THE HILLS: BUYERS STILL HUNGRY FOR PROPERTY AS THE ROBUST SALES MARKET CONTINUES THROUGHOUT WINTER “The Hills have continued to defy historical house sales patterns by recording a last minute June increase in property prices,” said Trevor. Historical trends suggest that sales activity tends to be more sluggish over the winter months, but Greater Western Sydney has continued with record price growth of over $100,000 increases as from January. The Hills and Greater Western Sydney have experienced strong growth in 2014, unlike Adelaide and Perth, which each saw a fall in median in their home values. Trevor said, “More people are selling their homes by auction this year and this is a sign of a market that is performing well
and delivering results for sellers and buyers.”

WHAT MAKES US WINNERS? I often ask how many people believe in the power of written goals; every hand shoots up. Although when I ask how many of them have written goals for this year, very few hands go up. These are the principles I follow in my own practice of setting goals: Keep them few in number. Productivity studies show that you really can’t focus on more than 5–7 items at any one time; focus on a handful of goals that you can repeat almost from memory. Write them down. This is critical. There is a huge power in writing your goals down even if you never develop an action plan or do anything else, you are stating your intention and setting things in motion.
Review them frequently. Whilst writing your goals down is a powerful exercise in itself, the real juice is in reviewing them on a regular basis. This is what turns them into reality. Every time I review my goals, I ask myself: What’s the next step I need to take to move toward this goal. If you don’t have written goals, let me encourage you to work on them. You can get a rough draft done in as little as an hour or two. Few things in life pay such rich dividends for such a modest investment. When it absolutely positively has to be sold or leased for the highest price contact TLRE we constantly exceed our client’s expectations.
