Page 04 VOISINS: 176 YEARS OF HISTORY IN STORE Voisin & Company was founded by Francis Voisin on 5 April 1837 as a haberdashery shop in 26 King Street. The company expanded throughout the nineteenth century opening a men’s outfitters in 1838 and a furniture department in New Street in 1868. Francis Voisin’s success stemmed largely from his determination to source the right goods for his store and he went on many buying trips around the world. With his belongings tied up in a red handkerchief, he travelled to the Continent, Asia and America in pursuit of the perfect products for his customers.
Charles Bisson and from then until Mr Bisson’s retirement in 1876, the store was called Voisin, Bisson & Co. Showing his entrepreneurial skills, Francis Voisin formed a bank to facilitate his trading in different currencies and to offer credit facilities to his customers.
With his buying trips taking him to England and France for ribbons, to Belgium, Yorkshire and Northern Ireland for linen, to the Orient for silks and to Russia for furs, Francis Voisin was the most travelled Jerseyman of his time.
He ran his bank so successfully that it was one of very few that survived the crash of many Jersey banks in the mid 1880s. It remained open until the end of the nineteenth century when English clearing banks arrived in the Island. In those early years, the demand for jobs at Voisin & Co was so great that there was a waiting list. Successful candidates underwent a three year apprenticeship, learning firstly how to wrap a parcel and then studying the stock of each department before being allowed to serve any customers.
Because of his travels, Francis Voisin needed somebody in Jersey to supervise the shop’s day-to-day running. In 1858, he went into partnership with
In 1915, the store’s ownership passed to the third generation of the Voisin family with Colonel Francis Hazzard taking charge. Under his
ownership, Voisin & Co bought Gaudin’s – a renowned restaurant and bakery. During the 1930s, he modernised the store’s King Street properties designing the façade which has remained largely unchanged since then. When Colonel Voisin died in 1933, his son Gerald Hazzard took over. His time at the helm was tragically short as he and his wife were killed in a plane crash as they travelled from Jersey to Southampton to attend their niece’s Christening. From 1938 until 1962, the business was run by Gerald Hazzard’s brother – Colonel Francis Ogier Voisin – whose military background ensured that the business was run with a rod of iron. During the Second World War, Colonel Francis Ogier Voisin was engaged in military duties so the store’s running was entrusted to Mr C Mauger. During the Occupation, the occupying forces stored their uniforms in a warehouse in New Street which now houses Voisins’ car park.
On 1 April 1941, Voisins sent a letter of complaint to the Bailiff Alexander Coutanche regarding the responsibility for baking the Island’s bread ration being transferred from Gaudin’s to A de Gruchy. Towards the end of the Occupation, Voisins only opened on Saturdays selling secondhand goods. In 1962, Gerald Francis Voisin became the fifth generation of the Voisin family to run the store. He inherited a store with 30 departments and nearly 200 staff. By 1972, this has increased to 36 departments and 270 staff, which led to further extensions and modernisation throughout the store. In the same year, Voisins opened a branch in St Malo selling products ranging from cashmere to carpets. During this time, Voisins regularly exhibited at the trade fair in Rennes flying the flag for Voisins and Jersey.
In 1992, current owner Francis Gerald Voisin purchased the business from Gerald Francis Voisin. He continued taking the business forward, modernising the shop front in 1996. In the same year, the St Malo branch closed. Four years later, the name of the business changed from Voisin & Co to Voisins Department Store. 2004 saw the opening of a larger menswear department with the extra space being used to bring new brands to shoppers. In 2007, the ground floor of Voisins underwent a major refurbishment which included the relocation of the main staircase facilitating the creation of the Island’s leading beauty and fragrance hall and accessories department. This refurbishment was followed by an exciting new
designer fashion floor on the first floor in 2009. This £1.5 million investment brought 8,000 square feet of retail space to shoppers. March 2011 saw the opening of The White Company – the first time that The White Company has brought its homeware, clothing and childrens wear collections to the Channel Islands.

