BUT THE GREATEST OF THESE IS LOVE

By Nickie McCoy The Bible tells us in Mark 12:31: And the second like namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these. Yet the enemy has infected the souls of so many with hate, anger, and envy, including Christians, that it’s clouded their vision. Causing them to view everyone through critical, negative, judgmental eyes, searching for and then magnifying the faults of everyone around them. This has become the new trend. Just scan down your social media page. You’ll see hate has become an epidemic and genuine love for others outside of their circle has become foreign. So foreign that people who try to love this way are viewed and judged as fake and often misunderstood. The Bible says in Ephesians 6:12 KJV: For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places”. The resolution to this epidemic of hate....JESUS and a continual, daily refilling of the Holy Spirit. More of Him and less of you as He gives you the ability to be the light in the dark places, speak life and healing instead of death and curses, forgive the seemingly unforgiveable, celebrate the good in others, and LOVE without cause or reason. Therefore becoming an living example and a walking representation of Jesus, as you show the world how to love. 1 Corinthians 13:13 says: And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. ❤️

GRACE AND BEYOND

By Vera L. Smith As we close out this month of April, I would like to share a prophetic word to carry us into May and beyond. As we approach the Month of grace the Lord will extend His right hand of fellowship even more, His evolve will become clearer for some while for others He may seem to go silent. Just as there was a 400 year gap of silence from the prophets between the Old and New Testament, some will experience this wilderness. Don’t be alarmed The Lord is seeking to draw us closer to Him and He is pushing us to rely more on His voice than on the voice of the prophets. There will be an our pouring of blessings, grace and mercy from now until the month of August, during this time it is imperative that we speak only what He says, we pray for our country, it’s leaders and future leaders. While everyone is concerned with who the next president will be the Lord is concerned with the state of His church!

Word of Knowledge

Kimberly Hargraves 1 Corinthians 12:4-11 says, “Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: But all these worketh

that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.” There are nine gifts of the Holy Spirit: Word of wisdom, word of knowledge, spirit of faith, gift of healing, gift of working of miracles, gift of prophecy, gift of discerning of spirits, gift of tongues, and interpretation of tongues. The Holy Spirit distributes the spirit as he wills or chooses too. The gifts of the spirit are manifestations of the Holy Spirit. We need to have communion or fellowship with the Holy Spirit in order to see these gifts manifested. Word of Knowledge: Word of knowledge is a revelation gift. It can be defined as the super-

natural comprehension of Christ and His word. An example of the word of knowledge could involve impressions on your body such as a physical ailment on the person you are praying for. Word of knowledge can be a supernatural fact. It is supernatural insight or understanding of circumstances. Here are three examples: Noah building the ark, Joshua knowing about Achan’s sin, and Elisha knowing that Gehazi lied to Naaman. Noah building the Ark. Genesis 6:14-22 says, “Make thee an ark of gopher wood; rooms shalt thou make in the ark, and shalt pitch it within and without with pitch. And this is the

REJOICE ESSENTIAL MAGAZINE MAY 2016

fashion which thou shalt make it of: The length of the ark shall be three hundred cubits, the breadth of it fifty cubits, and the height of it thirty cubits. A window shalt thou make to the ark, and in a cubit shalt thou finish it above; and the door of the ark shalt thou set in the side thereof; with lower, second, and third stories shalt thou make it. And, behold, I, even I, do bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; and every thing that is in the earth shall die. But with thee will I establish my covenant; and thou shalt come into the ark, thou, and thy sons, and thy wife, and thy sons’ wives with thee. And of every living thing of all flesh, two of every sort shalt thou bring into the ark, to keep them alive with thee; they shall be male and female. Of fowls after their kind, and of cattle after their kind, of every creeping thing of the earth after his kind, two of every sort shall come unto thee, to keep them alive. And take thou unto thee of all food that is eaten, and thou shalt gather it to thee; and it shall be for food for thee, and for them. Thus did Noah; according to all that God commanded him, so did he.” Joshua knowing about Achan’s sin. Joshua 7:10-11 says, “And the Lord said unto Joshua, Get thee up; wherefore liest thou thus upon thy face? Israel hath

