FIND COMFORT? BY: MRS. MAE - THE BETTER WIFE PROJECT As a stander you have more than likely felt that no one understands how you feel. In a time when people change spouses like they change undergarments, finding comfort during your stand is rare. Some will seek out help from pastors, family and friends but find them to be less than understanding. I can tell you from personal experience that ALL of theses sources will fail you at one point or another. Either they will tell you to get a divorce, separate or move on. Even if you find someone to comfort you through - they’ll eventually get tired of you and advise you out of the flesh instead of what God says, I know I have been there. So today I was reading Job 16 and I was so happy to see that He felt just like us standers. Job was in extreme anguish and his “friends” who were supposed to comfort him, encour-

age him and have empathy on his situation, did the extract opposite by condemning him and accusing Him of things He never did. Talk about adding insult to injury. Let’s take a look at a few verses. 2 “I have heard many things like these; you are miserable comforters, all of you! 3 Will your long-winded speeches never end? What ails you that you keep on arguing? 4 I also could speak like you, if you were in my place; I could make fine speeches against you and shake my head at you. 5 But my mouth would encourage you; comfort from my lips would bring you relief. Isn’t it funny how sometimes the ones closest to you can say things to hurt you instead of help you?! I’m in no way perfect or blameless but I try

my best to encourage others and if I can’t then I just pray about it because I know my prayers will do more than I ever could. So as I ponder these few words from Job, I heard God say, I AM the God of all comfort! During this season of our lives we must be sure that our hope, help, support and comfort comes from THE only reliable resource which is God alone. We can pour out our burdens and anxieties on Him without him ever getting tired or giving us wrong advice. So praise be to God this morning for drawing us nearer to Him even in the midst or distress and hurt.

Let’s be sure to place our faith in God daily. After all He who began a good work in us will complete it!

WHERE DID THE HURTING HEART

A man of violence entices his neighbor and leads him in a way that is not good (Proverbs 16:29). Do all things without grumbling or questioning (Philippians 2:14).

A man of wrath stirs up strife, and one given to anger causes much transgression (Proverbs 29:22). I am above reproach. I will be not be arrogant, quick-tempered, a drunkard, violent, or greedy for gain (Titus 1:7). I will love the way God tells me to love. Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful (1 Corinthians 13:4-5). ANGER

(Proverbs 29:11).

I will refrain from anger, and forsake wrath! I will fret not myself; it tends only to evil (Psalm 37:8).

I will put away: anger, wrath, malice, slander, and obscene talk from my mouth (Colossians 3:8).

Whoever is slow to anger has great understanding, but he who has a hasty temper exalts folly (Proverbs 14:29).

A hot-tempered man stirs up strife, but he who is slow to anger quiets contention (Proverbs 15:18).

For the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God (James 1:20). I will be angry and do not sin; I will not let the sun go down on my anger. I will give no opportunity to the devil (Ephesians 4:26-27). I will be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger (James 1:19). A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger (Proverbs 15:1). I will let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from me, along with all malice. I will be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave me (Ephesians 4:31-32). Good sense makes one slow to anger, and it is his glory to overlook an offense (Proverbs 19:11). I will not be quick in my spirit to become angry, for anger lodges in the bosom of fools (Ecclesiastes 7:9). Whoever is slow to anger is better than the mighty (Proverbs 16:32). A fool gives full vent to his spirit, but a wise man quietly holds it back

The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love (Psalm 103:8). I will lift up holy hands without anger or quarrelling (1 Timothy 2:8). If a wise man has an argument with a fool, the fool only rages and laughs, and there is no quiet (Proverbs 29:9).

I will be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; I will fret not myself over the one who prospers in his way, over the man who carries out evil devices! I will refrain from anger, and forsake wrath! I will fret not myself; it tends only to evil. For the evildoers shall be cut off, but since I wait for the Lord I shall inherit the land (Psalm 37:7-9). For it is God who works in me, both to will and to work for his good pleasure (Philippians 2:13). Wrath is cruel, anger is overwhelming, but who can stand before jealousy (Proverb 27:4)?