Three months later, Café 1837 opened on the first floor of Voisins – the name commemorating the date that Voisins was founded. In 2012, Voisins celebrated its 175th anniversary by bringing more exciting brands to the Island, including the world’s only River Island concession, a new luggage department, Michael Kors menswear and Lipsy. 2013 has continued this trend with Jo Malone, Joules, White Stuff and Michael Kors accessories opening in Voisins.

The History of Fort Regent As the premier leisure and entertainment facility on the island, Fort Regent is a truly unique venue
The original structure of Fort Regent dates back to 1806, although some form of crude defenses – mostly earthworks had existed since the Middle Ages or possibly earlier. It was constructed as the centrepiece of a large-scale project of the Island defenses during the Napoleonic period of aggression on the part of the French. The building of Fort Regent commenced on 1st February 1806. This was an excellent site to ensure the defence of St. Helier as it commanded a position that gave view to all possible points of attack. The Fort was not completed until 1814, the year before the Battle of Waterloo, after which the main reason for its existence evaporated. However, additional building work on the fortification continued well into the 1920’s. John Humfrey, a Royal Engineer of great ability, designed the Fort. The works were named in honour of the Prince Regent, later King George IV. British forces from 1814-1927 garrisoned it. After 1927 a small garrison of Royal Engineers remained until 1932, following which it began to fall into state of neglect. It briefly came to life again in 1939, serving as a recruitment centre of local men for the 2nd World War. With the imminent invasion by Hitler in 1940, all British forces were withdrawn from the island, and the Fort came under the occupation of the Germans. The German presence ended on May 9th 1945 when Jersey was liberated by British forces. Once the War was over Fort Regent took on an air of neglect, a situation that was aggravated by the parade ground being used as a dumping ground for cars and electrical equipment. To add further insult to this splendid monument, the local Coal merchants formed a Co-operative and used most of the 3-acre parade ground as a coal store and tip.

Explore some of Jersey’s beautiful castles to take in the island’s heritage. Mont Orgueil Castle is one of the bestpreserved castles in Britain. A medieval exhibition runs throughout the site helping everyone understand the medieval world in which it was built and its significance to Jersey over the past 800 years. There is falconry every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 2.30pm-5.30pm, weather permitting, and knights and princess costumes available for children to wear in the castle free of charge.
Glorious golden palm fringed beaches to die for, overlooked by stylish restaurants, are found along the south coast,dispersed with walks on rocky outlets and quaint harbours. Jersey is one of the few places in the world that you can sky-dive onto the beach too.
You can also visit Elizabeth Castle, built on a rocky islet in St Aubin’s Bay. It has defended Jersey for more than 300 years and is accessible at low tide by foot. At both low and high tide visitors can take the castle ferry, which will transport you across the bay to and from the castle.