sinned, and they have also transgressed my covenant which I commanded them: for they have even taken of the accursed thing, and have also stolen, and dissembled also, and they have put it even among their own stuff.” Elisha knowing that Gehazi lied to Naaman. 2 Kings 5:20-27 says, “But Gehazi, the servant of Elisha the man of God, said, Behold, my master hath spared Naaman this Syrian, in not receiving at his hands that which he brought: but, as the Lord liveth, I will run after him, and take somewhat of him. So Gehazi followed after Naaman. And when Naaman saw him running after him, he lighted down from the chariot to meet him, and said, Is all well? And he said, All is well. My master hath sent me, saying, Behold, even now there be come to me from mount Ephraim two young men of the sons of the prophets: give them, I pray thee, a talent of silver, and two changes of garments. And Naaman said, Be content, take two talents. And he urged him, and bound two talents of silver in two bags, with two changes of garments, and laid them upon two of his servants; and they bare them before him. And when he came to the tower, he took them from their hand, and bestowed them in the house: and he let the men go, and they departed. But he went in, and stood before his master. And Elisha said unto him, Whence comest thou, Gehazi? And he

said, Thy servant went no whither. And he said unto him, Went not mine heart with thee, when the man turned again from his chariot to meet thee? Is it a time to receive money, and to receive garments, and oliveyards, and vineyards, and sheep, and oxen, and menservants, and maidservants? The leprosy therefore of Naaman shall cleave unto thee, and unto thy seed for ever. And he went out from his presence a leper as white as snow.” Dear Heavenly Father, I repent of my sins. You are Holy and Righteous. I exalt you, Lord. Lord, I desire to have the gift of the word of knowledge. Lord, I ask for a supernatural download of revelation and insight. Lord, keep me humble. Lord, give me wisdom so I can use this gift to bring you glory and bless your people. Thank you for answering this prayer in Jesus’s name. Amen. 1) Word of Knowledge. http://www.christcenteredmall. com/teachings/gifts/word-ofknowledge.htm. Accessed April 27, 2016.

THE PAST Pastor Shirley Cooper

“Everyone has a past. Don’t regret it. Instead allow God to use it. He’ll take the person You were yesterday to improve the person You are today.” Pastor Shirley When we face today, there’s a guarantee that we’ll eventually have no choice but to face yesterday, again, & again, & again, because “some” refuse to let it go. If today isn’t complicated enough, yesterday can complicate things even more. There are so many people who struggle with many things, but when one struggles with the, “that was me then, this is me now” sting, it’s hard to rid ourselves from the pain of explaining over and over again that the person we once were, no longer exist.

“We’ve changed”, “We’re handling things in a different way.” Although, this is true it’s still so hard for other’s to see the new & improved “you” anymore. They flock to the old place we once stood, rather than the new place that we’re at now. With this being said, we need to face the fact that our change may never affect a single soul the way we’d like to see it happen. It may never be looked upon as a great mile marker achieved in the eye’s of those we glance at for approval. It may never leave the ground in some eye’s. But as long as we know that it’s put a dent in our today, that truly is all that matters. When we take the person we are in the right now, we tend to forget that all too often the person f yesterday comes to mind. However,

we can look at things in a different perspective. We can get upset, or we can challenge the fact. The fact that we have an unfamiliar face, and that selfishness no longer plays a part in our daily lives anymore. The fact that we are now stepping onto new grounds, leading others onto a path of righteousness rather than the road to destruction, and bitterness. All because we have changed. So who are we now that we have decided to travel the road God has ordained? Who have we become? The road that we traveled before led us to dark places, while today, change has gripped our very hearts, thrusting those around us into a disbelief, but bringing us to the peace of God’s light. Will our change ever be accepted?

REJOICE ESSENTIAL MAGAZINE MAY 2016

Can we really be the difference between life and death for someone struggling in their bad habits, addictions and old life? Will our past help someone, even if that meant one person’s entire existence? When God decided to touch my life, changing it all the way around, I wasn’t exactly ready. I wasn’t ready to give up the things I desired so much. I loved my life. I loved that when things didn’t work out, I would get credit for solving the problem. I liked being the outlet to everyone’s issues.

difficult to look ahead and see ourselves standing in a different pond. A place where life just doesn’t seem real.

Sadly, I didn’t realize that life wasn’t about what I could do, it wasn’t about who I was at all. But it was always about God. A God who knew me from the inside out. A God who would eventually rebuild the woman that stood before Him. A God who would travel the distance I could never travel on my own. A God who knew how many hairs were on my head. A God whose words alone are mightier than any sword I could carry.

