When the Bible describes sexual intimacy between a husband and wife, it uses the terminology, to know, go into, and lay with. The word sex is not in the original text of the Bible. It is translated in Hebrew yada, meaning to know. In Chapter 3, when Adam and

Eve sinned by disobeying God’s command not to eat the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, it brought about the fall of man, which was eternal spiritual separation from God. As a result, Adam and Eve were forced to leave the garden of Eden. “So He drove out the man; and He placed cherubim at the east of the garden of Eden, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to guard the way to the tree of life.” — Genesis 3:24. Inherently, we are living in the falling state of man since the disobedience of Adam and Eve. Even though the creation failed to revere the creator’s command, God in His love and mercy had a plan B course of action to redeem man. He sent His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, that whom so ever shall believe on Him shall not perish but have everlasting life (John 3:16). Our Lord Jesus lowered Himself to become a sacrifice for our sins.

“But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”— Romans 5:8. One of the sins that He has redeemed us from is that of sexual sin. It manifests in many forms. For singles, the temptation to fornicate, which is to have sex outside the covenant of marriage, is the greatest struggle. Our society no longer holds any standards when it comes to sexual sin. There is little to no reverence when it comes to the Word of God. This is why every born again believer who confesses Christ as Lord and Savior must always pray and asks the Holy Spirit to help you. He is the Spirit of the one true living God and His assignment is to comfort, guide, and help. “And I will pray to the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever.” — John 14:26. Our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit. He lives on the inside of us. That is why in Romans 12:1, we are told to present our bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable unto God. In my walk of living sexually

pure for many years, I can testify that God will keep you if you allow Him to. I have learned to lean not to my own understanding but acknowledge Him in all my ways. As a result, God is directing my paths. Clarity and pursuit of purpose are the two main attributes that a single person who is living sexually pure will gain. Although many singles may have succumbed to the pressures of the world and have fallen away, some are holding on to God’s unchanging hands. I have crossed paths with many women and heard stories of men who have taken a stand against sexual sin. The end result is the blessings of financial increase, joy, peace, a higher level of spiritual intimacy with God, and marriage. It is never too late to start afresh and yes, God will forgive you if you have fallen away. “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us of all unrighteousness.”— 1 John 1:9. Make today the day that you will take a stand for purity from sexual sin and be counted among the remnant who dare to remain common in an uncommon world.

DR. CANDICE SMITHYMAN INTERVIEWED BY KIMBERLY MOSES

Interviewer: So how was your salvation journey? Dr. Candice Smithyman: You know I loved the Lord when I was a child and I received Jesus when I was very young. I even served in the church. I was actually a part of the Episcopal Church when I was younger and I served as an Acolyte. I carried the cross and I would do communion with the Priests there on Sunday services. They would always have a young person come and join them. So I was a part of the altar team. I lost my father when I was nine years old and it just tore me up. At that time, I began to pull away from my relationship with the Lord. I had a lot of bad theology given to me. People were telling me, “Hey, your father was a good man and the Lord needed him,” and I was like, “But I needed him!” I became angry with the Lord. I became a very rebellious teenager. It was like I wore two

masks. One was a straight ‘A’ student, cheerleader look, and then the other side of me was smoking pot on the street corner, getting drunk, and doing all kinds of wrong things that a teenager would do. I had two different lives that I led: one was a performing face and the other one was my broken self, but nobody really knew about it. I went to college, and I was not living for the Lord. I went to Hawaii for my first job because I graduated with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration and Accounting. I got my first job with KPMG Peat Marwick. It was a big accounting firm at that time and they gave me a bonus. They said go and get some clothes because you are going to be starting your new job. I took the money and I flew to Hawaii.

It was like I knew that he was the man that I was going to marry, and I hadn’t even started my brand new job yet. You know, it was like I heard the Lord say, “This is the man that you are going to marry,” and I was like, “Oh my goodness!” and here I wasn’t even walking with the Lord. One day, I flew back to Virginia, which is where I grew up, and he gave me a plane ticket and asked that I come back to see him. I did and I knew that we were going to get married. It was shortly thereafter that he proposed to me. We got married and we were living in Hawaii.