I will make no friendship with a man given to anger, nor go with a wrathful man (Proverbs 22:24).

A man of great wrath will pay the penalty, for if you deliver him, you will only have to do it again (Proverbs 19:19).

I will never avenge myself, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, â&#x20AC;&#x153;Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord (Romans 12:19).â&#x20AC;?

I will be angry, and not sin; I will ponder in my own heart on my bed, and be silent (Psalm 4:4).

A man of quick temper acts foolishly, and a man of evil devices is hated (Proverbs 14:17). I will not fulfill the works of the flesh which are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. If I do such things, I will not inherit the kingdom of God (Galatians 5:19-21). A man without self-control is like a city broken into and left without walls (Proverbs 25:28).

I will not be a scoffer and set a city aflame, but I will be wise and turn away wrath (Proverbs 29:8). I will not be jealous because it makes a man furious, and he will not spare when he takes revenge (Proverbs 6:34). I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me (Galatians 2:20).

ALERT

Dear Heavenly Father, I will praise the LORD according to His righteousness, and will sing praise to the name of the LORD Most High (Psalms 7:17NKJV). For the weapons of my warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds. I cast down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and I bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ (II Corinthians 10:4-5). Christ has redeemed me from the curse of the law, having become a curse for me (Galatians 3:13). For since I am born of God I overcome the world. And this is my victory that has overcome the world – my faith (I John 5:4). I have overcome him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of my testimony, and I do not love my life to the death (Revelation 12:11). I plead the blood of Jesus over my mind, my life, and my family. I place a hedge of protection, a bloodline, and a fire wall around me and everything that is associated with me. In Jesus name Amen.

Alert: According to Webster, being alert is to be fully aware and attentive. You will be swift and have an attitude of vigilance, readiness, or caution. Whenever we begin walking with God we will need to express this emotion constantly because we have a real enemy who will try to kill and destroy you daily. If you don’t practice spiritual warfare on a daily basis, now is the time to start. The enemy will attack you and your possessions. It is important to always pray about everything. The battle is in your mind. Remember you are not fighting against people but against spirits.

to stand against the wiles of the devil; for I do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. COUNTERFEITS WRITTEN BY REYNALDO RODRIGUEZ

Yes, the world tell us that our needs and desires can be met with the counterfeits that Satan has suggested, and people everywhere are frantically trying to meet their needs this way. That was never the intention of our Creator. It is the work of an enemy. When James says we are drawn away by our own desires or lusts, it is indeed our basic human needs that provide the possibility of our being drawn away, but it is not the needs or desires themselves that are wrong. The word used here is used in other places with a very positive connotation, “For truly I tell you, many prophets and righteous people longed to see what you see but did not see it, and to hear what you hear but did not hear it.” (Matthew 13:17) “And he said to them, “I have eagerly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer.” (Luke 22: 15) “I am torn between the two: I desire to depart and be with Christ,

which is better by far;” (Philippians 1: 23) “But, brothers and sisters, when we were orphaned by being separated from you for a short time (in person, not in thought), out of our intense longing we made every effort to see you.” (1 Thessalonians 2: 17) It has acquired its negative connotation in our minds because of the way we have tried to meet those desires or needs from the supermarket of wrong choices offered by the world. It is not the desires that are wrong; it is the way we have tried to meet them. And just linked temptation and the tempter in the prayer. JESUS taught His disciples, “This, then, is how you should pray: “‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the

evil one”(Matthew 6: 9 – 13), so we need to see that relationship implied in the idea of being drawn away. It is Satan who is the mastermind behind that strategy. He is the one who does the drawing away, by suggesting al the deceptive alternatives to us when we try to meet our legitimate needs. So, in talking about the world, the flesh, and the devil, we need to understand that it is not one or all the other. Most of the time it is not even mostly one or the other. They work together, and we need a strategy for resistance that takes into account all three without allowing an emphasis on one of them to dominate. We all have legitimate needs. The question is, are those needs going to be met by the world, the flesh, and the devil, or by Christ, who promises to meet all of our needs according to His riches in glory? (Philippians 4: 19)

