How can a person be born in 1963 but not start living until 2020? This is proof that God is faithful to His promises. After living life on my own terms and through pain, I was brought to a place of total surrender to my relationship with God. You see, when God says He is a jeal-

ous God, He means just that (Ex 34:14 KJV). I accepted the Lord at the age of eight, but I had no clue what went along with such a great decision. I knew I needed to read my Bible and pray daily, but after that, I did not know what to do next. I am a perfect example of what Hosea 4:6

is talking about. Some people say what you do not know will not hurt you, but I know firsthand that ignorance can kill you. I was not taught how to have an intimate relationship with God nor who Holy Spirit is. I was doing a lot of things but had no knowledge of what I was doing.

For example, I was always meditating but had no idea that this was necessary to growing in God’s word or building a solid relationship with Him. Ignorance caused me a lot of pain, and later in another article or book, I will discuss the importance of having a mentor. Here I am at the tender age of 57, and I can say I have only just begun to live. God told me directly and through many of His other mouthpieces that my latter years would be my best years, and I can say without a doubt that He that promised me that is truly faithful. Hebrew 10: 23 (AMP) says: Let us seize and hold tightly the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is reliable and trustworthy and faithful [to His word]. It is imperative that we have fruitful knowledge of God’s spoken word to us and His written word. As you are reading this article, I pray that you are moved to pray for God to increase your capacity for His word and meditation. In Psalms 1:2 (NKJV), it says: But his delight is in the law of LORD, And in His law he meditates day and night. I decree and declare that your hunger and thirst for God’s Word will increase, in

Jesus’ name, and your desire for God will go to heights unknown for His glory. You will never believe where I am writing this article; I am in the city that never sleeps (NYC) because God promised that I would travel. I am in a position now to meet, minister, and exercise the gifts God placed in me with people I never dreamed I would meet. Hallelujah!!!!! God is truly worthy to be praised. I have to remind myself that I am not at home, but I am actually in a state that I have never traveled in my life. I just want you to know that whatever God has promised you, He is faithful to bring it to fruition. I can honestly say that I have never been this full of joy and happiness like this before, but again, He that promised it is faithful. I can not express this enough. In order for the promises to come to pass, we have to believe God’s Word. However, before we can believe His Word, we must know His Word. Hebrews 11:6 blesses me to no end. I don’t look like what I have been through because what was intended to destroy me pushed me into the face of my Father, and this is why I can truly say: I AM LIVING MY BEST LIFE!!!!

I just want you to know that whatever God has promised you, He is faithful to bring it to fruition. I can honestly say that I have never been this full of joy and happiness like this before, but again, He that promised it is faithful.

IN YOUR TEST OF PROMOTION, YOU WILL PREVAIL BY Dr. CANDICE SMITHYMAN

Have you been experiencing spiritual warfare lately? Does it feel like there are blockades and obstacles in your way? Have things been difficult? Listen: This is happening because you have just been promoted!

Promotion time is here! On Thursday, February 11, at sundown, we entered a brand new Hebrew calendar month, Adar. Adar means completion and is known as the month of joy. It is the 12th month on the ecclesiastical calendar,

which started at Passover in 2020. During this month, the Jewish people celebrate Purim. Purim this year is sundown, Thursday, February 25-Friday, February 26. It is when the Jewish people remember how Esther went boldly before the King to

share Haman’s evil plan for the annihilation of the Jewish people. Esther risked her life to properly position the Jews and their nation to be saved. God gave her favor and a plan. Just like God prepared, promoted, and put her in place for “such a time as this,” He is doing the same for you, for the purpose and destiny that He has called you to. Mordecai, Esther’s cousin, told her about what would happen to the Jewish people if she did not speak up. These were the words that invited Esther to her place of promotion. They were

words to save her nation. We are never truly promoted until we are faced with a situation where we have to stand for righteousness. There are steps to a promotion. Esther’s first promotion was coming into the palace, and she was being purified for a year before seeing the King. The second promotion was when she was asked to stand in her position to save her people. Your promotion is not just about you; it is about others too. Esther 4:12-14 reads, “When Esther’s words were reported to Mordecai, he sent back this answer: ‘Do not think that because you are in the King’s house, you alone of all the Jews will escape. For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?’” We need to remember the importance of our promotion as we see the increase in spiritual warfare and our response to it. The enemy always wants to push back whenever we get promoted. Let’s not forget that in January, we gave God our first fruits and consecrated ourselves before Him. He