A road where we are in a position of victory and triumph, versus a journey we feel we are stranded in. Only God can create that detour. The complete turn around that brings a brand new skin. A restored heart, and a powerful win. Why is it that some people never change, even when we pray for it? Because they cannot see the sprinkles of blessings around them through the hail that is constantly being thrown their way. They can’t grasp the truth that God is their victory, their win, their triumph, their eternal joy. They refuse to remove their temporary desires, in exchange for a promise God has carried through generation to generation. They’d rather be promoted in their physical, than in their spiritual. They see things from man’s point of view, rather than God’s truth, through visions and dreams.

My effectiveness was nothing like the effective result God breathed into me. The result that led to a supernatural system, relieving me of anything this world could ever offer. I was set free. The balance between what was and what is, gave me a whole new outlook on life. A different perspective on what it meant to be subservient to my Father’s will. I became the woman God intended me to be and more. Although we are always a work in progress, we are given the choice to change who we thought we were, to the person God knows we are. We are given the freedom to accept the things we cannot change alone, and the freedom to allow God to change who we in our own mind, just can’t believe exist. It’s

Our past is a difficult place to rest. It’s a constant reminder of who we once were. But it isn’t until God completely changes us, that we can truly grasp the reality that with God all things are possible. In that place will we find a peace that surpasses all understanding. A comfort that only through Gods touch can we be transformed. So when Satan tries to remind us of our past, praise God. For our past was used for God’s mighty purpose, to glorify His great name through the person we once were to the person we are today. The devils job is always to destroy God’s ministry and His children, but God’s job is mighty, crushing anything that doesn’t bring Him glory! We are in God’s plan for victory.

And every time the enemy tries to strike, it’s because he knows that God’s plan for us exceeds anything he could ever do. Satan’s tactics are ugly, while God’s work in us is beautiful! Let’s not allow the flesh to lie any longer, the Lord is casting out the demons that are used to bring our past to our present, trying to destroy our hope, using everything we used to be as a weapon against us. Today, look back at the mirror and see what the devil never wanted you to discover. Your victorious outcome. (1 Corinthians 3: 7) So neither he who plants is anything nor he who waters, but [only] God Who makes it grow and become greater. (Proverbs 11: 28) He who leans on, trusts in, and is confident in his riches shall fall, but the [uncompromisingly] righteous shall flourish like a green bough.(Colossians 1: 10) That you may walk (live and conduct yourselves) In a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to Him and desiring to please Him in all things, bearing fruit in every good work and steadily growing and increasing in and by the knowledge of God [with fuller, deeper, and clearer insight, acquaintance, and recognition]. (Matthew 5: 48) You, therefore, must be perfect [growing into complete maturity of godliness in mind and character, having reached the proper height of virtue and integrity], as your heavenly Father is perfect.

PRAYER IS NOT JUST WORDS IT’S LIFE

Tiara Figueroa When you start your day you wake up shower and get dress. It’s daily steps that are done every morning. If you wake up and forget to dress how can you start your day. It’s the same with prayer. Prayer changes the outlook on your day and changes your mood. It’s communicating with the lord. Just like you talk to your husband or wife do you forget to speak to them in the morning. Do you get right up and walk right pass them. It’s the same with the lord do you notice him in the morning or do you walk pass him as well. The only thing that keeps a relationship together is communication and that’s what we have with the lord a relationship a committed to him. How can we allow the lord to step in if there is no communication. Yes we can see him but we know he is around and is near prayer is the key to unlock the doors that we can’t open. To change the heart and minds of ppl we pray for which we can’t do on our own. To flood the heaven with our prayers when we feel like we are not being heard. Without prayer we

can not receive the strength to get through the day. Without the full armor we will get attack everyday non stop out life our finances our families. Prayer is not just talking with the lord it’s covering us and shield us along with the blood of Jesus. You can not change the outlook of your day. One time I forgot to pray I was so moody I was like next time I’ll get up earlier to pray. Prayer is our sandwich it’s the bread that holds us together the meat is our faith and worship. Without eating the whole day you can pass out like that. Same thing with prayer there’s no survival. I apologize to the lord because he convicted me this morning and said my prayers were cute and simple but they are not bold as they used to be. He place the boldness inside of me and he wants to see that again through my prayers. I told the lord ok I will I’m sorry again I told him I was looking like đ&#x;˜łđ&#x;˜łđ&#x;˜ł but I know the lord has to give tough love every one in a while so thank you father đ&#x;˜˜. So just like I mention earlier prayer is our sandwich the bread holds it