Romans 5:1 The Voice (VOICE) Since we have been acquitted and made right through faith, we are able to experience true and lasting peace with God through our Lord Jesus, the Anointed One, the Liberating King. GOD’S WORD TO BE GLORIFIED Dear Heavenly Father, Lord, I bless your name. Lord, I pray today that the word of God may be glorified. Second Thessalonians 3:1 (KJV) says, “Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you:” Lord, give us ears to hear. Lord, give us eyes to see. Lord, thank you for giving us revelation. Lord, the scripture says your word is alive. God your word does not return to you void but you watch over it to perform it. Lord, I thank you that the angels hearken unto the voice of your word. God, I rebuke the spirit of error

and release the spirit of truth in our lives. Thank you Lord that your Word is glorified. and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” Romans 11:36 (ESV) says, “For from him and through him and to him are all things. DEFEATING SATAN WRITTEN BY REYNALDO RODRIGUEZ He does not tell us that we can do things we cannot do. “Only through God can we be successful. It is God alone who will defeat our enemies and bring us victory!” (Psalms 60: 12, The Voice) Paul clearly define who and where is our enemy. This scripture refers to the devil and forces of his infernal dark side, “Finally, brothers and sisters, draw your strength and might from God. Put on the full armor of God to protect yourselves from the devil and his evil schemes. We’re not waging war against enemies of

flesh and blood alone. No, this fight is against tyrants, against authorities, against supernatural powers and demon princes that slither in the darkness of this world, and against wicked spiritual armies that lurk about in heavenly places.” (Ephesians 6: 11 – 12) Paul knows that the real battles and dangers we face are not against flesh and blood. The enemies we see are real enough, but they are animated by spiritual forces of darkness that stay strategically hidden from view. These powers often

reveal themselves in institutional evils—genocide, terror, tyranny, and oppression—but the weapons needed to combat them are not earthly weapons at all. What is needed, Paul advises, is to stand firm in God’s power and to suit up in the full armor of God. Although the devil and his demon armies are destined for destruction, they are serious threats now and must be resisted and beaten back. For Paul, the best offensive weapons we have are the word of God and prayer. (The weapons we fight

The idea that you cannot do something God tells you to do is a lie from the enemy. God does not tell us that we can be victors in most things but that we are powerless against some of the enemy’s attacks. He tells us that we are “more than conquerors ”No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.” (Romans 8: 37). Paul doesn’t say, “I can do most of the things through Christ who strengthens me.” He says, “I can do everything through Christ who gives me strength,”(Philippians 4: 13). The problem is that we will always live what we really believe and if we believe we cannot do something, we won’t even try. Satan has kept many people from spiritual growth and maturity with his tactic. We listen when he suggests things like, “The idea of spiritual victory and fruitfulness is fine for others, but I’m too weak. I just don’t have enough faith”. “I guess the devil has my number. He knows that I just can’t resist in that area”, or “I just don’t feel that way, and if I do

something I don’t feel like doing. I am a hypocrite.” Notice that Satan will phrase the thoughts as though they were your own in a way you will think reflecting rationally. (Persuasion) If he can convince you that you really believe something, you will begin to act on that belief. Perhaps you are asking at this point, “Are you saying that Satan can put thoughts into my mind? Wouldn’t that be like saying, “The devil made me do it?” My answer is yes, we are saying that Satan can put thoughts into our minds, and no, it is not like saying the devil made you do it. The Scriptures tell us that Satan put thoughts in the mind of David, “Satan rose up against Israel and incited David to take a census of Israel.” (1 Chronicles 21: 1), of Judas, “The evening meal was in progress, and the devil had already prompted Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot, to betray Jesus.” (John 13: 2), and of Ananias, “Then Peter said, “Ananias, how is it that Satan has so filled your heart that you have lied to the Holy Spirit and have kept for yourself some of the money you received for the land?” (Acts 5: 3). The devil even put thoughts in Jesus mind. One day Jesus had this though in HIS mind: If you bow down and worship Satan, he will give you all the kingdoms of the world. What horrible thing for HIM to be thinking! Where did that thought come from? It obviously was not from