When I arrived in Hawaii, I met my husband the third day that I was there. He was Infantry in the Navy and they had just got back from the Philippines. He was

anxiety, fear, and worry that had overwhelmed me. I went to the doctors and asked what I could do about it. My friend even looked at me and said, “You don’t look good. What’s up?” They were like, “Do you know Jesus?” and God was sending people to try and witness

to me. I said, “Yeah! I know Jesus but He can’t help me with this!” They were like, “Then you must not know Him,” and I said, “Listen, He is only concerned with big things like wars and stuff happening in the earth. He doesn’t care about me!” And they said, “You know what?

You do not know Him.” And I said like, “I don’t know Him!” In the same week, I got a call from my husband. He said, “The man in my squadron has died and I am shipping his body back to Hawaii. I need to go to the funeral.” I said that I haven’t been to a funeral since my

father passed. There is no way that I am going to this guy’s funeral. He told me I had to go to this funeral because I was an officer’s wife and I needed to go out of respect for that family and honor them, which was respectful to him and me. I succumbed and decided to

go. The night before the funeral, I was sitting in my roachinfested apartment because what the military provides for you is like World War II housing. It was a really little apartment 6,000 miles away from home on an island. I

was eating a gallon of ice cream, watching my little black and white TV with the two little rabbit ears. I thought, “Oh my gosh! This is terrible.” I started to pray: this was just the faith of a mustard seed prayer. It was not much behind it, but I said, “Lord, if You are

there and You can hear me, I can’t get myself out of this one?” and I fell asleep on the bed with the lights on. Now my prayer was not that I couldn’t get myself out of going to the funeral, but I couldn’t get myself out of my skin. I was so depressed and I was so upset that I was so out of control with my emotions. I was not in a good emotional state. I didn’t even know how to get my life back, so my prayer was more for my life than it was about the funeral. I went to sleep. I woke up the next morning looking for my pain. I got up and I had all of this joy. I was touching myself and I started laughing. I said, “Oh my God!! I am no longer sad. Oh my God! I feel like myself.” And I said, “Oh my God! I must have been healed!!” I got dressed and I went to the funeral. My friends were trying to witness to me. They were like,

“Oh my God! What happened to you because you look so different!” and I was like, “Listen! That Jesus!! You know I prayed, and He must have heard me because I feel amazing!” They said, “We know because we can see the joy in you. Do you want to come to our Bible study tonight?” and I was like, “Sure, I will come.” They said, “Okay, it is on Base.” I went to the Bible study and there were about 20 people there, including the chaplain and the Pastor. He said that we were going to go to some Scriptures and he wanted us to share what they mean. Well, he started going through the scriptures, and then he asked, “Okay, so what do you think that this means?” No one raised their hand. I had read the Scripture and I said, “Oh my God, I know what it means, but I can’t raise my hand because it is my first time here.” No one was responding and I said, “I know what it means.” Everyone wanted to know how I knew what it meant. The Pastor asked, “What do you think?” so I went ahead and shared and he was like, “That is exactly what that means.” He then gave me another Scripture and I did the same thing again. I told him what I think it meant. Immediately I could read and understand the Word of

God. Interviewer: Jesus, that is powerful! Dr. Candice Smithyman: Oh my gosh, that started me on my journey. I came back to the Lord at the age of 24 and from that point forward, I have been sold out to Him, on fire for Him, and just stepping into all the things that He has for me. I had a supernatural touch from God and I experienced supernatural healing. It came directly from heaven and nobody touched me or anything. My prayer was so without power. It was just a prayer of desperation. I just want to encourage people no matter where you are, the Holy Spirit can touch you in a moment without anybody laying hands on you. All you have to do is pray authentically from your heart with whatever words you can muster up and God will be there for you. Interviewer: Amen! I feel the presence of God as you were talking. Woman of God, I can relate to your testimony about being mad at God, rebelling, being angry, and hurt. How was your transition to Pastoring? Dr. Candice Smithyman: That was quite a transition to postering with another supernatural encounter with

God. My husband came to know the Lord a few years after me, and of course, he grew up Methodist, but he didn’t commit to God either in our early years of marriage. He had seen me during his deployment to Japan and I flew out after I had my supernatural encounter and he was like, “Oh my God! What happened to you?” and I was like, “Listen, I met