together which Jesus is the bread of life. So we have to do better with our prayers. In the bible it says Colossians 4:2 Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful. ( Not only are we just talking to him but were thanking him for what he has done and given to us. We want to show him we appreciate everything he does big and small. (Mark 11:24) Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. This bible verse is the faith in the sandwich.(Jeremiah 29:12) on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. We are getting his undivided attention he’s listening to us. Now it’s time to let everything out release it all unto him everything on your mind. Prayer changes things It’s something we must do daily. Not something we do once in a while but continue to committed our self to him and build that relationship with him.

COUNTERFEIT

Reynaldo Rodriguez Sin always has consequences that Satan never suggests when he dangles the forbidden fruit in front of us. Even after the sin has been confessed and forgiven, the consequences are still present. The angry words can never be taken back. The physical or emotional injury caused to another person can never be undone. The life that was destroyed can never be restored. And it all begins when we see God as something or someone other than who He really is. Since his first success in the Garden of Eden, Satan has gone on to bigger and bigger lies about God. He has convinced some people that there is no such person as God, “The fool says in his heart, “There is no God. They are corrupt, and

their ways are vile; there is no one who does good.” (Psalm 53: 1), and no supernatural power. What you see in this world is all you get, he says. There is no life beyond the grave. Sometimes the counterfeit god that Satan suggests is the universe itself. Everything and every person is said to be part of god. One simply cannot separate the spiritual and the physical, because they are all one. This belief is characteristic of many Asian religions and is the belief system behind many of the practices that come from that part of the world. New Age teaches in the West have adopted this view of god and the world. They tell us our primary sin is in not recognizing that we are really god, or at least part of god, and that we can control our own destiny

by exercising our goodness. We don’t need a Savior to die for our sins. There is psychic power in the universe that we can learn to manipulate in order to make it do what we want it to do. These teachers also include animistic ideas of spirits and power in their teachings. There is, however, nothing really new about the New Age. It is as old as biblical history, “Let no one be found among you who sacrifices their son or daughter in the fire, who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, or casts spells, or who is a medium or spiritist or who consults the dead. Anyone who does these things is detestable to the Lord; because of these same detestable practices

16

REJOICE ESSENTIAL MAGAZINE MAY 2016

the Lord your God will drive out those nations before you.” (Deuteronomy 18: 10 – 12) It’s proponents have just changed the terms from medium to channeled and from demons to spirit guides. A variation on this theme is a god who is not the world itself, but isn’t really a person either. It is an impersonal world soul. This god is like a milky way, and people on Earth are like stars on that galaxy. The ideal is to join your star to that galaxy so that it can never be an individual star again. Millions believe that they are just some insignificant part of some cosmic unity that lacks any meaningful purpose. Some add to their belief system all kinds of other gods that are personal but who share all the worst qualities of fallen human beings, like the gods in the Greek and Roman cultures of biblical times. We call this polytheism. These pantheons of gods might have one high god above the others, but the role of the God of the Bible as Creator, Sustainer and Savior has been lost. Some come closer to the truth by seeing their god as the creator of the world, but he is very far away and virtually impossible to reach. Others believe that he is a very powerful but also a very arbitrary kind of god, quite unapproachable by mere humans. Relating to him is reduced to recitation of a creed, and endless repetition of memorized prayers, and certain prescribed activities. This, however, does not meet a person’s need for a relationship with God, so they also add all kinds of magic

and sorcery to their religious life. We have already seen that such things are Satan’s way of bringing people under his influence and ultimate control. These are the results of our human cultural perspective of a depersonalized Christian God. You may be saying, “Thank God, we are not like that. We Bible— believing Christians know who God really is, “ The problem is, as we have noted already, we may know truth intellectually, but that does not guarantee that we practice it in everyday life, dynamically clashing with revealed biblical truth, “May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. The one who calls you is faithful, and He will do it.” (1 Thessalonians 5: 23 – 24) “Now may the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, equip you with everything good for doing his will, and may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.” (Hebrews 13: 20 – 21). Unbelief represents a close door that keep us outside of God’s transformational and empowering mirror of obedience called grace. We may, in fact become practical atheists. We can know all about God yet not know Him at all. We can profess to know God but live as though He doesn’t exist revealing this way how counterproductive this rationale way of