JESUS own thinking. It came from the devil, who was tempting HIM. “But, you say, wasn’t Satan literally present there in the wilderness? Wasn’t that different from Satan tempts us? The Bible says that JESUS was tempted in every way just as we are, “For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin.” (Hebrew 4: 15). The devil is a spiritual being, and JESUS, had taken on the form of a man, “rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness.” (Philippians 2: 7). Satan may have materialized so that he was visible to JESUS. We are not given that kind of detail in the biblical account. Even if did did appear, however, he was still a spiritual being, and the communication was from a spirit to a person. That is the way temptation happens; Jesus was tempted “just the way we are”. If it happen to JESUS, you have to believe that it can happen to us. Again, we can hear JESUS softly whispering inside our hearts, “Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” (Matthew 28: 20). When it comes to temptation, we are not alone.

DEFEATING ANGER

Karen grew up having a bad temper and the smallest thing would set her off. She learned her behavior from her mother who was known in the community for being violent. Karen often got into fights in school and was very confrontational over the pettiest things. One day Karen got into a fight and really hurt someone, she was arrested, and spent a few weeks in jail until she was able to post bail. Her jail experience is where she found a book called “Doing his time”. This book was full of God’s word and was an eye opener that Karen needed to turn her life around. While she was alone in her jail cell, she opened up her heart and cried out to God. God filled her with his love and his spirit. While she was in jail, there were a few tests that Karen had to face. With God’s strength Karen was able to overcome her anger issues. Karen today is transformed by God’s grace and one of the meekest people you could ever meet. Do you struggle with anger and have a difficult time controlling it? Did you learn anger from your parents like Karen did? God can change anyone and make them into a new creature in Christ. 2 Corinthians 5:17, Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” Anger can be overcome by putting on love (Christ) and putting on the fruits of the spirit. How do you put on love? Romans 13:14, says” But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts.” Galatians 5:22-23 says, But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Ask God to give you the fruits of the spirits on a daily basis. What did Karen read in God’s word that she made such a radical change in her behavior? After she read the following scriptures her heart felt conviction from the Holy Spirit. Every day and night she would mediate on these scriptures until they became

embedded in her heart. Proverbs 14:29: He who is slow to wrath has great understanding, But he who is impulsive exalts folly. Psalms 37:8: Cease from anger, and forsake wrath; Do not fret—it only causes harm. Ephesians 4:26: “Be angry, and do not sin.” do not let the sun go down on your wrath, Ecclesiastes 7:9: Be not quick in your spirit to become angry, for anger lodges in the bosom of fools. Heavenly Father, I come boldly to your throne. Philippians 2 says your name is higher than all names and that every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that Jesus is Lord. God, I confess that I have anger issues. I repent of my sins. James 1:20 says, “For the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God.” I will walk in obedience. I will follow what Ephesians 4:31 says, “Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander are put away from me, along with all malice.” 1 Corinthians 10:13 says that no temptation will overtake me because God is faithful and you will make a way of escape. In you Lord, I can overcome anger because Philip-

pians 4:13 says I can do all things through Christ who strengths me. I will be quick to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger. Anger and wrath is far from me! Today I walk in love because love conquers all. Lord, give me strength over my emotions and I will follow after the Spirit and not my flesh. I decree and declare that I am the righteousness of God. Mountain of strife, bitterness, and anger I command you to go and leave me NOW in Jesus name! Spirit of anger, my God will make you his footstool as he did for David in Psalm 110. I have victory wherever I go and since I am a child of the most high God I will not let anger defeat me! I plead the blood of Jesus on my mind and my emotions. In Jesus name Amen. Scriptures to Mediate on Anger: Proverbs 15:18 (ESV), A hot-tempered man stirs up strife, but he who is slow to anger quiets contention. Proverbs 29:22 (ESV), A man of wrath stirs up strife, and one given to anger causes much transgression. Proverbs 30:33 (ESV), For pressing milk produces curds, pressing the nose produces blood, and pressing anger produces strife.