Jesus and I want you to know that my life has been changed.” He said, “I don’t know about this Jesus thing. I used to go to Bible study and stuff, but it is not really for me right now.” I said, “Hey, listen, don’t worry about it, honey. I am going to love you and do what He tells me to do. I need to be with Jesus, but you can do whatever you want. Nothing

is going to change.” I didn’t beat the Bible over his head. I just met him where he was and whatever he was going through. Then one day, he was over the Indian Ocean and he had been reading the Left Behind series. He landed, and he said to me, “Oh my God! I finally realized that I need Jesus.” I was like, “I know.” He said, “I need Him, and this is not about

you anymore. It is about me and my relationship with God.” And then he said that “I have received Jesus.” I was so happy, and I cried on the phone. I said, “Oh my God! This is so awesome!” So, then we both started a journey of learning. Being a Navy family, we had moved all over. One of the places that we moved to was South Texas and when we were down there, we started to have some really amazing encounters with the Lord. That is where God confirmed that we needed to start pastoring churches. A Pastor there really spoke into my husband’s life and told him that we would be teaching some college classes at the church, speak

to the congregation, and different things that God will have us do. I was on a radio and television ministry. God just really used us powerfully. Also, the Pastor in my husband’s life spoke to him that he had a Pastor’s heart and he was like, “I do? What does that mean?” So, the Pastor began to share with him and speak life into him. Well, my husband had started saying, “I think that we need to start a church,” and I said, “I think that we need to go through our proper training first and get our proper degrees and everything. After that, we can consider pastoring a church together.” Well, I already had my Master’s in Counseling from Liberty University and he said that he wanted to go to school. We decided to go back to school to get our Doctorate degrees and start on that journey. I told my husband, “Listen, I don’t want to pastor with you. I am a conference speaker and a Bible teacher. I got my radio and television show. I am happy with this.” He would ask me frequently, “Hey, do you want to Pastor with me?” I didn’t want to pastor because I had my own religious thoughts about pastoring. There were things that I had to get over. A conference speaker, a

Bible teacher, a radio host, or a radio minister, those things seemed to be acceptable, but to be a Pastor of a church and being female, it didn’t seem that it would be the right thing. I knew many women were doing it. Also, I am more of an Evangelist, so I like to travel a lot to speak in many different areas. I didn’t think that I would give the congregation what they needed in my mind. I was like, “I don’t know how I can be anyone’s Pastor,” even though I was a counselor. Now I loved people and I wanted to counsel them, but my husband was like, “No, I really want to Pastor.” So, I said, “Okay, great! We will just pray about it and we will just see if God wants us to do it.” Well, he went away again on a jet. He was gone again for a short while and I had another amazing encounter with God. I was praying, fasting, and went into worship time with the Lord. While I was there, I got caught up in heaven. I left my body and Jesus was there. I saw a side of His face and lots of colors. But this is the biggest thing about it, it wasn’t as much of what I saw, but it was what I experienced in the realm of having no consciousness of myself. As we live our life on the earth, we are so self-conscious

and focused on what we are saying and what we are doing. That is part of the fall of man. It is part of our fall in humanity from Adam and Eve. Once they ate the forbidden fruit, we became a self-conscious and selfish generation. When I went to this place with the Lord, I had no consciousness of myself, only Him. Interviewer: WOW! Dr. Candice Smithyman: It was so beautiful. I had to let go of every inhibition and everything that made me tick. Healing, insecurity, weakness, sin, anything that was pre-dissolved, it was gone away. I actually experienced who I was created to be and even more so who He is. It was all about Him. I was with Him in this palace and I asked Him, “Not to go back? I said that I didn’t want to go back and He said, “You have to go back!” I asked, “But why?” Mind you and I was married with three beautiful children under the age of seven years old. I mean I would be considered absolutely crazy. “What do you mean that you don’t want to go back? You have three beautiful children and a good marriage. What do you mean that you don’t want to go back?” But the Lord said, “You have to go back because I need you to share what you have just

