folded paper towels, placing an additional stack of paper towels on top. Set something heavyish on top (I use a cast iron skillet) to make a make-shift tofu press for water removal. Allow to sit. I usually start my tofu about 30 minutes before I want to start cooking. Once the water has been pressed from your tofu, cut each plank into 8 bite-sized cubes, for 16 pieces total. Sprinkle either cornstarch or arrowroot starch over the tofu and gently toss until evenly coated and no powdery spots remain. (This light coating prevents sticking and get’s the outside of the tofu nice and crispy!) WHILE YOU PRESS YOUR TOFU, LET’S MAKE THE SAUCE! Measure out water, soy sauce, sugar, sriracha, honey, and garlic in a small sauce pan and bring to a boil. Start with 1 TBSP Sriracha then add extra as desired at the end after tastetesting the spice level. You can always add more at the end if desired. In a small bowl, mix 1-2 TBSP cornstarch with 1-2 TBSP water together at a 1 to 1 ratio. Pour the cornstarch mixture into the bubbling sauce and whisk well. Reduce heat as needed and continue to cook another minute or two until the sauce thickens, whisking constantly to prevent sticking. Remove from heat and set aside. Return to a burner to warm up on low once your tofu is ready. FOR PAN-FRIED TOFU Bring a pan or cast iron skillet to mediumhigh heat, then add 2 TBSP oil once hot. Tilt and swirl pan so oil is evenly distributed.

Once the oil has evenly heated, add your tofu, spaced, so that no sides touch. Let the first side sear for about 6 minutes so a nice even crust forms. You can shake the pan occasionally so they don’t stick but keep them on the first side. Once perfectly golden, flip each tofu nugget to the other side and sear for about 4-5 minutes. Remove from pan and allow to drain on a paper towel. FOR BAKED TOFU: Pre-heat oven to 400 degrees F and place a piece of parchment paper over a baking sheet. Arrange the coated tofu spaced on the parchment. Bake for 25-35 minutes, tossing or flipping at the 15-minute mark until nice and crispy. Warm up your sauce and toss with tofu just before serving. If less sauce is desired feel free to pour and dip as needed. Garnish with toasted sesame seeds and sliced green onion. Serve with your choice of grains and veggies and dive in while it’s hot. Enjoy! WHEN THE SUN DOESN’T SHINE ANY MORE By Shirley Cooper

Is as the light of the morning when the sun rises, A morning without clouds, When the tender grass springs out of the earth, Through sunshine after rain.’ (2 Samuel 23:4) What is a morning without clouds like? Imagine waking up knowing there will never be another cloud again! No rain, no thunder, no storms? Just pure shining light. Pure sunlight! Ahhhhhh....what a glorious day!

I’m 100% positive that anyone in the world would just love a day like that! I know for sure that I certainly would. Just a ray of sunshine poking into my life that never disappeared. But that’s not the life we were given. It is, however, the life we are promised. The very day that Jesus died on that cross, was the very day that the Son re-

fused to shine. Today, His Ray shines through the lives of so many in the midst of chaos and storm. In the life that we now juggle with, there is light, a ray of sunshine that brings a completeness that we are sure to enjoy if we can just truly grasp it! The life that we struggle with today brings fear and worry. It brings insecurities and lies. It refuses to glance at hope and stomps on our faith completely, shattering the only thing left to hold onto. But God........ God loved us so much that in the midst of our chaos....He gave us the only Son we will ever need. A Ray of Hope and SONshine through an unwavering faith. We must have faith. Three biblical scriptures spoke out to me whenever I hear God say, “Have faith!” (Hebrews 11:1) Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. (Psalm 46:10) Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth! (John 8:24) unless you believe that I am who I claim to be, you will die in your sins. God never said that we wouldn’t face hardship or be attacked. He only promised it would not prosper and that it would all be worth it. How right is He? Welp, isn’t that part of our faith? To believe without a shadow of a doubt that He is right? I have friends that are dealing with so much. Some losing their children and others their spouses. But all of them struggling with the twists and turns of waking up in the middle of a nightmare.