What is God telling you to do? Sometimes we allow people and circumstances to prevent us from fully obeying God. For instance, you allow people to crush your dreams and desires that God has placed within you. People have spoken lies out of their own ignorance and insecurities telling you that you could never do the things that God has predestined for you to do. Just because you don’t fit their mold doesn’t mean you don’t fit God’s mold. God has something special planned for your life. Do not allow the fear of man or what other people think about you hold you back any longer. God is pushing you forward. He has already equipped you to do what He wants you to do. Delayed obedience is disobedience. Don’t miss out on the great things God has in store for you because you are worried about what other people think. Acts 5:29 says, “We must obey God rather than men.” Go forward and do what God is telling you to do. Dear Heavenly Father, I exalt you! I reverence you! I bless your Holy name! I humble myself and I repent for being disobedient. Lord, I ask for forgiveness. Have mercy upon me. I decree and declare that I will no longer allow people to hold me back. Proverbs 29:25 says, “The fear of man lays a snare, but whoever trusts in the LORD is safe.” I just want to please you God and be acceptable in your sight. So we can’t afford to give up, we can’t throw in the towel, we must fight our way through every havoc, we must fight our way through every pain and shame, and we must stand victorious. We may have lost more than we can think of in the past, but God guarantees restoration, your ability to stand the storm is needed, and your strength to fight this battle is highly needed. See beyond the present and never settle for less. Escalating beyond the ordinary man. The greatest weapon used on men is ‘fear’. If you ask many successful men to give their life history, they will all tell you that they were all once failure, at many points of their lives they all entertained fear, but became successful because they fought back against fear. It doesn’t matter what the world throw at you, just place it before God and remain positive. Don’t accept defeat; don’t give up, because the ability to greatness is rising above fear. Be a visionary Vision is very important in everyman’s life, without vision man is nothing. To every man with a vision it doesn’t matter how strong the storm is, they will never drift from their vision, but instead the vision will keep them going. There focus will not be on the storm or tribulations, but on the vision. Joseph dreamed as a child, he saw his brothers and parents bowing before him. He was hated because of his dreams; he was bullied and finally sold to slavery.

In slavery he was chosen as the chief of staff in the house of his master, and this made him his master’s favorite. Joseph being a handsome young man was admired by his master’s wife, and she wanted him to go in bed with him. Joseph knew what his visions are, his focus is solely on seeing them come through and he knew his God and feared Him. Joseph fled before his master’s wife and she later put him into prison. Things seems like it was over for Joseph, but God came through. In the prison be became the favorite and he became a leader over his fellow prisoners. In the prison he met up with the king’s officials who were also in prison with him, his talent pathed way for him, and his predictions became right. His talent led him out of prison and made him get to the king, and finally his dreams come to reality, he became a prime minister in a foreign land, and the situation of his country made his brothers and parent to come bow to him, as he escalated beyond the ordinary man. Self-discovery is very important, what is it that you have? That’s what God will use to escalate you. It doesn’t matter how strong the storm is that which God has inbuilt in you will always work for you. Joseph never gave up, the storms in his way never pulled him down, he never dishonored God, but instead he held on to what he had. We are all like the Eagle, we should be soaring high, and eating on the mountains but many are crawling and feeding on refuse bins because they haven’t discover their potentials, there God giving talent. Let me tell you a story, it’s a story of the chicken-eagle. An hunter went hunting deep in the forest and on the mountains, on his way down the mountain, he saw this empty nest with an egg, he picked it up brought it home and gave it to his wife who owns a hen, the hen is in it incubating

The eaglet thought it was a chicken, it grows bigger and bigger and still acted like chicken, the chickens recognizes it and feared it, but he doesn’t know what power it possess. But one day while feeding in the refuse

dump, some kids came chasing it away, the ran after it so fast that it decided to make use of its wings, to its surprise the eagle noticed how far it was away from the kids, and how high it can fly, in excitement, it kept on flying and flew far from home. It joined other eagles in the sky and did what they do, it forgot about the old chicken way, and lived a normal eagle’s life. Like the eagle we are, something must chase us out of that low life that we are used to and fly high, reaching our full potential. Escalate beyond the ordinary, stand your ground; believe in God for great happenings, because we all have the winning

power within us. See those crises as just drivers of our cars, driving us to the way of glory, see those afflictions as pilots, piloting our airplanes towards the joy of the Lord, see those pains and shames as just captains of our ships sailing us to the coast of phenomenal and hyper blessings. We can’t resist them, but we can overcome them. UNDERSTANDING THE DISEASE AND PATHOPHYSIOLOGY: CHRONIC PANCREATITIS SECONDARY TO CHRONIC ALCOHOLISM