Interviewer: WOW! Dr. Candice Smithyman: I was like, “Get up!” because I am hearing my kids come home from school. I said to myself, “Oh my gosh! I hear my kids coming home from school.” I got up and tried to get myself together. My oldest daughter met me in the hallway and was like, “Mom,

what happened to you?” I told her, “I cannot talk about it.” She said, “Something has happened with God,” and I was like, “No, no. Just get yourself ready. We are going to go to church tonight.” It was Wednesday night, which is Youth Night. I got dinner made for them and we went to our church services. When we got there, I didn’t want to talk to anybody. I had on my jean jacket with no makeup and I looked like a hot mess. I was there just to drop off the kids, but I couldn’t talk because I couldn’t comprehend what had happened to me. I couldn’t put it into words what had happened because it was such an amazing experience that I didn’t even know what to say. And who would believe me anyway? My daughter goes and tells the Pastor of the church, “Something has happened to my mother and you need to go and talk to her. I believe it’s something that happened with God.” He comes over to me and says, “Alex seems to think that something has happened to you. Would you like to share it with me?” I was like, “No, no, no,” but he said, “Why don’t you tell me a little about it?” So I started telling him and he says, “I want you to come in front of the church and tell them what

happened to you.” I replied, “I can’t even talk. I am going to sit in the back of the church tonight. Someone is supposed to preach.” He wouldn’t take no for an answer and said, “No, I really feel like you need to talk about it and tell people.” So I came to the front when he called me up and I began to start sharing what happened. The whole place

broke out in tears. People started crying and the glory of the Lord filled the house. Interviewer: Jesus! Dr. Candice Smithyman: God came and deposited Himself. I was like, “Oh my God! What happened?” I went home that night and I still was not eating. The next day goes by and all of a

sudden, the Lord asked me, ”Will you feed my sheep?” He asked it three times. “Will you feed my sheep?” I am like, “Oh my gosh, where have I heard this before?” and I was like, “Oh, wow! This is when you are receiving a calling from the Lord. Oh my gosh! He wants me to pastor. He wants me to feed His sheep.” Then I was like, “Okay. Alright, I will do

it! That was my response to the Lord: I will do it!! But I said, “Lord, I just want you to know that this isn’t fair because you took me to heaven, and then you asked me to say no to you. There is no way that anybody can say no to You after You have taken them to heaven.” And really, that is the truth Kimberly because when Moses would go up on the mountain, he would see the glory of the Lord, the burning bush, and these kinds of things. When God asked him to do something, he had to respond, “Yes.” When you come into the power and the presence of the Lord, the only thing that you can say is, “Yes!” Your life has been changed at that point, so you surrender. I had to surrender to Him. My husband came home the next day and he says, “My God, what has happened to you?” I look different every time I have these encounters and I said, “Well, the Lord has asked me to Pastor with you.” He was like, “What??!!” I told him, “Yes, I am going to.” He was excited and said, “Oh my God! You must have gone to heaven.” (Laughs) Interviewer: Amen. I love it. Dr. Candice Smithyman: But that was my second really big encounter with the Lord. As for Pastoring, that is what caused me to make my

commitment. I knew that was the call of God in my life. I had heard from Him and my husband was ecstatic about it. So then began our journey. We finished our schooling and then we planted our first church in Chicago. Then another supernatural encounter took us to Florida. We have been down there now Pastoring. We gave our other church in Chicago to our Associate Pastor and then merged it with a larger church. Now we have a beautiful church, a beautiful congregation, lovely people, and an amazing ministry down here in Florida. Interviewer: Amen. That is so powerful woman of

Well, my husband had started saying, “I think that we need to start a church,” and I said, “I think that we need to go through our proper training first and get our proper degrees and everything. After that, we can consider pastoring a church together.”

God. Did these encounters inspire your new book, or your newest book, ReleasingHeaven? Dr. Candice Smithyman: Yes. Releasing Heaven is quite a few stories from my encounters of being caught up in heaven. I talk about the different supernatural encounters that I have had and it talks about the strategy of how to release heaven into your atmosphere. How do you need to think? What you need to be doing? How to have faith for healing and miracles. When I wrote the book, I prayed throughout the whole thing that people would receive an impartation when they read the book. I prayed that when they pick it up and begin to start reading it and studying it, it has so much Scripture in it, that they would really begin to see for themselves and experience supernatural encounters. Many people all over the world have already read this book. They reach out to me daily, telling me how their life has been supernaturally changed as a result and that they have received an impartation from the book. This is all just prayers that went up. I wanted God to take that book and He gives it that way. It has become a reference manual. It has become a book that really helps people tap into the supernatural