brought us to capacity and expanded us upon a strong foundation. You’ve gone to the next level! This is why you feel the friction in the spirit realms. You have been given a greater responsibility than you have ever had before. God has properly positioned you to minister to a remnant, not to sit around like royals. He has given you a sphere of influence to use the power He has given you to make changes. You must open your mouth! God has given you a voice and His Word. When you speak, it’s like a spark of God releases and ignites things. You can change a nation! Promotion comes with a test that proves we walked into the promotion. The enemy is prepared to convince you that this promotion didn’t happen, that you’re not good enough, or that you couldn’t possibly be called to do this. He tries to get involved in the things of God and the progression of the Lord. He tries to push it back by bringing hindrances. Let’s go back to Esther. What did she do? Esther 4:15-16 (NIIV) reads, “Then Esther sent this reply to Mordecai: ‘Go, gather together all the Jews who are in Susa, and fast for me. Do not eat or drink for three

days, night or day. I and my attendants will fast as you do. When this is done, I will go to the King, even though it is against the law. And if I perish, I perish.’” She asked her people to fast and pray for her for three days and nights. They joined in agreement that she would obtain the strength needed to go before the King. If she didn’t go, she and her people would perish. The secret to getting past the pushback of the enemy is to step into the heavenly places. We must operate in the joy of the Lord. Remember, you’re a citizen of heaven and the joy of the Lord is your strength (Nehemiah 8:10). In His presence, there is fullness of joy. That is where you need to position yourself: in His presence. Get in that secret place with the Lord and let Him build you up. Fasting and praying will discipline you to sit with the Lord and hear Him. He will give you strategies and show you how to navigate the sphere of influence He called you to. Our God is forever moving and does not stagnate. We have to keep up with Him! The Lord will promote you many times to the next level. There are regular times of fulfillment of the promotion twice a year: during Passo-

ver and Rosh Hashanah, the two main Hebrew New Years. God usually starts adjusting us for the promotion about four to six weeks beforehand. Why? Our God is cyclical. He works in cycles. God wants you to walk in the totality of each promotion for six months. This brings strength. It helps you stay in the proper position, keeps your joy steady, and allows you to carry His power until He turns the calendar again with a new promotion. So be encouraged! You have stepped into a new season, a time, and place where God is using you in a mighty way. Do not shrink back. The righteous do not shrink back; they live by faith. No matter the opposition, press forward. The enemy cannot take your promotion. There is joy in His presence, and that is what it’s going to take for you to fulfill your purpose and destiny.

PROPHET JOSEPH WALLER

Interviewer: I want to start by asking how your journey to salvation was?

Prophet Joseph Waller: My salvation journey came from being with my grandmother. At an early age of 10 years old, I received the Lord. Interviewer: Wow! That is amazing! Prophet Joseph Waller: There was a lady named Mother Kay who would go to church every Sunday. I started going to church with her. That is pretty much how I came into salvation. Interviewer: I saw something about being raised in the Baptist Church? Prophet Joseph Waller: Yes, when I first got saved, I was in a Baptist church. It was then that God was preparing me for ministry. As a matter of fact, the day I joined the church, I joined a program. The deaconess at that time had their Pink Tea Program. I can’t remember what all the program was about, but I know that

I joined during that time because they wanted me to speak at their Pink Tea the next year. I ministered a year later for their event. There were certain things about the Pastor at that time. He is still pastoring there at 90 years old. He would have me lead prayer and do small things. I look over it now, and I can tell that the Lord was preparing me for the call that He had placed upon my life.