The pancreas consists of endocrine and exocrine glands that secrete hormones or digestive enzymes. The exocrine functions are concerned with digestion and the endocrine glands are concerned with hormone secretion.1The pancreas is composed of two types of cells: acinar (exocrine) cells that secrete pancreatic enzymes into the pancreatic duct1 and islet of Langerhan cells (endocrine) that secrete hormones into the blood stream.1 The islet of Langerhans consists of alpha that produce glucagon, beta

cells that produce insulin, and D cells that produce somatostatin.1The exocrine secretions are carried to the digestive tract via the pancreatic duct, which then joins with common bile duct and enters the duodenum.2 There are three phases in that control gastric function: cephalic, gastric, and intestinal. In the cephalic phase, the vagus nerve is activated by sight, smell, taste of food.3 The input from the following stimuli is at the dorsal vagal complex and the output is

transmitted to the exocrine pancreas via the vagus nerve.3 The cephalic phase mediates secretion primarily from the acinar cells.3 Acinar cells contain receptors for various neurotransmitters and supporting data shows gastrin releasing peptide and vasoactive intestinal polypeptide mediate enzyme secretion.3 In the gastric phase, pancreatic secretions results from meals in the stomach or gastric distention 3, which causes secretion of digestive enzymes with little secretion of water and bicarbonate.3 In the intestinal phase, pancreatic secretion starts when chyme first enters the small intestine from the stomach and continues for the duration of the digestive period.3 Pancreatic juice secretion is controlled by secretin and cholecystokinin.3 Chronic pancreatitis is the result of irreversible damage to the pancreas that is caused by repeated inflammation and results in destruction of both the exocrine and eventually endocrine tissue.2This irreversible damage leads to fibrosis with tissue of calcification.2 Alcoholism is the most com-

mon cause of chronic pancreatic and cystic fibrosis is the frequent cause in children in the United States.2 Signs and symptoms include abdominal pain and normal or mildly elevated pancreatic enzyme levels.2 Patients with chronic pancreatis experience weight loss, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, and fatty stools.2 If the pancreas loses its function then diabetes and steatorrhea will be present.2The overall survival rate is 70% at ten years and 45% at 20 years, but is dependent upon age at diagnosis, whether the patient smokes and continues use of alcohol, and the presence of liver cirrhosis.2 Alcohol can be metabolized in the hepatocytes of the liver by three different pathways: ADH pathway in the cytosol, the microsomal ethanol oxidizing system (MEOS) in the endoplasmic reticulum, and catalase in peroxisomes.2 In the ADH pathway, ADH catalyzes the conversion of ethanol to acetaldehyde coupled with the reduction of NAD+ to NADH.2 Acetaldehyde is converted to acetate can enter the TCA cycle or can be further oxidized to carbon dioxide and water.2 The MEOS can be used for both ethanol and drug metabolism when there is an exposure to ethanol, utilizes oxygen and NADPH, and has a lower optimum pH.2 The increase ratio of NAPH/ NAD stimulates the synthesis of fatty acids.2 Due to women having higher body fat than men they are affected by alcohol more rapidly.4 Women also have less of alcohol dehydrogenase, an enzyme that breaks down alcohol before it enters the blood stream in their stomachs.4 Women absorb up to nearly 30% more alcohol into their bloodstream than men of the same height