thinking is, “Has not my hand made all these things, and so they came into being?” declares the Lord. “These are the ones I look on with favor: those who are humble and contrite in spirit, and who tremble at my word.” (Isaiah 66: 2) “I call on the Lord in my distress, and he answers me.” (Psalm 120: 1), “May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer.” (Psalm 19: 14) for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose. “Do everything without grumbling or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, “children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation.” Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky as you hold firmly to the word of life. And then I will be able to boast on the day of Christ that I did not run or labor in vain.” (Philippians 2: 13 – 16)

EVE WAS FRAMED Reynaldo Rodriguez

What is usually called counseling is often discipleship— learning the truth about God and the truth about our relationship to Him. If young Christians were properly disciple, many of the problem that later take them to professional counselors would not develop. Living free in Christ begins with a commitment to truth—the truth about God and the truth about what God say concerning us. True, but that is just the point. Paul tells us, “So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.“ (2 Corinthians 4: 18). What is the controlling factor—the temporary or the eternal? Our culture has affected us to a greater ex-

tent than we would like to believe. It has conditioned us to regulate our lives more on the basis of which other people are present than on which spirits are present, and to think more in terms of “common sense” or reason than in terms of biblical revealed truth. The test is what we really believe is our actions, not what we say we believe. We all know better than we do, but in the area of spiritual activity, the gap is often much larger than we like to recognize. Our worldly culture has squeezed us into its mold, and God called us to act upon the truth of spiritual filibuster against our own mental stronghold way of thinking “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.

Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” (Romans 12: 2) We began by asking the question, who are we, really? We haven’t fully answered that question, but we can say that Satan wants to give us all the wrong answers to the question and that God is the source of truth in seeking the right answer. We must always begin by speaking the truth about our sin, but we need to go on from there to speak the truth about who we are as God’s redeemed children. In order to speak the truth about anything, including what it means to be God’s child, we need to be sure that we are seeking to relate to God for who He really is. Which God do we serve?

The battle for the mind begins with a true belief in God. How we perceive Him will determine how we perceive almost everything else in life and how we relate to life itself. Satan knows this, and that is why he almost always begins his attacks on us by trying to give us a twisted view of God. This is critically important, because while we may not practice what we profess, we will always practice what we really believe. For this reason, we need to examine our basic belief system, and this belief system always begins with how we view God. We have already noted how the serpent tempted Eve in the Garden of Eden. Let’s go back to that scene and make some further observations about that encounter. The serpent (Satan) first deceived Eve into questioning whether God and His word could be trusted. He said, “Has God said that you will die if you eat of that tree? That’s not true. You won’t die. You will become like God himself, knowing good and evil. You won’t have to take your orders from Him because your judgment is as good or even better than His. You will be better off if you do what you think is right than you do what He says. You see, God just cannot be trusted completely specially when His judgment is biased in His Biblical commands” (Genesis 3: 1, 4 – 5, emphasis and paraphrase added) There was also the implication that God did not really love them, or He wouldn’t have withheld this wonderful fruit from them. The Scriptures tell us that the fruit was good for food and

pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom” (Genesis 3: 6). How could God really love them and withhold this wonderful “Blessing” from them? It is clear that Satan was seeking to undermine the character of God, and once Adam and Eve began to doubt God’s trustworthiness and His love, it was not difficult for the serpent to lead them to break the one negative command God had given them. The irony of all this it is like a child standing beside an overflowing toy box, saying, “I don’t have anything to do. You won’t let me play with the matches.” Why do children so often seem to focus on the one thing they know they shouldn’t have? Even for adults, the forbidden fruit seems to be the most desirable. God had told Adam and Eve that they could eat from all of the other trees in the Garden. It wasn’t like they didn’t have to do to remain in perfect fellowship with their Creator was to obey one command. They couldn’t had it much easier. Yet, when they doubted whether God could be trusted, they now had to make all of their own decisions. If God couldn’t be trusted in one thing, He couldn’t be trusted in any. If their judgment was better than God’s in this matter. That kind of responsibility was overwhelming. Satan is a clever deceiver—an experienced con man. What appeared on the surface to be only a matter of eating or not eating fruit from one tree had much more far reaching consequences than they ever dreamed. Before this