realm and learn to change their environment by changing their thinking and believing that they can release heaven in their atmosphere. Interviewer: Amen! I haven’t read your book yet but I am going to get it. have a book club and I like to read different books by different ministers. That sounds like a right now book for this season with the pandemic. We need to be releasing heaven in our atmospheres, not be fearful, and trust God for provision every day. That really sounds like a much-needed book for this season. Dr. Candice Smithyman: Amen! Interviewer: You talked about God’s timing versus our timing. You taught about the different months on the Hebrew calendar. I was in awe. I said, “Wow! She is very knowledgeable about this.” What is the difference between our timing and God’s timing? Dr. Candice Smithyman: Yes, this is such a good question. Well, you see, our God works off of the Hebrew Calendar and Christians work off the Gregorian Calendar, but Christians should be working off the Hebrew Calendar. Why is this? It is because God

originally designed the Hebrew Calendar to bring about the Feast that was representative of His Son Jesus Christ to be the Messiah. That never changed for God, and the Hebrew Calendar has power associated with it. We live off the Gregorian Calendar today because Constantine in 420 AD, saw how powerful the Christians were. He wanted to remove their power. He said if they shift the calendar, they won’t know when the day is for their Feast. That will mess things up for them and they won’t have the power that they need. Then, of course, he changed the Passover time to Easter, which is the worship of the Pagan god and goddess. He made Christmas up to be December 25th. He added all these different things and it throws the Christians off when they don’t understand the Hebrew Calendar. For many years God has been bringing the revelation to Prophets about the power of the Hebrew Calendar. If the Church of Jesus Christ would get back into the understanding when the Feasts are, they would be able to come and join God on His timetable. They would be able to bless the Lord with offerings and honor Him. They would be able to come to His party at His appointed time to

give to Him and receive the blessings that come as being a part of the members that attend His party. But if we don’t know when the party is, then we don’t know how to come to the party! So it is really getting Christians now to take a look at our Hebrew Calendar. We are in the Judeo Christian phase, so it is not only about the New Testament, but it is also about the Old Testament. It was written to tell us of the New Testament, where the New Covenant of Grace has been fulfilled through Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Without the old and the understanding of the sacrificial systems of the old, you

donâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;t understand the power that came when Jesus Christ died and resurrected and how He fulfilled the entire Laws that are written in the Old Testament. God has been teaching me this for about 15 years. I have been studying them each year prophetically and God has been telling me what is happening each

and every month in the universe. Then I will go to the calendar. He will show me how historically these things happened on the calendar as you watch the Hebrew Calendar kind of unfold, what is the teaching for those months, and what is His emphasis on for those months. That is how He walked me into the knowledge and understand-

ing of it. Prophetically, He would be giving me a word in season and then I will go and study the calendar and I will be like, â&#x20AC;&#x153;Wow! That is a word for what He has been saying for centuries.â&#x20AC;? It is a prophetic word. The word comes alive and He always puts a little bit of a different emphasis on it each time. Every month has a little bit of a different twist because

there are many different things each month that are important. He will highlight certain things in certain years. For instance, this particular year in the month of Av, which is the 11th month on the civil calendar and the one between the end of July and the end of August, His emphasis was when the spies were going to the Promised Land and how we really needed to step into our promised land and that we were in a time of promotion at the beginning of August. He will put the emphasis on it and every year those are the stories that are relevant to that time frame. What He will do is put emphasis [on it] so that we as a community of believers can focus a little bit more on certain things because that is what He will be doing in this particular year. I speak every month about the different months and what they mean. The Lord says, “Resist the devil and submit to God. If My people will submit to Me, if they will resist the devil and his schemes, his lies, his manipulations, and if they come into alignment with me and they submit, then I will be able to speak to them and lead and guide them properly in this New Year of 5781.” And so we as the people need to begin to start preparing ourselves to learn how to submit to the Lord. If you haven’t yet learned how to submit to God, you need to learn to lay things at His feet and submit. And let me tell you, it is easy to submit to God when you know that you are seated with Christ in heavenly places. It is just like when God took me up to a heavenly place and then He asked me to Pastor His churches. Well, I had already gone, seen, and got beyond myself. Now, this is what is really, really important, Kimberly. When you get beyond yourself and you get beyond your own consciousness, you can easily submit to the Lord because you know that you are a child with inheritance and you know that your Father is for you and not against you. And you know that He loves you greatly and has a perfect plan and purpose for your destiny. He knows the plans that He has for you and they are beautiful and great and are awesome.