Family Fun No visit to Jersey is complete without a day at Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust, where you can see more than1400 mammals, birds, reptiles and amphibians in 32 acres of beautiful gardens and parkland. Founded more than fifty years ago by the late author and naturalist Gerald Durrell, Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust is a sanctuary to more than130 endangered species. Fresh and local are the two words at the heart of Jersey’s food scene. Given its size, Jersey’s gastronomic offering packs a serious punch with plenty to offer from the sea and land. Jersey cows are the source of some of the finest dairy products in the world, and of course top quality beef. One of the island’s finest delights is its seafood, from the ormer – a Channel Island delicacy – to the worldclass oysters and delicious lobsters. VOISINS: 176 YEARS OF HISTORY IN STORE Voisin & Company was founded by Francis Voisin on 5 April 1837 as a haberdashery shop in 26 King Street. The company expanded throughout the nineteenth century opening a men’s outfitters in 1838 and a furniture department in New Street in 1868. Francis Voisin’s success stemmed largely from his determination to source the right goods for his store and he went on many buying trips around the world. With his belongings tied up in a red handkerchief, he travelled to the Continent, Asia and America in pursuit of the perfect products for his customers.
Charles Bisson and from then until Mr Bisson’s retirement in 1876, the store was called Voisin, Bisson & Co. Showing his entrepreneurial skills, Francis Voisin formed a bank to facilitate his trading in different currencies and to offer credit facilities to his customers.
With his buying trips taking him to England and France for ribbons, to Belgium, Yorkshire and Northern Ireland for linen, to the Orient for silks and to Russia for furs, Francis Voisin was the most travelled Jerseyman of his time.
He ran his bank so successfully that it was one of very few that survived the crash of many Jersey banks in the mid 1880s. It remained open until the end of the nineteenth century when English clearing banks arrived in the Island. In those early years, the demand for jobs at Voisin & Co was so great that there was a waiting list. Successful candidates underwent a three year apprenticeship, learning firstly how to wrap a parcel and then studying the stock of each department before being allowed to serve any customers.
Because of his travels, Francis Voisin needed somebody in Jersey to supervise the shop’s day-to-day running. In 1858, he went into partnership with
In 1915, the store’s ownership passed to the third generation of the Voisin family with Colonel Francis Hazzard taking charge. Under his
ownership, Voisin & Co bought Gaudin’s – a renowned restaurant and bakery. During the 1930s, he modernised the store’s King Street properties designing the façade which has remained largely unchanged since then. When Colonel Voisin died in 1933, his son Gerald Hazzard took over. His time at the helm was tragically short as he and his wife were killed in a plane crash as they travelled from Jersey to Southampton to attend their niece’s Christening. From 1938 until 1962, the business was run by Gerald Hazzard’s brother – Colonel Francis Ogier Voisin – whose military background ensured that the business was run with a rod of iron. During the Second World War, Colonel Francis Ogier Voisin was engaged in military duties so the store’s running was entrusted to Mr C Mauger. During the Occupation, the occupying forces stored their uniforms in a warehouse in New Street which now houses Voisins’ car park.
On 1 April 1941, Voisins sent a letter of complaint to the Bailiff Alexander Coutanche regarding the responsibility for baking the Island’s bread ration being transferred from Gaudin’s to A de Gruchy. Towards the end of the Occupation, Voisins only opened on Saturdays selling secondhand goods. In 1962, Gerald Francis Voisin became the fifth generation of the Voisin family to run the store. He inherited a store with 30 departments and nearly 200 staff. By 1972, this has increased to 36 departments and 270 staff, which led to further extensions and modernisation throughout the store. In the same year, Voisins opened a branch in St Malo selling products ranging from cashmere to carpets. During this time, Voisins regularly exhibited at the trade fair in Rennes flying the flag for Voisins and Jersey.
In 1992, current owner Francis Gerald Voisin purchased the business from Gerald Francis Voisin. He continued taking the business forward, modernising the shop front in 1996. In the same year, the St Malo branch closed. Four years later, the name of the business changed from Voisin & Co to Voisins Department Store. 2004 saw the opening of a larger menswear department with the extra space being used to bring new brands to shoppers. In 2007, the ground floor of Voisins underwent a major refurbishment which included the relocation of the main staircase facilitating the creation of the Island’s leading beauty and fragrance hall and accessories department. This refurbishment was followed by an exciting new
designer fashion floor on the first floor in 2009. This £1.5 million investment brought 8,000 square feet of retail space to shoppers. March 2011 saw the opening of The White Company – the first time that The White Company has brought its homeware, clothing and childrens wear collections to the Channel Islands. Three months later, Café 1837 opened on the first floor of Voisins – the name commemorating the date that Voisins was founded. In 2012, Voisins celebrated its 175th anniversary by bringing more exciting brands to the Island, including the world’s only River Island concession, a new luggage department, Michael Kors menswear and Lipsy. 2013 has continued this trend with Jo Malone, Joules, White Stuff and Michael Kors accessories opening in Voisins.