Alcoholic liver disease (ALD) is the primary cause of chronic medical illness and death in people who abuse alcohol.2 ALD is 1.5 higher in Hispanics than white Americans and 2.5 times higher in Native Americans.2The hepatotoxic alcohol threshold for the development of ALD is 40 g and 20 g daily for men and women, respectively.2Another consequence of alcoholism is a fatty liver. Fatty liver or steatosis and is present in 90% of chronic alcohol abusers.2Hepatomegaly, jaundice, and light stools are clinical signs of a fatty liver. In addition, glutamyltransferase and transaminases will be elevated.2 Lastly, alcoholic hepatitis can form with chronic ethanol consumption.2Alcoholic hepatitis presents with fever, jaundice, hepatomegaly, ascites, and portal hypertensive bleeding.2

help. Keep yourself from evil, you will be used by God for any good work. My children, My children, do you not think I don’t see you and hear you. I hear your cries and your supplication. I am with you in the good times and in the bad times. I am the Great I am and the Alpha and Omega .I am The First and the Last. I am the God who restores. I am the Lord of the breakthrough. I am the God who gives the increase and the God who takes it away. If you obey my words and be careful to follow my decrees

your joy will be full and you will be blessed beyond your greatest expectation. It is time to rise up and have faith in me. Do you believe me or the things that you see? I am looking for someone who will choose to believe me over the chaos of the world. I am looking for someone who I can show myself strong in their lives. Are you going to pass test the enemy throws at you to cause you to doubt me? If you pass the test and choose to believe, great will be your reward. This is your time and season to experience great things.

I want you to learn the importance of faith, it is the most powerful force on earth. Your faith pleases me. It grieves me how you have faith for one area of your life but not enough faith to trust me with another area of your life. Trust me. Do you think that I will allow the enemy to defeat you? Tell the enemy who you are in my son Jesus and speak my word. The possibilities are endless. It is time to rise up and fight in these last days. My son Jesus is soon to return. It is time for my people to walk in their Kingship and the authority that Jesus Christ gave them. I am with you. I am for you. I am looking for

faithful servants who want to be a friend. The word that God has spoken over your life will come to pass. Romans 4:21 says, “He was fully convinced that God is able to do whatever he promises.” Keep the Faith. God is behind the scenes lining things up for you .Do not Lose Hope WORD OF WISDOM: To see the miraculous in your life, you need to recognize who you are in Jesus Christ, have the right mindset, and exercise your faith. Your faith is a force to be reckon with and will move the hand of God in your situation. Make your daily confessions, it will surely come to pass. Genesis 18:14 says, “Is any thing too hard for the Lord?” Your blessing is on the horizon. Keep pressing forward!!

WORD OF WISDOM: God says He is looking at your attitude during the storm. Are you going to keep the right attitude when things don’t go your way? Or are you going to throw a hissy fit? We are commanded to be of good cheer because in the end we know we have the victory in Jesus Christ. Like God always tells me, “If you trust me, then why cry and be worried.” Pass the attitude test. God is watching your response. John 16:33 says, “These things I have spoken unto you, that in Me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation, but be of good cheer: I have overcome the world.” WORD OF WISDOM: You might not understand how God will bring things together for you, but just surrender all the doubt, worry, and fear and say “ I trust you Lord”. Continue to think on the great things that God has done for you in the past. God takes care of His children.

God gave me a word. He spoke to me telling me that I will never be homeless. In the natural, it seemed like I would be homeless. I didn’t work all the previous month. I had bill collectors calling me every day. I did not have any income or money in the bank. I received a noticed summoning me to court to begin the eviction process. I was worried initially and stressed out. But I remember the word God gave me. He told me that I would never be homeless. So I had two choices to make, believe God or stress myself out. I chose to believe God. I went into deep worship and praise. I could barely pray at that time so I just prayed in tongues. So in the midst of the chaos, something miraculous happened. My parents received a big financial blessing. They were unable to sleep at night because God gave them a dream at night to help me. So the next day after my parents received the dream, they called me and told me they would help me move into a cheaper place. Not only did they help me move but they paid my rent for two months in advance. Now I don’t have to pay rent until January. I can get caught up on other bills that are past due. I thank God for using my parents as a vessel to bless me. God is so good. Sometimes we expect God to move one way but He moves in another way. It is much easier to believe God than to make myself sick by worrying. Kimberly I had a lump in my breast. I

was in so much pain. I was scheduled for a biopsy in a couple of weeks. I got on a prayer call and received prayer from Prophetess Kimberly Hargraves. I felt something I never felt before and I knew God had touched me. When I went to go feel for the lump, it had disappeared. I was so amazed. I know that I am healed. God is my healer. Anonymous