When we position ourselves how God sees us, we can easily submit to Him. We will come into that place of submission. God will release us into the destinies that He has called for each one of us, and the kingdom advancement that He has for our nation and the nations to come. It is because God originally designed the Hebrew Calendar to bring about the Feast that was representative of His Son Jesus Christ to be the Messiah. difficult things like that going on, but that does not change the fact that our God has a great thing coming in 5781. The enemy is going to try and stop that plan. He is going to try to confound the wise. He is going to do all kinds of things to push and come against us, but if we come into a place of submission as His church trusting Him and knowing His greater love

for us above all things and we stay seated in heavenly places, we will ascend to the mountain top and then “Boom!” We are going to be able to press forward a little further, farther, and faster when the enemy is coming against us. The enemy tripped us up because we don’t submit to God. We are saying to resist the devil without even submitting to God. We have to submit to God first. Jesus is known as the Son that submitted and the Son that submitted ended up bringing forth the destiny of the nation as a result of His submission. Interviewer: Amen! That is so good. How do we know when we are hearing the voice of God versus our own thoughts or our flesh? Dr. Candice Smithyman: Okay, the flesh is always geared to the earthly realm. The flesh is always focused on earthly things or things of the soulish realm. It is about smelling, tasting, touching, speaking, and hearing and it comes from a soulish standpoint. If you are trained again in that area, then we find ourselves weak in hearing what God wants to do because we are so consumed with these thoughts and consumed with the soulish aspects. The soulish aspect is what

the mind, the will, and the emotions are doing. Remember, we have been stronghold by Satan in the garden when Adam and Eve ate the apple. When he lied to them and they both believed his lies, and when he came to them and said, “If you eat of this fruit that you will be like God.” He lied to them because they were already like God. After all, they were already in communion with God and already created in His image. They were already like God and he cast doubt in them and caused them to then be bound by him. Once they ate the fruit, he got a hold of their consciousness. Then they entered into sin and they had to cover themselves up. Then the story kind of goes from there. God cast them out of the garden and put an angel with flaming swords to cover the entrance to the garden. Who is the flaming sword? He is Jesus Christ. Yes, Jesus Christ is the flaming sword and by His shed blood, we re-enter the garden. So technically, the Church of Jesus Christ is back in the garden, but we don’t know it because the enemy has a stronghold on us in all of humanity with selfconsciousness and they are focused on how they feel, what they see, and what

they hear. Everything is so bombarded with the earthly realm that we can sense warfare very easily, Kimberly. You can sense when the devil is around, but it is very hard to sense when God is calling us into new places, when His spirit is there, or when He is trying to speak to us. We are more akin to the earthly things, not our death, burial, and resurrec-

tion in Christ, which happened, according to Romans 6, when we receive Jesus as our Lord and Savior. We died with Christ, buried with Him, and resurrected in Him. We are resurrected with Him. This means we have a new seat and position. We are now above the earth realm in the soulish realm. We are now seated with Christ in heavenly

places and we now have our ears tuned to God and what He is saying. But, Kimberly, what makes it so difficult for people is they canâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;t see themselves seated there, so they canâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;t hear from God. What I mean is their thoughts and the voices that they hear, their physicality and their emotions are all crying naturally. They all are crying earthly and all

are crying soulish. Soulish tears, soulish trauma, and soulish movement and you have to take your proper seat and position and begin to listen to God from there. When you come to the Lord and ascend His mountain, you are ascending to a place where you have repented and now gone to heavenly places. God will have dinner with you at His table at the level where you are now His bride and He is going to speak into His bride. We are not a child bride and He is not coming to feed you. He