Interviewer: Amen. Because your background is Baptist, how was it when you transitioned to the prophetic? Prophet Joseph Waller: Well, you know the thing about the church that I was at, there were quite a few people who were Spiritfilled. For instance, my Sunday School teacher, who has since gone home to be with the Lord. She received the baptism of the Holy Spirit, and the Lord called her into the preaching ministry. She was the second woman there that was called into ministry and recognized in

ministry from that church. When I was spoken to by the Lord about the Prophetic, I was still in the Baptist church. I didn’t know much because, at that time, they did not teach about those things. They never discredited those things, but they never taught about them either. One time while in prayer, I had an encounter with God. The Lord spoke to me and said, “I have called you to be a prophet to my people.” Over time, He would send people to teach and train me. I would go to different places to learn. I was about 12 when the Lord called me into the prophetic ministry. Interviewer: Wow!!! Powerful!! You said something so key: God would send people to teach you because your church wasn’t teaching on it at the time. That is powerful. You were 12 years old, and I want to really emphasize that. Some of us have children around that age. My son is 12. That is encouraging to me.

One time while in prayer, I had an encounter with God. The Lord spoke to me and said, “I have called you to be a prophet to my people.” Over time, He would send people to teach and train me. I would go to different places to learn.

Prophet Joseph Waller: Wow! Interviewer: People should know that God calls the youth. You got saved around ten years old. God began to just move into your life, and doors immediately started opening up for you. How important is it to mentor and have a mentor? You know, someone like Elijah and Elisha. Also, tell us about your encounters and experiences with a mentor that helped you? Prophet Joseph Waller: I believe that mentoring is very important, and I think that the key is that you just

don’t run to anybody to try to mentor you. You have to be careful with that part of it, but you need to really ask the Lord to send the right people to come and to mentor you. You have to learn in that season and learn to listen. [You can’t try] to display your gift and all that you know, but come listening and ready to learn. That is one thing even today, and I still get in environments where I just listen, and I am not there to mentor. I am there to learn and to listen. It is very important that in any ministry, you need the mentoring factored in. You need the right people mentoring. [Some people have] a lot of people chasing them to mentor them, but you need to ask the Lord to send you the right people or the right person to come and mentor you. When God does it, it will be a perfect fit and it won’t be a forced thing. Often, we are trying to force people in our lives, and God never called these people to our lives.

encounters? Prophet Joseph Waller: I believe God will allow you to learn from the bad and the good. With mentoring or with a mentor, they’re not going to be perfect. Many times we’re looking for someone perfect, and they’re not going to be perfect. Here’s the thing, if you walk with a person long enough, you’re going to see somethings about them. Some of those things you’re not going to agree with, there may be a disagreement. You may have done things differently from the way they do it, but God will cause you to sit under and learn. Like Saul, David never touched Saul. He still honored him even though Saul was trying to kill him. So even if you have a bad mentor, don’t talk against them or talk bad about them. There are some things you could learn, even if it’s what not to do. I believe that and stand by that.

Prophet Joseph Waller: You had another part to that question?

Interviewer: Amen! When you started hearing God’s voice, how did you know it was God’s voice. A lot of people ask, “Is it my voice or God’s voice?” How can one distinguish between the voice of God and their own?

Interviewer: Oh, yes, about your experience and your

the psalmist begins to say he’s going to hear God. The Bible says he’s going to speak peace to His people. I believe one of the greatest things about when God speaks: there is a peace. There’s a peace when God speaks. Not necessarily goosebumps but peace. God never speaks in confusion. Interviewer: Amen! Prophet Joseph Waller: He speaks peace. I believe there is a peace, calm, and assurance when He speaks. The greatest training ground to hearing the voice of God is His Word. When we spend time in the Word and in fel-

lowship with God, we will know His voice. His voice never contradicts His Word. They’re in agreement. That’s one of the things I tell people. If you want to hear God more, it all starts with us listening and going into His Word. So we’ll know when other voices come. We’ll know because we trained our spirits in the Word. We’ll know what’s not from the Holy Spirit. We’ll say, “I know that’s not from the Holy Spirit because that doesn’t line up with His Word. That’s in contradiction of His Word.” Interviewer: Amen! What was a supernatural encounter that you have had, a prophecy that God gave you to release, or something that made you say, “Wow, God!” A wow moment! I know you’ve been in ministry for over twenty-plus years. I know you have a lot of expertise to give. What was one of those miracles, signs, or wonders? Or one of those prophecies that God used you to do that made you say wow? That made your head kind of spin? Prophet Joseph Waller: One that would come to memory was some years ago. I was in a service ministering, and there was a young lady. The Lord had me call her out. I began to minister to her and