Tassili: Jersey’s taste sensation Grand Jersey’s fine dining restaurant, Tassili, opened its doors for the first time in 2007, following the completion of a multi-million pound refurbishment of the hotel. Earlier that year the hotel had appointed talented executive head chef, Richard Allen, with the aim of creating a fine dining restaurant that would be recognised and revered both in Jersey and nationally. That dream became a reality in 2011 when Tassili was awarded a coveted Michelin star. “You’d be surprised to know how much hard work goes into the running of a Michelin starred restaurant,” says Richard. “We’ve never taken the accolade for granted and have continued to work tirelessly to not only maintain, but also to improve, the dining experience for our guests.”

Following in the footsteps of his father, Richard trained at Bournemouth and Poole catering school before embarking on his career as a chef, working with a variety of renowned chefs including Australian master chef Cheong Liew, Martin Blunos and Michele Roux JR - all of whom have influenced Richard’s own style. After working in various Michelin starred kitchens, Richard took up the head chef role at the Cavendish Restaurant in Bath where he gained his first three AA Rosettes. Three years later he relocated to Jersey to take up the position of executive head chef at Grand Jersey and after only six months, Richard and his team were awarded three AA Rosettes for Tassili and in 2011 secured the coveted Michelin star. “The hard work, however, is paying off and we’ve received fantastic recognition from our industry and from our peers since wining the star,’ adds Richard. ‘Securing the Michelin star late in 2011, set us up for an amazing 2012. I was recognised as the Craft Guild of Chefs ‘Restaurant Chef of the Year’ and then in August, Tassili was included in the Good Food Guide for the first time, and also voted the fourth-best restaurant in Chef

Magazine’s Olympic edition. The great news didn’t stop there, in the October I was named Hotel Catey’s ‘Hotel Chef of the Year’ (with less than 250 covers).” Richard being added as a new face in the 2013 edition of People of Today rounded off a successful 2012. Richard’s inclusion was fantastic recognition of years of hard work and devotion. 2013 was also a year of great success for Tassili, making the shortlist for the prestigious AA Wine Awards and with restaurant manager and sommelier, Shaun Corrigan, reaching the final of the Academy of Food and Wine Service’s UK Restaurant Manager of the Year competition. Tassili’s ongoing success, although envisaged by Richard, is delivered by a gifted team of people, including 4 chefs, a team of enthusiastic and well trained waiting staff and a restaurant manager and sommelier with an exceptional nose for wine and for great service. “It’s very much a team effort,” says Richard. “We work exceptionally well together and it is because the whole team is committed to delivering high service standards and exceptional and unusual experiences that we have been able to put Tassili on the map. We have come up with some different and interesting concepts which deliver outstanding experiences.”

If you haven’t eaten in a while, bring a light snack with you or have a piece of fruit at the spa to bring up your blood sugar following a treatment. • Chill out Take it easy and don’t do anything too strenuous right after spending time at the spa. Try not to plan anything right after, unless you are just getting beauty treatments like a manicure-pedicure, it ruins all that beautiful relaxation. The History of Fort Regent As the premier leisure and entertainment facility on the island, Fort Regent is a truly unique venue
The original structure of Fort Regent dates back to 1806, although some form of crude defenses – mostly earthworks had existed since the Middle Ages or possibly earlier. It was constructed as the centrepiece of a large-scale project of the Island defenses during the Napoleonic period of aggression on the part of the French. The building of Fort Regent commenced on 1st February 1806. This was an excellent site to ensure the defence of St. Helier as it commanded a position that gave view to all possible points of attack. The Fort was not completed until 1814, the year before the Battle of Waterloo, after which the main reason for its existence evaporated. However, additional building work on the fortification continued well into the 1920’s. John Humfrey, a Royal Engineer of great ability, designed the Fort. The works were named in honour of the Prince Regent, later King George IV. British forces from 1814-1927 garrisoned it. After 1927 a small garrison of Royal Engineers remained until 1932, following which it began to fall into state of neglect. It briefly came to life again in 1939, serving as a recruitment centre of local men for the 2nd World War. With the imminent invasion by Hitler in 1940, all British forces were withdrawn from the island, and the Fort came under the occupation of the Germans. The German presence ended on May 9th 1945 when Jersey was liberated by British forces. Once the War was over Fort Regent took on an air of neglect, a situation that was aggravated by the parade ground being used as a dumping ground for cars and electrical equipment. To add further insult to this splendid monument, the local Coal merchants formed a Co-operative and used most of the 3-acre parade ground as a coal store and tip.