they had an open, trusting relationship with God. Now they found themselves hiding from Him for reasons they didn’t even understand or wanted to face. They had lost the security of that relationship with Him. Now they had lost their trusting relationship with Him, and they were about to lose the whole Garden for the adamant attitude of doing business as usual disobeying. Before they fell for Satan’s lies, their human need for significance had been met by their relationship with their Creator. Now they had lost that relationship, and with it their significance as His children. Sin always has consequences that Satan never suggests when he dangles the forbidden fruit in front of us. Even after the sin has been confessed and forgiven, the consequences are still present. It is foolish to think that if er play with fire we will not going to get burn. The angry words can never be taken back. The physical or emotional injury caused to another person can never be undone. The life that was destroyed can never be restored. And it all begins when we see God as something or someone other than who He really is.

You cannot be right with God and not be real. If necessary, God may have you real in order to be right with Him. As the deceiver, Satan encourages mask wearing. He is the master of camouflage. He wears his own mask most of the time, Satan is expert at appearing as an “angel of light” or minister of righteousness. “For such people are false apostles, deceitful workers, masquerading as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. It is not surprising, then, if his servants also masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve.” (2 Corinthians 11: 13 – 15) And he encourages this be-

havior in those he is trying to influence. His purposes for us are served well by Christians who make a loud profession with the mask they wear while saying something quite different with the un-Christian way they handle some areas of their lives. The technical term for this behavior is hypocrisy, and we all know what Jesus has to say about this from one of his encounters with the teachers of the law and Pharisees, “Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You shut the door of the kingdom of heaven in people’s faces. You yourselves do not enter, nor will you let those enter who are trying to. “Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You travel over land and sea to win a

single convert, and when you have succeeded, you make them twice as much a child of hell as you are. (Abylene, Texas)“Woe to you, blind guides! You say, ‘If anyone swears by the temple, it means nothing; but anyone who swears by the gold of the temple is bound by that oath.’ You blind fools! Which is greater: the gold, or the temple that makes the gold sacred? You also say, ‘If anyone swears by the altar, it means nothing; but anyone who swears by the gift on the altar is bound by that oath.’ You blind men! Which is greater: the gift, or the altar that makes the gift sacred? Therefore, anyone who swears by the altar swears by it and by everything on it. And anyone who swears by the temple swears by it and by the one who dwells in

it.” (Matthew 23: 13 – 21) The Christian alternative to hypocrisy or camouflage make up is sincerity. God’s relationship to the Christian believer is real. If what God says about us is to be the basis of our belief and attitude towards ourselves, we need to be sure that we know what God says. We can be sure that Satan does not want us to know and believe the truth, because he knows that our ability to live to the glory of God depends on our appropriation of God’s gracious and good work in making and redeeming us. Sincerity, on the other hand, in the original language means “without wax,” without a mask or a camouflage make up. Sincere persons are just who they are. What you see is what you get. They are honest to the point of transparency, rather than seeking to hide the truth or even to deny what they know to be true. They have come to know the truth in the inner parts. Which, according to David, is what God desires, “Yet you desired faithfulness even in the womb; you taught me wisdom in that secret place.” (Psalm 51: 6) David had to learn this lesson the hard way. Psalm 32 is a commentary on David’s experience with sin. When he tried to cover up his sin, it even affected his physical body (v.3). When he confessed, however—that is, when he said about his sin what God said about it—then he found forgiveness (v. 5) and could sing “songs of deliverance” (v. 7). Sometimes our dishonesty is not an act of sin on our part, but a facet of our handling of abuse we have suffered. In this case we need to acknowledge that the abuse we have