One Saturday morning, I called Prophetess Kimberly Hargraves’ prayer line. When she prayed for me, the power of God came through my body and God healed me. I had a back condition for ten years. I had pain in my back from multiple sclerosis. I got on a prayer call and received prayer from Prophetess Kimberly Hargraves. I felt fire on my back and she said God was healing me. She told me to bend over and to do something I could never do before. I stepped out in faith and realized that all the pain in my back was totally gone. Wow, I had back pain for ten years but in one moment, God took it all away. Glory!! I thank God for my healing. A few months ago, I received surgery. I had a deep incision from the middle of my breast to the bottom of my pelvic region. My stitches were irritated and I had a lot of pain in that area of my incision. When I asked for prayer, Prophetess Kimberly Hargraves asked if I was in pain because she said she felt my pain on her body. After she prayed for me, the fire of God came through my body and removed all the pain and irritation from my incision site. I am able to sleep much better at night. A few weeks ago, I was at home taking a shower. When I got out the shower, I slipped and fell. Immediately, pain shot throughout my body and I couldn’t get up. My husband was at home at the time and he helped me up and took me to the hospital. I was admitted to the hospital and they set me up to receive outpatient rehab. Well, with the rehab services, I was slowly getting better but I was still in a lot of pain. I couldn’t walk by myself and could only take small steps.

Last weekend, I was just drained from going through the trials in life. My body had become physically ill from the fiery trial. All in one week, I broke out in hives, had severe heart pains, vomiting daily, and bad headaches. I was dealing with family issues and not feeling good enough. things off of me. I felt things moving through my body and I was trembling in His presence. After the prayer, I was liberated and felt so much better. Peace overwhelmed me. I had night sweats and a swollen throat that wouldn’t go anywhere no matter how much I prayed and rebuked it. I cried out to God and asked Him, “Why am I suffering like this?” I was so desperate for healing but I couldn’t go to the doctor due to not having medical insurance. I had no other choice but to depend on God. I called the prayer line Saturday morning and ask Prophetess Kimberly Hargraves prayed for me, God showed her that my prayers were hitting the ceiling because I haven’t tithed in a long time. I tried to explain why I was unable

to pay tithes, but the spirit of the Lord ministered to me. I understood then that I could tithe and I was going to obey the word of the Lord. As soon as I made up my mind to sow a seed, the power of God hit my body. The swelling in my throat disappeared and the pain was gone. Then one minute later, I began to vomit. I had vomited up the spirits that were attacking my body. That has never happened before. I am delivered. I am set free. God heard my prayers. Since I obeyed Him, He moved on my behalf. Mae, FL I hadn’t sleep well in weeks. I was running on fumes. It didn’t matter how much I tried to rest, I was just so restless. I called the prayer line Saturday morning and Prophetess Kimberly Hargraves called out the spirit of insomnia. Instantly, I felt something break off me. Then I felt lighter and I felt a refreshing. I am now sleeping well at night. I thank God for giving Prophetess a word of knowledge about me. His presence and the anointing

felt so good. Michelle I had some unforgiveness issues towards my father. I had been angry with Him for years for not being there in my childhood. Our relationship is on rocky foundation. I recently got saved but so desperately want my father to be saved since he is up in age. I have found it difficult to forgive my dad at times. I cried and prayed over this issue several times. When I called into the prayer line Saturday morning, Prophetess Kimberly Hargraves called out childhood abandonment. Immediately, I felt something shoot through my body. It was a tingling sensation that went through my heart, arms and legs. I knew that at that moment, God was touching me and healing my hard heart. Since that morning, my heart has been soft and tender towards my father. I believed that God delivered me for unforgiveness.