It’s a scary thought, but it’s happening. I often wonder what is in store for me? What nightmare will I one day wake up to? Yes, it’s a very scary thought, but it’s likely to happen. But what would it be like when all of our worries are actually gone? What would it be like to open our eyes to an everlasting ray of Son? And night will be no more. They will need no light of lamp or sun, for the Lord God will be their light, and they will reign forever and ever. (Revelation 22:5 ) Imagine that?! Never having to experience another cloud. No more tears or fears! Complete bliss. Unspeakable joy!! That’s the life that God promises! A life of everlasting hope. A hope found in Jesus alone. Imagine waking up to that? How beautiful the day. How fulfilling the life. Today, look at your current situation and speak life into it! Stop the devil in his tracks and know that God is still God in the midst of chaos. Where there are unanswered prayers, God remains the same. And where dysfunctional is deeply rooted.....KNOW THAT GOD IS STILL GOD!!!!

Prophetess Michelle McClain Walters: I love doing interviews. It’s my pleasure. Interviewer: How did you know that you were a prophet? Prophetess Michelle McClain Walters: That’s a loaded question. I came into a company of prophets and I was identified first before I actually had an encounter with God. Apostle John started inviting prophetic presbytery when I first went to his ministry. I could be sitting in the 56th row and in the last seat and a prophet would call me out by word of knowledge. “The lady in the 56th row, down on her knees in the yellow sweater, come forth!” Interviewer: Wow! Prophetess Michelle McClain Walters: Initially, I didn’t really have a lot of supernatural encounters until they started to prophesy over

my life. When they started prophesying, I had this belief… Well, I was raised as Baptist and we were just taught the word. If we couldn’t find it in the word, then we would just put it in the garbage. When they prophesied to me, I started to search the scriptures about prophets. I saw that God set prophets in the church and I started to embrace it. That’s how I got into the prophetic ministry. I started to pray about it and God started showing me different seasons in my life. He showed me when He talked to me that it was Him. It was Him all along, leading and guiding me. Interviewer: Amen. That’s encouraging because a lot of people don’t know about the prophetic ministry. At first, I didn’t know what a prophet was. I thought a prophet was an obese Caucasian guy with a beard. I said, “God, that’s not me.” (Laughs) Prophetess Michelle McClain Walters: (Laughs) I came from a Baptist background (saved by grace) and they didn’t really teach sanctification. They didn’t teach about tongues. I thought it was only for crazy people. When I came to Apostle John Eckhardt’s church, I believe that my gift was activated by stepping into the atmosphere. When they started praying in tongues, I knew what they were saying. I didn’t know what gift it was but it was like an Acts experience. For example, how do we hear these men speaking of the wondrous

works of God in their own language? I didn’t realize that it was the gifts of tongue interpretation. Interviewer: How does the gift of interpretation work? I heard some people say when they went overseas, they were speaking in a different language and people could understand them. Prophetess Michelle McClain Walters: Yeah. It has been activated. It’s almost like it’s one of those things that you have to use in order for you to see it works. For me, it’s not like I can interpret my own tongues, but there are times where I’m in an atmosphere and they’re praying in tongues that I can just hear the Word of the Lord. I can hear what they are saying or what’s coming out of their spirit or what’s coming out of their human spirit. Interviewer: That’s an awesome gift. Prophetess Michelle McClain Walters: That’s just one of those you know that you know type of deals. Interviewer: Yeah. It’s a grace, right? Prophetess Michelle McClain Walters: It’s really a grace. It’s one of those gifts that you

have to activate. I always teach authority isn’t authority until you use it. So you have to be in the midst of using it to see it manifest. You have to extend your faith to see it operate. Interviewer: Yes, yes. Just to piggyback a little bit, you mentioned being in the right atmosphere at your church and if you are activated. I know some people come to me and they are frustrated, Prophetess, because they may be under a pastor and they don’t believe in prophets. What advice would you give about just being in the right atmosphere to develop that prophetic gift in their life? Prophetess Michelle McClain Walters: This is what happened for me. I had just gotten divorced and my sister-in-law took me to a John Eckhardt meeting. She tricked me and told me we were going out for “soul food” but she really meant “food for the soul”, right? So when I came to the meeting, he was teaching on rejection and you know how Apostle John can teach. It nailed me, so I went to the altar for prayer. I didn’t know when they said prayer they meant come out, like cast the devil out type program. And so I had that experience that night when he was praying for me. When I went home I had a dream of my old pastor and in the dream, they were having a big barbeque so everybody was standing in line for him to put meat on their plate. And my pastor at that time, in the dream, he said to me, “I don’t have any meat for you anymore, go over to John Eckhart’s.” Interviewer: My God. Prophetess Michelle McClain Walters: So when I went to John Eckart’s, I was in the atmosphere. I was sent through a dream so it was meant to join his church. The deal is a lot of people feel like we have to pay homage and we have to live our life in the church we were saved and delivered in. I always say, “Don’t let the place of your deliverance become the place of your captivity.” Because some churches are baptist churches, they’re catholic and you know that God is awaken-