suffered does not mean that we are bad but that the abuse was wrong. Some people try to deal with their hurt by denying that it hurts. God can begin the healing process only when the hurt is acknowledged and the offender is forgiven. “Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.” (Matthew 5: 8). In being honest we often need to share our hurts and our sin with others who are spiritual loving Christians and will not judge us but rather will help us, correct us in order to be restore to the gracious and loving arms of Jesus Christ. In the case of the woman who was caught in the act of adultery, Jesus acted in a particular manner” Jesus straightened up and asked her, “Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?” “No one, sir,” she said. “Then neither do I condemn you,” Jesus declared. “Go now and leave your life of sin.” (John 8: 10 – 12)” For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear.” (2 Timothy 4: 3) “Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.”(1 Peter 4: 8), “The law was brought in so that the trespass might increase. But where sin increased, grace increased all the more,” (Romans 5: 20). God put us in the Body of Christ so that the body could provide its strength to us to help in the healing process, just as the healthy part of the body. The church was intended by God to be a place where it is safe to be honest—a place where you can go to find help with the things that are really troubling you. It is not unusual to hear people say, “There is

no one to whom I can talk.” What they mean is that there is no one they can trust to handle the truth about them with love and with the hope of finding resolution to their problem. What is more surprising is to hear someone who has been in counseling—even Christian counseling say, “I have never told this to anyone before, but…” People can manipulate counselors by what they don’t tell them, and they probably do not tell them everything because they are still not sure that the person trying to help them really cares or can help them find resolution for their problems. The adage is, “People don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care,” and mature Christians ought to be the ones who help others know how much God cares by the care we show to them. What is usually call counseling is often discipleship—learning the truth about God and the truth about our relationship to Him. If young Christians were properly disciple, many of the problem that later take them to professional counselors would not develop. Living free in Christ begins with a commitment to truth—the truth about God and the truth about what God say concerning us.

SKELETAL SYSTEM

The bones of the skeleton provide insertion points for muscles and a place to exert forces against, leading to limb movement. Bones of the human body fall into four general categories: long bones, short bones, flatbones, and irregular bones.

• Skeleton: The bones of the skeleton provide insertion points for muscles and a place to exert forces against, leading to limb movement. • Types of Bones: Bones fall into 4 major categories: long, short, flat and irregular. • Endoskeleton: is an internal structure that provides support and protection. • Exoskeleton: is an external protection offered by such things as a shell. • Long Bones: longer than they are wide, act as levers.

Examples in the upper extremity include the humerus, radius and ulna.

vertebra, which protects the spinal cord.

• Short Bones: short cubedshaped bones, found in the wrist and ankle. In the wrist there are 8 total in two rows. They articulate with each other, as well as provide attachment points for ligaments.

• Bone Matrix: Bone matrix is made up of Osteons, which are long narrow cylinders containing both Haversian and Volkmann canals.

• Flat Bones: have broad surfaces for the protection of organs and attachment of muscles. In the skull, there are 8 bones that protect the brain and brain-stem.. • Irregular Bones: have a unique shape and provide both protection and multiple attachment points for muscles. Examples include the

SINNER’S PRAYER

Jesus was crucified on the cross just for you! He suffered so much for your healing, sorrows, and sins. He went around doing every good work, healing people and casting out demons. He took thirty nine lashes. He wore a crown of thorns and his beard was plucked out! He was spat on, falsely accused, and beaten. Will you let him in your heart today? Take a few seconds and pray this short prayer. Your life will never be the same. Lord, I believe that you died on the cross for my sins. Romans 10:9 says, “Because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. “I make you Lord and Savior of my life. Lord, I desire to have a relationship with you. Lord, I confess any sins of ___________. I repent Lord. Wash me in your blood in Jesus name Amen. Congratulations! If you read the above prayer, welcome to the body of Christ. The angels in heaven are rejoicing. Get connected to a local bible based church and get with someone who will hold you accountable. Your next step is to get baptized and filled with the Holy Ghost. Acts 2:38 King James Version (KJV): Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

PROPHETIC ENCOURAGEMENT

These are the words giving to Prophetess Kimberly Hargraves by the Holy Spirit during her prayer time. These are the notes from Periscope.