speak into her life. The next person the Lord had me to call out, I did not know, but as I was ministering to him some things, people were excited, jumping around, and rejoicing. They were husband and wife. They were estranged. The Lord gave me a word to tell them. To him, it was the Lord was going to restore his family. Come to find out that his wife was there. The Lord gave me a word for her to go back to her husband. I remember that night. Her mother was the Pastor. The young lady called me and said, “I don’t love my husband anymore.” She was involved with another man. They were in a relationship, and the Lord spoke to me she needed to go back to her husband. So I’ll never forget it was a year and five months later they called me and asked if I saw on the news that the particular sister was killed. Interviewer: What! Prophet Joseph Waller: What happened was her boyfriend, the guy who she was in love with, the one the Lord told her to leave and go back home to her husband, killed her. He then put the gun to himself. The reason why that’s so touching to me, and I share this mostly in a lot of my

prophetic teaching and even ministering, is because it shows you how much God cares for people. He warned one particular young lady to leave, but she wouldn’t. The consequence was that she died. She was 34 years old at the time, and she had three children. They were young at the time. They’re adults now. That’s one of the stories that’s very touching, and it shows as a prophet, you have to obey God when He tells you to do things. Interviewer: Yes. Prophet Joseph Waller: Now, you have to get from Him the wisdom on how to say what He gives you. [He has] to give you the ability to say it in the right way and in the right spirit. I believe this with prophets today. That prophets need the tongue of the learned. Interviewer: Yes. Prophet Joseph Waller: The prophet would know not just what to say but how to say what God is articulating to them. That is just one story that has always been touching because it was like wow. The Lord gave her a whole year and five months to really get herself together, leave that relationship, go to her husband, and she didn’t.

Interviewer: Wow! That blew my mind because, as you said, God loves us so much, and He warns us. We just got to listen. Disobedience can cost us our lives. That is so important that you said something about prophets just giving the word of the Lord despite who wants to hear it or not and saying it in the right spirit. You also said another key thing about the things that are going on now in the prophetic. Can you kind of hit on that? What do prophets need to be doing in this season because we have some people prophesying this and prophesying that, and there are a lot of contradictions? Prophet Joseph Waller: Well, there are few things that my wisdom would be: 1. Prophets need to get back into the study of the Word and spending time with God. 2. Prophets need to make sure that they are held accountable for what they say, not just to God. That is why you must have leadership. There are times that you are going to hear a Word, but you need to get wisdom. Sometimes you need to get wisdom from leadership, tell them that you have this Word and show you

I think what we have to do as prophets is break the spirit of wanting to be this famous celebrity prophet to the people. I think that is one thing the Holy Spirit is getting ready to deal with in the prophetic community because so many people, so many prophets, want to be famous. They want to be

known to men. They are doing all kinds of things to do that, but you have to understand that you are going to answer to God at the end of the day. They need to understand that it is never for your glory when God puts you in places, but it is for His glory. 3. Be faithful to the Word that the Lord gives you. We see many people who are repeating things that they hear other people say, and that is one thing that Scripture declares that the prophet should never do.

God puts the Word in the prophet’s mouth, and they need to be faithful with that Word that He has put in their mouth. It may not be like what everyone else is saying. It may not be long and a whole sentence, but it may be just one Word that God has given you to tell the people. But be faithful with the message that God has given you. That is just some of the wisdom that I would give to this prophetic generation for such a time as this.

I wrote another book called Demystifying the Laws of Faith.” So, I am actually going to release another book in the weeks to come that the Lord graced me with. Then, after that, we’re going to revamp Demystifying the Laws Of Faith. God has blessed me and I give Him the praise for the great things He has

Interviewer: Amen. What about My Destiny Is Now? What is that book about? Prophet Joseph Waller: My Destiny Is Now deals [with your destiny]. When people

deal with destiny, they only look at the sweet by and by or one of these old days, but your destiny is now! You’re on the earth now! One thing I like to say is this your birth announced your destiny, but your new birth when you got born again activated your destiny. And so, everyone has a purpose, and everyone has a value within the earth. We need to start moving in what God has called us to do. Though destiny is progressive, it’s a journey! As we’re faithful to walk out what God has called us step by step, the more He’s going to entrust and show us and trust us with as we are faithful with our present. Interviewer: Amen! You talked about you’re going to revamp Demystifying the Laws of Faith. Can you tell us a little bit about that book?

