If you’re looking for an excuse to get off the couch this spring, these upcoming 5K runs might be just the ticket. Whether you’re running to stay fit or to help a local charity, there are plenty of events to choose from in May.

Stache Dash 5K is May 3 at 9 a.m. through the streets of Buckhead to benefit the One Love Generation, a non-profit organization that empowers youth to inspire positive local change through art, service and awareness. Put on your superhero costume and head over to Piedmont Park on May 10 for the SuperCon Fun Run. The event will benefit the Ben Cohen StandUp Foundation to prevent bullying. supercon5k.com.

The Zombie Run is more about thrills and chills than improving your overall time. There will be two races on May 24: a daytime event that will be a 3.1 run with obstacles as man-eating zombies chase you.