6 Questions About Faith 1) What is Faith? Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. • Faith means ·being sure [the assurance; or the tangible reality; or the sure foundation] of the things we hope for and ·knowing that something is real even if we do not see it [the conviction/assurance/evidence about things not seen]. 2) What should we have faith in? Mark 11:22 And Jesus an-

swering saith unto them, Have faith in God. 1 Corinthians 2:5 That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God. • This was so that your faith would be in God’s power and not in human wisdom. 3) Why use faith? (Faith is the currency for everything in the kingdom) (Faith walk) (Faith in God or die) 2 Corinthians 5:7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight:)Spiritual gifts 4) How do we get faith? • Romans 10:17 So then

faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. • Jude 1:20 But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, 5) Results of faith? • Salvation: Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. Ephesians 2:8-9 ·I mean that [or For; Because] you have been saved by grace through ·believing [faith]. You did not save yourselves; it was a gift from God. It was not the result of ·your own efforts [works],

REJOICE ESSENTIAL MAGAZINE MAY 2016

so ·you cannot [no one can] ·brag about it [boast]. • Move Mountains: Mark 11:22-24 And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. • Please God: Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. • Answer Prayers: Matthew 21:22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive. 6) How to activate faith? James 2:14 (Faith Without Works Is Dead) What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can that faith save him? We must continue to Follow God: (Numbers 14 and Psalm 95 and Hebrews 3): 5 things to keep you on track and the consequences of not staying on track Why? • You will not enter your promise land. Hebrews 3:19 says, “So we see that they were unable to enter because of unbelief.” Will not have God’s best for your life. • You will not have rest. Hebrews 3:18 says, “And to whom did he swear that they would not enter his rest, but to

those who were disobedient?” 1) Listen. Hebrews 3:7 says, “Therefore, as the Holy Spirit says, “Today, if you hear his voice.” God is always speaking, you just need to be in position to perceive it.  What is God telling you? Hebrews 3:16 says, “For who were those who heard and yet rebelled? Was it not all those who left Egypt led by Moses?” So when we don’t listen to God we end up operating in rebellion (witchcraft). 2) Don’t be stubborn. Hebrews 3:8 says, “Do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion, on the day of testing in the wilderness.” It will lead to rebellion, indication of hard heart. Hebrews 3:15 says, “As it is said, “Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion.” 3) We need to be loyal. Hebrews 3:10 says, “Therefore I was provoked with that generation, and said, ‘They always go astray in their heart; they have not known my ways.’ no unbelieving heart. 4) Encourage each other. We need each other in the body of Christ. Encourage each other daily instead of burdened each other down. Hebrews 3:13 says, “But exhort one another every day, as long as it is called “today,” that none of you may be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin.”so none of you will become hardened by sin. 5) Keep sure faith. - Hebrews 3:14 says, “[L For] We all ·share in [or have become partners with] Christ if [indeed; in fact] we ·keep [hold firm] till the end the sure ·faith [conviction; confidence] we had in the beginning. Partners with Christ/ partakers of Christ.

5 things that happen when you try to fit in: 1) Lose your witness (Romans 12:2) Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will. 2) Compromise (1 Corinthians 15:33) Do not be deceived: “Bad company corrupts good character.” 3) Loving the world (1 John 2:15) Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 4) Enemy to God (James 4:4) Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God. 5) Carnal (2 Corinthians 6:14) Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

I felt the glory of God all that day. I felt so good and I am so glad that I called the prayer line. Rachel I sowed a $20 seed into Kimberly Hargraves ministries. One week passed, when I got an email from the Department of Education saying they received a payment of $930. I didn’t make a payment because I don’t have that type of money. I called the Department of Education and asked who made the

payment and they replied that I did. Me and the lady went back and forth on the phone arguing whether or not I made the payment. I finally accepted that God made the payment for me. I remember, Prophetess Kimberly Hargraves giving me a word one week prior. She said as she prayed for me, she heard that I was about to get a debt elimination. I am so thankful that God heard my prayers. I purchased, “Obedience Is Key” written by Kimberly Hargraves. I couldn’t put the book down. It was like I couldn’t put the book down. It was like I could see her tears on every page. This book is really blessing my life. I was fasting when I got this book and in the middle of reading it, God spoke to me and told me to fast longer. So God allowed me to minister to my mom and showed me things, I knew absolutely nothing about. I started to prophesy after reading this book. Tomeya This morning as I watching Prophetess Kimberly Hargraves on periscope, I felt a release as she started praying. I felt a release as she started praying. I felt so good afterwards and started to get dressed and head to church. I thank God for her life and her ministry. She is such an inspiration to many women. -Tonya I sowed a $20 seed into Kimberly Hargraves ministries. I had been trying to get the rest of the $600 to get my truck fixed. I had been praying about it and I went to DSS and they are going to pay $600 to my truck repairs. To God be the glory.-April