is coming to have you eat the meal with Him, which means He is there to hear what it is that you have to say and He is there for you to hear what He has to say. There is a level of an intense relationship there and when you have a relationship with Him, you will be able to hear His word. So what we need to be doing is repenting of our soulish ways. These ways have gotten us entrapped by the enemy and the Lord knows the traps of the enemy. He has actually resurrected us away from the enemy. Now we begin to live the resurrected life. There is teaching on the resurrected life and a lot of that is in my book Releasing Heaven. I have a few more books coming out in the next couple of years and I will be teaching on this as well. This resurrected life approach helps us to really begin to grab hold of the fact that we have ascended the mountain of the Lord. In other words, He says, “My sheep know my voice.” My sheep know my voice, which means they are more tuned in to Me. But here’s the problem: when people can’t hear God, it is because they are more tuned into the earth realm and the satanical realm than they are into what God’s voice sounds like and to what it is

He is trying to say to them. Everything that God says is superior, excellent, beautiful, it is fine-tuned, and it is for our good and the good of the kingdom. It is a totally different way of doing things, but we are so tuned to listening to the negative voices. It is hard for us when we actually want to hear from God if we haven’t trained ourselves to live by the word from a positive standpoint. You have to literally train your soul to hear and know the word of God so that you are able to know that God is speaking from that higher place of truth, value, love, peace, joy, justice, and all the things that He is. When He begins to talk to people on the mountaintop, they can easily hear Him because they will say, “Hey. Yeah, that is my Dad.” Interviewer: Hmm! Dr. Candice Smithyman: See, our identity is holding us and our lack of identity is false identity and the things that Satan robbed us of that God has regained for us. Our soul is still stained and it is creating this identity crisis, but when we can get to the place of identity in Him knowing that we have been repositioned and reseated and all of that, we can easily hear from Him. Every other voice will sound foreign to us. It does not sound

right and it does not sound good. It sounds confusing, it sounds manipulated, and it sounds like a lie. So to make a long story short, you got to position yourself to live the resurrected life if you really want to learn how to be tuned in to hearing the voice of God. Interviewer: Amen. That is a

hard time remembering. Dr. Candice Smithyman: When they are coming out of that conscious state, they come slowly. Train yourself to come out of it slowly. Often, people are knocked out of their dream state by an alarm, phone, or something waking them up until they jolt out and they start mov-

ing really quickly. They have totally left behind the night conversation. Get yourself to bed early if you want to be a dreamer and remember your dreams. Get yourself to bed at an hour where you are not going to be waking up exhausted too. You are going to be waking up listening but not waking up exhausted. There is a difference. Wake up so you can be listening and go slow. Slowly get out of bed. Even if your alarm goes off and it is jolting you, don’t jolt. Just begin to talk to the Lord about what you just saw in your dreams. You will say, “Lord, this is what I see and I saw so and so..,” and begin to start articulating it right away. Then get out a pen and piece of paper and start writing it down. You will remember it. Your senses will hold onto it. If you jolt yourself right out of bed and you automatically start getting a shower, you are going to be so far moved from that moment. So go slow and do it purposefully. Begin to talk out loud about what you saw and then get out that pen and start writing. You will be able to remember it. Interviewer: Amen! I will definitely do that because I have a hard time remembering what I dreamed of all the time. I know that you have your show The Glory Road. How often does that come

on? You also have your prophetic alerts. I am not sure how often you send them out, but when someone goes to your website, it says subscribe to get those alerts. How does that work? INGREDIENTS For the grilled chicken 2 medium skinless boneless chicken breasts pounded flat 1 tablespoon olive oil 1 â &#x201E;2 teaspoon dried oregano 1 garlic clove crushed in garlic press salt & pepper to taste For The Salad 2 cup romaine lettuce chopped 1 avocado peeled pitted and chopped 1 cup cucumber chopped 1 cup cherry or grape tomatoes cut in half (can use any other type of tomatoes) 1/2 red onion sliced thinly 1 jar 6.5 ounces marinated artichoke hearts, drained 1/4 cup Feta cheese crumbled or cubed 1/4 cup pitted Kalamata olives For the dressing 1/4 cup olive oil 2 Tablespoons raw apple cider vinegar juice of 1/2 lemon 1 small garlic cloves minced 1/2 teaspoon dijon mustard 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon black pepper INSTRUCTIONS Pound Chicken flat with