ing something bigger in you, so you have to transition to the place where your anointing is going to be accepted. A lot of times we don’t balance our allegiance to Jesus, so we don’t want to leave. My advice would be if you know you’re called to be a prophet and they don’t accept prophets and don’t activate prophets, you have to leave. If you know that’s the call of God on your life you have to go to a place where you can be nurtured, trained, activated, and also given an opportunity. Because what I have also seen in the body of Christ, you have people now who understand that you have the prophetic and they activate people, but they don’t make room for them to demonstrate or to be trained in the local assembly in the prophetic. So they try to put the new wine in the old wineskin.

Prophetess Michelle McClain Walters: The Prophetic Advantage was a prophetic word. I got a word. It was my first prophetic presbytery retreat and they prophesied over me. They said, “God is going to equip you with the prophetic advantage.” A lot of times the prophetic reveals things and it should also send you on a journey to find God. So that prophetic word said that I was going to be equipped with the prophetic advantage and it put me on a journey to learn about the prophetic. But I also was manifested because it caused me, how can I say this? I manifested rejection because I said that this must be crazy because Interviewer: My God. That’s really good, I haven’t had an advantage. You know if you Prophetess. I was inspired by your story about could look at my life, you will see that my mother died and my father didn’t want me how the Lord spoke to you to write the Prophetic Advantage. There are a lot of books on and I had just been through a divorce. I said well if I am going to have a prophetic advanthe prophetic. But you said your book is different. I’ve read some of your book. I saw it on tage, it is about time. That is how I started.

I went on this quest to learn the prophetic and then I started teaching and training, I saw how the prophetic gave me a definition for my life and started seeing that there were a lot more people around me that didn’t have definition. So what I did was I said, “Okay, I am going to do everything that I can to help people find their destiny and connect them to the voice of God,” because I think prophecy should be a bridge that should connect you to the voice of God. It may not give you everything. It may give you some details but it should always lead you to the feet of Jesus. It should always lead you on a quest to learn more and I think that is what prophecy is supposed to be and it is supposed to be God and the prophet should never be God in your life but we should always be pointing you to Him. So all of this teaching and training and going around the world and one day I was in church and I had just come from Africa. The woman that is the Vice President of book acquisitions

[and others] were there to honor Prophet John and I was just up praying. I was praying. I was not preaching. I was just praying prophetically and the Lord spoke to her and told her, “That this lady needs a bigger platform. Her voice needs to go out so help her to write her first book.” And so that is how my prophetic advantage [came]. When I prayed, Apostle John called me and asked, “What kind of favor do you have on your life because they want to do a book? Do you have a book?” And I said, “No, I don’t have a book but I got a lot of notes.” He said, “On what?” And I said, “On the prophetic” and so when I began to seek the Lord and asked, “What shall I call it,” and He said, “The Prophetic Advantage.” Interviewer: Yeah! I love how God ordered your steps and how God favored you. That is just very encouraging. It is important to serve. You are one of the lead intercessors at your church. Prophetess Michelle McClain Waters: I was the Director of Prayer and one of the apostolic prophets that build up teams and send them out to the nations. That’s the way God uses me. The scripture says that the five-fold ministry has been set in the church. I have been set in the church. I serve the vision of the house and from the vision of the church, I was sent. My husband and I recently moved to Orlando to start work here. Interviewer: I was wondering about that. I saw that you had a conference in Florida. Prophetess Michelle McClain Walters: I did a conference called Pursue and 80% of the people there were from out of town. The Lord built my faith. He said, “You have a grace to gather.” In my mind, I thought, “I’m going to do an event in Chicago and local people will support.” But God didn’t let it be that way. Most of the people that came got on a plane and they came from out of state. God said, “I have given you a vision to gather. If you build, they will come.” That’s why I started doing conferences in Orlando. I had three successful