Meet the Concierge: Hugo de Castro Have I had any strange requests? As a concierge you get asked to look after luggage, bags etc, but I don’t know how many concierges have been left in charge of a goldfish! One of our clients bought a goldfish, and specified that it had to live in Evian water. So I took care of the goldfish, and kept it in Evian until she came back the following year. Describe a typical day for a concierge. There’s more to it than you’d imagine. For example, picking people up from Jersey airport is one thing, but I’ve been sent to Gatwick to escort clients over to the island. I even had a request to travel to South Africa to bring one client back, but that was a little too far… A concierge’s job is never done. People talk to you and often they confide in you too. You’re a shoulder to cry on. I’ve had to act as marriage counsellor a few times! Kids seem to love me too. You see them growing up, and before you know it, they’re married and they’ve got kids of their own. I say to them, ‘I might have been your babysitter, but I’m too old to babysit your children’!
Hugo is part of Grand Jersey’s heritage, he’s been the concierge at the hotel for 30 years, and the saying is, if Hugo doesn’t know the answer, there isn’t one. How does it feel to have so much history with the hotel? You know, it doesn’t feel like 30 years. It’s like I walked in yesterday.
We like to look after our guests, from the start to the finish of their stay. If our guests are flying home in the evening, and returning to an empty fridge, we’ll send them home with a pack of milk, teabags and cheese and crackers, fruit and so on. They’re our clients and we feel a duty of care to them. It’s the attention to detail that makes a difference. This is why people come back, year after year. My favourite recommendation? Lunch in France. People never believe it’s so easy, but the boat leaves from the harbour in the morning, you can have lunch in St Malo and be back at the hotel in time for dinner. The island of Sark is a paradise for nature-lovers, and just 45 minutes away. When people go home, they say ‘we’ve been to France, we’ve been to Sark’ and they feel they’ve got so much out of their holiday.
Everyone knows me. I’ve had a few nicknames over the years, but my favourites have to be ‘The Living Legend’ or ‘The Oracle’. People can’t believe that I can remember so many details, but that’s just me.
My favourite spot in the hotel would have to be the Champagne Lounge. In the summer, the Terrace comes a close second, or up in the Major Pierson Suite overlooking the sea. There’s nowhere like Grand Jersey.
I’m a people person. You couldn’t put me in front of a computer. People want that personal touch. You can search for anything on the internet, but to actually have a chat with the right person, and get the most accurate information - that’s priceless.
My secret skill? Believe it or not, I’m often called on to act as a sort of personal shopper. I’ll escort the ladies into town, carry the bags, and sit there and say ‘it looks absolutely awesome on you’ and ‘fit for a princess’ and they’re thrilled. I could even say I enjoy it now…