Prophet Joseph Waller: Yeah, that deals with seven laws of faith that we deal with. Faith is the currency of the Kingdom of God. Faith causes that which is in the invisible realm to manifest in the visible realm. We deal with faith and how to bring what has been declared from heaven down into the earth and in your life. This book deals with some principles of how to see those things get done. How do I see what God promised come into manifestation in my life? So that’s one of the things that we deal with in that book. Interviewer: Amen! I kno you were born in California, and then you went to Ohio. Now you’re in Detroit. How was your process of moving? What is your favorite place that you have traveled to? Prophet Joseph Waller: Moving from California to Ohio really wasn’t a challenge because my grandmother lived there. I would go there during the summertime. I would go to Ohio to spend time with her. After a few years, God planted me here in Detroit, Michigan. My father’s mother and his family are here. It really wasn’t a major challenge as far as coming. I believe it was preparing

me for what God would have me to do. My favorite place is California simply because of the weather, and there is so much to do in Los Angeles. I always tell people that there is a lot of stuff that you can do. I like that it is three hours behind Eastern Standard Time. The time doesn’t get away from you so quickly as it does on Eastern Standard Time. The day doesn’t go as fast compared to the East coast. Interviewer: That’s true. I look at the bigger scheme of things. We are all at a corporate individual level. The Lord is testing us to see what we are going to do at this time. What the Lord told you to do preCOVID-19, He already knew that COVID-19 was coming, so He is not going to release you from an assignment that He gave you in another

season or a pandemic. We got to be careful. I believe that God is testing us to show us where our foundation is. Is it upon Him, the saints, or those things of men? We really have to decide. I recently asked someone this question: what if God paid us the way we serve during this pandemic? With the church situation in California, we need to come together as a people and rally with one another. We can’t pull out of Hebrews 10:25 that says not forsaking the assembly of one another. We can’t say that scripture isn’t relevant

People attack those pastors in California, but you don’t know what God told them. You don’t know what God spoke to them because you are not God. We often want to critique and tell someone else about their obedience when we are not really connected to these people. We don’t know these people or have a relationship with them. We need to stand up for California. You are not going to take our rights away, especially the right to assemble. Interviewer: Amen. Do you

still do your prayer calls, and if so, how often? Prophet Joseph Waller: We shifted over to Facebook LIVE. We do that every Monday through Friday at 10 pm EST. We spend time in the Word. I spend the first part in the Word, and the last half I spend in prayer and ministering as the Lord leads. Interviewer: Do you have words of encouragement for our readers? passed can alter food safety, economy, natural environment, housing, medicine, education, entertainment, family, and so much more. I was disappointed to see the leader of the country in 2020 act in a way that

wasn’t fit for office. Manipulating, control, bullying, lying, name-calling, cursing, or violence is never okay. If you are blessed to be in a position of authority, be a good steward over it. God allowed you to be there. Romans 13:1 (ESV) says, “Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God.” People are looking up to you, and you must ensure that you are impacting lives positively. Major corruption was occurring during this time which eventually got exposed, such as the severity of COVID-19, vaccines, election results, scandals, and so much more. President Trump and his team tried to downplay the Coronavirus, and a recording came out revealing it months later.1 Many blamed him for the surge of the virus and deaths since he made wearing a mask a political statement. Masks are known to prevent breathing in contaminated air and protect the sinus from the splatter of foreign particles. Masses attended his campaign rallies without wearing masks or social distancing, which the Center for Disease Control warned against. President Trump

disagreed with science and the facts, which later backfired as he and several others connected to him contracted COVID-19. 2 Luke 8:17 says, “For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither any thing hid, that shall not be known and come abroad.” • Godly wisdom Our leaders need God’s wisdom to make the best decision. They can’t be sold out to money, fame, or other evil works. God’s wisdom is so different than earthly wisdom. What seems like a great idea in the natural may be contrary to God’s standards. When the nation is in right alignment with God, then it’s blessed. Psalm 33:12 says, “Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.” Dear Heavenly Father, Please impart godly wisdom into the leaders of the country. Allow them to seek Your counsel when they make decisions. Soften their hearts to have Your plans. You said that if any man lacks wisdom they can come to You without reproach and You will give them wisdom generously (James 1:5).