conferences there. Interviewer: Amen. That encourages me because I have a conference coming up. Like you said, most of the people are coming from out of state. That’s exactly what’s happening. I was getting discouraged about the locals not coming. Prophetess Michelle McClain Walters: Good. Interviewer: What’s the importance of serving and submitting in ministry underneath our leaders? Prophetess Michelle McClain Walters: Well, if you are prophetic, the scripture says in Amos 3:7, “Surely, the Lord does nothing unless He first reveals His secrets to His servants the prophets.” We always focus on prophets but we never focus on servants. Jesus said that the greatest among us are servants. In serving, not only are you helping to advance the Kingdom but you are learning. I found

that when you are submitted to authority, it provides covering and protection. Also, it gave me space to grow. A lot of times, we feel like we have the capacity to carry wisdom and revelation. I found that we only have the information or revelatory part of it. It takes time to do the implementation to see the manifestation. We have to give ourselves time to grow. Also, we are supposed to be set in the church, serve the vision, then be sent out from the house. Interviewer: I like that. It’s order and a set protocol. I don’t see that too much. Nowadays, people want to go do their own thing. Prophetess Michelle McClain Walters: Yes. Especially on social media. Just because you have a platform doesn’t mean you have depth. Just because you have a gift, God will reveal things but has it been tested. Do you really have the interpretation? Have you had time to apply it in order to see the manifestation?

Interviewer: Amen. I heard you mention God’s timing in some of your teachings. One day you didn’t feel like going to church or a meeting. You went anyways and there was a lady there that offered you a contract. Was it the same day? Prophetess Michelle McClain Walters: Yes. It was the same day. That’s how The Prophetic Advantage began. I had traveled out of country and I was tired. I had just gotten back that Saturday night. I kept feeling the Holy Spirit. He would awaken me. I was jet-lagged. I always prayed Isaiah 50:4, “The Lord will awaken my ear, morning by morning.” I was awakened to hear. He said, “Go to service.” I even had a vision of what to put on. I did and when I went to service, I didn’t know Apostle John was going to be honored by Charisma House because he had sold half a million copies of books. The vice president of Charisma was there and heard me opening up in prayer as I always do. I’m so glad that I was obedient to the Holy Spirit. It’s important to listen to the voice of God and to be in the right place at the right time. If I would’ve argued with the Holy Spirit, I would’ve missed the timing of God. From that day, once I did one book, they asked if I were to do another book, what would it be? I gave them my ideas and it developed into six books. Interviewer: Amen. I love that. How do you become a best selling author? Prophetess Michelle McClain Walters: Hard work. Writing the book is only the beginning. I had to learn the hard way because no one told me. Charisma is like the promise land of book publishing. Once I wrote the book and they accepted it, I thought, “I’m in the money honey.” No one knew my name. I sold more books during the first year than Charisma did because nobody knew my name. It takes a lot of hard work and promotion. You have to get the message out yourself. You have to invest. The book came out in 2012 and it took until about 2015 before the book really caught on

to other books: Ester, Ana, and other books. People started looking for other things. They were like, “Oh, she wrote this one and I like the one I just read.” You develop like a feeding pool. They will tell their friends and then they will tell their friends. It’s a season. You have to promote and you can’t be afraid to get on Facebook to talk about your message and why it’s important. It takes a lot of prayer. I had to lay hands. Interviewer: That’s inspiring because I remember when I wrote my second book, no one bought it for a whole year. Prophetess Michelle McClain Walters: You have to have a way to continue the conversation. Number one: you write the book. You have to speak up and develop creative ways to get the message out, different challenges, gifts, give some stuff away free, and introduce your own message. That’s the best thing you can do. Introduce your message and develop your audience. Be authentic. A lot of people write books but they haven’t lived through anything yet. Jesus said, “I learn obedience through the things that I suffered.” He had an authority in the area in the things that He suffered so He had the ability to really help

people. Some people write books just to make money but is it your calling? Is it something that God has called you to do? Is your message promoting the Kingdom and making Jesus famous?

Interviewer: Amen. That’s good. I heard other ministers say that they don’t write books for money. They write because God instructed them to do it. What’s the difference between a God idea and a good idea?

Interviewer: Amen. I love that answer. One day, I went on your website and saw your mentorship program. What’s the difference between a mentor and a spiritual mother?