a meat tenderizer or slice chicken breasts in half to make them thinner. In medium bowl or ziplock bag, combine the chicken, olive oil, oregano, garlic and a sprinkle of salt and pepper. Heat a large heavy duty pan to medium-heat and grill chicken 5-6 minutes per side until tender and cooked through. Remove from pan, cool for 5 minutes then slice or chop. Combine all the ingredients for the dressing in a mason jar and shake to combine. alternately, whisk i s a small bowl. In a large bowl, combine all the chopped ingredients for the salad. He has it all. He is able to solve all our financial, social, marital, mental or physical problems. 7) You will see that every problem is temporary and a great testimony in the making. When you are looking at Christ, you will always approach life’s challenges in a positive way. 8) You will hear exactly what you are supposed to hear. When you are looking at Jesus, you will hear the right words that you need to hear for your life. People can discourage you, but Jesus has encouraging words for you. 9) You will never change how you see God. SHOULD WE FIGHT IN FRONT OF THE CHILDREN? BY KIMBERLY MOSES

Have you ever argued in front of your children? Many do and in the heat of the moment, they don’t even consider the children. Kids are like sponges because they soak up everything. They are replicates of their parents and know more than we give them credit for. I remember when my parents were separated. The atmosphere in the house was tense. My siblings and I heard the yelling, cursing, and name calling. We felt an influx of emotions such as fear, shock, and confusion. My sense of security was

ripped away because our world was turned upside down. As a result, I ended up hating my father. I knew he loved me, but I was hurt when I watched the pain my mother endured. I made an inner vow that I will never be like my father, but I was more like him than I realized. When I was going through a divorce with my ex-husband, we argued in front of the children. We used to involve them in the argument and ask, “Who is right? Who do you love more, mommy or daddy? Who do you want to live

with?” Sometimes the kids would choose me and then other times they would choose him. I was crushed when they picked him over me. It was as if my heart was bleeding inside. We have to consider the following when we argue in front of our children: • Seeds are planted • Stressful • Division Seeds are planted and the children will think that it’s normal behavior. Do you

want your children to go through the same things as you? Do you want your children to be happy and have a peaceful home? Do you want your children to marry someone like you? Your children will date people and pick a fight with them in the name of love. They may make inner vows and mistakenly repeat the same cycle. Seeds of fear are placed in their hearts and invisible walls are put up for future relationships. Sadly, they will attract the same spirit inside of them. For example, if they are broken, then they will attract broken people. As a result, the chaotic cycle continues as the pair destroy and tear each other down. Ecclesiastes 1:9 (NLT) says, “History merely repeats itself. It has all been done before. Nothing under the sun is truly new.” Your children are stressed out when they see you fighting with the other parent. They cry, they might wet the bed, and their grades will suffer in school. My son endured all these symptoms and he wet the bed until he was nine years old. We must stop being selfish and consider how the children feel. If you need counseling to cope with the loss of a relationship, then most likely, the children

do as well. When you fight or end a relationship, the children break up with the person too. Perhaps the child formed an attachment to the other parent. Now it’s shattered because they might not see the other person as much. Many children are depressed because that spirit is a dark cloud looming over the entire household. When I was battling chronic depression, I shut down and it was hard to be a mother. Some days, all I did was sleep and I wasn’t invested in my children. I trained them to use the microwave and made sure they had games to play, which kept them busy until they wanted my attention. They didn’t realize how much they suffered because their childhood wasn’t as fun as it should’ve been during those dark years. My daughter suffered from anxiety because I had it. Even though my ex-husband and I did our best to raise them, the children’s sense of security was taken. I can recall a time when the children joined the argument as the moderator begging us to stop. That’s not fair to force a child to become an adult. They need to enjoy their childhood. Psalm 122:7 (NASB) says, “May peace be within your

walls, And prosperity within your palaces.” The enemy is placing seeds of division as we argue in front of the children. They will take sides of one parent while despising the other parent. Matthew 6:24 (NIV) says, “No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.” God’s plan for the home is unity. Families need to pray and stay together because the enemy wants to kill, steal, and destroy our lives. The devil loves to have the parents ripping each apart. Children need to have a safe, loving household. If you are arguing in front of your children, then stop.