If Music be the Food of Love… Bossa Basseline Music are Jersey born musicians Carole Le Gresley and Jules Wakeham. Carole and Jules are recognised for their sophisticated combination of the tenor saxophone and nylon-strung guitar. Together they create a rich, distinct sound, performing diverse instrumental music as the Bossa Basseline Duo. Carole and Jules met by chance in 2003. Carole was an established solo guitarist, performing in Jersey for clients such as the BBC Antiques Roadshow and Ford Cars. Jules meanwhile had many years of experience on the London jazz scene, performing at renowned jazz venues such as the Café de Paris and for Cunard. As the Bossa Basseline Duo, Carole and Jules now perform a diverse repertoire of jazz, latin, bossa nova, love-songs, swing, rat-pack, easy-listening and pop and soul classics. Bossa Basseline Music now offer a host of bands for clients to choose from: these are the Bossa Basseline Duo, the Bossa Basseline Latin Trio, the Bossa Basseline Jazz Trio, the Solo Guitarist and the Bossa Basseline Jazz Quartet. Food or art? We go behind the scenes with Richard Allen, chef at Tassili, Grand Jersey’s Michelin-starred restaurant as he creates one of his signature dishes: turbot with chancre crab, textures of saffron, black quinoa and crab essence
What should you look for when you’re buying fresh fish? ‘Bright eyes, bouncy skin, bright gills, a natural slime to it. An old fish will be dry and wrinkly, a fresh one will be slimy! Line-caught turbot is the best, but if not you can source excellent fish from the Turbot Farm at St Catherine’s’
Favourite dish on the menu? ‘ This one actually! I love working with turbot. Cooking it sous-vide and then finishing it in the pan cooks it more gently and it produces a consistent result every time.’ PHOTO - Picked Jersey crab and fresh egg yolks

- Tassili at Grand Jersey Favourite local produce? ‘Jersey chancre crab is awesome. We’re known for our Jersey Royals, which are great potatoes but for me Jersey crab is one of our top local products. It’s out of this world - sweet fleshed and extremely high quality. If you can buy a live crab and cook it yourself that’s great, but you can buy picked crab from a local supplier - I use Louis Jackson from the Fresh Fish Company. Use it the same day you buy it or cook it crab is better the freshest it is.’ Chef’s tip: ‘Pan-frying fish? Don’t oil the pan - this will create steam. Oil the fish instead first, this will give you more contact with the pan and you’ll get a better result. Then I’ll add butter and verjus - I use verjus (juice of unripe grapes) instead of lemon. It’s not as harsh but still gives that acidic edge.’

Tarragon, chervil and parsley are called TCP in the cheffing world, and they’re a perfect addition to fish sauces. I’ve added chives instead of parsley for a twist.’
How has fine dining changed? ‘There’s more emphasis on flavour and texture. I think chefs went through a bit of a nouveau stage where we wanted to make the dishes look pretty, but now we’ve gone back to an easier more fluid presentation focusing on flavour profiles and textures. For example, we’ll use goat’s cheese and beetroot, but there’ll be five different textures of beetroot in the dish.’ What’s the secret of innovative flavour combinations? ‘It’s about finding winning combinations, and then refining them. Saffron and turbot work really well together. You have to balance the flavours as saffron can tend to have a metallic tang, but the creaminess of the crab counterbalances it.’
Chef’s tip: ‘Make mayonnaise slowly - use quality ingredients and ensure you know where your eggs have come from. Or you can use pasteurised eggs in liquid form. I use chardonnay vinegar, but you could use malt vinegar if you prefer. It’s better to whisk it the old fashioned way, because you can really control how it comes together.’ Is it all about constantly assessing the flavours? ‘ Yes - for much of our cooking we use Maldon sea salt for example because it’s softer than ordinary table salt and you can build a profile of flavours in the pan gradually. I’m using tarragon, chives and chervil with this turbot - that’s a great mix with fish.