Prophetess Michelle McClain Walters: Good is coming from the knowledge of good and evil. A good idea is temporal but a God idea is eternal. It comes from another place. It comes from an eternal realm. It is something that God was thinking about before we were all created. A good idea can bless people but it’s

Prophetess Michelle McClain Walters: None. I think it is just a name. A mentor can mentor you in an area. A spiritual mother nurtures your life. They are the giver of life. They aren’t just looking to mentor you in a gifting or a particular area. A mother is looking at your entire life. They want to know if you are good spirit, soul, and body. They want your soul to

be made whole. They want to see you flourish. A mentor is in your life for a season but a spiritual mother is there until the end. Interviewer: You mentioned the apostolic a lot during this interview. How did you know that you were an apostle? Is there such a thing as a hybrid office? Prophetess Michelle McClain Walters: For me, I was born an apostle with a strong prophetic anointing, but I was not mature enough to walk in it. I was ordained and recognized as a prophet. Recently, God has released the authority as an apostle. I guess you can call it a hybrid. Interviewer: Ok. How did you develop your passion for prayer? Prophetess Michelle McClain Walters: I just like being with God. I didn’t even know I had a passion for prayer. When I found out about the prophetic ministry, that God speaks to me, and He had a destiny for my life, the first prophecy that I got was, “You are not in the world by chance. You are not in this decade by chance. God has a specific destiny for your life.” That broke twenty-five years of mother rejection and father rejection. Mother rejection because my mother died and there was a measure of abandonment. Father rejection because my father didn’t want me. So you are always searching for significance. When I found out that I didn’t have to die prematurely like my mother and God created me with a purpose, I went on this quest to get to know Him. On my quest to get to know God and to be with Him, I would open up the scriptures and read them out loud. I would say stuff like this, “Lord, Your word says, He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.” Then I would ask, “Lord, what does it mean to abide underneath your shadow?” I would start praying or just talking and speaking in tongues. One day, I had a vision. The Lord told me to go to the prayer meeting at my church. He showed me the prayer leader at that time. He said, “I want

you to grab a hold of her skirt tail and take her everywhere she needs to go.” I went to church and told her, “The Lord told me to grab a hold of your skirt tail and take you wherever you need to go.” She said, “That’s good because I need a ride home today.” (Laughter) Interviewer: Wow. That’s funny. Prophetess Michelle McClain Walters: She said, “I just got a prophecy from Bernard Jordan that a young lady was going to grab a hold of my skirt tail.” Since she was the prayer leader, she said, “Michelle, I want you to pray.” I said, “Pray.” She said, “Just pray like you do with God at home.” Then she gave me the microphone. I started praying and by the time I finished praying, half the people were down on their face and I didn’t know. She said, “Girl. You got all this anointing coming out of you. What have you been doing?” I told her what I do at home. I was newly divorced and a little infant baby. All I did was stay at home and talk to God. So, that’s how my prayer life started. Interviewer: Amen. I love that in your hardships, God showed you how to pray. Prophetess Michelle McClain Walters: Yes. I was so happy that God speaks. I would hear a voice, “Michelle say this or don’t go that way.” When my friends and I were at the club back in the day, I would get a look on my face and say, “We need to get out of here.” They would say, “Oh my god. Here she goes.” They used to call me a clairvoyant then we would leave out the club through the back door. All of sudden, someone comes through the front door of the club shooting. They all knew that once I got saved and went to church that was going to be the next step. They said, “You have always been like that. You always heard God say stuff.” Then they started bringing things to my remembrance of what I heard. That’s how hearing the voice of God and prayer developed. Interviewer: Amen. Prophetess Michelle McClain Walters: When you are worshipping God there are three thrones in the place of worship. One is fear. You don’t want to worship or pray from a place of fear. The other one is the place of selfish ambition. Sometimes we pray or seek after God for selfish ambition. The third throne is the place of love. We have to know how much God the Father loves us. When we come into His presence, we want to come with the mind that He loves us. He is good to us, and that He hears our voice. The greatest is love. Now abides faith, hope, and love but the greatest of all is love. Until you understand how much God loves you, you can’t have faith or believe

Some of the declarations in this book are declarations that I either already speak or have spoken over myself, and there are other declarations in this book I felt were for me.