When we look good, we feel good WHAT IS THE FIRST THING THAT YOU LOOK AT IN THE MIRROR IN THE MORNING? Most of my clients ask me how they can improve their baggy eyes, saggy necks and stubborn tummy fat! We all have a tendency to focus on the areas we don’t like instead of appreciating our good bits. They say “beauty is in the eye of the beholder”... I think beauty is healthy looking, glowing skin and confidence.
When we look good, we feel good. GLOWING SKIN TIPS PROTECTION UVA protection is really important, sun block is your no 1 beauty tool for the face. Every day, every month, it doesn’t need to be sunny. When it is sunny you can get enough sunshine on your arms for your vitamin D production. Think UVA even on a cloudy day, it slices deep into the skin causing wrinkles, broken veins and brown sun spots. Mineral sunscreen is the best containing Zinc Oxide, it blocks the rays whereas chemical suncreams absorb them, but not all of them, some are let through.
Heliocare with antiageing Fernblock won the best cosmeceutical product 2012 in the main Aesthetic industry awards. I use factor 30 normally and factor 50 when I go on holiday. The Skin Cancer Foundation currently recommend a minimum of factor 30.
EXFOLIATION In our 20’s our skin cells naturally exfoliate and completely shed every 30 days. When we get into our 30’s and 40’s + it slows down and can take around 60 days . No wonder our skin can look dull and tired. The flattened surface cells can also be stuck together with a glue like substance which stops them shedding normally. Exfoliation with Glycolic and Lactic AHA’s unsticks the “glue”, removes dead, flat keratin from the surface of the skin and plumper, younger cells are stimulated to come to the surface. The sun’s rays can then bounce beautifully off those lovely young plump skin cells and you get your glow back! NB see suncare article left! Cosmeceuticals AHA multilayer facial peel contains both Glycolic and Lactic and also Salycilic which is very good for treating acne. NUTRITION A lot of research and development is going on in the skin care industry to formulate ingredients which penetrate deep into the dermis to slow down the ageing process. You may have heard of Medigrade or Cosmeceutical grade creams. In a nutshell, cosmetic creams pretty much stay on the skin’s surface and have low percentages of ingredients, whereas Cosmeceuticals are formulated with smaller molecules and much larger percentage ingredients. They tend to be only available in a specialist clinic by a medically qualified aesthetician. The current buzz is good old Vitamin A, this promotes the production of skin cells and regenerates ageing and sun damaged skin. Vitamins C and E are good antioxidants. I love Retriderm serum from Aestheticare which contains a bioavailable form of Vitamin A, also vitamin E , collagen and elastin. It’s a wonderful cocktail of skin nutrition, available in a step up programme of 0.5% then 1%. I also retail the Idebenone range from Cosmeceuticals. Idebenone is a man made molecule with amazing antioxidant properties, it is 1,000 times stronger than coenzyme Q10 and the molecule is 60% smaller. Clinically proven wrinkle and pigmentation reduction and skin tightening.
INCH LOSS, CELLULITE REDUCTION AND SKIN TIGHTENING Back to those eye bags and saggy bits! Isn’t it frustrating when you are in the gym 3 times a week and you still have stubborn areas of fat and cellulite? Radio Frequency (RF) has been around for a few years now with the original mono polar machines such as Thermage. These events allow companies to enjoy clients’ company in a more relaxed and social manner. This helps to forge both work and social relationships with clients. Inviting the right people to a networking gathering is paramount, not only to build and nurture relationships but also to ensure a valuable return on investment. Personal invitations make the event feel more exclusive to the receiver, rather than a blanket invitation sent to an entire database. The event should be as targeted as any other sales and marketing activity undertaken by your organisation. Corporate hospitality can be combined with corporate social responsibility messages, and although this is not a new idea, it allows for greater return on investment. CSR strategies are bound within the overall business strategy so showcasing CSR messages at corporate
– building and nurturing tegic event organisation hospitality events will help to promote the overall business strategy, without sounding like a sales pitch. There are a number of key events in the Channel Islands calendar that attract a variety of companies from different industries to build their entertainment strategy around. These events include the Jersey Boat Show, charity balls and awards dinners, Jersey International Festival of Motoring and of course the International Air Display. These large events can act as a good host to promote your local CSR activity and may be worth organising events around.
Maintaining and developing client relationships can be both time and cost efficient. Whilst corporate hospitality can form an important part of maintaining client relationships, companies must be mindful that events should have a clear set of goals to achieve, such as making clients feel valued or forming social bonds with clients. An event that is not focused on enabling relationships to flourish may well be a waste of budget will have little return on investment. The better relationship you have with your clients, the better your reputation will be.
